🗞*COVID NEWS AND COMMENTARY* 🗞

🔥 This week, Florida’s Inspector General finished investigating all of crackpot media darling Rebekah Jones’ bizarre allegations that Governor DeSantis was cooking the covid books in Florida. The IG issued a 27-page final report going through each and every allegation and finding that none of them had any merit, not even a scrap. Surprise.

During the pandemic, Jones was extensively interviewed by every corporate media outlet except Fox who cheerfully repeated all Jones’ widely-debunked claims. They stopped reporting on her just after she was arrested for hacking into Florida’s computer system — after she was fired. So far, corporate media has only delicately reported on the IG’s new report. I don’t know why you listen to those people.

Jones, by the way, is running for Congress! On her campaign website, she describes herself like this:

The Florida scientist, whistleblower and mother who risked it all to fight corrupt government, cementing her place in history as our very own Florida heroine.

Her website also helpfully lists all the fawning corporate media endorsements that she’s received over her completely meritless allegations.

🔥 Yesterday, replacement governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) breathlessly announced a huge advance for gay rights, or trans rights, or non-binary rights, or something, when she courageously signed a new law permitting people to put an “X” on their driver’s license under the word “Sex,” instead of “male” or “female.”

New York’s new law represents the cutting edge of advanced woke logic. Which means, no logic at all.

First, what a slap in the face to alphabet people (LGBTQII++). Only one of them got their letter. What about the rest, you bigot? And if you’d bothered to check the letters, you might have noticed ‘X’ isn’t even in there!

Second, “X?” Really? Their “Sex” is now “X” rated. Brilliant. Late night shows are going to get a month’s worth of material out of this. Real geniuses, you got there, New York! Next time they should try to tackle something easier like regulating crayon colors.

Wait! Maybe “X” is a new designation for people working in the smut, I mean porn, oops I mean “adult entertainment” business, in which case, it kind of makes sense. Kind of.

Kathy, get your mind out of the gutter.

🔥 Although absent from New York, logic may be finally penetrating the murky depths of our military. Just the News ran a story this week headlined, “In Rebuke to Pentagon, Navy Board Finds 3-0 for Vax Objector Amid Questions of Mandate’s Lawfulness.”

A 22-year Navy Lieutenant, Billy Moseley, unanimously won a review board hearing over his refusal to take the jab. He opted neither to retire or even to submit a religious objection form, since he’d heard that the Navy was just denying religious exemptions anyway. Instead he refused to comply with what he decided was an unlawful order.

Ultimately, the board voted 3-0 that Moseley’s refusal to follow the covid vaccine order was not misconduct, and he should remain in the Navy. He and his lawyers hope Moseley’s case will be precedent for thousands of similar cases pending in that branch.

💉 Logic has shown up in Arizona, too. Last Friday, Governor Doug Ducey (R-AZ) signed a new law banning state health officials from adding covid shots to the list of required public school vaccinations, and, for good measure, banned mask mandates in ANY government building in Arizona. Back in April, Arizona passed a law banning SCHOOL mask mandates without a parental opt-in.

💉 The UK Office for National Statistics published new data this month disclosing that, between January 2021 and March 2022, a total of 69,466 people died within 28 days of covid vaccination, and 109,408 people died within 60 days of getting the jab. The vast majority were “non-covid” deaths.

Unless they’re jabbing people on their deathbeds, this data should raise some serious questions. But don’t hold your breath. There are bigger problems to solve, like what letter to use on people’s driver’s license to designate their gender. Use logic.

The new data also showed that 95% of all the deaths were in jabbed people, and that unjabbed people in England have the lowest average mortality rate. Not total numbers. RATE. According to the ONS figures, the double-jabbed currently have the highest trending average mortality rate of any category.

🔥 According to the Wall Street Journal, Washington, D.C.’s Attorney General sued Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg this week. The suit is over a ‘data breach,’ where conservative British political analysis group Cambridge Analytica received information on about 80 million Facebook users and allegedly used that information to help President Trump’s election campaign. Cambridge shuttered operations in 2018 because of all the media attention.

This new lawsuit sure makes it look like the dems still don’t trust Zuck, despite all the Zuckerbucks he contributed to the elections. Very interesting. I guess you really can’t buy love.

It’s odd timing that Jack Dorsey stepped down from Twitter’s board right before the dems sued Zuckerberg. It could mean nothing, because Twitter’s annual board meeting was hard-scheduled, and Twitter is in the midst of the Musk purchase controversy, but still.

📈 Taiwan, which is 85% jabbed and has the highest voluntary mask compliance rate of any country in the world (95%+), is watching covid cases take off like a rocket with no sign of landing on this planet anytime soon.

Not surprisingly, Taiwan is also experiencing its record for “covid positive” deaths. Its population is comparable to Florida’s, and for comparison, Florida’s last WEEKLY report included +24 covid deaths. Taiwan’s DAILY report for May 27th included +126 deaths, averaging +71 per day over the last week, for a weekly total of +497.

Jabs and masks don’t seem to be working too well in Taiwan, for some reason.

🙈 Quebec’s public health director Dr. Luc Boileau said Thursday that +25 cases of monkeypox have now been confirmed in the Canadian province. Fourteen of them are in the city of Montreal, though all cases are tied to the greater Montreal area. They might want to see if there were any “festivals” in Montreal recently.

Quebec is now offering the smallpox vaccine to those “at high risk of contracting the disease.” I wonder if they should probe what group that could be? Oh, it says it right here: “such as those who have been in contact with confirmed cases.”

Okay, but what about the sexual networkers?

All Canada’s monkeypox cases fit the usual transmission profile, except that last week, Quebec’s health department breathlessly announced there “IS one case affecting a minor.” But yesterday, health officials gloomily admitted that testing showed the minor did NOT have monkeypox. Dang it.

Again, why do you even listen to those people?

💉 The Wall Street Journal ran a delightfully optimistic story last month headlined, “Why We’re All Forgetting Things Right Now.”

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Just stop.

The sub-headline says, “Short, temporary moments of forgetfulness are happening to more of us more often these days, memory experts say.” I still know what you’re thinking! People, please. Give them a chance to explain.

The story begins with a rollicking anecdote about Professor Grant Shields, a PhD MEMORY RESEARCHER. Shields was teaching a college seminar the previous week when his mind just went blank. The young professor had completely forgotten the name of his own teaching assistant. Nothing there. Zip. Not only that, when he tried to fake it and guessed the wrong name, his students erupted in laughter. It was appalling.

“I was embarrassed,” admitted 32-year-old Dr. Shields. “I wish my memory was as good as it used to be.” Like back when he was 31.

The WSJ’s cherry-picked experts said the cause is the ja… sorry, not that, it’s just the STRESS of so much change going on in the world right now. It’s a crazy place out there. People are going back to the workplace and stuff and in case you weren’t aware, there’s a war on in Ukraine. Your memory capacity is running low, say the experts. It’s at like 5%.

“Our brains are like computers with so many tabs open right now,” said neuroscientist Sara C. Mednick, scientifically. “This slows down our processing power, and memory is one of the areas that falters.”

See? The brain — the most complex and mysterious thing in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE — is “just like” Windows operating system. It’s running low on memory chips or something because it can’t handle change very well. Never before in human history has there been job location changes PLUS a war in a single European country, so what do you expect to happen?

Seeming to realize that explanation might not be enough for SOME PEOPLE (ahem), the Journal also tossed out a grab bag of other possibilities: it could be pandemic stress, pandemic monotony, social media scrolling, virtual distractions, etc. In other words, the experts are baffled again. They’re grasping at paper straws.

The article offered another funny anecdote. Recently, 39-year-old mother Michelle Triant said she struggled to answer her 4-year-old daughter’s question, “mommy, did I grow in your tummy?” Michelle answered, “No, sweetheart, actually, you grew in my… ” but completely drew a blank. Perfectly fogged.

Breaking the awkward silence, Michelle’s 7-year-old daughter gave the assist: “She means uterus,” she told her younger sister. “Babies grow in the mom’s uterus but her belly gets bigger which is why that’s confusing.”

Chagrined, the 39-year-old wished, “Oh, to have the memory of a first-grader.”

But I wonder. What ELSE could be different between the 39-year-old mom and the 7-year-old daughter, hmm? I know, I know, it’s not fair; I told YOU not to do it and now here I am thinking the exact same thing.

The article, baffled and out of ideas, turned to offering helpful suggestions for young adults coping with the tragedy of memory loss. The Journal suggested: pay better attention, stop the mindless scrolling, put the dang phone down, turn off the TV (wait, young people still watch TV?), and approach conversations “intentionally,” whatever that means. Do they think we’re having accidental conversations without realizing it or something?

Lots of great suggestions. But not one word about possible neurological effects from the you-know-whats. Even though that is just what half of us are thinking reading the garbage story.

So I guess it’s totally normal now for young people to have “senior moments.” I think they might have to come up with a new term, like “young adult moments.” It’s not very snappy, but it was the best I could come up with on short notice.

🚀 *THE MINORITY REPORT* 🚀

🚀 Despite all his hot rhetoric about defending Taiwan from a Chinese invasion, Joe Biden has been pretty friendly to the communist giant behind the scenes. According to Nikkei ASIA, recently Biden has taken a very favorable approach to China. His apparently reckless warmongering rhetoric masks what looks a lot more like political sexual networking to me, if I understand the concept. Here’s how the Asian economic magazine put it:

Biden’s indication that the U.S. would use force to defend Taiwan grabbed global headlines, yet, paradoxically, Biden has gradually been easing pressure on China. Examples include letting China off the hook over the COVID-19 origins, dropping U.S. fraud charges against the daughter of the founder of China’s Huawei Technologies, and allowing Beijing to escape scot-free over its failure to meet commitments in the so-called Phase One trade deal with Washington. Further, Biden revealed in Tokyo that he was considering rolling back trade tariffs on Chinese products, an action that would break his promise not to unilaterally lift tariffs unless Beijing’s behavior improved.

That’s not all. Even more significantly, this week Biden announced a new “Indo-Pacific Economic Framework,” which is a very favorable trade deal with a group of asian countries, which deleted Taiwan — a key global semiconductor hub. Right when nobody can get computer chips. Tellingly, the White House has made NO announcement related to leaving Taiwan out in the cold.

It’s almost like Biden is trying to help China while emitting a dense fog of bellicose war language to distract everybody. It’s probably nothing.
