So enjoy your bonus edition of Coffee & Covid this morning, including: a quick update on the OSHA Mandate case which IS headed to the Supreme Court; a democrat-led public records request uncovers interesting history about the NIH’s efforts to silence opposing views; and the Biden Administration is FREAKING OUT about the possibility that Omicron could wipe out the injection market, or something, and they are getting ready to deploy their final solution.
🗞*COVID NEWS AND COMMENTARY* 🗞
🧑⚖️ Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt tweeted yesterday that the OSHA Mandate injunction case has in fact been appealed from the 6th Circuit to the Supreme Court. I’ll admit that it’s a little nerve-wracking to find out if I’ve been right in how I’ve been viewing what the Supreme Court has been up to regarding the vaccine injunction cases. We are going to find out pretty quickly, since the Supreme Court will decide to take or reject the case within the next few days.
🌲 Dr. Jay Bhattacharya is a highly-regarded Stanford epidemiologist, and was one of the three scientists who originally signed the Great Barrington Declaration. The Declaration, signed in the late summer of 2020, called for governments to use a “focused protection” approach and let the healthy population develop immunity through exposure. Then, once herd immunity was achieved, you could remove the protections and let the at-risk folks back into society.
It’s starting to look like they were 100% correct.
But at the time, although Coffee & Covid supported the Declaration (long before I’d worked with Dr. Bhattacharya), the International media savaged it and its three original authors: Dr. Bhattacharya, Dr. Martin Kulldorf, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta of Oxford. It was a media blood orgy. But why?
