Call me crazy, but how do two tropical islands - where it rains every day - have “wildfires”?

And why are there trees still standing in the videos????

Anyone who’s been to Maui knows how windy it is there all the time. They want us to believe a hurricane over 700 miles away blew hard enough to start the fires? Nope 👎🏻. Let’s think back to the Oregon fires of 2020 that they blamed on climate change only to find out it was all or mostly arson. Let’s ponder the Canadian fires of recent…. Um ya…. Now Maui is on fire. How long until the truth of that slips out and we find out it’s all arson or some other intentional act. 🤦🏼‍♀️ The key word being INTENTIONAL!

Lots of richies have compounds there. Rumor is they're using the fire to cover up shenanigans at Oprah's sprawling pedo? ranch (with massive tunnel complex underneath).

My mom sent me a video clip of Jesse Waters the other night talking about the fires. We don’t watch any msm but they only watch him on Fox. I wanted to vomit as he talked about how this was horrible for the locals and the jobs and poor Oprah Winfrey who has a house there.

😒 Boo Hoo Hoo. Poor Oprah! What will she ever do. How will she ever rebuild! I threw up in my mouth that he had the audacity to even mention her name when discussing the real locals who live and need to survive there. Shame on him!

This idol worship of gazillionaire 'celebrities' is so ridiculous and spiritually dangerous. It makes money and fame something to worship.

Well I resent the word 'celebrity' because I for one, do NOT celebrate them.

The old wisdom of 'beware of those things that take you away from God' comes to mind.

People used to celebrate holy men and women known as saints in Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox Christian traditions.

What a turn around!! 🙄😡Satan's values today. God's values were yesterday.

"What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul".

"celeber, celebra, celebrum" the adjective, thick--spoke of the density of followers, hangers-on, "clients" when you walked down to the Forum. The more 'clients' a statesman had, the (obviously) more important he was. It's all about the numbers. Then and now. Not about inner worth.

Someone I was watching the other day (I think perhaps it was Jesse Watters), did have a short segment on the possible causes of the fires in Hawaii, and he mentioned that there have been numerous cases of arson on the island in recent years. I believe I have heard that about 85% of the fires in California are due to humans, whether it be carelessness or arson.

I’d buy that, actually. My gut instinct after seeing the damage was, there’s a special place in hell for these people who are burning the world right now. And that’s not Mother Nature.

Boy, those 2020 fires here in Oregon were crazy. Odd how so many were up and down the I5 corridor. No way they were natural. Was a scary time.

Expand full comment
Sunnydaze's avatar

It was awful. We had just moved away but my family lives there. My parents had to evacuate twice as it was closing in on there place not far from I-5. I was coordinating with my sister to make sure they were safe. It was so obvious the fires were being set all over the place. They even caught some of them and to my knowledge none of them were charged or went to prison for the millions in damages. My aunt lives in a neighborhood on the other side of Salem and everyone in their neighborhood lost everything! My aunts house was the only one still standing. So incredibly sad.

Renea Buchholz's avatar

That was horrific. We had friends up McKenzie River who were awakened at midnight to get out. They escaped through the flames with their two children. We lived in Eugene and the smoke was so intense. Our blue governor let one of those east of Salem burn until it was too late to catch ..if my memory serves me correctly.

Sunnydaze's avatar

Same with my aunt and grandma that she cares for with dementia. Got woke up at midnight and told to get out. Through the smoke and fire they went. To a motel with nothing but their clothes on their backs. For weeks before she chose to go see if she still had a house.

The gov brownstain we called her, let people’s lives be ruined. She is a stain on humanity.

It was so crazy that my aunts house had only a small amount of smoke damage. They moved right back in. It proved to her God is real. She is caring for my grandma. She hasn’t got money. They barely make it. If they had lost their home we don’t know what they would’ve done. It would have been life destroying. However, she also struggled with what happened to all her neighbors. I saw the video. Nothing else was left standing. 😞

I was thinking about ED in Maui. Interesting suggestion. Because, "we don't give a xx'x xxxx about collateral (read: human) damage since all those other dead cover our tracks for us". Except that they don't provide the desired coverage, since we all are turning skeptical (if not cynical) about every untoward occurrence.

Could some fires be from something going on under the earth?

Expand full comment
Sunnydaze's avatar

I don’t know enough about that to comment, however look at the under ocean volcanoes. ????

I went to the beach in Florida the other day and the water was almost too warm to be in it. I later found out where I was it was 94 degrees!!! And Tampa bay is at 97 degrees and down in Miami it’s 100 degrees in the water!! So anything is possible. I think it was Jeff’s excellent reporting about the volcano eruption that clued me in to why the water is so hot! Hottest ever on record I’m told.

When we visited Volcanoes National Park on The Big Island, the rangers had an edge of an active lava flow where people could walk on the hardened lava. It was still glowing red in the gaps. The soles of my running shoes got tacky from the heat of standing on the hot lava, and the air around us was very hot. Given dry, windy conditions, a lava flow could set a wildfire, would be my guess. But it still seems possibly more likely that they were set. It would be easy to see if the earliest part of the fire(s) was at a point of active lava flow or not.

Finally got hold of a friend there and it is horrible. Lots of dead and estimated now up to 300. 3 people we know lost their homes and the entire town of Lahaina is leveled and gone. No power, water or cell phones. The islands have been in a heavy drought and with hurricane Dora pushing winds up to 80mph a single spark was enough. Lahaina was a Hawaiian jewel that is no longer.

My heart is breaking for them! We love Lahaina! We’ve been there multiple times over the years. Happened to be there when they celebrated the birthday of the old historic Banya tree in the middle of town. Now gone. We had said if we ever went back we would stay in Lahaina as that was our favorite spot. 😢 My heart breaks for the locals and their homes and jobs and livelihoods.

I heard about the winds. Either way….. we just are keenly aware of what liars the govt and media is. Problem is, even if they are telling the truth - why would we believe anything they say? But, it doesn’t stop the grief for the people that live there and are devastated. 😭

I was last in Lahaina in 2006, and I remember there was a fire not far from the town. I was shocked because I didn't realize there were fires on Maui fairly often. It's definitely windy there as a rule, so any fire would be spread quickly in the dry areas.
