I don’t know enough about that to comment, however look at the under ocean volcanoes. ????
I went to the beach in Florida the other day and the water was almost too warm to be in it. I later found out where I was it was 94 degrees!!! And Tampa bay is at 97 degrees and down in Miami it’s 100 degrees in the water!! So anything is possible. I think it was Jeff’s excellent reporting about the volcano eruption that clued me in to why the water is so hot! Hottest ever on record I’m told.
I am in Boca Raton. This is my 10th summer here and maybe the hottest.I find the beach uncomfortable in the summer so I havent been, but for the Atlantic to be that warm...wow! Be careful. Warm water can bring amoeba.
When we visited Volcanoes National Park on The Big Island, the rangers had an edge of an active lava flow where people could walk on the hardened lava. It was still glowing red in the gaps. The soles of my running shoes got tacky from the heat of standing on the hot lava, and the air around us was very hot. Given dry, windy conditions, a lava flow could set a wildfire, would be my guess. But it still seems possibly more likely that they were set. It would be easy to see if the earliest part of the fire(s) was at a point of active lava flow or not.
Especially since there’s been no speculation on cause. “They” should have blamed it on someone or something by now, which makes me think it was “them” 🧐
Could some fires be from something going on under the earth?

We are thinking of heading to Boca for vacation sometime. Love it over there too!
Thanks for the heads up on the warm water amoeba!

There's no active lava flow on Maui. These were arson, 200%

Thanks; I don't follow it, so I didn't know. I suspected arson.
