Many of us knew an escalation with Russia was in the cards last summer. The many ways you keep the emergency state going. The really sad thing is many of us knew what the playbook would before the 2020 election, and sadly everyone of them has been utilized in the last year. “Wag the Dog” was so obvious, I wonder how everyone can be so gullible, but the media is hand and glove in all of this.

What about mask mandates on public transportation? When will that be dropped? The vaccine mandates for truckers, health professionals have not been dropped either. This is nowhere near enough to salvage the D’s chances. Inflation still rampant, vaccine mandates still being pushed, CRT still going strong and don’t forget most of the population are still considered terrorists. I guess they need something to push. After all people have good memories and won’t forget what happened.

Unfortunately a lot of voters DO have short memories. I think they are hoping by the time November rolls around people will have forgotten. But am sure this administration will be serving more large helpings of outrageous BS between now and then, that even if people do forget, there will be new reasons. The fraud worries me though....

True. Despite being in a red state, with no statewide mandates, and an aggressive AG, our blue county legislature, who was beat down with lots of us calling, emailing, and showing up to meetings to drop the mask mandate. A few weeks later, they tried to slip in a new health department ordinance, that among other things, would allow the health department to forcibly quarantine people and allowed schools and day cares to ban unvaxxed kids from attending. So they DOUBLED DOWN on their power mad grab. Guess they thought we were no longer paying attention. Wrong! We doubled down on our efforts and they withdrew the ordinance. Watching them like a hawk, they will try again.

They won't be for much longer. The only way to change the narrative when nothing has actually changed is to stop over-reporting and start under-reporting. You'll see asymptomatic testing going away, and hospitals will all of a sudden stop reporting deaths with Covid as being "from Covid." Nobody will care about case rates anymore. It'll just be a count of people who are hospitalized and die due to Covid, using the strictest definition they can get away with. I'd also look for those PCR cycle counts to get dialed way way down in the coming weeks.

Finally. I hope the airlines are next. I have refused to fly since this started... and I'm a retired airline pilot. I don't even want to go to Hawaii anymore. I used to fly to China, and I visited Laos with friends a few years ago. The USA is feeling very Communist...

Airlines pressurize their cabins to 5000 feet during flight and higher as you burn off fuel and climb. That's a mile above sea level! A friend of mine says the Airbus' are pressurized to 8000. That means you are already down 4% on your O2 levels before the flight attendants force you to mask up! I wrote about hypoxia and health effects from lack of oxygen in my blog post, but Facebook cancelled me. I violated community standards. https://kathymccullough.wordpress.com/

Active airline pilot here. Don't punish yourself by not traveling. Get a Fake Mask and breathe free. Nobody has ever said anything about my Double Incognito.

Also note that, aside from passing through security and while actually on the aircraft, you can pretty much get away with not wearing a mask at all in the airport. Remember that this is a TSA directive, so nobody is going to be patrolling the concourse to tell you to mask up. It's just the petty tyrants at security and on and around the aircraft that you need to worry about. If you're nervous, carry an empty coffee cup and pretend to drink every so often, but you'll quickly learn that you don't need the prop.

You're absolutely right about hypoxia. I measured my O2 saturation at a cabin altitude of 6,000' (while flying at 38,000'). It was all the way down to 92% after 5 minutes wearing an amateur-fitted KN-94 mask. After taking it off, it returned to 98% within a minute. You don't want to be flying around with these masks on, and you sure don't want your pilots doing it. Get a Fake Mask today if you travel by air.

I've actually gone through the security checkpoint guard, the one who checks IDs and boarding passes, I've gone through there maskless at two separate airports, and more than once each, and it wasn't until I got to the conveyor that some TSA Karen has told me to mask up.

At Logan last month (not one of the airports I mentioned above), once I was through security, I took off my mask and kept it off for the next 2+ hours (my flight was delayed). At one point I walked past - as in, the opposite direction, so we could see each others' faces - I walked past roughly a dozen TSA agents, city cops, and state police over the course of roughly 5 minutes. I made a point of making eye contact or at least having my head up, my face facing theirs, and not a one of them said so much as Boo to me. That's LOGAN, in deep-blue, deep-insane Boston and Massachusetts.

I've done the same at BWI, SJU, and ORF - maskless once through security, with nary a problem. On Wednesday I'll be flying SJU, BWI, and ORF and then Saturday it's ORF, BWI, MHT. I'll do the same there as well. Not sure how much luck I'll have at SJU, but the others I expect to ignore me, as usual.

So yeah, folks need to STOP wearing masks in airports. MAKE them tell you to. Don't acquiesce upfront. That's all IMO, of course.

I saw the fake-mask website, but the masks are plain black. I will *only* wear a mask that has a message on it. For the first year it was "MY GOVERNOR IS AN IDIOT" and I got lots of positive comments from folks in their seats as I'd make my way down the airplane aisle, as well as occasional positives from folks passing by in the airport and from airline gate personnel, including some who wanted selfies with me.

For the second year it's been "THIS IS DUMB" and ditto on the comments on the planes, but less in airports because most of the time I don't wear it in airports.

One thing about my Logan experience last month - I need to clarify that my walking past a dozen LEOs happened around 10:30pm on a Saturday night. The terminal I was in was virtually empty (it was the Intl terminal and at that hour there were no more departing flights), so when we passed, there was no one else around. It's not like I was lost in a crowd. It was only me walking THIS way, and they walking THAT way. No way on earth they didn't see me. We passed within 6-8 feet of each other. And none of them said a word.

Cabin pressure adjusted to 7,000 feet AGL, in most Commercial airlines, actually reduce available oxygen by A LOT!. Very early in the "pandemic" I had a 3-hour deadhead right smack in the middle of a large group of young Marines. This was before mask mandates, so none of us was wearing one. Ditto, I can recall some coughers next to me, didn't end up sick.

Then again, it's my unlearned opinion that I picked up a stomach bug on a flight from SJU to BOS in December 2019, and two nights later - Christmas night - I spent 10 hours perched over the porcelain.

Still, I'd rather risk that than be forced to put a useless, worthless, pointless piece of cloth across my face for 4+ hours.

When I fly it's often between sundown and sunup (up and down the east coast, to/from the Caribbean). So I sleep. I pull my baseball cap down over my eyes, it shields my face from view, and the mask ends up below my chin. Not that I find that acceptable, but until the tyranny ends (or the tyrants are ended), it's a tolerable price to pay to be able to see my kids and grandkids. The most recent was from a Houston, Texas wife who lost her husband in a Methodist associated hospital. Awful. Masks can be eliminated and brought right back.
