No idea why but every time I see a video of the truckers beeping their horns to cheering fellow Canadians, I start to tear up. Reminds me of when we were kids we would pull down on our imaginary horns when truckers went by and they would always beep back to our immense delight. #holdtheline
Me too. It's something about the truckers, who usually quietly go about their job, getting it all done, no matter what, in all types of weather and we all, of course, depend on them for absolutely everything. And they've had enough. And they've quietly and without drama or violence or lawbreaking have decided to get together (a usually very independent bunch!) and sit in front of Trudeau's house and wait. I hope they wait along time and don't give up. I will gladly donate to enable them to sit in Ottawa as long as it takes.
Consider giving through Christian conservative crowdfunding site GiveSendGo & Warroom Canada https://givesendgo.com/Warroomcanadanet instead of lefty-run GoFundMe, which often cancels & censors righteous campaigns.
Donors through GoFundMe are paying GoFundMe hundreds of thousands of dollars that should've gone to the truckers.
Yep. They have little choice but to do say good things about GoFundMe, since GoFundMe could lock up & refund the donations at any time, as they already did once & have done to many other campaigns.
I saw a great meme yesterday - a powerful rig passing through high waters…parting the Red Sea imagery! I pray that God uses the truckers to bring about the miracle of defeating our tyrannical governments!
Me too, my late father in law was a trucker and I KNOW if he were still living, he would be up there in that convoy in support of these guys (and gals). He was a freedom loving patriot who took no crap from anyone. Know he is up in heaven smiling down on this.
Me too! It's so moving and uplifting to see everyone coming together - esp. against the backdrop of snow drifts and -30 temps. I could watch this footage all day. Can't wait to see what happens when they all arrive today in Ottawa. Go Canada!
Thank you from Canada! I was on an overpass in -10 degrees for 2.5 hours cheering them on (that contingent of the convoy took 45 min or so to pass but we were getting lots of honking and waving in support long before they showed up). We are so proud of and thankful for our truckers. Please pray it will remain peaceful and succeed in lifting all illegal mandates. We are suffering under totalitarianism here in Canada.
Amazed by what these truckers are doing. Horrified by your government. Praying for peace and safety and elimination of these insane mandates. Was just texting with my friend in Quebec. She said their laws are worse than France. https://www.quebec-cite.com/en/about/coronavirus
With every fiber of my being I hope America stands up, finally, and support the truckers on their way to DC. I only wish we lived on the route they would take cuz we would be there too! I hope we see massive amounts of people along the highways in America. It’s time to stop talking and stand up.
I am praying for Canada and the world. This protest is so powerful my heart goes out to every trucker, every supporter and every person being affected by this pandemic insanity.
I’m praying for Canada to be set Free !!! Thanking God for the Brave Truckers and all those supporting this movement. We all know this whole thing is a trial to see How Much they can get away with!! I know Jeff calls the narrative 2.0 and we will need to be prepared and ready for the next narrative they are already planning. The point is - We will NOT STAND FOR TYRANNY!!!! The newest polls showed I think 49% Republicans and the demtards dropped to 42% it was HUGE - and a big victory coming this next election!!!
It would be somewhat of a story if it were happening in July. That it's happening in January - in CANADA - makes it even more astounding. This is not a movement of fair weather friends.
This is real. And sh*t's about to get real, I hope.
Yeah I am in MO and people scream child abuse if they have school when temps hit zero, as they think their kids are going to freeze to death at the bus stop. Yet seeing hordes of people, whole families, standing out there in subzero temps cheering them on in every town is so inspiring. Glad to see the good people of Canada standing up!!
I grew up in Syracuse and Rochester; places that get more snow than Buffalo, but Buffalo usually gets it first, so they get all the press.
The stories I could tell...snowdrifts up to the power lines, putting flags on our car antennas (yep, that's how old I am) so that at intersections, other cars knew we were there 'cuz the snowbanks were so high you couldn't see the car itself, ad infinitum. Stories I'm sure you could tell as well, being in Missouri.
Nah, Missouri's winters are schizophrenic. 50 degrees today, 2 days ago the high was 9. Can get rain one day, snow the next, and then ice a few days later. Average annual snow is only ~20 inches, but could be 5 inches one winter and 35 the next. No one knows how to drive in it either, lol. Keeps the body shops in business.
It varies, a lot from year to year, actually 20" is KC region where I live, my inlaws in Northern MO get more, but relatives in Springfield, southern MO, get less, and a lot more ice. But plenty of cold temps, had 2 weeks last year where it never got over 20 degrees. Big dumps are rare, usually 1-3 inches at a time. 8-12" shuts everything down for a day or 2.
Go truckers! I hope they win. Also, I have to chuckle at Musk supporting this. Here in California most people are triple jabbed, wearing n95s even when alone out for a walk, and half the cars on the road are Teslas. I wonder how they navigate between virtue signaling about saving the environment while buying their cars from an evil anti-mask, anti-mandate guy.
Or even better do they realize that power they plug into comes from fossil fuels. The batteries made for Tesla material needs to be mined out of the earth destroying that which they are testing to protect? Big huge gaping mines that hold large machinery powered by you guessed it fossil fuels. Then the batiereis have a limited life and need to be replaced. Electric cars I don’t think are the answer.
YES!!! All these “electric” cars are actually “coal” cars. I guess a few people realize that and thus their push for solar and wind. And of course we saw how well that worked out when the weather doesn’t cooperate during last year’s Texas disaster.
See my comment above to Diana and Shellenberger's book. Renewables are not energy dense enough to provide the demand our high-energy usage society needs. Wind turbines are deadly to birds and bats and they fill me with horror each time a I see one. Solar panels have a limited lifespan of about 20 years and then they end up in a landfill with the turbine blades. I could not be more against "renewable" energy and more pro-nuclear.
I wonder how long it will take to deplete the rare earth minerals required for electric vehicles?
"But there is growing concern over another key raw material for the electric car -- rare earth minerals. There's a reason they call these minerals "rare" -- they are! But they're also necessary. Neodymium is a vital component of EV motor magnets."
Afghanistan is rich in rare earth. Biden was ordered to pull out of Afghanistan immediately... leaving personnel and assets stranded so Chinese could begin mining these assets.
Rare earths themselves aren’t that rare. Large enough deposits to make mining profitable are and China owns or holds controlling interest in most of those.
Recycling would help mitigate some of this.
So would investing in the companies doing the mining and actually responding to the notifications asking for shareholder input. It gets harder to ignore smaller investors when several million of them are making their voices heard.
You're correct, electric cars are not the answer - nuclear energy is. Michael Shellenberger explains why in Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All. There are over 100 pages of citations so it's very well researched and fun to read. He also has a Substack - his name. His newest book is "San Fransicko" and is about how progressives destroy cities with the lack of drug enforcement and refusal to address the mental health and homelessness connection.
We own a Model 3 and are very aware our power comes from coal, that's why it's important to switch to the new generation nuclear technology. The cognitive dissonance among "environmentalists" is glaring. No fossil fuels but anti-nuclear. BTW, the batteries will last longer than the vehicle itself. I doubt the vehicle integrity will be intact at 300k miles!
No, people don't know where their electricity comes from. --- Did you see the article where some guy blew up his Tesla to protest the $22,000 price of a whole new battery pack? I bet Elon was crushed. 😂
Omg. No I didn’t see it. I saw a documentary put out by Michael Moore Uber liberal where he showed alternate fuel sources are not the answer. The answer is to try to consume only what is necessary. One state is burning trees for alternate fuel source. 🙄these liberal agendas don’t make sense.
Moore documentary. It’s very liberal oriented at first but hang on Bc the inconsistencies are reported very clearly almost makes you believe MM has turned to the right.
That's funny coming from Moore. Aint' he the guy who notoriously owns eight or nine huge mansions, all powered up even when he ain't there? Huge places that use lots of that there eee leck TRISS uh tea.
Really didn’t know about this? Is this in China where he has that factory? Company has assured China a certain amount of taxable income every year. If not produced then China gets factory. Companies use accounting adjustment called transfer pricing to shift income to one country or another. Hopefully his transfer pricing study shifting income to China is rock solid if not other countries can challenge and he could be assessed taxed in other countries not part of China agreement. People don’t read financial statements.
Yes, hard to navigate that scenario, especially when the evil, anti-mask, anti-mandate guy has moved his empire to evil Texas. I have a hard time finding a peg that Musk fits into. Not sure there is one.
And Elon votes with his feet. Several large expansions into Texas, and also Florida is getting a giant new SpaceX starbase facility next to the existing Falcon9 stuff.
Elon's expanding only outside California. Texas has the new factory for the giga Truck, and the new Raptor 2.0 rocket engine plant, and of course Boca Chica, TX starbase facility.
It's amazing to see, I can't explain it, but it's just the greatest thing ever. I wish I could get to Ottawa to see it, but, alas, I'm not allowed to go to Canada, at the moment. Little Baby Justin hiding in his house has got to be the worst look for a "world leader" of all time. I remember the utter contempt that Trump had for Trudeau, calling him weak and two-faced. He was absolutely right. Truck Fudeau is the hashtag. Lol
I hated trump but now am turning around LOL. Looking back, there are a lot of blunt remarks he made that turned out to be absolutely true. And some of the crazy things he did afterwards make perfect sense. All the time he was in office I held my heart, fearing he might start a war, and now this awful Brandon, er, Biden, has his hand on the button...
The one thing Trump wasn’t going to do was start a war. He was just speaking loudly AND carrying a big stick to get the attention of the evil doers in the world. I feel much less safe with Brandon’s handlers in charge.
Same here. I knew he would not make a good president, but did not see trump for another 4 years either, and a write in is only that. Now I wonder if it would have been better to let trump do another term. If shaky Joe 's hand wiggles, there goes the bomb !
Yep, Biden isn't even the one in charge, here, so what's going on? I suspect it's Obama. I'll admit to being a "Bernie Bro," back in 2016 when I was just a "naive" 45-year-old, lol. I absolutely am no fan of Hillary, and was actually happy that she lost. It was great. And Trump was as surprised as anyone that he won. And in the end, the "Trump years" were pretty ok -- until CoronaDoom started.
yeah -- I see the markers all over the place, especially the reliance on illegal executive orders that "eventually" get shut down, but not without doing damage first.
There were already rumours about his sexual misbehaviors before he ran. There were several business problems that needed to be looked at (IRS fraud, racism etc) that should have been checked out. It is obvious that he never read the constitution. A presidential candidate gets checked less than a potential new citizen. I am one LOL
The sexual misbehaviors are probably on both sides, but seems much worse on the Clinton/Biden side. Not sure about any IRS fraud, and there was only one story of racism that seemed suspect. Biden’s past racial remarks are definitely worse. Trump tends to gain the respect of the working class, white or black, because he interacts with them and treats them like human beings.
I'm skeptical of most of these supposedly sexual misbehaviors. Even with that tape of Trump and his p___ comment, honestly it didn't bother me that much (and yes, I'm female). Maybe it's because I'm a bit older and actually had to deal with continual sexual "harassment" i.e., having to doubly prove myself in a predominantly male field, dealing with sexual innuendoes and comments pretty much on a daily/weekly basis (to be fair, some were compliments, which I'm fine with (no triggering here). The younger women now are a bunch of whiny weaklings that deny biology most of the time except when it suits them to conceal their own inadequacies. [Apology in advance to all the younger women here, but they really need to grow a spine and not be a tool of the elites.]
Totally agree. Men being boys in the locker room doesn’t bother me one bit. Now Biden being accused of rape by a fellow democrat who worked with him, that’s a totally different ballgame
As near as I could tell, the substance of his scandalous remark was that when you're rich, women will let you get away with anything.
50 Shades of Gray said the same thing. I didn't read it, but from what I heard, if it had been set in a trailer park, it would have been a horror story about rape and abuse.
I just saw CDN$9Mn through a Canadian funding outfit. Not counting what has been given here in the US. IF it ever gets to them. That was another US$4.5Mn or so.
Slightly off topic, but Thanks also for the weekly FL covid update which shows the numbers declining. I finally, after a year of living in Fort Myers, tested positive for covid and got what I think was Omicron (Or OMNICROM as Brandon likes to call it). I'm 58 with no co-morbidities. 8 days of high fever and flu symptoms, some congestion, still have loss of smell and altered taste, but thanks to Dr. Anne Littell, I was able to get therapeutics from Myerlee independent pharmacy in less than 24 hours. After setting up a telehealth appointment with their 24/7 nurses, Dr. Littell called me back herself and gave me what I needed to get through this -- IVM, HCQ and Singulair, plus an adult aspirin per day for a week. No urgent care visit, no fear mongering that I'm going to die because I'm not jabbed, no being treated like the great unwashed. Just real, honest healthcare. God bless both Drs John and Anne Littell. By the way, looking at this week's chart, could someone explain what "FL Rt" means? thanks.
Had same symptoms in December over the holidays. Never was tested before and during being sick, but was tested for antibodies last week and they were there and strong!
A good reminder to some to get your meds beforehand to start right away if you get sick. The sooner you start treatment the less you suffer! And it keeps you out of those horrible hospitals!
I learned about the Littells through Jeff Childers Florida Covid Summit he hosted last year in Ocala FL - Dr. John Littell was one of the main speakers and he and his wife, at great personal and professional expense, got the ball rolling with therapeutics and networking with independent pharmacies who will fill the prescriptions. I just googled his office in Ocala and he had a 24 seven emergency number which allows you to have a telemedicine visit for $125. In order for them to help you, you need to seek out in advance of your telemedicine visit a local independent pharmacy to which they can send a prescription. I am not sure what people do in other states than Florida, for example we fled Chicago a year ago and there are no pharmacies that are willing to fill a therapeutic prescription for ivermectin hydroxychloroquine or even something off label like Singulair or fluvoxamine. There are now more organizations and doctors who will help you, I’m sure others can give you the names as well. I have to thank a good friend of mine who lives in DC, she works in the congressional offices and is one of the few people left who Has not been forced to be vaccinated. When she heard I had landed in Florida, she immediately recommended Jeff’s coffee & Covid - she reads it daily. Jeff Childers I have you to thank for helping me get proper medical care. I cried with relief when I realized that I could get some help — we have a 25 yr old daughter who is a biomedical engineer in New York City and who has not spoken to us in almost 6 months bc we won’t take the jab. I was so tired of being the only person in my family circle who was not vaccinated and the abuse and gaslighting are awful. My family has a ton of neurological illnesses like Parkinson’s and I had decided from the beginning that I wasn’t going to take the jab, my dad had Parkinson’s for 13 years and passed away in 2019 before Covid got worse here in the states (he died of a heart attack). I just recently read that they are expecting a 1000% increase in neurological diseases like Parkinson’s in the post-vaccinated population, so I knew in my gut I was right to refuse the jab. In the meantime I continue to get abuse because I convinced my husband that he should at least wait several years before getting the vaccine if ever, he is a former Navy pilot with 3000 hours and 400 carrier landings, 100 of those at night during the Persian Gulf War. He flies A small experimental fully acrobatic aircraft now, for fun, the RV-8. He earned it and he deserves it. And I said to him if you get this jab and you have an adverse reaction, the FAA will never clear you to fly again, the one thing he was built for and made for by God. He is a self-employed subcontractor for a consulting firm in Chicago, and while they pressured him to get vaccinated, all his work now is from home and he just tells them no he’s not doing it. The other day I was sharing additional statistics about military pilots being injured from the jab and being grounded for life. I knew I was giving him the right advice.
I hope the truckers stay there longer than one day. Trudeau expects to wait them out. Sit and do nothing. Ghandi it. There is massive power in doing nothing. Don't do what we did on Jan 6 and walk away after one day.
Canadian Truckers Convoy has been the bright spot in the news. And Jeff's post about it lifted my spirits even more. Spot on about JT going into hiding. I heard Bret Weinstein call JT "a duplicitous Ken doll."
Bear in mind that we spend a fair bit of time with the thermometer hovering close to 0 F up here. People think we're passed out drunk in front of the covid testing sites but it's actually the diving reflex kicking in. We are all wandering about in a profoundly parasympathetic state due to hypothermia.
Seriously though, you're right. The Canadian bear tends to be a bit too sleepy and apolitical. Until you poke it once too often. Turdeau seems to have that ability to do that. He has awakened a deep loathing in many Canadians, me included. He's a spoiled, incompetent, untutored bully who, in all liklihood, stands to profit personally by making sure that anything that moves, including the beavers, has been inoculated with Pfizer's experimental concoction. Once he's finished with the beavers, he's going to start on the maple trees.
All that aside, I'm proud of Canada for the first time in two years. I never saw this coming but I'm sure as hell glad that it did.
Justin is too much like his daddy Pierre. Or was Piere his uncle or something? Same sich and disgusting thinking. Or lack thereof.
I lived in Canada during Pierre's reign. He's the eedjit forced "french" workding on all packaging, even in non0froggish British Columbia where I was. Not to mentioin Alberta, Sasketchewan, Manitoba (where more speak russian than froggish.). Ohter far more harmful nonsense, too. I was glad to escape back to the "god ol" (by comparison) You ess of a.
The POWER of heavy equipment, trucks, farm equipment etc, are the mightiest force available to citizens to stand up to the government! No wonder it stirs our hearts! And I’ve read that farmers in Canada have joined forces with the truckers. The size and might of this force is immense in numbers as well! I-40, one of the major east/west transport systems, passes through the heart of our Texas town. Yesterday at lunch we sat within view of it, and counted 20 trucks in 1 minute. Extrapolate that to 1,200 per hour, then 9,600 per 8 hour work day! Almost 10,000 trucks per day passing through to deliver goods throughout the country. Yes, truckers can wield an enormous amount of POWER when they join forces. And we all cheer them on! They represent our Gandalf, screaming at the behemoth government - YOU SHALL NOT PASS! You shall not pass mandates and restrictions on the lives of Free people!
Thanks so much for your comment - the Canadian Truckers Convoy is truly igniting an awakening, that for sure - now we just need a shift in government. Cheers
Far more of Canada's trucks are independently owned, then contracted out to companies, than here in the US. If these were all company owned rigs, few would be moving. But if its MY truck I will put it where I WANT to put it.
SImilar situation used to be in Mexico when I was growing up in So Cal (since having escaped) In Mexico ALL the trucks and busses were privately/indepentenlh owned. Most were driven on contract, but the owner/driver OWNED their equipment. I well remember whenever the price of diesel in Mexico hit the outrageous sum of two bits the gallon, they all just parked their rigs, wherever they were. I think the longest holdout time was three days. The price ALWAYS dropped, and when it got down to twenty cents the gallon, the owners somehow magically found their truck keys again. And life returned to normal until the price went up again. Kept things on an even keel.
Jeff, thank you for this encouraging and very well written post about a news story we’ve heard little about. We are camped in the frosty state of Florida and not hearing much about what’s happening in the “real” world. We have, however kept up with your Coffee and Covid blog during our stay. I read it aloud every day. After all, we are vacationing here because of your insistence that Florida is the best place to be right now. We both laughed out loud at your reference to the chant, “Let’s Go Brandon!” You bring us hope.

Wait: is an American convoy definitely happening?
Not sure. There is talk of it for sure.
NYFreedom Rally was saying the idea is to let Canada have its moment and then it will be time for us. I wish I knew some truckers personally.
We won't know about it because they will really try to block us from seeing it. They are trying so hard to cover up the Canadian one.
Thank you! Solidarity!

Omg. No I didn’t see it. I saw a documentary put out by Michael Moore Uber liberal where he showed alternate fuel sources are not the answer. The answer is to try to consume only what is necessary. One state is burning trees for alternate fuel source. 🙄these liberal agendas don’t make sense.
Brilliant! Let's burn all the trees! It's not like they work against global warming, uptake CO2, and create oxygen, or anything! 🤦♀️

Like most far lefties, he's a hypocrite. Surprise! 🙄
It’s rules for thee not for me. Wouldn’t doubt it.
Not to mention the labor atrocities, i.e., children, forced labor, etc.
At least he thinks for himself and isn’t consumed by right or left. I’m with you on this but respect him. Crazy as he is.
No mandates at all at his companies.
Not all of California, but all of the big cities have gone insane. I can't believe what has happened.
BTW, only 56% of us are from Calif, seems we are collecting everyone else's nuts.
🤣 true. Fellow Californian.
TRUTH!
The lesser evil was Trump but the media didn’t want us to consider that.
And in the end, the "Trump years" were pretty ok -- until CoronaDoom started.
this is Obama's third term.
yeah -- I see the markers all over the place, especially the reliance on illegal executive orders that "eventually" get shut down, but not without doing damage first.
I think even Bernie could have done a better job than Biden.
bernie at least has his own mind...for better or worse!
Why did you "hate" him, if I may ask?
With that said, DeSantis would be my pick, but I’d vote for either. I’m voting freedom
Same.
Have you seen the fundraiser lately? It’s over 7.8 million CAD. 😍 God bless the truckers and God bless Canada!
By the way, looking at this week's chart, could someone explain what "FL Rt" means? thanks.
Hey....loss of smell....great! Now's the time to go to DC.
Happy recovery from OmniCron!
Thank you for this. Do you have a website link for the doctors?
Epoch Times ran an article this past week on one telemedicine site funded by Ben Marble, MD who was at the Defeat the March on 1/23. https://m.theepochtimes.com/doctors-organization-has-treated-over-150000-covid-19-patients-with-99-99-percent-survival_4236896.html?utm_source=Morningbrief&utm_campaign=mb-2022-01-27&utm_medium=email&est=Q6F2PS4sefk6JSf4KGm3%2B%2BfABH8xprwBqJJzBnq9M8vhE3W7hQ5NzWmi%2Flg%3D
What would Castro do ?
Go, Canada! Awesome write-up of the media propaganda. They will never recover from this.
Meanwhile, here is what the US truckers are planning: Convoy to DC 2022!

Imagine if just 10% of our nation's physicians had been as smart and brave as our truckers when this pandemic began.
AOC sheltering in place in her panic room....lol
Who is this “AOC”
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (spell?)
a US sorry excuse of a pawl a TISH un who is not worth the time to learn about. More noise than anything else.
Oh, Canada! Glorious and Free! Oh, Canada, We Stand on Guard for Thee! Hopefully ...
Sing it!
What Canadian Trucker Protest? Just more misinformation coming from the loonies. When Neil Young talks about it then I'll believe it.
Kneel Young
now THERE is the root of the problem You actually believe and TRUST Niel Young. WHO is HE and WHAT does he KNOW? NOthing of value.
It's called.....sarcasm.
sorry, I missed the Sarc font this time. VERY well done, then
Jeff, thank you for this encouraging and very well written post about a news story we’ve heard little about.
