First, we observe a moment of silence for the victims and heroes of September 11. We will never forget. We will always remember.
And good morning. It’s Day Two of Josef Biden’s Glorious Vaccine Revolution. Yesterday I described WHAT happened. But what does it all MEAN? How is this thing playing out? SO MUCH NEWS. A ton, really. A metric ton.
🗞*COVID NEWS AND COMMENTARY* 🗞
🔥 White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki announced yesterday that Joe Biden will NOT give a live speech for the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. He’s going to release a prerecorded video of his remarks. So.
💉 Well, it has come to this. RIGHT AFTER Joe Biden issued his extraordinary and unprecedented federal vaccine mandate here in the U.S., Israel’s Prime Minister announced that vaxx people are the “most vulnerable” group to Covid-19 infection:
“A very important point that the public must understand — and I think that most of the people are not aware of it yet — is that the most vulnerable population at the moment, in a paradoxical manner, are the ones who received two vaccine doses but not the third dose. Why? Because they walk around feeling like they are protected because they received both doses. They do not understand that the second vaccine has faded[.]”
What a liar! That can’t possibly be right! America’s Top Covid Doc said in May that mRNA Covid-19 vaccines protect people better against new viral variants than even natural immunity. Since we know that natural immunity lasts years, maybe lifetimes, Israel’s prime minister has to be a big, fat liar. Shame on him. Business insider quoted Fauci on May 5:
“Vaccines, actually, at least with regard to SARS-CoV-2, can do better than nature,” Fauci, America’s leading infectious disease expert, said.
Good thing we have the smart experts here in the U.S., right?
🪳 This Thursday, CNN’s chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta asked Fauci, “I get calls all the time, people say, I’ve already had COVID, I’m protected. And now the study says maybe even more protected than the vaccine alone. Should they also get the vaccine? How do you make the case to them?”
Fauci answered: “You know, that’s a really good point, Sanjay. I don’t have a really firm answer for you on that.”
Wait, what? But I thought … back in May you said … and I JUST called the prime minister of Israel a liar for you! Dummy.
🤥 Yesterday, White House Chief of Staff Ronald Klain retweeted MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle, who’d posted: “OSHA doing this vaxx mandate as an emergency workplace safety rule is the ultimate work-around for the Federal govt to require vaccinations.”
The ultimate work around. Work around what? She was talking about the U.S. Constitution, that’s what. It’s a work around. You have to work around it. Okay, so why is it an “ultimate” work around? It must be that, if this works, you can “work around” everything else in the Constitution. You’ll never need another work around, ever again. This would be the ultimate one.
🚓 Resistance to Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate continues to spike, like an out-of-control pandemic. Now, 27 states have come out against the mandate. In other words, more than half. Yesterday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that he’s going to recruit Florida’s lawmakers to “fight back and offer protections” against the illegal and overreaching federal vaccine mandate.
“You can’t just sit there and hope some lawsuit is going to succeed,” DeSantis said. “You have a responsibility to act. And so we WILL be acting in the state of Florida to provide protections for people.” Yes! Finally. He continued, “People should not be cast aside because they make a medical decision for themselves. They should not lose their job. They should not be unable to put food on the table just because they made a different decision than the powers that be are demanding that they make.”
Exactly correct.
He finally asked the question that’s been on all our minds. “If the federal government can get away with doing THIS,” DeSantis asked, “what’s going to come next?”
I don’t even want to try to imagine what’s coming next. Best just to let it happen and not worry about it. DeSantis continued:
“That oath that I took, that many of you took when you served in the military, when you get elected to an office like Governor, you take the same oath to support the laws and the Constitution of both the state of Florida and the United States,” DeSantis said, adding that “sometimes you’re called upon to fight for it.”
Yes! Fight!
“I think now is the time that we’re going to do that. When you have a President like Biden issuing unconstitutional edicts against the American people, we have a responsibility to stand up for the Constitution and fight back,” DeSantis added.
The Coalition of Free States is beginning to take shape. Stand by.
🚓 Yesterday, a reporter asked Governor DeSantis what he thought of Biden’s veiled threats to remove governors who interfere with the federal mask mandate. Governor DeSantis responded sharply. It’s a little long, but I’m going to transcribe the whole thing for you. It is an important — maybe historic — address:
“Well I would just say generally, when you’re taking action that’s unconstitutional, that threatens the jobs of the people in my state — many, many thousands of jobs — I’m standing for them. We’re going to protect their jobs against federal overreach. And this is a guy who criticizes the State of Florida for protecting parent’s rights. He says school boards should be able to eliminate parent’s rights and force 5-year-old kids to wear masks all day. That’s what he thinks is appropriate government. Yet — here he comes from Washington DC, instituting an unprecedented mandate which even his own people have acknowledged in the past is NOT constitutional. That’s not leadership. I think the problem I have with Joe Biden, more than anything, is this guy doesn’t take responsibility for ANYTHING. He’s always trying to blame other people, blame other states.
“This is a guy that promised when he ran for president that he would SHUT DOWN THE VIRUS. If you look now, there’s 300% more cases in this country today than a year ago, when we had no vaccines at all. So, his policies are not working. He’s doubling down on things that are going to be very destructive for the livelihoods of many Americans. And obviously, they’ll be very destructive to our constitutional system and the rule of law.”
“And so, these are times, when you believe in the Constitution, you’ve got to stand up. Obviously the substantive issues are important. Because, there are places that are going toss aside people who have worked this WHOLE TIME throughout Covid. Now all of a sudden, they should be tossed aside? They were working when nobody had vaccines.”
“You don’t know their history. You don’t know the reason they are making the decisions they are making. Many of these people HAVE recovered and they have immunity. The idea that somehow you have somebody that gets Johnson & Johnson, they can work? But someone who has natural immunity somehow can’t? That natural immunity is strong. So it’s not based on science.”
“And you can say, ‘he’s losing patience with people.’ You know, at the end of the day, we don’t live with one-person rule in this country. We live in a constitutional system, in which people’s rights are respected. Particularly at this juncture, their livelihoods and their jobs have to be protected. Just think about what this mandate would do. It’s going to drive people out of work, out of hospitals, out of all this stuff. You have a need for PEOPLE! It’s totally counterproductive. And I think it’ll ultimately lose in court.
“But before that, there needs to be action taken to protect the people of our State, and hopefully of the entire United States. Nobody should lose their jobs because of this decision.”
Line. Drawn.
🔥 And it looks like Governor DeSantis means it. Yesterday, Florida’s Attorney General, Ashley Moody, tweeted:
@JoeBiden does not have the legal authority to force vaccines on millions of Americans. His proposal is outrageous and unlawful. I will be closely watching these developments and taking any and all action within the authority of my office to stop this unprecedented power grab.
She means that she has to wait until OSHA publishes its new rule. Weird, isn’t it, how they didn’t have the rule ready for Biden’s big speech? Almost like they just came up with the idea on the spur of the moment. Like, to change the subject from the pathetic decisions on full display in Afghanistan. My fifth-grader could figure out that the order of removing people from the war-torn country should have been: Citizens first! THEN military. How hard is that?
Apparently too hard for the former vice-president.
💉 Even liberal partisan Jake Tapper seems to be troubled by Biden’s overreaching mandate. Tapper appeared on Fox News yesterday, and criticized the Administration’s tone and approach:
“There’s the question of coercion, and there’s the question of persuasion. You see [Biden] moving from persuasion to coercion. He took on a scolding tone. Talking to the people who were unvaccinated. Talking about how people’s patience is running out. Talking about this mandate. I don’t know as a matter of politics — unless, of course, the goal was to get all these Republican governors and politicians and governors to come out against this. I don’t know that wasn’t predictable.”
“It’s part of the ethos in this country. People don’t want big government telling them what to do. … Now, the anti-science component of our society is bigger. ... I haven’t yet really seen the Biden Administration talk or try to address this. I don’t think scolding is the approach.”
“He’s scolding the people who are being lied to, as opposed to the liars. …Instead of shaming the liars, and trying to educate the people being lied to, he’s scolding the people being lied to.”
We can fairly argue about whether people are avoiding the vaccines because they believe a lie, but the point is, even Tapper recognizes that the Administration’s song is queerly out of key.
But where, oh where, could all this mandating be headed?
🔥 The president of Nigeria made a major mandate announcement of his own yesterday. He said:
“So from the second week of September, people will NOT be allowed to worship in churches and mosques without showing proof of their vaccination cards at the gates. … We have made adequate arrangements with security to prevent anybody who does not have a vaccination card to access these events. Also, you will not be allowed to access banking services in the state from the middle of September if you have not been vaccinated.”
Well, alrighty then. For my non-religious C&C friends, this is the kind of stuff that convinces Christians we’re living in the end times. Revelations 13:15-17 says:
And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.
Speculate away. What if the name and number of the Beast is Covid-19? Or maybe Delta? Or the next variant? Or how about Pfizer? Re-read the scripture above, testing those names and numbers out, and tell me what you think.
You can read too much into these passages, and many have over the years. My only point is that the policy of creating two economies and preventing people from worshipping and using money is going to alarm a whole lot of folks. For sure.
Maybe this madness will stop in Nigeria. It can’t possibly happen here. Right?
💉 Oopsies. University of Georgia football coach Kirby Smart is dealing with a Covid spike among players and personnel — on a team that is more than 90% vaccinated, ESPN reported yesterday. Ninety percent vaccinated! Having an OUTBREAK! Well, THAT’S not supposed to happen.
ESPN says the coach is “concerned,” because ALL of the Covid-19 cases are among people who are fully vaccinated. All of them. ALL. Yeah, I get it, on a team where nearly all the players are vaxxed, you’d expect the breakthrough cases to mostly be in vaxx people. But you don’t expect a record-setting OUTBREAK! “We’re at our highest spike,” the coach said. And, you also don’t expect that the unvaxx people are all avoiding the outbreak, somehow.
“This is the highest we’ve been since fall camp right now,” the coach said. “I think there’s this relief that you guys feel like everything’s back to normal, well, it’s really just not for us right now.” One of the breakthrough cases was the team’s own MEDICAL DIRECTOR, fully-vaccinated Ron Courson. And it wasn’t a mild case. “Ron’s doing good, [but] he’s had a tough run,” coach Smart said.
So. Darn. Weird. It’s almost like the vaccines don’t … oh never mind.
💉 ESPN reporter Allison Williams said she is resigning, at least for the college football season, because she decided to not get the jab, which is now mandatory for ESPN employees. Williams said she decided not to get the vaccine because she and her husband are trying to conceive a second child. “This was a deeply difficult decision to make and it’s not something I take lightly,” Williams said. “I understand vaccines have been essential in the effort to end this pandemic; however, taking the vaccine at this time is not in my best interest.”
💉My Twitter feed has a “news” section on the right-hand margin. It’s where Twitter puts stuff that it thinks I should read. It has its own headlines, trending news topics that Twitter collects together. For me, the top entry is always a pro-vaccine roundup. But today, I was very interested to see how the language has evolved. The top Twitter trending topics suggestion said, in large bold letters, “Scientists and public health experts say that vaccines are safe for most people.”
Most people. MOST.
Honestly, I was shocked. We sure have come a long way in a short time from “scientists say the vaccines are safe and effective.” Twitter dropped “effective” altogether, and is now even qualifying “safe.” It’s kind of unreal, to tell you the truth. Like, what the heck is going on?
😷 The Atlantic published an article yesterday headlined, “The Downsides of Masking Young Students Are Real.” The subhead reads, “The educational cost of face coverings is far better established than the benefits of mandates.” This is the real issue. The known cost of mandatory masking for many kids completely outweighs any known benefit from mitigating Covid-19 in schools.
😷 Florida media widely reported yesterday that the state’s mandatory mask opt-out is back in effect for parents of school kids, after the First District Court of Appeals overruled Judge Cooper’s order that, according to media, blocked the opt-out provision.
😷 The Department of Education announced that it has launched a civil-rights investigation into Florida’s mask-mandate ban, which went back into effect Friday after the First District Court of Appeals in Florida terminated Judge Cooper’s stay. The Miami Herald reported that the DOE plans to investigate whether the Florida Department of Education is denying the rights of students with disabilities by allowing parents to opt-out of mandatory mask policies. Okay.
🔥 Another politically connected group got an exemption from vaccine mandates. A union arbitrator ruled Thursday that New York City must grant accommodations to teacher’s union staff who have medical conditions or religious beliefs that preclude them from getting the vaxx. So, like the USPS, another well-connected democrat constituency has now received an exemption from the vaccines. So. Totally fair.
👨⚖️ For all our C&C family who live outside of Florida, here’s a list somebody put together of lawyers who are taking vaccine cases. I have not vetted these lawyers. Honestly, apart from the national groups, I don’t know anything about them. But, it’s a place to start: [Fight The Mandates](https://fightthemandates.godaddysites.com)
📊 *COVID IN FLORIDA* 📊
Over the last 9 days, new pediatric admissions in Florida have fallen from a seven-day average of 69 to 48. In other words, they’ve fallen by a THIRD. In nine days.
You might note also that over 50 of the 67 school districts in Florida do not have ANY sort of mandatory masking in effect. Not even with an opt-out. Just no mask mandates. So.
Whew. That’s enough for today. Sorry about the length, but there was a lot to cover. I’ll be out tomorrow — probably — so I’ll see you back here on Monday morning to kick off the week in the C&C way.
Join the C&C Army!

Do you have a source or a list that can help us keep track?
I'm writing from Tennessee, and as a pastor, I appreciate the detail that you put into research and helping us think through the glut of information that we're subjected to.
As always amazing!
Wanted to share this compilation of data from the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Reaction Effects Reporting System). Very interesting and scary. Data is compiled from own CDC numbers up to August 27th, 2021
