UPDATE: I had posted in yesterday's link about needing help with my religious exemption application. I was approved late yesterday, so they accepted what I had written. Thanks to those who replied to my message. One less thing to worry about...for now. This is far from being over, I'm sure.

I might need to submit a Religious exemption for myself! Could you help me? Kathleen

10 cases per 100K to get to"blue?" wow -- so in Vermont, that would be 30 cases in the whole state, for a week? they never want this circus to end....

Expand full comment

With our population of 600K+, it would be more like 60, which is still absurd! Waiting to see how many towns roll out local mask mandates ~ 🤦‍♀️. I'm jealous that you can think about relocating to FL...

Oh, yeah -- lol. That's why I'm not an engineer! To live in Florida I'd basically have to be live in my car the way home prices have gone up...So far in Vermont I've read that Burlington, Warren, Elaborate and Rutland Town have reinstated mask mandates. Even though the Gov said "Masks mandates don't wok."

Expand full comment

Not only mask mandates don't work, mask themselves don't work! ('course that could be WHY mask mandates don't work...)

We live in PR but have a rental apt in Miami (52nd floor!)...so we're relatively lucky to have an escape hatch if/when the time comes.

Lucky you! Do you live in the “Miami Vice” building (the one with the hole in it?) I’m sure the Gov and many other people know that masks don’t work. They’re just scared to say so. We need George Carlin back.

Expand full comment

At least we have plenty of Carlin videos to remind us of how prescient he was.

Expand full comment

Y'know, I didn't watch Miami Vice so I'm not sure which building that refers to...but there IS kind of a "hole" in our building, I think, with a colorful mural or whatever on the support columns.

Jeff, please comment on HR550. 80 Republicans in the House voted for "supporting real-time immunization record data exchange and reporting, to support rapid identification of immunization coverage gaps."

Love the visual!!🪳says it all. You could of left his name off and we still would have known who it was. Lol

Jeff, do you have any reassuring words about the bill that just passed the House - with plenty of Republican support- for creating a government database of vaccination status of Americans? It's pretty disturbing.

Oh this is not good. We have to have a campaign to ensure the Senate votes this down

Beware! Have a gander:

https://health.maryland.gov/phpa/OIDEOR/IMMUN/Pages/immunet.aspx

Maryland is not the only state participating in ImmuNet. I specifically requested IN. WRITING. that my shingles and flu shots NOT be reported anywhere - but Sam's Club Pharmacy reported to this place anyway.

My internist said ImmuNet showed me having a diphtheria shot in 2009 - I didn't - but am having a tussle with the site getting it removed.

Pretty soon states will have to have Zero COVID to go blue. In other words, it will impossible to do.

Raytheon is still forcing the jab, went from Jan 1st to Dec 8th and now back to Jan 18th.

Then theres masks. First everyone mask, then 70% vaxed can remove the mask … finally 70% was met and vaxed can remove the mask. 2 weeks late back to everyone. Next was going to be based on CT’s case numbers, 2 weeks ago .. again vaxed can remove mask. Today masks again for everybody because of CT’s high case numbers .. fyi CT is one of the highest jabbed states .. yet case numbers are high … so

Sometimes I believe Fauci is ceo of our company… smh.

Shit is beyond ridiculous and i see no end in site. Even after jan 18 when we are 100% jabbed, will still be masked. Oh lets not forget the self temp scanners that we have to walk through to gain access to the building.

Ps FK CT

Crazy. It seems the only way the restrictions will ever end is if workers organize a walkout.

The CDC must not be allowed to quietly keep changing the rules on us. Each of us needs to go to the CDC page on Twitter and send them a public comment that they need to stop moving the goalposts. Let’s make it public that they are doing this.

Let’s use the power of C&C to publicly call them out. Knowledge is power. Thanks Jeff for making the truth known.

My daughter, 19, a nursing student at U Del currently religious exempt is being forced to comply w/vax mandate to be approved for clinicals, despite poss relaxation of vax mandates for healthcare employed. Her choices 1) vax immed’ly 2) change major/loss of scholarship 3) transfer/expulsion (She is immune/recovered; tested pos in school mandatory testing last March.) Would much appreciate suggestions, the stress on these kids is inhuman.

Expand full comment

At the worst, she should transfer in my opinion. It is not worth destroying her health. My 23 yo daughter, in a somewhat similar circumstance, chose to get the shots. It killed me. Hoping it is true that there are different strengths of vials including saline, I prayed both times that those would be her jabs. She had no effect from either jab whatsoever. No fever, no aches, no fatigue. Perhaps God answered with a yes. I do worry she will have the long term consequences that are still unknown. I have found myself loving her more each time I talk or see her though, knowing every precious time could be the last of "normal."

Jeff, I'm so thankful for all you are doing for our liberty. Yesterday's C&C mentioned doing something for the federal employee mandate. Can something be done? My husband is a DOT/FAA employee and he is an air traffic controller. Unfortunately those who are against getting the jab in the FAA are very much in the minority. He can't just "go get another job" with what he does. I'm sure we aren't the only ones in this boat. So I'm wondering if there is hope to protect federal employees since right now they're pretty much at the mercy of the feds to grant religious exemptions, and I'm sure even if those are granted it will come with a slew of "precautions" to make life as miserable as possible.

Ellen, I'm a 42-year+ DoD civilian. There are over 600 of us at my agency (of 25,000+) who've requested medical/religious exemptions. The deadline was 1 Dec and they told us it could take 45 days to "adjudicate" the requests.

*If* they're approved, we will have to:

- wear masks 100% of the time (except eating/drinking) - to include outside (!);

- stay 6-ft away from everyone else all the time; and

- get at least weekly testing (but none of the shot up peeps have to!).

Yesterday my agency advertised internally for 3-4 lower grade volunteers to keep track of distributing test kits and maintaining The List of the Infidels to check that they do submit test results. We were told only the Med Unit and our immediate supervisors would have access to our Personal Medical Information (PMI) but it sounds like these junior volunteers will also. How is that legal??? This is all out of control and no one seems willing or able to stop it.

In addition, all contractors have to carry around a copy of DD3150 or a "negative test result" in order to enter a different building and anyone can stop them and ask to see either/both.

I'm hoping every day this unconstitutional mandate will disappear. Feeling for your husband! He's not alone, there are hundreds of thousands of us out there. Keep the faith!

By segregating the unvaxed in such a distinguishable way would expose private health information to other co-workers. A blatant HIPPA violation.

Expand full comment

Oh, wow -- that' nuts. I'm with DHS -- we've heard nothing at all about our accommodation requests. "Waiting for Guidance" is all we heard. Looks like about 10% aren't vaxxed. That's about 20,000 people! Many of us are full time telework, so it's completely irrelevant anyway. There is an AFGE lawsuit going on involving the Bureau of Prisons....
