Here in Ontario, Canada they have adopted the passport system, us unV are not allowed in restaurants, bars, gyms, theatres etc. We can't travel by plane or train. We are literally prisoners in this country. Yesterday, Quebec announced that health care workers that test positive for Covid can continue to work because they don't want to cripple their health care capacity (so much for following the CDC and dropping quarantine to 5 days). But myself who worked in a retirement home and tested every single shift since August am considered a threat (and fired with cause), I also can't visit my mother in a nursing home (where I tested every single visit for over a year) because also a threat, but the 2x and 3x jabbed staff now has to test every other day. The narrative is crumbling, but not fast enough.
Stuck here in Ontario with you. I'm so sorry about losing your job and not being able to visit your mother, that's simply evil. We must pray and work for an end to this madness.

Leaving aside the consideration that not a single whole virus of Sars or variants have ever been isolated from a sick person and replicated, I want to mention how the Omicron became a variant. To "detect covid", the PCR test picks up matching sequences, three in particular, and amplifies them. These same sequences (parts of a whole) can be detected in about 60 other conditions including pregnancy. The first Omicron "case" was determined by running the PCR test and only finding two matching sequences. So it was deemed a "variant" instead of a fail.
If the parameters of, for example, high blood pressure were reduced/lowered by a third, think of how many more people would have "high blood pressure".
Next variant likely will have only one of the original 3 sequences. And the one following that? Maybe they’ll offer drive through testing in the future where they just toss a coin: heads you got it, tails you’re free to go. Quarantine period will by that point be the same for everyone, like maybe 15 minutes.

You are extremely blessed in the US to have the constitutional system you do. Here in Canada we have a travel ban for unvaccinated, which is also against our Constitution. Yet the Prime Minister just rammed it through, continuing the trend of willfully breaking laws with no checks and balances. There are court challenges but those go very slowly and judges so far have proved unwilling to rule against the government. Praying the shift happening in the US reaches us here soon.

I work cardiac and ortho rehab in states SNFs and in 3 months we have had 2 cases, employees only. They are quarantined for 7 days. One vaxed, one not. Everyone stay safe, strong and standing for yourself and your family.

The test isn't recalled. It's a pivot to multiplex covid+flu pcr test. Some hospitals have been using them since last spring, so it's a requirement for conformity. Bigger questions are what cycle threshold will be used and whether dept of health/cdc will display flu and covid data together.

You can hardly breathe in an N95. I've used them when sanding varnish finishes. Can't imagine wearing that all day. But, Science!
