exactly "disease" not "infection" or "transmission". SO one can still get acute respiratory "syndrome" BUt a syndrome is not necessarily a disease. Im a doc. we have many examples in medicine where people are said to have a syndrome but are not suffering pain, damage or loss of function from the syndrome. SO it is not a disease. People have moles all over their body ; a syndrome. but as long as they are benign its not a disease.
SO these are in fact medical terms but they are also political weasel words by Pfizer.

Yes . The whole point of the vaccines was to reduce severe illness and death. There were no representations that these agents would reduce infection or spread. It was hoped that they would but many people understood that they probably would not do this. The idea was to prevent severe illness and hospitalization and death. Which is a laudable goal. And they do seem to do this for some people for a limited time.
But the idea that everybody has to get one of these things. Or that they have to be mandated Has no basis in logic or evidence or rational thought.
Plus these vaccines seem to have a very unfavorable side effect profile and high chance of adverse events so ultimately only a very small percentage of the population if he needs to get these things
The fact that they are being pushed the way they are it’s just another example of massive government failure.

The initial stuides to determine safety and efficiacy did not look at reducing infection or transmission as an endpoint. THe whole point of the vaxxes was to reduce the severity of the disease. Pfizer to their credit stated this in the initial docs that accompanied the study and the application for the EUA. It was hoped by many that the vaxes would reduce spread and transmission, but it turned out they they didnt at all and it was suspected that they woundnt because these types of vaxes against RNA viruses are almost always " non- sterilzing"
I believe the vax INCREASES the spread. Here’s why: around me most are triple jabbed, they are not getting tested and they feel fine. They go to work in nyc under a mandate and bring covid home to their kids - our schools are riddled with it. That’s how we got covid, from our high school kid who just had a stuffy nose. But we (unvaxxed) have been hammered with it. All extended family who has gotten covid over the last 2 years were not jabbed (some was before the vax). There's nothing "progressive" about Joe Biden. An argument can be made that Sanders deserved that moniker - but he got robbed twiced, and didn't seem to mind too much. So the word "Liberal" would apply, if we mean "NeoLiberal Corporatist" by that. Certainly there's lots of fauxgressives, team players and followers - who are going along with this New McCarthyism and Censorship...but as a lifelong lefty and progressive, I don't see anything "progressive" about any of it.
Jimmy Dore and Max Blumenthal are also progressive. I recommend the work of both. Often Max will be nice enough to sit-in on Dore's live streams and clips - and if you watch, you'll see that they're no fans of Biden, or any of the crap that he's doing.
Anyways, I say all of this just to point out that just as there are different factions and schisms, and a diversity of tendencies on the right...so too, the left. I acknowledge that there are righties of conscience and goodwill - and I believe that you're one of them... I just thought that I should point out that there are similar groupings on the left.
