Fracas in the Caucus, as McCarthy elected Speaker; Florida hires conservative super-activist for higher-ed; DeSantis occupies Reedy Creek; journalists, surfers, and Buffalo Bills get SADS; and more.
Why are they calling the wrangling for speaker dysfunctional? Government is supposed to be a hot mess of debating and demanding and compromising! I am loving this sense of actually waking up!! Read the stories from early days in the country - you’d have duels, fist fights, etc. British Parliament used to be crazy raucous. When they’re rowdy, they’re alive and are doing their dang job. I LOVE it!
Also, we need more Hillsdale-style schools!!! Go Florida!
Me too!! Totally agree! It’s nice to see people not just falling in line for once! Make McCarthy beholden to the representatives and the people he is supposed to speak for!
I congratulate the Republicans in the House, especially those who held McCarthy's feet to the fire. I suspect many of them remembered Paul Ryan and what a dismal Speaker he was. He undermined and worked against Trump's agenda.
Why are they calling the wrangling for speaker dysfunctional?
'Cuz the "mainstreamers" want to discredit and demonize those who believe in the cult of freedom vs. Money, Ideology, Coercion and Ego (MICE). I learned the term MICE from Michael Yon on The Highwire EPISODE 301: PANDEMICOLOGY:
The Highwire truly has shifted the mainstream “narrative” and saved countless lives by being willing to talk with everyone, ask compelling questions, listen to the answers, and verify their sources. Moreover, The Highwire researches meticulously, in depth, and with necessary skepticism (with thanks to the great Jeffrey Jaxen).
We never miss an episode and have become recurring donors — the small way we can help this great movement toward truth and health. So grateful for Del Bigtree and the team!
Yes, that one was amazing! I have to save that for every time I hear the “it’s been proven that vaccines don’t cause autism!” thing. I feel like Aaron Siri is one amazing human.
Yes! Need to save and wish I could remember all the folks in the past who I connected with who believed there is no connection and everything is on the up and up!
I had to giggle, RunningLogic mentioned Blind consensus and now I cant get Three Blind Mice out of my head 🤣 Too bad it’s actually a multiple of three.
Biden says the world is watching and we are embarrassing ourselves having such discord on display.... 1) we are a democratic Republic and that’s how democracy works ( you idiot ) and 2) your inability to speak without slurring your words or find your way to the Oval Office ( just for starters) on display is far more embarrassing and disturbing.
Agree totally on needing more Hillsdale-style schools! Go DeSantis! It makes me want to go back to college in my 60s! As a homeschool mom of 6, I learned so much real history that was deleted from the public school curriculum in the 60's and early 70's when I attended. At that time all the Christian emphasis was deliberately deleted. At least some facts were given. Now history is just blatant twisted lies! The communists have succeeded in their 1958 goal number 17 (Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in text-books), goal 18 (Gain control of all student newspapers), and goal 19 (Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack). AOC and others like her are the product of a failed school system that promotes communism.
Same here! My oldest is 13 and we are so grateful for Hillsdale classes online. We have been donating to Hillsdale as a thank you and in hopes that our homeschool kids will access to quality higher education in years to come. I got my Hillsdale benefactor card this week!
Love the Hillsdale style schools. I also homeschooled my two and became quite angry when I found out how much truth had been removed from my 70s and early 80s education. Especially history.
There appears no doubt that dems are happiest when they can point a finger at an "inferior" republican engaged in the "destruction of democracy ". They love the divisiveness and enjoy the hell out of attempting to fuel the fire and fan the flames.
Those to the extreme left - which seems the majority - are nasty as heck, and really need to take a GOOD look in the mirror, as they spew their venom.
Yet the left loved it when they could find one or two republicans to join in their witch-hunt against Trump! Then they took the position it is good fir democracy instead of dysfunctional
I love what went on in the House this week, it was so badly needed and the Republican dissenters are my new heroes! The Democrat party in particular behaves more like Xi's troops who move and do everything in lockstep and act as a monolithic single voice. I guess that is what the complainers are brainwashed to think is normal at this point. We NEED discussion and dissent.....it has been sorely lacking for a long time. Rowdy is good! It was also great to see everyone there because we pay them to be there. Usually, the House is empty and they don't bother to come.
Exactly!!! These arrogant “royals” have steamrolled the process for so long they forgot (maybe not) that what we’ve witnessed is built in to our system of governance by We the People. Kudos to the BRAVE & PRINCIPLED 20!!
More guts that the rest in that body.
Alabama is ashamed of Mike Rogers; first “terrorists”, then such a tantrum???
You are so right and look what great concessions that were/will be gotten by holding out and squabbling a little! This was great to watch. People thinking before acting!
The hot tempered Mike Rogers from Alabama who had to be pulled back from Matt Gaetz was interesting to watch. I had heard he will be chair of the House Armed Service Committee. Not sure we need a hot-head in that position.
Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney wants to know - Who is really running America if US Lawmakers are Forced to Sign Pledge to Support Israel if they want to be elected? - https://youtu.be/ImFMcbF2MYY
Exactly ... and is 'America' (if it even exists anymore) vassal to Israel, and to the 'people who cannot be criticized' lobby? Vassal to the Money Power/Wall Street/City of London conglomerate? Who exactly is running America because it is not the People the alleged 'owners of government'.
I thought Hakeem Jeffries' speech was atrocious, petty, and purposely divisive and condescending, whereas I experienced Kevin McCarthy's speech as perfect for the occasion. His positive energy was palpable, even through the TV. I especially loved his reference to the "Washington Crossing the Delaware" painting.
I agree! Reports said that the video was only available because house rules were not in place due to not having a speaker. A concession should’ve been to have a live feed on the House floor for all discussions. But I like the list they accomplished as it stands!
Whenever I read news of a self-righteous jabs taker who is previously on record scolding or hating on people like me, and then dies suddenly, I try and try and try to not listen to that evil little self-satisfied voice that pops into my head saying 'serves 'em right.' But it gets in. Just a little. And I feel shame for my lack of empathy. Just a little.
When I pray the 2nd Joyful Mystery of the Rosary (the Visitation of pregnant Mary with pregnant Elizabeth and John the Baptist, Luke 1:39-56) I do so with the intention of obtaining true love of neighbor from Our Lord.
This is exactly what I think of - my need to love my enemies: jab-happy "neighbors."
I just wish they had been willing to slow down and think carefully before enabling the propaganda and coercion that is killing and damaging people who are truly loved and could have done so much good in their lives.
Who says "they" didn't think carefully? Because they didn't come to the conclusion you came to? No. They did think and they made a self-conscious decision and only they are responsible for that. In fact, they were so sure of their decision, they used coercion and shame to manipulate others to follow them. My empathy is reserved for all the adults who had no means to defend themselves; the elderly who believed all the lies, the breadwinner who was just trying to provide for his/her family and the naive college student who still hadn't figured out how dangerous the world is. My empathy, and yes even righteous anger, is reserved for all the babies who will never have a "good" life, for all the children who were totally defenseless and for all the young people who naively trusted in the adult "authorities" for advice. Their decisions were made for them. Those who knew better and yet chose evil are not deserving of your empathy. Nor would they want it.
I'm not aware that anyone here takes pleasure in the death of evil people. However, the woke left is infamous for calling for the death of those who oppose their agenda. "But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed...he shall surely live; he shall not die." Eze 18:21 THAT man has earned my empathy and more; I would support him in any need.
You don't have a lack of empathy. What you have is "too much" empathy for everyone whose lives have been devastated by the bio-weapon forced on them. Serves them right? No, not yet. That will be determined by God as He sorts out those who come before Him after leaving this life. Those who self-consciously forced this agenda on everyone else made a deliberate decision to do what they did. My empathy ends with the innocent victims and I can trust God to sort that out in His court. Our battle is on this side of the grave. Do NOT feel shame. That is a lie of the Devil. Feel righteous indignation that the innocent were not defended; that righteousness was called evil and evil was called virtue. Let this gird up your loins to put on the armor of God and pick up your sword for battle. Rebuke the Devil and stand for righteousness.
I felt that way… no more.. I feel they are Addicted to their propaganda, a crouch. If I’m confronted, I’m not very engaging… I’m merely shrug and mutter prefer natural medicine.
Call me a naturalpath .. spelling.. we know more. I won’t engage. If I did… it would be a rant of 2 years statistics. I do caution and state: don’t vax kids. Look at Europe.
I think your feelings are completely normal. You're only human. The good & hopeful news is that you're aware of "those feelings". You can re-direct them via reflection & prayer, so God can soften your heart. ❤
Totally agree. It’s especially hard with family and their constant health complaints. I try giving them non pharmaceutical methods but they just scoff and me and go get injected. No Logic😢
Well, it’s hard to know how all the concessions will actually play out... will McCarthy keep his word.
That said, it’s kind of nice, after reading about the vigorously heated debates in the colonial House of Burgesses (Virginia, Patrick Henry and company) and the Continental Congresses (someone sent to summon a key supporter for declaring independence, who raced in on horseback muddy and wet from his all night ride, I am sorry I can’t remember the names, but Jenny Cote will, if she reads this), it’s nice to see some vigor and manliness coming from some of our elected representatives. No offense to the women who also held the line.
We need exactly more of this. Stand firm on principle. Debate. Real change. Although capping 2024 spending at 2022 level is not really the change we want to see. Can’t they repeal some of the loathsome omnibus? And what happened to the concession limiting bills to only one subject/bill? THAT definitely needs to happen.
I listened to Kat Cammack from FL do a live feed from the House floor at 2 am. She highlighted that everything we were hearing about the negotiations was incorrect, that this had been going on for months. She also made mention that they had negotiated in “good faith” several times as if that was a spoiler alert to fall back on if the same old, same old occurred. Do I trust what she is telling me? Not fully, as I no longer trust anyone in DC, but I will take it as a sign that the long battle is now fully engaged.
I am not a Kat Cammack fan. Her district is just north of mine and she has always been in McCarthy's pocket. She is still trying to throw shade on the 20. By the way, I read that she is the one that started the rumor that Democrats were drinking in the chambers. Her answer when she got flack was that it was just a joke.
Not true re: the district being in McCarthy's pocket. Prior to Kat, Ted Yoho served for eight years, was a Freedom Caucus member, and certainly no McCarthy fan. Ted despised the way business is run in DC and was happy to leave after he reached the eight-year limit that he had pledged to his constituents.
I agree, it's hard to trust that what we're hearing isn't propaganda-ish, no matter who it's coming from. "In good faith" is a crazy term to be using these days, lol. I do think there was a coordinated effort to get that story line disseminated out from the McCarthy supporters to the audiences skeptical of McCarthy.
Totally agree! Most concerning is will McCarthy keep his word! We already know that he is compromised. A man of integrity wouldn't need to sign a paper. With our constitution being totally ignored and lawlessness abounding, I am not holding my breath on that one.
I predict that "real" trans women can only be that by taking and passing a woke-ness test. Those who fail aren't "real". A bit of 'The Velveteen Rabbit' in reverse.
Not one of the "concessions" will ever be honored or carried out. Cap spending levels in 2024 at 2022 levels? LMAO on that one. Together, the leftist dems and mccarthy's RINOs will continue to send the country spinning out of control on a long slide into the abyss. Nothing has changed in the DC Swamp.
Normally I agree with you. However, something interesting happened to the official narrative.
Day 1: MSM (including FOX & Newmax)/Uniparty - exasperation, selfish 20
Day 2: MSM (including FOX & Newmax)/Uniparty - chaos, embarrassment
Day 3: MSM (including FOX & Newmax)/Uniparty - terrorists, insurrectionists
Day 4: MSM (including FOX & Newmax)/Uniparty - 20 holdouts did us a favor, here is the list of concessions that are good for Congress and the American people.
I guess what I am saying is the official narrative did not work and not only did the Uniparty cave, but so did MSM. MSM actually listed all of the concessions (as you saw in Jeff's post). They may try to squeeze out of it, but it will be harder. The people on social media now know the truth about why the 20 held out. I have already heard Congressman Tony Gonzales say yesterday afternoon on Twitter that he will not vote yes on the new rules. I think that may have caused enough mistrust that the 14th vote failed when McCarthy thought he had it.
Lastly, all of this also opened my eyes to the "conservative" pundit frauds out there. They talked a good talk for years, but were some of the strongest against the 20. I have unfollowed all of them.
I could see clearly when Fox and all the networks went completely covid, smothering everything under the fear porn. I never went back. Today, the same pundits that were there in 2016, are still doing their schstick. But my eyes are opened.
Yes, no surprise for me with Fox pundits. Some on Twitter took me aback. They "raged against the machine" until faced with the machine (McCarthy and friends). Caved before the first vote.
Crank your head on strait....Famous Conservative, George HW Bush predicted and approved of the New World Order mess we are now in...and his conservative son, George Bush orchestrated the 9/11 inside job followed by imperialist, murderous wars in Afghanisten, Iraq and a total disruption of the region.
Exactly. Many true intentions have been exposed over the last several days, including the passing of the grotesque omnibus bill last month. Many masks were ripped away for all to see the ugliness underneath.
There was a major push yesterday to put out that 'Day 4' line. I was on a conference call with my Representative, and that was the line, though it was more nuanced, as we were told that the negotiations had been ongoing since last summer. It was also pointed out to us that there were Freedom Caucus members on both sides of the Speaker issue.
Yes, I saw that from the Congressman in Jax area. Funny they did not say that on day 1. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Kabuki Theatre at its finest. I am not particularly a Matt Gaetz fan, either. He got too much joy from all of this. I am more in line with Chip Roy and Byron Donalds.
Roy & Donalds are rock stars; like you I’m swishy on Gaetz (baggage, & not much gravitas), but he played a credible role here. Took a joint effort with differing personalities & approaches. It came together.
To steal from Ben Franklin, “you’ve gotten concessions & promises IF McCarthy cabal will keep them.”
I think you are absolutely right. It did take all 20 to get this done and Matt did stick his neck out for the most slings and arrows. It was worth the price of admission (missing out on sleep last night) to see McCarthy barge right back to Matt and Lauren to try to tear them a new one. I cannot read lips, but liked how he did not back down. I wonder if the failed 14th vote was punishment for Congressman Tony Gonzales coming out yesterday afternoon and say he would vote "no" on the rules.
The exception at Fox, as often: Tucker Carlson. From day 1 he was defending the freedom group, asserting that public debates on the floor over issues is the way our representative government should work. He made clear that the issues were largely about process and fiscal control, without offering too many details, He also suggested that this would be a good learning experience for McCarthy, which may make him a better Speaker.
Fox is as progressive as any of the msm. But Fox has found they fill a niche with old guard Republicans who for far too long believed anyone with an R in front of their name. We have seen what the GOP swamp looks like over the past few years and many have had their eyes opened by the stench of DC. If Tucker seems to be the only voice speaking consistent truth, it’s because the powers that be at Fox want it that way. While Tucker does deep dives into topics no one else does, he hits and then leaves. Months after J6, he finally looked at closer to what it was than anyone, but it took months! And where is he now on it? Why is he not demanding video footage be revealed of that day. I understand for many he is the only one to go out on the limb, but telling everyone to be constantly afraid doesn’t help anything. Tucker is just that click bait used on the opposite end of the spectrum. His popularity, though is what keeps Fox afloat, hence why he is there.
What I take away from all this is that my positions (political and otherwise) must be subject to constant review. I must test everything I hear. I can't blindly lean on entertainers, or pundits, or news sources, or even *cough* Jeff and the C&C Army.
I value the comments section here and other places because people are offering their perspectives, and it allows me to think through everything. I don't love political parties because their great aim is to acquire and maintain power. To get there, they must homogenize ideology so they can build a fortress around their power. Right now, it appears that the D party is better at that than the R party is, but it would be a mistake to believe that the R organization doesn't want to homogenize ideology and vote monolithically. Ultimately, we always must be vigilant about the ever-present tyranny of political parties.
I hope Tony Gonzales does vote 'no' on the new rules provided that he votes 'no' on them because he thinks they are bad for the county, not because he resents others standing up for what they think is best for the country. Resentment as the prime mover in governing is a big problem for us, and the "victim" class set up by government programs plays heavily on resentment.
I most appreciated Gaetz’s comment against McCarthy who, in opposition to having him as Speaker, said something to the effect of being unable to drain the Swamp while throwing the biggest alligator back in.
And if they do try to trim, it will come from things like social security, not the permanent war state and the tens of billions we flood across the globe each year to corrupt governments like Ukraine...
Well, I have to say I *do* like the return to the old rule of allowing ONE Congressman to call for a vote on a new Speaker. That *might* be a restraint on RINO Zelenskyyy-ite McCarthy.
If when they vote to approve the House Rules all the concessions are in there, and if the other demands are met in practice (committee memberships, e.g.), which are reportedly in writing, then it's a real deal. I have it on good authority that it's been in the works since last summer. It can't hurt to pray, though.
Just talked to hubby who bought the Ivermectin from India order and he said he used AllDayChemist.com, and 100 tablets of 12 mg tabs cost us $124.87. They also offered 6 mg tabs. He said scroll to equivalent or generic brands, then scroll through alphabetical listing to find Ivermectin, or the drug of choice. Hope that helps.
I have had excellent customer service ordering with Alldaychemist.com. it's a month turnaround after the order. Works well to do bank draft since credit card not an option. No issues for myself or family friends who used it after I did it first. Thankful to have a stock of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine ready to go. Needed it November 2021.
Try Mygotodoc.com, Sayed Haider. I’ve been with his office from the beginning and was fully prepared when my turn with Delta came around. Has always come through for me.
I bought mine from India. ( I believe I got the web address from FLCCC’s site, but can’t remember now for sure since it’s been months since I bought it. I bought 100 tablets to keep on hand should we need to take them. ) I think it took 2 weeks to arrive at my home in the US. That time frame included time for the electronic check to clear in India.
Here are two posted comments on Ivermectin from India:
FYI: Anyone can buy drugs prescription free from pharmacies in India. I have used AllDayChemist for many years and have never had a problem. Only caveat is that it takes a while to receive them so order in advance.
I have also purchased from India. Indiamart.com has just about anything you need. If you go there, be sure to have a throw away email because YOU WILL get spammed immediately. Just wade through all the offers and select a vendor with good feedback.
Some really great news, at last. Thank you, Jeff Childers! Matt Gaetz should be next Speaker, but since only one person has to request it now, he could take over sooner rather than later! At any rate, the concessions are a great step in the right direction and may help right our leaky American ship.

Remember those COVID-19 death counters that ran on all of the major cable news networks 24/7? Imagine if they replaced those with #VaccineDeath counters.
A good read, I always like your common sense approach to the big *C. However, I have two home tests sitting in my cupboard courtesy of my government which I refuse to even try. What would have been your reaction if your tests had been positive? Would you have denounced the tests or would some small grain of doubt have crept in? Advertising at it’s most devious. Glad you are recovered.
I was very interested in the New College news. Way back in the 80's I was interested in going there since it was near my family home. However, even then, it was very liberal. It was a hippie environment in a preppy world. A professor there told me she did not believe in homework - and that was 40 years ago! I quickly moved to a less liberal private college in Central Florida. These folks will need to do an entire overhaul of the college, as it has only gotten worse. I think once they are able to do that the student population will come, just as the professors are already applying.
Being from Michigan, I can not say enough good things about Hillsdale College. If they seek to make New College more like Hillsdale, they are on the right track. The very success of Hillsdale in the corrupt state of Michigan tells you that people know about them and are willing to support them.
I, for one, am proud of the Republican Party for what occurred. Disagreement and debating should be acceptable in our country. The alternative of the Democratic Party is agree and comply or you’ll be cancelled, smeared or even worse.
Good for DeSantis re: Reedy Creek. Disney is the example, if he backs down then he'd be done. Every day I'm amazed how DeSantis follows through with what he says.
👏👏👏😄😄 High 5 and kudos to you, Jeff! You outdid yourself today. Wow! "It could have been worse" and the taco bell chalupo reference are only 2 of the great items in today's blog. I grinned the entire time reading this, twice. I know I will be rereading again. Your pen was sharp and very witting today. Always a good read but today was superb! 🤩
(1) declaring oneself female doesn’t make one female, so of course it doesn’t make one automatically a mother. Of course, we all know that.
(2) don’t for a minute pretend that a dad (male) can fill with equal finesse and grace the role that a mom (female) fills in the life of a child, anymore than I as a mom can fill the role my husband fills in the life of our kiddo. Two distinct and vitally important, God-created roles. We still laugh that when our kiddo was about five months old and began to say “dada,” kiddo still called for MAAAAMAAAA when there was a need for food, comfort, or just being held. The pattern remains even now, many years later. 😆
And I will happily ask my husband to speak to kiddo when kiddo is just not listening to mom, needs a dad’s convincing that no, x, y,or a really is not a good idea, or wants to talk about guns and knives and cars. I can listen. But I just don’t care as much as my husband. 😀
One of the reasons that divorce is so disruptive is because it disrupts the kids’ opportunities to have both mom and dad together in the same household. And yes, I fully recognize that divorce is sometimes an unwelcome and unwanted necessity, so no need to go there.
I agree with all of this. That said, I think the Ecuadorian man referenced was just trying to turn the tables on the system in to be in his favor by claiming to be a mom even though he isn’t a woman and has no intention of being trans or anything else. This whole idea of, if you feel like whatever gender that is what you are, is being turned on its head and I think it is a great way to expose the absolute absurdity of it all.
Also your point about having both a mother and a father is also what is missing with gay couples who have children.
As I was raising my children (now adults) I could understand the need for both a father and a mother. A mother is more intuitive and perceptive, but as a child gets older, they need the benign neglect of a father to succed. Mothers try to rescue too much. A father will let children burn off their eyebrows at a campout (true story). Whenever my child fell down at the playground, I had to force myself to sit, look away and let him figure out he was OK. Other mothers were saying, "aren't you going to go check on him?" When my son applied to West Point, the congressional staffer called my husband to ask about paperwork. My husband said to call our son, he was doing it, not us. The staffer was speechless. She said she's never seen the applicant do his own paperwork. For WEST POINT! What the heck? I never did my kids college applications or enroll them. It's on them. Their life belongs to them.
My children said baba before mama, but I have repeatedly told them had it not been for their mama they may not have made it to adulthood. Both have a vital but distinct role to play in upbringing
You got me all excited when I read a Democrat called the $1.7T bill bad for our children and grandchildren. I thought, HALLELUJAH, a Dem seeing the HUGE issue of National Debt, again, as the Dems once did decades ago...
Then the let down: she's a Freedom Caucus Republican. National debt is a tenet here... deep sigh...MOVING ON 🤣🤣

Because they can’t imagine anything but blind consensus like the Democrats have 😑
The Swamp may truly be draining thanks to the “Terrific 20”🙌🏻
I recently heard someone say that 5 or 6 people make all the decisions and then just tell all the others how to vote.
I've heard Justin Amash say that, and he should know, he was in Congress.
Or blind muzzling.
Haven’t listened to that one yet, but I will! Gotta love the Highwire.
Total “fangirl” of Jeffrey Jaxen. 😆 And yes, Del is just a gift to humanity, for sure. Sometimes he’s like listening to a preacher and I love it!
Yes!

I almost felt sorry for her. Almost. . .
Oh no. Not me. I have no sympathy for these liars. They know they’ve been destroying babies for decades… she’s just pissed she’s now been caught.
Let the truth be revealed…. Finally.
He starts around 1:13 mark if the show
So that makes this the struggle “Of MICE and Men.” ;)
(Don’t go all “what about women?” It’s a book title and yes applies to women and men. )
I had to giggle, RunningLogic mentioned Blind consensus and now I cant get Three Blind Mice out of my head 🤣 Too bad it’s actually a multiple of three.
How about this then: Three Blind Mice and a Blind Democrat walk into a bar.....or, Three Blind Mice, one of which is a Democrat.......
Great show on the high wire!!
Have you noticed that every elected Dem speaks only on script? The Dem machine does not allow debate.
What Pelosi says goes or you are out. Remember Bernie Sanders being ousted when he dared to campaign for president?
The Dem deals are done in darkness and the talking points handed out. Granted, Manchin is one of the only (and only partly) outliers.
I think the I was ideology
Yes. Thank you! I’ve corrected my comment (Ideology). Much appreciated.
I was discussing it with my husband and it took me like 20 minutes to remember it was driving me crazy with the I stood for 🙃
Good point: “ Government is supposed to be a hot mess of debating and demanding and compromising!”
Sciences is supposed to involve debate as well. Perhaps the tide is turning just a bit on both government AND science.
Yes, Pot calling the Kettle "black", is what THAT is.
I honestly think he’s so arrogant that he finds his “political banter” amusing….
Agree totally on needing more Hillsdale-style schools! Go DeSantis! It makes me want to go back to college in my 60s! As a homeschool mom of 6, I learned so much real history that was deleted from the public school curriculum in the 60's and early 70's when I attended.
I do some of their online classes, too. It’s a brilliant model, I think! We need a network of Hillsdale-ish schools.
More fist fights, please
Or cage matches.
Isn’t cock fighting illegal in the Capital?
Or maybe it’s legal as long as the FBI arranges it?
Hand to hand combat!
They need a real romper room where they can break out and sumo suit things for a bit.
The hot tempered Mike Rogers from Alabama who had to be pulled back from Matt Gaetz was interesting to watch. I had heard he will be chair of the House Armed Service Committee. Not sure we need a hot-head in that position.
As an Alabamian I’m totally embarrassed; I agree with you!
An old fashion duel might keep
Them in line at least the one that survives 🙃
YES.
I agree about the wrangling!
We really need a complete list.
It's a Rat propaganda point to denigrate and demoralize the new majority. They will rue the day.
100% agreed.
You are only human and they have done us unvaxxed a great harm. Many would continue to do so. But some can't because they are SADS. 🤔
They "can't because they are SADS." 😂😂😂 Thanks for the LOL, Annie.
Same here.
Jesus have mercy on me, a sinner.
Amen. 👍
God DOES NOT take pleasure in the death of evil people.... that should be our example to strive to imitate ... Eze 18:23
Same. It’s really hard not to feel that way after all of the vitriol they spouted against the unjabbed 😕
You are so right in the power of prayer and of Our Lord. 🙏
Totally agree. It’s especially hard with family and their constant health complaints. I try giving them non pharmaceutical methods but they just scoff and me and go get injected. No Logic😢
Schadenfreude.
Don’t be SADS
Capping to 2022 did sound like a real low ambition achievement to me too.
Yes, that was sloppy writing on my part. I was referring to Kat being in his pocket, not the entire district. Will try to edit now.
Now if they will all work just as hard for us on important pieces of legislation.
Yeah I called her office. But she’s def just a talking piece.
Totally agree! Most concerning is will McCarthy keep his word! We already know that he is compromised. A man of integrity wouldn't need to sign a paper. With our constitution being totally ignored and lawlessness abounding, I am not holding my breath on that one.
I was told by Kat on a conference call yesterday that single-subject bills are part of the deal, among many others.
Marvelous.
Now if they would fund only one thing at a time too. We can wish.
Ramos isn’t a “real” trans woman. HAHA! No one is! Way to go, Rene.
I love it. ❤️ You go girl! I mean Mr./Mrs. Ramos. 😉😄
I’ll love it if he stays looking like a man but claims he’s a woman (in his head)! You go Rene!!
"Mr./Mrs. Ramos" - No, no, no - that would mean he identifies as "two-spirit."
He's just goin' for regular ol' trans woman.
LOL
Mr./Mrs. Ramos was a nod to the use of one's preferred "pronouns. " 😂😂 lol. 😉
Exactly! Who are THEY to decide what is real or not? LOLOL
Suddenly there are limitations on who can be trans? Now they want their definitions to mean something else?
This man doing this exposes the LIE!
I predict that "real" trans women can only be that by taking and passing a woke-ness test. Those who fail aren't "real". A bit of 'The Velveteen Rabbit' in reverse.
Someone did the same thing with Peter Thiel in an article, since he's conservative he can't be gay even though he has sex with men...
I love it when someone rubs the trans pushers noses in their own you know what!
"............ a lot of trans activists who are outraged and appalled and insist that Ramos isn’t a “real” trans woman."
a " REAL Trans Woman " ............... now THERE'S an oxymoron if ever I've seen one.
(almost as comical as a "safe and effective" covid 19 'vaccine'. ALMOST.)
Yep. Been around for a very long time. I still think nothing has hurt America/world more than going off the gold standard.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. The foot/fire holding has just begun!
Yes, I agree. I think Tucker has been spot on more than not.
That really saddens me but I agree
And if they do try to trim, it will come from things like social security, not the permanent war state and the tens of billions we flood across the globe each year to corrupt governments like Ukraine...
Yes, I do not see these uniparty Republicans giving up on that. They wore a darn foreign flag in their lapels inside the US Capitol!
Virtue signaling, of course, but I find it disgusting.
That seems wrong. : )
This is sadly true
So, the concessions have no real weight? How does anyone feel like it is a real deal?
Well, I have to say I *do* like the return to the old rule of allowing ONE Congressman to call for a vote on a new Speaker. That *might* be a restraint on RINO Zelenskyyy-ite McCarthy.
If when they vote to approve the House Rules all the concessions are in there, and if the other demands are met in practice (committee memberships, e.g.), which are reportedly in writing, then it's a real deal. I have it on good authority that it's been in the works since last summer. It can't hurt to pray, though.
Twitter blew up with Ivermectin trending hard. Here's a compilation:
https://citizenfreepress.com/breaking/ivermectin-is-trending-1/
Hahaha, Dr. Simone Gold laying down the fire. She and a whole lot of folks are enjoying the new Elon policy of free and unfettered debate on science.
It's truly awesome.
Awesome compilation! Thank you for sharing!
Now, where to buy it without a prescription and paying an exorbitant price for it…
Just talked to hubby who bought the Ivermectin from India order and he said he used AllDayChemist.com, and 100 tablets of 12 mg tabs cost us $124.87.
Thanks!
Try Mygotodoc.com, Sayed Haider. I’ve been with his office from the beginning and was fully prepared when my turn with Delta came around. Has always come through for me.
Thank you!
Thanks!

Thank you!
Some really great news, at last. Thank you, Jeff Childers! Matt Gaetz should be next Speaker, but since only one person has to request it now, he could take over sooner rather than later! At any rate, the concessions are a great step in the right direction and may help right our leaky American ship.

Why don't you try those tests on, say, an apple and/or a papaya ... and then post the positive results on social media.
A big job. Chris Rufo is a fantastic start. A second Hillsdale would be more than visionary. He stated he’s overrun with applicants. I imagine.
Luv my Gov!
Regarding moms,
(1) declaring oneself female doesn’t make one female, so of course it doesn’t make one automatically a mother.
Yes, I think you are right about the man. He is just using the situation to his advantage.
This story reminds me of the "Mrs. Doubtfire" movie.
🤣
My children said baba before mama, but I have repeatedly told them had it not been for their mama they may not have made it to adulthood. Both have a vital but distinct role to play in upbringing
You got me all excited when I read a Democrat called the $1.7T bill bad for our children and grandchildren. I thought, HALLELUJAH, a Dem seeing the HUGE issue of National Debt, again, as the Dems once did decades ago...
Then the let down: she's a Freedom Caucus Republican. National debt is a tenet here... deep sigh...MOVING ON 🤣🤣
I know, I was at first intrigued by a Dem bucking the party line but then realized it had to be a typo 😆
Meee Toooo ! Awesomeness a dem calls 1.7 omnibus huge issue ! Progress Tucson Tanya
