John Leake mentioning Jeff Childers in his article on Hunga Tonga - Jeff was again way ahead of the power curve.

https://petermcculloughmd.substack.com/p/150-million-tons-of-water-vapor-injected

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Why do we not hear about HungaTonga volcanic eruption from "our" government and MSM and all the climate change lunatics?

Here's my hypothesis: They all knew and know it occurred. They all knew and know it injected at least 150 MILLION TONS of water into the atmosphere! They all knew and know that what goes up must come down. They all knew and know that it would come down almost as cataclysmic-ally as it went up. Helene was it coming back down. There is a lot of documentation about the US Gov being able to manipulate the direction of a hurricane. Did they create this disaster and will now use the created crisis to further their created crisis of climate change as well as seize all the land above a massive lithium mine in the Western part of NC??? And kill a lot of people? And massively disrupt the lives of thousands, perhaps millions of people right before a critical election which determines the fate of America as a Constitutional Republic or a communist dictatorship?

daverkb's avatar

This thought keeps recurring. That if someone wanted to grab lithium and mine it over the objections of the people who live in area, dumping a ton of water on them and washing them out is a grand way of 'their' solving 'their' recalcitrant problem. Large scale cloud seeding anyone?

Politico Phil's avatar

I know of only 2 people that saw this late comment yesterday, so here it is.............................

I am continuously impressed with Malone's substack. I need to pay closer attention.

This flood is not unprecedented. A flood of the same magnitude occurred in 1916.

The reason for this is simple. The topography of these mountains lends itself to this magnitude of flood given the type of continuous rain that we saw from the hurricane system which was taken advantage of by the weather manipulation technologies...................................................................

News From the Frontline of Helene

ROBERT W MALONE MD, MS

https://www.malone.news/p/news-from-the-frontline-of-helene

Now, I want you to look closely at these two videos documenting the activity of Next Rad stations across the country and compare them... then connect the dots in your mind.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAO5xTtyHkg/?igsh=MWxqYzAxZjU4ZnZpNA%3D%3D

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAeJg6Su-Qk/?igsh=YWRhMmpzZjQyNTlv

Do you see the difference? In the first video, you see the pattern of Nex Rad activity that typically occurs during night time hours relegated to highly populated areas. In the second video, the Next Rad activity expands to the sparsely populated areas in the central part of the country as Hurricane Helene comes ashore in FL. Helene was forecasted to take a track much further west than the track it actually took which would have dumped the rain out over the plains instead of the Appalachian mountain chain. What happened?

The method is simple. The weather system is seeded with chemtrail spraying of metals and other particulates. When the Nex Rad system is ramped up, the energy from the Nex Rad reacts with the particulates and pushes the system in the desired direction. Helene was purposely "directed" right up the mountain chain. Not quickly across the mountain chain, which would give it little time to drop all the rain, but up the mountain chain in a parallel fashion which kept the system continually raining on the topography thus producing the massive flooding.

Furthermore, before Helene came ashore, the center of the storm was observed to be emitting a purple glow that could be seen in the eye of the storm. This was from a Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) delivering energy directly into the storm thus causing the "rapid intensification" of the storm, which is apparently a 'thing' now days.

I saw the same thing happen with Hurricane Ian that was also forecasted to come ashore in the big bend of FL. But through a long series of 90 degree turns, first east and then back north, AT REGULAR INTERVALS, the storm was "directed" into the densely populated area south of Tampa. Storms do not make mechanical 90 degree adjustments to their tracks. This was not natural. It was man made.

This is but the tip of the iceberg. But it gives you the idea. Lahaina was NOT a one-off. They are using and will continue to use advanced technologies to wage their war on us, all the while telling us "Nothing to see here." Many of the other storms over the past few years have also been observed to exhibit unnatural behavior.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I too read Malone, he is a stalwart in the fight against tyranny, and on many fronts. His substack deserves equal attention to Jeff's.

patrick.net/memes's avatar

I also read Malone, but I always remember that he was definitely part of the deep state biowarfare program, and admits as much.

Maybe he's sincere now, or maybe he's looking for protection from punishment for what he participated in creating.

Oregon Kathy's avatar

Thanks for taking the time to post this for us, important info!

Politico Phil's avatar

Here is what I think may be the device they use to "rapidly intensify" a hurricane by injecting massive amounts of energy directly into the eye of the hurricane. And this is an ocean going floating platform. Somebody needs to put a GPS tracker on this and plot it's movement. Where is Greenpeace when you need them? Save The Humans!

Not sure about weather control, but remember: “never let a crisis go to waste”. Using disaster for their advantage while normal people suffer is in the playbook.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

There is a lot of documentation about the US government having been researching how to control the weather since at least the 1950s. They appear to have discovered a method for redirecting hurricanes as part of that decades long research. If you disbelieve that, just recall the decades long research for weaponizing viruses by human cockroach fauci and walking crime against humanity bill gates.

Johnny Be Real's avatar

I have read many of the government documents. It’s true and it’s disturbing. But this massive storm? I’d don’t know humans could create or modify its directions. I have doubts about that.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I never imagined that humans would be able to do gain of function research, including inserting DNA, etc, of viruses so small, it requires an electron microscope to see them.

Besides, when you have evil people like bill gates getting funded in the billions and evil people in "academia" doing the same over decades, many bad things have happened and will continue to happen. I mean it's a win-win for them when they can do it and blame it on climate change or other "phenomena"...

John Bugni's avatar

Johnny, do some research on HAARP weather modification. I saw a video of HAARP energy blossoms actually turning the hurricane. If you seek, you will find.

Marsha McGrath's avatar

Oh, Johnny, look:

The last three mega-hurricanes to hit the continental US, which all struck Florida, were each manufactured in this fashion. The latest highly destructive superstorm was Hurricane Helene which was stealthily geoengineered, initially off the coast of the Yucatan (see the map below), where the technology and equipment is located to generate superstorms from their very inception. That technology includes, at the very minimum, a specific mix of chemical geoengineering techniques, Nexrad network of doppler radar stations, HAARP-level frequency emitters, and power plant-generated water vapor, satellite-based DEWs and laser weaponry to name just a few.”

🤔Was the “volcanic eruption”in the South Pacific really an act of nature or something else? The effects of said volcano is playing into the climate change activist narrative very nicely. The eruption was equivalent to 61 metric tons of TNT exploding, or was it actually 61 metric tons of TNT? It’s too bad we have to question everything, but here we are.

“Extreme warmth if 2023-2024” - here in the desert mountains and valleys of far southwest California, the summers have yet to hit the highs of 2020.

The winter of 2022-23 was the coolest yet since 2015. A quick review of the archive at weather.gov for San Diego region shows how nuts weather has been since record-keeping began. “On this day in history” last week, records were broken for the highest temperature recorded as well as the lowest.

Summer 2022 was so mild…no doubts that other areas may have been hotter than normal. No one discusses cooler than normal. (And I am old enough to remember the warnings of a coming ice age!) 2024 did bring us a couple of heat waves, but nothing like 2020. (Still, aging isn’t helpful when dealing with high temperatures.)

FGB3's avatar

I wonder who pays for Texas A&M University atmospheric scientist Dr. Andrew Dessler and his collaborative team? The major universities were compromised a long time ago now. If you are into questioning, then question university PhDs. They are no longer trusted authorities. Just look at Covid as but one example among many.

patrick.net/memes's avatar

Yes, exactly.

No "scientist" can ever be trusted again without knowing exactly who is paying him or her. Even then, there might be hidden offers of jobs, or hidden threats to take into consideration.

That is a meaningless, semantical distinction. You are arguing over words without clearly defining your meaning. You are arguing over semantics. This "migration" is a massive invasion of aliens, coordinated and funded by the USG, the UN and Marxist NGOs of all kinds. The American people did not vote for this and it is contrary to all US law and custom. In the past, individuals who illegally cross a border are always classified as "illegal aliens". Why is that? Because by illegally crossing the border they are, by definition, an invader. Therefore, they are an illegal alien in country. When people do this in mass, we logically call this an invasion. Call it what you want, that doesn't change reality.

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

The Commandant of the Marine Corps, and all Marine generals, remained silent to the genocide of US Marines.

They should have stood up and said: "No f'ing way are you gonna inject my Marines with and experimental mRNA gene therapy full of spike proteins, lipid nanoparticles, polyethylene glycol, and other toxic substances."

A.J.'s avatar

As best I can tell only the US Postal Service union heads stood up and said heck no! to the jabs plus a few police, fire and sheriff unions scattered across the USA.

Oh! Almost forgot. Nancy Pelosi angrily said none of your business, that's "private information!" when asked by the press in 2021 if she, her staff, or any fellow Congresscritters got jabbed.

The US Marines' top brass since Smedley Butler retired have been careerists not leaders of men or women. I'd say the same about the other services with rare exceptions.

Died of ‘Natural causes’ riiiiight. So very sad. I’m beginning to see how that Deagal report may be accurate 😢

59 year old in shape Marine generals have always died of "natural causes". Its been happening for at least three years now!

Brandon is not your bro's avatar

Java , he was extremely fit … died suddenly… giant clots I’ll bet .

java's avatar

Yeah I’m sure he was. Good looking too. It’s always especially sad to me when they die alone. Maybe something could have been done. May God bless his soul 🙏🏼

Blood clot in the leg broke free and caused a pulmonary embolism--the major artery to the lungs was plugged by the clot. One of the main side effects of the safe and effective jab.

Kent's avatar

let's hope Mark C Miller's substack posts this DIED SUDDENLY incident. We all know what DIED SUDDENLY means, The VAX.

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

His last couple of Substacks have been brutal to go through...so many deaths.

Wendy Lemmel's avatar

I suspect they would find ways to waste it. I worked with FEMA after Hurricane Ike, and after that it’s hard to respect them - from the top leader from DC showing up late and stinking of booze for a morning strategy meeting, to their taking weeks to get a single trailer to the site for emergency housing and then being inordinately proud of managing to bring in 3 or 4 a week while thousands were without housing. They seemed to be good only at producing expensive glossy magazines about the agency and taking credit for the local supermarket’s distribution of water and food that began long before they showed up.

Pat Wetzel's avatar

Perhaps FEMA along with the dept of education can be top of Elon's list?

Susanna Bythesea's avatar

Yep. FEMA’s budget seems like it is not really allocated to helping US, but rather to their own gluttonous appetites for globalist agendas.

DefCon-Dan's avatar

"BIDEN: “Oh, in the storm zone? I didn’t know which storm you’re talking about. They uh, they’re getting everything they need. They are happy, across the board.”

Happy? Across the board? Really? Who is he talking about? Is something happening in space?"

He must be talking about the Ukraine and Israel?

Curious Jane's avatar

He must have meant "across the pond"

Another four letter agency that Trump needs to get rid of

Freebird's avatar

Agree, as Jeff said, it’s a good and bad deal, good because they have the almost infinite resources, bad, because they use those resources so poorly. And they always appear ‘too little, too late’. I’d wager that the many volunteer organizations could do a better job.

DefCon-Dan's avatar

That is unfortunately so true.

"It’s a good news-bad news situation. Now that FEMA has occupied the territory, assistance from other states and from independent volunteers must follow FEMA’s federal rules. That’s the pro/con of getting the feds involved. Once they are in, they’re all the way in, and they brook no competition."

It's also how they cover up anything they don't like, and take credit for things they don't deserve. So having them involved is WAY more bad than good.

This applies to all fed agencies too, not just FEMA.

Kent's avatar

Yes, FEMA is a coterie of criminals who steal and pillage whatever they can from the victims...They are not the organization they were intended years ago. They do not help at all.

Susanna Bythesea's avatar

Honest question: do we think anymore that FEMA was created with good intentions?

I haven’t researched this so not saying either way, I’m just so skeptical now.

DefCon-Dan's avatar

FEMA is under DHS, and there is nothing good about either.

It was one of the many bad results of 911.

You are right to be skeptical!

carily myers's avatar

Remember-FEMA told citizens flying in supplies that they had to stop!

They were taking in supplies that were not from "FEMA approved vendors". It's a huge kickback scam.

Carrie's avatar

There was mention in an article about FEMA finally arriving, and some of the rescued people (rescued by private citizens and organizations) not able to get hotel rooms because they were all occupied by government employees

sadie's avatar

I can't think of anything in the pro column. They are power lords and get in the way of real help.

Freebird's avatar

I’m afraid you’re right Sadie, as much as I pray that some help may come to those who so desperately need it, they probably only get it in an incidental or accidental way. The latest I heard was that the government was trying to prevent Elon Musk from providing StarLink free of charge, and we know that the reason they’d do that is so they can provide that service with their handpicked contractors, thus getting their cut of the money to be made. All according to their playbook of “never letting a crisis go to waste”; they are like ravenous wolves who move in and exploit and profit from every crisis, with no concern for the tragedy of human suffering.

Nikki (Gayle) Nicholson's avatar

It’s government, too much money & too little brains 🥴😢

Loved reading the paragraph with this “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.”

I could have used that sentence nonstop yesterday. It works both ways too! Firsthand witness accounts still matter and mean something but yesterday it wasn’t enough. It was highly frustrating both here and on X dealing with people wanting unrealistic amounts of evidence of what was clearly happening on the ground and given by countless testimonies of residents trapped or citizens there trying to help. The lack of video evidence of FEMA or state authorities turning away or confiscating supplies meant people could deny that the reports were true. “Absence of evidence is NOT evidence of absence” works here too! I don’t need a video when I see some of these residents crying and giving their accountings. And I bet it’s hard to charge their phones too. But when faced with all the angst and destruction around you and the horror of dead bodies outside your front door, yeah, you’re going to easily not think to take out your phone and video tape such a horrific thing if your mind is already torn in anguish. Or volunteers trying to get supplies in being stopped by FEMA may not think fast enough on their feet to video tape it in the moment. It’s chaos out there. There’s just too many reports corroborating stories across three states! And there ARE videos, and I’ve started to collect some examples, like the cop that threatened to arrest the woman just trying to get her personal property from within her business. I’ve seen a few videos that prove the reports about FEMA, but they still don’t seem to be enough. They are holding these poor people to impossible standards of proof before being given the compassion and help that they need. Let’s hope more people go there specifically to get video evidence to shut these fools up.

Nikki (Gayle) Nicholson's avatar

It’s all about destroying America. Just like the fires in Hawaii. Just like that town I think in Ohio. And of course it has there been any news of the chemical plant near Atlanta? the Biden Harris administration is doing a phenomenal job on that aspect. It’s the only thing they’re good at.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Feed them vinyl chloride!!!

Penny's Ponderings's avatar

Nikki,

The Biolab in Covington Georgia is owned by KIK. They make pool supplies. They have a history of fires at their plants because one of their ingredients catches fire when wet. The hurricane blew part of the roof off. (They lost some roof, then they went poof.) Chlorine gas escaped into the air from the fires which is highly damaging to lungs and creates acid rain. Now there's a petition circulating on Change.org to close the plant down. Please sign the petition against this irresponsible company!

Juju's avatar

I think in a disaster situation it’s better to err on the side of caution than to be wrong and hurt people who were telling the truth. A disaster is no time for political “give me your sources!” games and demanding the kind of proof that is only easy in less stressful situations. I will believe ALL these hundreds of people giving testimonies because the fallout of not believing if they are telling the truth is far more hurtful to everyone.

On an island's avatar

“It was highly frustrating both here and on X dealing with people wanting unrealistic amounts of evidence of what was clearly happening on the ground…”

I sure hope you weren’t talking about our exchange yesterday, which I thought was productive in short order after you told me about Steel News. At that point, the ONLY bit of info i saw about happenings on the ground was the Chris Martenson tweet citing his unidentified source’s statements about Chimney Rock.

I can only pay attention to so much world news in one day and I don’t have an X account, so for someone who had not yet seen all the witness testimony and videos that you may have, I consider more evidence a reasonable ask.

Juju's avatar

Oh gosh NO it wasn’t you at all. 🤣 I had MANY other encounters that were actually frustrating. You were not. Lol. It’s always easy to converse with you.

On an island's avatar

Oh thank goodness! And thanks again for the good info you provided, which totally got me up to speed. Hopefully your efforts paid off in helping others wade through some confusion too. ☺️

Juju's avatar

You should know that when I first discovered Substack earlier this year you were one of the first accounts I noticed in a few stacks that I liked reading. And the jokes about you literally being on an island. 🤣

I’m sorry if anything I said or the way I said it masked my respect. I did not intend that. I’m pretty blunt in real life and say things without much emotion, like a computer. I’m working on that! Have been for 30 years. LOL I have the gift/nature of “prophesy” (in the way that the desire for truth to be known and heard trumps EVERYTHING else,) and my gifts of compassion just can’t overcome this. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m the one explaining to someone who comes in for financial assistance how wasting their paycheck on lottery tickets and booze is why they can’t pay their rent while another person with the gift of helping or compassion is digging money out of their wallet to help cover that month’s rent for them. 🤣 Two gifts on display, and the strongest we each have is what we act on first.

On an island's avatar

No need to apologize Juju! Thank you though for telling me that you’ve enjoyed reading my comments. ☺️ I’ve also noticed yours for awhile and I hear ya on the value of being direct! NofloChick's avatar

I saw a video clip of a stranded man in North Carolina who was very upset and crying that there was no government support in rescue operations and then he mentioned he supported Kamala. 😳

Yarrow's avatar

Don't make fun of the man. He's going through a rough time, and logic is clearly not his strong suit. But if he sees that relief is coming from people he thought were the enemy, he's well positioned for a radical change of perspective. And that's how we win.

RunningLogic's avatar

I am not so sure about that 😕 I hope it changes his mind but more than likely, he’ll either say it’s from “the government” whether it really is or not, or he’ll simply forget about it once his immediate needs are met. Or ignore that fact. Sorry to be so cynical but I have seen it too many times 😕

Yarrow's avatar

Like as not. You can't force people to change, all you can do is show them the way. But you know how you can guarantee that *won't* happen? People being jerks about it, right at the crucial juncture where the opportunity to see the light has presented itself.

I don't know about you, but I've lost count of the number of people these last few years saying "I used to be a leftie, but then they went this one step too far and I just couldn't... and then everybody I met on the right was so incredibly and unexpectedly nice about it, while people who used to be my lefty friends basically spit on me because I raised questions about this *one thing*..." I know you've heard this story. So when people look like they're on that brink, make sure you're the one being nice about it, not the one going "hahaa look at that dumbass getting what he deserves for being a dumbass".

RunningLogic's avatar

Yes I agree. People don’t deserve to be deprived of food or shelter, or not given comfort in times of need because of their political opinions or voting record. And a little kindness often can go a long way.

I keep coming back to only one conclusion: we are a deeply, deeply divided nation with half the country holding to an understanding of and love for American Heritage (even with its flaws and missteps in history) and the other half embracing some Utopian understanding of "what can be" which requires brute force to enact. Given the depth of indoctrination now taking place throughout all levels of society from elementary school, through college and grad schools, in the media, in entertainment and even (sadly) in the Church, it is a testament to the enduring beliefs of our Founders that a solid half of the country continues to reject the Left's progressive view of the world. It is to this resilience I cling when I get discouraged about the state of our country. Prayer needed now more than ever!

LiveDreamRepeat's avatar

Yep. Was reading about brainwashing last night and I realized. They are BRAINWASHED. They *think* they are high information. I have one acquaintance who goes on long rants on my page. He refuses to believe that any vax has ever been bad. He thinks masks are amazing. He refuses to believe there are bad actors in government. He touts his 3 degrees and that he reads data all day long. I honestly dont even bother engaging anymore, because despite citing endless trustworthy sources, he refuses to be open to new info. So I just let him rant and on his own he shows how clueless he truly is.

Julie Ann B's avatar

But I thank God for DeSantis and Trump and their willingness to provide leadership when we’re forced to endure a pathetic, embarrassing, and inept regime controlling the federal government.

Valerie's avatar

Same! Thank God we have some leaders willing to step up.

GG's avatar

I'm not sad because there are good men who are willing and able to stand up. It would be another matter entirely if they didn't. Then I would agree with you.

People like Trump, DeSantis, Vance, Ramaswamy, Musk make me cautiously optimistic.

Valerie's avatar

Oh, I agree. I meant that it’s sad for us that we can’t rely on the elected officials to do their job, that they only do it because someone else stood up and made them look stupid.

Sunnydaze's avatar

Except my understanding is that there are good men who are willing and able who are not out doing what they are trained to do because they are waiting for the order to be given to go. Until then they sit and wait. I’d love to know if those rumors are true.

GG's avatar

Also, Musk highlighted a tweet the other day that said, "Have I gone crazy, or has supporting Trump become reasonable?" Four years ago, you expressed support for Trump at your own peril. People aren't afraid anymore.

GG's avatar

I truly believe that as more good men who are willing and able to step up do so, they will lead the way for the rest. That's always the way it is. Think back to the mask mandates. Everyone was afraid to go out in public without a mask at first. My child was terrified. And I was afraid, too. But I was more angry that someone was trying to make me do something so ridiculous. So at first I wore my mask under my nose, then under my chin and eventually, while everyone else was still in full mask phase, without it at all. I got lots of angry looks and a couple of comments, but I soon became the majority.

When people with courage stand up, it's catching and it gives others the courage to do the same. We haven't had that for a long time, but I get a feeling like there's a movement afoot. I think about how they silenced and tried to sideline Trump in 2020 and now so many people have woken up. I think about Benny Johnson going after companies that are caving to the mob and how they're turning around. And I think about people like DeSantis and how he is providing a blueprint for true conservative leaders across the country. I'm really encouraged.

NAB's avatar

Great comment, GG. Courage is contagious!

We need to stop giving out tax dollars to NPR.

Wendy Lemmel's avatar

Back in the 70’s and early 80’s they were a decent radio station. Slightly left leaning news, but great music collections of jazz or opera or symphony depending on the station. Now they are a state paid propaganda machine.

Dr Linda's avatar

I do remember those days. They seem so very far away

Pat Wetzel's avatar

Whenever I drove from Tahoe ( the NV side) to CA (wine country) I used to listen to npr for a bit. I always considered it the comedy channel. These days it doesn't even qualify for that.

Karen Bandy's avatar

Saturday mornings, Car Talk, Wait Wait, Don’t Tell me. Then Lynn Rosetto with her cooking show…. All so good.

Verve's avatar

This is so, so true. The only station to have classical music and unique jazz, livestreams and rebroadcasts of the opera etc. Had to stop listening to it all because I couldn't in good conscience listen to the liberal propaganda anymore. Just so sad. I could never figure out why these libs had such sophisticated palates to listen to classical music, composed by "dead white men" but then champion the genital chopping and pedophilic grooming in the public schools. It's total madness.

MnmMom's avatar

I have not understood why our tax payer $s have been used for NPR for years.

Now, I have concerns about radio in general since Soros has been buying up radio stations. If we have a major failure of internet or power grid issues, radio stations historically have been the what we went to for information and instructions. If Soros owns a majority in them ….. 🤔🧐🤨. Hmm… may have to look more into alternatives like Starlink and solar battery power.

P Flournoy's avatar

I don’t think DeSantis would agree to be anybody’s vice president.

Aloha50's avatar

No. Desantis is the best most accomplished governor in our lifetime and we opt for a guy who's only been a senator for under two years and wasn't even conservative until fairly recently?

Juju's avatar

🤷🏼‍♀️ well this is what we have and we need to be supportive of the ticket. If JD weren’t picked and DeSantis was, I certainly wouldn’t be spending my time complaining about that and telling everyone how much better of a pick I thought JD was, but instead I would be getting behind DeSantis because he is good too. They are both worthy. JD is known to be the most intelligent senator out of the entire senate, regardless of age or experience. He wasn’t a frivolous choice. He has significant merit. There’s no reason at this point in the election to complain about him.

This may be a concern when we consider both Vance and Ramaswamy for high office. We made this mistake by putting a Muslim in once and the American transformation began. We need to keep to who the Founders were. The Constitution and Democracy only work when Judeo-Christian principles are upheld. “One nation under God” refers to the Christian Triune God.

Aloha50's avatar

LOL. Not even close. He's proven nothing being a senator for less than two years. His abortion answer super weak. He needs to wait

Willing Spirit's avatar

Maybe you would have liked him to proclaim that abortion is murder and he supports a federal ban.

Do you know what percentage of the voting population considers abortion to be absolutely necessary?

Being strong but not elected would put him in a very weak position for changing anything.

Omg this is the evilest of the evil! Can’t express how much we hate GrWretched.

My husband always said i should apply as a caregiver for my Mom, who i helped over the last 4 years until she passed this January. I never applied to receive funds because i was just thankful i had the flexibility and could do it without extra money. But some caregivers need that money and to make them “public employees” under a union with all the BS that goes along with it is so wrong and disgusting. This MI governess is unbelievably despicable! Wasn’t enough for her to kill old people during Covid, now she’s going after their caregivers. 🤮

Yarrow's avatar

Don't. Help solve the problem in your own state. We love y'all and want the best for everyone, but...

The rest of us can't afford housing here anymore, because people who make more money than we do (i.e. people who can afford to pick up and relocate across the country to a place where they've got no family) have been moving to our state en masse for three years now. I was born here and I don't want to leave, but if things don't start getting better I may be hoisting an Alabama flag next year...

Robin Greer's avatar

Same here in TN. IT's been like an invasion and the housing prices are out of control now.

Yarrow's avatar

For sure. It makes me deeply sad that we are barely hanging on, in the place where I was born, and where most of my family lives. And I also don't want to do to people in AL, what's been happening to us! I look through real estate listings for places like central NY, St. Louis, Cleveland... there are tons of beautiful affordable houses there. But nobody wants to live there because the taxes are high, the government is shite, and at least in NY, they really put the "cult" into "culture". Some days I feel like if the rest of the dang country could get a friggin' clue, then ALL of us would be able to afford a modest house, and the whole universe would not be trying to move here. I don't actually want to live 800 miles away from my siblings, cousins, and parents, but there are plenty of people making three times our income who have no problem with that, and are outbidding us on houses. For the last three years.

Sigh.

Aloha50's avatar

I still have a foot in CA. So many people from here (some that I personally know) have moved to Tennessee. Including my step brother who did just last month.

Karen Bandy's avatar

Californians started moving to our beautiful little lumber based, and tourist town of Bend, Oregon in the early 90’s. Developers developed a beautiful butte overlooking the town, put up $325k McMansions, and rich Californians flocked here with their problem brats, and now we’re an overpriced elite liberal small city. Oh, those 90’s homes are now over a million, you can guess what new builds are.

Aloha50's avatar

Oh yes, back in 90's early aughts seemed like every other person in CA was moving to Bend. Like Tennessee now, for a while it was Bend (later became Idaho).

WA Lunch Lady's avatar

We’ve had the same problem in WA since the late ‘80s early 90’s. Bought our first ‘starter’ home in ‘92 for 110k now it’s about 700k for a 1200 sq ft home. Mind blowing what this housing market has become. Our local congresswoman showed up on my doorstep at one of the last elections and asked what my concerns were about the current state of the country and I told her with tears in my eyes it was the cost of housing. This is killing the American dream for so many. Just heart breaking 💔

Lorita's avatar

Yes, stuck in Oregon.

Lorita's avatar

Outside of Medford. Stuck here, can't sell, and no where to go that we can afford. Praying for a miracle, we've had them in the past so there is hope. Are you near?

Karen Bandy's avatar

Same, we’re in Bend.

Standard of living in Florida is rapidly declining. I’m a native and it’s less pleasant every day.

Oregon Kathy's avatar

Curious where a Floridian would go next. Why Alabama?

Yarrow's avatar

Because houses are cheaper there, and it's the only place outside the state where I could still be within a few hours' drive of family. Still not close enough to check on my parents in an emergency though.

I spent some time in DC. I saw enough reptiles, entitled's and corrupt EVERYONE to last several life times! The cops once set up a "DUI check point" where they forced everyone to submit to a DNA swab. When the Chief of Police was excoriated for it, he promised to pitch all the samples. 🙄

I was thinking the same, except I can’t tolerate the heat. The 2 months of Florida-like weather in SE PA is only tolerated because I know it’s going to end. But I’d definitely vote for him in 2028!

We have a friend that's in Idaho almost on the Canadian border and she had several days over 100 degrees this year. Being so far north, there is no AC.

Robin Greer's avatar

And FYI: They are having problems with border crossers from the North and she had a break in last year in the middle of nowhere.

NofloChick's avatar

You get used to the heat. I moved here five years ago from Colorado, which is very dry. The first couple of summers were difficult, but I don’t mind them at all now. The good far outweighs the bad.

“FEMA’s resources are orders of magnitude greater than what Florida can provide.”

If they actually want to give it 😕 Apparently when they take over, only their “preferred vendor” cronies can send supplies 😡🙄

Sunnydaze's avatar

I speculate those victims would be better off if the fed govt stayed the hell away and let the citizens of this country do what they do best! Funnel the money to THEM and let them actually rescue the people without ulterior motives. If you’re here from the govt get the hell out of the way and let us do our thing!

RunningLogic's avatar

I agree, we’d all be better off without the federal government’s “help.”

Pat Wetzel's avatar

Just one of many federal agencies we could easily live without. I know this is a pipe dream, but I'd love to see Elon/Trump gut these agencies. Or perhaps just do away with them entirely. I suspect there is a better and far more efficient way of structuring government and it's time we start thinking outside of the box.

Robin Greer's avatar

Love this story about Daniel Boone addressing congress about appropriating government money saying they have no right to do so: https://libertytree.com/randpaul/2537

Fred Jewett's avatar

What is more important is the percentage of support that goes to the people who need it. If 80% of FEMA's budget is eaten up by administrative costs, cover bribes, cover kickbacks to politicians, etc then Florida's meagre emergency fund may get more done than FEMA's billions.

Susanna Bythesea's avatar

Yes! Or all the swarms of private organizations and donations. FEMA is not the be-all, end-all. “I’m from the government and I’m here to *help*” 🤨

Roger Beal's avatar

FEMA follows the union shop / anti right-to-work model of disaster relief.

Lisa's avatar

Yes! I just found out they use certified vendors, or some language like that. Always a grift.

Carol M.'s avatar

Will FEMA allow the (privately donated) truck loads of supplies being sent in??

Oregon Kathy's avatar

I’ve heard that they’re stopping them.

Peace's avatar

I'm here in the Asheville area and I have not heard that happening locally.

Carrie's avatar

FEMA would be on the chopping block in my fantasy US government, along with many other agencies… local communities and private citizens can do better.

Maggie Think of Me's avatar

My brother was in Key West during the event he describes. He drove down with loads of supplies for thd lower keys, was there ahead of the govt thugs. He says to take what this guy says with a grain of sand... much of it is simply not true. He's taking credit where credit is not due, extrapolating what he wants assigned to his merit....

FEMA is offering $400 an hour to those willing to head up to Asheville and clear debris using your own vehicle/supplies... my brother passed. He says the locals are capable of getting far more done, and faster than those there to make a fast buck... and they are much better to work with... besides, there are areas far worse off than Asheville, a deep blue city, but that's where the govt has its center of operations.

Juju's avatar

Do finish reading his story. It starts out sounding like he is defending why they can’t use outside of FEMA/authority help, but he actually is making the same point you are and defending that the locals are better. At first I read it like you must have but he actually flips it around and says the exact same thing as you.

Yarrow's avatar

Exactly. Those resources are huge, but they're all getting siphoned off to FEMA's "preferred vendors" instead of to people who need help. Eff that. We'd be better off without FEMA.

Julie's avatar

So evil!! Can the states just tell FEMA to bugger off and let the patriots take care of their own??

“Joe Biden — who is not busy — wasted a week since Helene tore through Florida’s panhandle before visiting the Sunshine State.”

I’m no fan of RINO George W Bush, but I remember how he was excoriated for taking two days to go and visit Louisiana after Katrina. And not getting supplies in or helping people quickly enough. So funny how the press is not saying the same about Cabbage Brain 🤔 But it’s always (D)ifferent when *their* side does it 🙄

Been looking for a place to share this news about media, where the most people can see it, and how they brainwash the viewers to believe precisely what they want. MSNBC is caught in hidden camera admitting to what all of us have already known, but the left who are brainwashed don’t:

"Complaining like an old man asked to use the couch for a few days while his armchair gets deep cleaned, Joe Biden grumbled his way off Rehobeth Beach and visited storm-ravaged areas of the Carolinas and Florida yesterday."

Hilarious start. He'll be here all week folks, tip your waitresses and waiters. Not only would he be mad about losing couch access also his wife would be on him about not getting all the furniture covered in plastic.

I read that the other day and felt exactly the same, absolutely furious that cronyism comes before helping people in need for our government agencies 😡🤬

OnTheJump's avatar

yes......it's horrible - and I see that the "proactive left" is now suggesting that the negative "conspiracy theories" being posted on " X " should be ignored as bs.

Saddest part? Lefties will shake their heads and agree that such stories are solely aimed at harming Harris' Nov 5 chances.

Good thing biden finally was shamed into getting FEMA in there..wonder if they will need to print more money, since our tax $ have flown the coup, heading toward Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan and others......and of course, new cell phone for illegal immigrants, not to mention hotel rooms, food stamps, etc.

America Last. 😮‍💨

Juju's avatar

That’s EXACTLY what they are doing, they are commenting on all the posts that the testimonies are only to drum up support for Trump and there is no proof any of this is happening. 🤦🏼‍♀️ You can’t hate these people enough. Even FEMA posted that the “spread of false information can prevent people from getting the help they need. Please go to our site for truth” and posted the fema .gov link. I responded that it was ludicrous to think false information would prevent them from doing their jobs because they can go in any time and do the right thing regardless what is said online. I also told them they can’t get away with this campaign to control the narrative. We won’t let them.

OnTheJump's avatar

Yes it's ridiculous.

Do all government agencies believe us to be stupid ?

RunningLogic's avatar

Yes. Yes they do 😕 Their arrogance is unending.

NAB's avatar

ARGHHHHH! Grift, grift and more grift!! On one level you can understand, in theory, about steps to prevent further loss of life and the need to minimize risk. BUT, these are extremely unusual situations. Why the government wouldn't be coordinating with ANY willing group there to provide material comfort and aid is beyond me. Designate someone to register the groups and assign them an area. Something. I mean, this can't be that hard. I'm sure there are people with previous experience (as evidenced in this tweet) that could take on this responsibility if the government is unable to do so. I just can't believe how inept our government is. Does it do anything well anymore?? Anything??

OnTheJump's avatar

Nothing.

Except….spend our money.
