One of the most successful Jedi Mind Trick "distractions" in modern day politics was convincing a sleepy unenlightened public to vote for a president simply based on skin color. (A rare instance of a vote cast either for OR against someone makes you racist). "And good Lord, Miss Agnes, he's soooo articulate.........." "Change we can believe in." Well, we certainly got that....and, dare I say, just a dash extra.

Ah yes, the “change” mantra. Reminded me of a poem I wrote back in 2013:

Change

Change, change

They want change,

They want it all right now;

They’re desperate for a handout,

So at greed’s throne they bow.

Change, change

They want change

They’re tired of the status quo;

Demanding more than they deserve,

They’ll soon reap what they sow.

Change, change

They want change

No matter what the cost;

They’ll sacrifice our freedoms

Until every freedom’s lost.

Change, change

We want change

The kind that rearranges

People’s hearts and minds to see

What the sad exchange is

When they sacrifice the truth

To satisfy their greed.

Change, change

I want change

In my mind and heart

To make me more like Jesus Christ

And always do my part

To see that others hear the truth

And cease their endless quest

For government to meet their needs-

Instead, in Christ to rest.

Change, change

God, give us change

The kind that rearranges

People’s hearts and minds to see

What the sad exchange is

When they sacrifice the truth

To satisfy their greed.

"They built the gallows. They tied the rope. Now they are realizing they are standing on the trapdoor," says Jeff. Certainly sounds a lot like Haman and Mordecai in the book of Esther. Should we start calling him Barack "Haman" Obama to get the point across that his reckoning is coming?

Your point is well made and taken, although tagging him with a Hebrew name seems like a good slap across his face, given his professed and well proven loyalties.

If I shifted my opinion on Trump based on both of his terms, I would be all over the place. He is who he is. He could either be both republican and democrat based on his actions, or neither. He too is an outlier.

At times he listens to the swamp...he could very well be the swamp whisperer, and other times he rejects and drains the swamp. He is for "big beautiful bills" which go against the principle of smaller government, and yet he also is going through the different departments and cutting government jobs where needed.

I have someone close to me in government say that about 40% of his staff is gone and part of it were the experts...so they are learning about how to do things and make decisions, and also incurring a much larger workload. To this I say...good. The thing we need is an "expert cleaning" of the government. These people are part of what makes the swamp, the swamp, by simply supporting their lead. We all saw what the appeal to experts' logical fallacy brought us the last five years.

People who thought they had secure government jobs are no longer thinking so...Heck we saw some of that in the shakeout of the USAID findings...people still staying at work, going all George Costanza thinking they could just keep working there indefinitely. The part that was Exceptional about America was its Law which recognized God's Law as Highest Law ... sovereign, supreme and controlling of lower law, both civil and criminal. No other country recognized God's Law as Higher Law as clearly and with such force as did the Americans. That this was so is why the two tablets were hung in early American court rooms.

Higher Law is a separate jurisdiction inviolable, one into which the civil sword may not enter. Hence the use of the words, 'may not be infringed upon'.

America is no longer 'exceptional' in that the early system of law has been entirely usurped.

And this why people like Obama hate those 'gun toting, Bible thumping' people so much, because such people view God's Law as an obstacle to their lawlessness. And it is the same reason why people like Saul Alinsky dedicate books like Rules for Radicals to Lucifer. Marxism is inherently Godless and an engine of chaos.

It was the precursor predictive programming for the current DEI, ESJ, climate change scams. My mother styles herself a militant SJW (still). I tend to agree, unfortunately. There are WAY TOO MANY braindead sheep still sound asleep lapping up the mainstream media garbage. They have their eyes closed and heads purposefully stuck in the sand. It is unbelievable to me just how many. The conservatives would not start a civil war even though they tried to goad us into it. But the left would absolutely do it. All their paid operatives would start it and those braindead sheep would join in right on cue. Example: 2020 riots.

For younger Dem activists, Obama was a long time ago.

It’d be an excuse for rioting, sure.

But if Obama et al are found guilty & the Admin does a good job communicating the certainty & gravity of their guilt, the rioters would be undermined. Arresting some of THEM, early on, would also get the message across:

The corruption HAS to stop.

And yes, Trump has to stop dodging the Epstein issue or he can’t lead an anti-corruption movement.

@Eric. And again, maybe we aren’t in Kansas anymore, Toto. Maybe we can be ‘unburdened by what has gone before’.

July 17 was supposed to be a big protest, uprising against Trump in honor of the birthday of Civil Rights hero John Lewis. They were supposed to make “Good Trouble” or something like that, which I figured was like a ‘mostly peaceful’ riot that doesn’t burn down the entire city.

Nothing happened that I know about. And I thought maybe the money to hire the mobs and bus/fly them around the country got dried up.

And on Nextdoor in my large city with a large minority population, I’m seeing pushback comments in regards to claims of police brutality and crime that would have never been posted even a year ago.

How real could a ‘grassroots’ uprising really be? I don’t think we’ve ever seen one.

Too many whose employment is either impacted or sustained by govt grants. A disaster happens and the first question is 'where's FEMA? Like it's the govt's role to protect/save us. Only half of Americans actually pay income tax to support the other half. 11% of males 18-54 are not in the workforce - down from ~97% in the 1950's.

We are just like the prisoners in Plato's cave, trying to make sense of the world from flickering shadows on a wall. The real distraction isn't Epstein lists or Russiagate. It's the illusion that those are the only distractions. Anyone paying attention should be playing their own game of 5D chess by now. The narratives are layered. The timing isn't random. Every headline is a brick in someone else's wall. This isn't about who's guilty. It's about who gets to define guilt, and when the public even notices the hand on the scale.

Plato's Republic so many thousands of years ago said it all.

Oddly, the Marxist Poly Sci profs most likely viewed Plato's work from the angle of 'Father Knows Best' in the figure of the Philosopher King. But through the lens of hellish Globalism, the Philosopher King becomes our curse. Think the Bushes, Clintons, Obama and President Cabbage. For them, there are only two classes ... the Philosopher Kings and rest of us the Deplorables who are always caught in the dark web of the Cave with a mere flicker of light on high but never seen. Just shadows moving across a wall.

Expand full comment
John Cougar Misanthrope's avatar

Great comment. I'm pretty confident that Plato wasn't imagining a Bush, Clinton, Obama, or Biden - or any other Uniparty political offspring - when he conceived the Philosopher King. Plato was thinking of someone who governed with wisdom, self-restraint, and a love of truth above power, not the current generation of globalist technocrats or legacy politicians merely posing as enlightened elites. Of course, we know that what we have now isn't Plato's Republic. Rather, it's a managed illusion run by people who want the aesthetic and trappings of authority without any of the virtues that justify it. We're still living in the cave. It's just that the shadows are now broadcast in 4K HD.

I’m typically right down the center with Jeff on every issue; however, just as he took exception with Scott’s comment, I’m going to offer an exception to Jeff’s comment:

“I’ll disagree with Scott on that one point. He thinks a civil war would be likely were Obama arrested. But … there was no civil war when Trump was arrested.”

It’s true no civil war ensued when Trump was arrested, but I’d offer the two situations have little similarity in that regard. Trump’s team are long-ball players and strive to color inside the lines. By contrast, Obama’s team (including the fraudulent and corrupted MSM) consciously and purposely and with harmful intent not only color outside the lines as standard protocol but will also breech every code of ethics to try and have their way, just like the foolish and selfish children they are.

Obama must be charged or all bets are off.

Will the Obama cronies lash out? Without a doubt.

The only thing that might prevent an open and bloody civil war is the mere fact that Trump’s team smartly neutered their grifting mechanisms at USAID, ActBlue and other similarly fraudulent enterprises that existing for no other purpose to launder money to the DNC. With at least 2 legs of the stool now removed, the Dems are teetering on a very unstable edge and the slightest misstep on their part will send them even further into the deep, dark abyss.

It’s a wonderful development. They’ve gotten over their skis so far and played the American citizenry as fools for too long. Their day of reckoning has hopefully arrived.

“We need a commission to investigate DNI Gabbard’s allegations - they are serious; but the commission should not be politicians or done in DC…do it in Kansas,get nurses,farmers, clerks, dentists, teacher, single mothers etc. ….people who are committed to getting to the bottom of this without political motive…let the American people do this since no one will trust a commission here in DC composed of politicians.”

Au contraire...I would say the left fights only for themselves and retaining and increasing their power, that's what they think about. Once they get elected they believe the seat or position belongs to them. I remember when Scott Brown (R) got elected in Massachusetts and people were so incensed because they said it was "Ted Kennedy's seat." Meaning it rightfully belonged to another Democrat, and they felt a lowly Republican shouldn't be in it.

I found this part of yesterday's Obama's statement to be quite interesting. "Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes." Everything Obama says is carefully curated. Well spoken slimy lawyer with forked tongue. Just like the claim of "distraction," it communicates nothing about Trump's charges of treason and collusion. I appreciate your analysis. Fascinating!

Of course - because that was your plan, Mr. Obama. You had the media in the palm of your hand. The way you make something "widely accepted" is to get it repeated over and over, like a hypnotist - or a Goebbels. Like "safe and effective".

Widely accepted isn't the same as true or correct, and for some of us, it was always just a story, NOT a conclusion. Some of us that aren't prone to hypnotism, that is...

It’s also “widely accepted” that the Earth rotates on its axis at 1,000+ mph, even though every single experiment ever conducted in history has proven the exact opposite.

“Why do the nations rage

and the peoples plot in vain?

The kings of the earth set themselves,

and the rulers take counsel together,

against YHWH and against his Anointed, saying,

“Let us burst their bonds apart

and cast away their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens LAUGHS;

YHWH holds them in derision.

Then he will speak to them in his wrath,

and terrify them in his fury, saying,

“As for me, I have set my King

on Zion, my holy hill.”

I will tell of the decree:

YHWH said to me, “You are my Son;

today I have begotten you.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,

and the ends of the earth your possession.

You shall break them with a rod of iron

and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

Now therefore, O kings, be wise;

be warned, O rulers of the earth.

Serve the LORD with fear,

and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son,

lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,

for his wrath is quickly kindled.

Blessed are all who take refuge in him.”

Russia’s attempt at interfering in the 2016 election was minimal and entirely ineffective.

Obama, et al, seized on that laughable attempt, and endlessly elevated and promoted the Steele Dossier (originally commissioned by Jeb Bush, and then later sold to Hillary Clinton) to do everything they could to destroy Trump‘s first term, and then further destroy him personally and politically in the intervening four years to keep him out of the running for 2024.

The left is "incapable of seeing that they are being used for evil.” That sounds right to me.

You’re right about the literacy point and swear words. They’re like fine wine, you just need a sip of it here and there to enhance things, not a constant belch of cheap beer falling down the gullet.

Let’s take it in context. You can replace a swear word in a sentence to test. Say if “pigeon” was like the F-word, this is what it will sound like:

The first red flag with Obama was that he isn't a black man, (no matter how hard MSM tried to shove that lie down our throats...) His mother was white, and the woman who raised him, because his black father left... The point being, without any prejudice against Black America, is: You can't be a black man if your mother is white... Obama, at best, is a mixed breed like the majority of us. That is: if he's even a legal American... At the end of the day, Obama's first act as President was to stab his white mother in the back so he could pretend to be something he wasn't... Obama has always been one thing only... and that is, a liar.
