Wow! Just wow. I read your post to my husband and daughter this morning after church as we had our coffee. As disheartening as all of this sounds, I still feel peace in my heart. Even living in a state like Illinois, God is at work in the lives of his people. I invited a woman who I’d never met before to my house for dinner tonight with a group of church women. She seemed like she needed a friend. Our job as Christians is to offer compassion and hospitality in a hurting world. Stay positive and hopeful everyone, and make connections and influence people near you.
