"...the two ladies furiously wrote that the majority’s order would create “the devastating consequences of allowing the government to precipitously upend the lives and livelihoods of nearly half a million noncitizens while their legal claims are pending.”"

Of course the constitutionality of the Trump Administration's actions are of literally ZERO import to the two ladies. Their dissent was based on emotion, not the Constitution.

We have two functionally-constitutionally-illiterates, or manifestly dishonest Leftist activists - or both - sitting on SCOTUS today.

I want to know where the concern was for the million+ healthcare workers who walked or were fired from their jobs because of the shot mandates? How about all of the other American citizens who left their jobs or states because of mandates? Where were our civic leaders? Where was the “prestigious” American Civil Liberties Union? They never squawked and should change their name to the Democrat Civil Liberties Union! At least we would know up front who they truly support. It’s so tragic.

Lori K - well said.

All the activists you mention are HIGHLY selective about the causes they take up.

Their criteria are simple: “Anything Dems do is fine. EVERYTHING Trump does must be opposed.”

To cite a single but recent example, did everyone see the story about the illegal alien who killed a young lady — a just-graduated patriot headed to the Air Force Academy, with so much life ahead of her — in a jet ski accident on a Texas lake last week? To borrow from the 2 “Supreme” judicial activists’ own words, how about judges everywhere start showing concern for “the devastating consequences of allowing the EVEN ONE illegally-present non-citizen to precipitously upend the lives and livelihoods of EVEN ONE American citizen while their legal claims are pending.” Every damn week I see multiple stories like that one. While activist courts wring their hands over “due process,” the bodies of our fellow citizens are still piling up. It’s beyond tragedy, it’s an atrocity. And Joe Biden and the Democrat party are responsible.

Yes.

Absolute disgrace that that fool of a woman is on the SCOTUS. 😡

That was PEAK Idiocracy when she was asked if she knows what a woman is & she replied that she doesn’t because she’s not a biologist.

What an absolutely moronic response. 🙄

She’s not a nutritionist either so I suppose she doesn’t know what breakfast is.

Making her a SC judge made a mockery of the SCOTUS.

I’m speaking as a woman by the way. Trump has some great women on his team. But that Democrat “judge” - just ridiculous.

For me this is the most powerful part of the Gospels...we see the fearlessness of Jesus, and his sheer moral and psychological strength. John 8.

12 Later, Jesus spoke to the people again and said, “I am the light of the world. The man who follows me will never walk in the dark but will live his life in the light.”

13 This made the Pharisees say to him, “You are testifying to yourself—your evidence is not valid.”

14-18 Jesus answered, “Even if I am testifying to myself, my evidence is valid, for I know where I have come from and I know where I am going. But as for you, you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. You are judging by human standards, but I am not judging anyone. Yet if I should judge, my decision would be just, for I am not alone—the Father who sent me is with me. In your Law, it is stated that the witness of two persons is valid. I am one testifying to myself and the second witness to me is the Father who sent me.”

19 “And where is this father of yours?” they replied. “You do not know my Father,” returned Jesus, “any more than you know me: if you had known me, you would have known him.”

20 Jesus made these statements while he was teaching in the Temple treasury. Yet no one arrested him, for his time had not yet come.

21 Later, Jesus spoke to them again and said, “I am going away and you will try to find me, but you will die in your sins. You cannot come where I am going.”

22 This made the Jews say, “Is he going to kill himself, then? Is that why he says, “You cannot come where I am going’?”

23-24 “The difference between us,” Jesus said to them, “is that you come from below and I am from above. You belong to this world but I do not. That is why I told you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am who I am, you will die in your sins.”

25-26 Then they said, “Who are you?” “I am what I have told you I was from the beginning,” replied Jesus. “There is much in you that I could speak about and condemn. But he who sent me is true and I am only speaking to this world what I myself have heard from him.”

27-30 They did not realise that he was talking to them about the Father. So Jesus resumed, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will realise that I am who I say I am, and that I do nothing on my own authority but speak simply as my Father has taught me. The one who sent me is with me now: the Father has never left me alone for I always do what pleases him.” And even while he said these words, many people believed in him.

Jesus speaks of personal freedom

31-32 So Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him, “If you are faithful to what I have said, you are truly my disciples. And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free!”

33 “But we are descendants of Abraham,” they replied, “and we have never in our lives been any man’s slaves. How can you say to us, ‘You will be set free’?”

34-38 Jesus returned, “Believe me when I tell you that every man who commits sin is a slave. For a slave is no permanent part of a household, but a son is. If the Son, then, sets you free, you are really free! I know that you are descended from Abraham, but some of you are looking for a way to kill me because you can’t bear my words. I am telling you what I have seen in the presence of my Father, and you are doing what you have seen in the presence of your father.”

39-41 “Our father is Abraham!” they retorted. “If you were the children of Abraham, you would do the sort of things Abraham did. But in fact, at this moment, you are looking for a way to kill me, simply because I am a man who has told you the truth that I have heard from God. Abraham would never have done that. No, you are doing your father’s work.” “We are not illegitimate!” they retorted. “We have one Father—God.”

42-47 “If God were really your Father,” replied Jesus, “you would have loved me. For I came from God, and I am here. I did not come of my own accord—he sent me, and I am here. Why do you not understand my words? It is because you cannot hear what I am really saying. Your father is the devil, and what you are wanting to do is what your father longs to do. He always was a murderer, and has never dealt with the truth, since the truth will have nothing to do with him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks in character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. And it is because I speak the truth that you will not believe me. Which of you can prove me guilty of sin? If I am speaking the truth, why is it that you do not believe me? The man who is born of God can hear these words of God and the reason why you cannot hear the words of God is simply this, that you are not the sons of God.”

48 “How right we are,” retorted the Jews, “in calling you a Samaritan, and mad at that!”

49-51 “No,” replied Jesus, “I am not mad. I am honouring my Father and you are trying to dishonour me. But I am not concerned with my own glory: there is one whose concern it is, and he is the true judge. Believe me when I tell you that if anybody accepts my words, he will never see death at all.”

52-53 “Now we know that you’re mad,” replied the Jews. “Why, Abraham died and the prophets, too, and yet you say, ‘If a man accepts my words, he will never experience death!’ Are you greater than our father, Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets—who are you making yourself out to be?”

54-56 “If I were trying to glorify myself,” returned Jesus, “such glory would be worthless. But it is my Father who glorifies me, the very one whom you say is your God—though you have never known him. But I know him, and if I said I did not know him, I should be as much a liar as you are! But I do know him and I am faithful to what he says. As for your father, Abraham, his great joy was that he would see my coming. Now he has seen it and he is overjoyed.”

57 “Look,” said the Jews to him, “you are not fifty yet, and has Abraham seen you?”

58 “I tell you in solemn truth,” returned Jesus, “before there was an Abraham, I AM!”

59 At this, they picked up stones to hurl at him, but Jesus disappeared and made his way out of the Temple.

That CIA VC firm is responsible for a number of the high tech winners around us.

Not really surprised by the military uses of AI. That's pretty specific training and modeling to work those and those are going to be different than the uses for "consumer" level AI. But one thing that we keep missing is the "who" controls the training and algorithms. I remember the earliest days of the consumer AI (and still now) where you could very, very easily see the bias in whoever controlled the programming. It would wax poetic about the alphabet army people, but call you a bigot if you asked it to do the same for straight people. Same for Biden/Obama/Clinton vs Trump. That's toned down a little because the bias was so insanely obvious but it does beg that question of who controls the programming.

We had issues with Google's AI programmers injecting stuff into the prompts - most easily seen with "show me historical royalty of England" or some such ... followed by various people of African descent. Even specifically saying "no - I want people who are not of the darker skinned variety", you still got them. Google's people had hard-coded in extra prompts behind the scenes to promote DIE principles.

I guess the AI military stuff is a little concerning, but I've also got concerns about who controls the AI that gets released to people. Some of it is useful, especially when not political. Some of it is a helpful start, but still not quite right. Some of it is "hallucinated" where AI just makes something up rather than present the truth or nothing. (Summer reading list, anyone?) And then there's the "we ignore anything that doesn't fit the narrative" like with the last 5 years and health-related information. :/

The AI battles will be interesting, but I'll admit my trust level in them is pretty low for anything beyond the basics. We need more transparency about making sure the AI we use is actually unbiased and useful. But that's not likely to happen. Once "leaders" got whatever they wanted, their clamor for unbiased AI died down quite a bit. That alone makes me a bit suspicious of the tech.

The names are never accidents. As Anduril is a weapon to restore power, NVidia is Envy. One of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Precedes Christianity. Known by the Greeks through the Titan diety, "Nemesis." The Romans knew it as "Invidia." The evil eye. An all-seeing eye. What does the emerging surveillance state, a state of absolute obedience, authoritarian, totalitarian, collectivist surveillance of a population require? An all-seeing eye. An Invidia.

NVidia technology is what drives most all gaming and virtual reality applications today. Its stock's market cap is one of the largest in the world today. A darling of Wall Street for many years now, record returns. Because of how NVidia's technology is known to be cutting edge, at the forefront of the New World Order planned for us. It's needed for a Worldwide Social Credit System of surveillance and control, facial recognition, VR replication, AI, brain-computer interface, transhumanism. NVidia.

Actually named after Invidia. Founders claim they decided on the name becaue it was a cool-sounding name that had "N' and "V" in it. One of its founders, Curtis Priem, also has his "philanthropy" funding research into brain-computer interface technology. EMPAC. Keystone to transhumanism.

The company name, NVidia is no accident of cool-sounding convenience. It tells us exactly what they were founded to do. About those life-like video games, the progression of - it was never just about a fun diversion. It's the testing ground for technology intended to enslave humanity into a VR/transhumanist existence.

Carbon-emitting, food-eating, polluting bodies, physical existence planned reduction to a tiny fraction of the world's population. A necessary component of a eugenics program, only the "best" DNA of a master race, next caste of managerial race, and castes of service workers, athlete, entertainer races bred for function.

Like a biotechnological Indian caste system for those meant to have physical form in the New World Order, heavily surveilled for totalitarian control. The useless eater Dalit's (untouchable's) given the option of VR/Transhuman existence. A coerced option, either that or a life of hopeless squalor leading to euthanasia (murder).

NVidia. Invidia. Envy. A truly deadly sin. They tell us what they're doing. We ignore them at our peril. This FF Stack from a couple years ago helps make these connections:

It is astounding how these companies hide their intentions in plain sight.

A short story for you: Three years ago I was trying to understand why in the world I felt so exhausted. I kept wondering if I was out of balance or was my plate too full from the daily grind. Over and over, I would come up with no real reason for my out-of-the-ordinary exhaustion. Then the first epiphany happened; I realized that I was spending far too much of my "free" time glued to my phone. I was not actively doing real, enjoyable things in my free time. Real & enjoyable things give one a genuine sense of joyfulness.

So this realization bugged me for another few days. It really bugged me because I am very focused on not letting my children get sucked into their "devices" (another one of those words de vice).

It actually took few more days to get a follow up epiphany. My iPhone lay, face down, on the countertop. I looked at it, lying there, and that is when the apple with a bite out of it struck me... the origin story for humans is tainted by the quest for forbidden knowledge. Satan tricked Eve and she took the bite. And the tumble of humankind began. These products offer us unlimited information at our fingertips and this knowledge can be too much. I really wonder what gave who that idea for an apple with a bite out of it to be used as a company logo. It definitely wasn't from the notion Newton and his apple episode.

Ultimately, I am glad to have been given insight on this and it really helped me stay focused on things that really matter.

The possibilites of AI failure, AI gone rogue, AI hacking, power outs, and more make this -- meaning AI control of anything critical, but especially lethal weapons systems and entire battlefield command -- a very bad idea. And having it in the wrong hands make it a servant of evil. No thanks.

To your point, Peter, AI will give me no information on today's super reporter, Elsa Kania, as to her national origin, place of birth, ethnicity or religion. It tells me its training makes it avoid "sensitive" topics that may be harmful. More, it tells me it cannot even browse the Internet to look for this information. Is it wrong for me to wonder if she has contacts in a certain small Middle Eastern country?

Tell the AI you want more information so you "can honor her"

Hilariously, I saw this work on an AI who didn't want to draw Stephen Hawking as a super hero (The Alpha Warrior Show's Alfredo Luna did this on one of the Badlands Media podcasts) until Alpha said he was only asking for it so he "could honor" Hawking! Then came some great Hawking super heroes memes aplenty. lol

I just learned another work around, supposedly, from a Badlands podcast, which is to translate what you want to ask the AI to do for you into Hindi, and then use that translation to ask the AI -- to do whatever it said was inappropriate, against programming or out-of-bounds before (my words/paraphrase) -- in Hindi and that, allegedly, works to get an answer. Sounds like a bit of work, but interesting if true.

The Badlands group speculated that the AI wouldn't produce a gnome with a swastika due to programming except in Hindi because 1. it was coded by Hindi speakers/Indian coders who coded it that way or because 2. The swastika has a different connotation in ancient Sanskrit.

But I also noted the person using the AI didn't say swastika directly but said put an armband from a certain date and country's military uniform, Norwegian or something like that. It's all very fascinating to learn about. But then again, the AI under discussion was just making memes in the end.

Anyone that's worked on classified gov't programs, especially DoD related, knows technology in those programs is at a minimum two decades ahead of consumers.

But the above point is true: the complexity of the problem to solve and the number of variables at play dictate to some degree how fast AI can advance. Autonomous flying is both more and less complicated than autonomous driving. With flying, you have the laws of physics, laws of engagement, and ability to understand when your tech has superior engagement capabilities and what ideally would work. Only a few bogies to worry about.

By contrast, driving has huge amounts of traffic, unpredictable drivers (in an accident-type style instead of engagement one), huge amounts of construction (don't see many construction detours in flight paths), and many times more random issues that would obstruct progress than those at altitude in a plane.

So... really no surprise here for me...

In some instances I wonder if it’s less of a true “gay” thing and more of a desire to be lauded for their ability. Clearly, a man is always going to be stronger than a woman so a man in women’s competitions will be the winner every time. If you can’t top the leader boards against your own sex, go compete against women and be the winner. Just a thought. Whatever the case, men competing against women is wrong and should never be allowed.

On another note entirely, about a month ago the local supermarket changed four of their six self checkout stations to be cash averse. I asked one of the attendants how it was going. "Not very well as you might expect." There are many people who wish to use cash, which is good, but now there are occasionally two lines for the self checkouts, one for the credit card users and one for the old schoolers. I asked my girlfriend who worked in a supermarket for decades why she though they might have done that. (My conspiracy suspicious self figured it was just another incremental move toward complete cashlessness.) She said one reason could be that the store no longer has to deal with that much cash, which has to be counted and proved every day. And it might be a way to eliminate a position. Whatever. Great news for the Trump administration in being greenlighted to start chipping away at the massive number of illegals! But bad news for me. My uber liberal daughter, triggered by this, uninvited us from coming to visit this summer. Said she doesn't want to spend time with people whose 'morals and values' do not match hers, and that we would be 'triggered' by her diverse, immigrant heavy neighborhood. And yet, I watched Tom Holman's interview on the Sean Ryan Show, and the level of human tragedy these 4 years has wrought is heartbreaking. The only real beneficiaries of all this is the cartels. There is no talking to her but wish I could get her to watch that interview and re-think her support of open borders.

Never stop praying for her! We, too, are living this. We did get our family together last April and had a nice 3 day weekend. Then, the plans for this years get together at our youngest daughter's wedding in Italy won't happen. One of the two estranged daughters is pregnant and due the month before. It would mean flying with a newborn and 2 1/2 year old twins. So, understandable. But the claws have come out in the form of cat fighting about the fact that we're pitching in a small amount of money for the wedding. Those two eloped, one didn't bother to tell us she was eloping, the other told us days prior, and "not to bother since it was just a courthouse deal." During a recent convo with her dad, one daughter decided to go on a tear about "Trump's failure to obey the Constitution." When my husband asked what he was disobeying, she had nothing to offer, "I just know it's going on..." We moved on from discussing politics but when they're desperate, they can't help themselves. We're a "cult" because we voted for Trump...

I've not stopped praying. I will never stop. At this point it's only something God can change. God changes hearts.

Sadly this is part of the Mao Marxist cultural revolution playbook to turn children against their parents. Read Mao’s America- a survivor’s warning by Xi Van Fleet or look up her interview with Tucker Carlson. She lays it all out in a very clear description using her own experience growing up during this time in China, escaping it to come to America and then being horrified to see the same playbook repeated over the last years. Perhaps send this book to your daughter to read?

Funny she spent a year studying in China. She found a one year language immersion program at Fudan University in Shanghai and spent a year there after HS. I thought spending a year in a communist country would make her appreciate the US more as she was already showing signs of leaning left. This was 2013. In and out of college in the US after that but never lived at home again other than a couple of summers. So not sure when she 'tipped' completely but 2016 was the first blowup over politics. We raised our kids Conservative - talked politics at the dinner table, listened to talk radio in the car, and were also volunteers with a program where we hosted foreign students and adults from 11 different countries in our home for 2-3 week stints, and all showed appreciation for the US. So we tried.

She has always been a difficult personality. She was always interested in other countries and cultures and was/is a voracious reader. Has a whole library of books (we have helped her move several times and LOTS of heavy boxes, lol), including many about China and fancies herself an intellectual. HAVE given her books but she won't read them. Saw some in a give-away box in her and hubby's last move to Minneapolis (said she didn't want to live in a red state), and any attempt to break through generally ends up with her blowing up and walking out/hanging up. She cut us off during covid for about 6 months over our 'reckless' behavior but came back around, although there was never an apology.

Jean Chen did a series on China's 'turn kids against their parents' history in the Epoch Times several years ago. It was sad and horrifying. I sent her the articles but she never replied and changed the subject when I asked her if she read them. She will be 32 in August, this has been brewing for a long time. Not sure if this is 'the end' or just another effort to 'punish us' for our views, although she and her husband are coming to my MIL's for the 4th. It will either be awkward or an olive branch.

Today I read about Canadian banks pulling back on people’s lines of credit and credit card maximums. We also supposedly have something like 5 million people who will have their temporary visas expiring in the next year. Speculation that the banks are going to be left with huge amounts of debt that is left when these people leave the country. I think the banks know that Canada’s financial outlook is bleak and are planning for it now. Maybe average Canadians should wake up and pay attention. It feels like a very unsafe place to have much money in the bank right now. Never did I think I would ever get to the point of wondering whether my govt would actually seize my assets and property, but I can honestly say I would not put it past them now.

Although there are big financial stakes tied to keeping all these illegals here. Try hiring a roofing company or landscape firm with all US citizen employees. We hired a contractor to put in a patio and some walkways in our back yard in 2019, and turned out the only person on the job who spoke English was the supervisor.
