This is not complicated. If Europe doesn’t want a peace deal, let them pay for the war. Trump should stop all assistance to Ukraine and give the Europeans the keys to Kiev.

I think Trump should hand every member of the entourage a packet filled with evidence that they're hoarding money for their own benefit, shipping it to accounts overseas, and threaten to expose it to everyone and their mothers before they land back at home if they don't stop prepping up their graft- ridden war.

There may be much more to this fight than the outward struggle over such relatively small trifles of U.S. aid. Large trading ports are the engines of empire, and a historical review of the rise and fall of such centers of commerce as post-Renaissance Venice and 16th century Antwerp and their relationship to the decline of various Mediterranean power centers and, later, the Spanish empire, respectfully, are instructive. China’s Belt and Road Initiative and now India’s integration into the western economic sphere (there’s a reason why 110,000 Indians cheered Trump in the world’s largest cricket stadium in 2020 after he and Modi announced trade deals) both mean that the center of European commerce may move away, at least in significant proportion, from places like Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Hamburg (notice how they’re all situated around the center of the EU’s emerald city?) in favor of south-eastern European ports and, especially, warm-water ports on the Black Sea such as the (currently) Ukrainian Port of Odessa. Russia, having a major power presence in and on the Black Sea, including Odessa, stands to gain from the “new” (I.e. newly important) trade routes up through the Bosporus (along with Turkey, Romania, Hungary, et al) at the expense of Western Europe—the EU. I suspect this is the real struggle behind the scenes and the stakes—trillions of dollars—makes the $300 billion in aid to Ukraine trinkets by comparison. To this one can add the centuries-long legacy of European rent-seeking as a fundamental tenant of their economic theories and one can see why Western European leaders are anxious.

Expand full comment
Reasonable Horses's avatar

Makes good sense. Considering the wealth Western Europe has already sucked out of the US, the Middle East, Africa, New Spain, the Spice Islands, and everywhere else, they shouldn’t need our help. Considering two world wars, hotspots constantly smoldering in their backyard, and their rotting culture, we don’t need their help. Isolationism can’t work anymore, but until we get a better deal, we’d be wise to keep them at arm’s length, literally in both ways.

Wonderful historical context to frame the discussion. There are depths to this entire operation that no one knows.

This is also shutting down the corrupt hub of the NWO. Ukraine is the epicenter of some major Bio-lab and Bio-weapon activity. During a Congressional hearing, Victoria Nuland let a major cat out of the bag when she said the US has 46 Bio-labs in Ukraine. Why are their 46 US Bio-labs in a war torn unstable country?

Then there is the bottomless pit of money laundering. Sam Bankman Freid was just the tip of the iceberg. Shutting down USAID was another step in the right direction.

Lastly, the worst of all, Ukraine is a child and adult trafficking hub serving the most despicable clientele in the world. If you know, you know. If you don't know, then it's probably better you don't.

All this needs to be cleaned up so Ukraine can return to actually being a truly independent country instead of being a playground for some of the most disgusting "people" on the planet. The Ukrainian people must be saved from the corruption that had controlled its existence since 2014.

OK. Anyone remember the 100 year war? This is the remake. Putin will never withdraw from his present positions in Ukraine. Never. As things now stand, Ukraine will sacrifice every male over the age of 14 over the next few years to maintain their defensive front. If this abomination ever ends, it will be ended with Russia sitting approximately where the lines are drawn now. This is the exact scenario that could have been set in 2022. Except in 2022, Russia would have settled for pseudo control of eastern Ukraine and a guarantee of no NATO membership for Kiev. A million dead Russians and Ukrainians would ask WTF? if only they could still be heard.

President Trump wants the war to end to stop the killing and our waste of billions of dollars in funding it, and the euros. It should have never started and Resident Autopen Cabbage and the euros and our own deepstate assholes and uniparty grifters like lindsey graham- have full responsibility. The euros need to keep the war/killing going in order lavish themselves in our money. The euros also need the war to continue so they can continue to proclaim their liberal leadership by beta males and women who wish they had penises but still think in grey scale about everything. Remember, it is this group of clowns who tell us orange man bad and Putin is a murderous thug. Why is that?

How about a non-aggression security guarantee? If Ukraine and the penis pianist and the euros provoke a battle let alone another war - as determined by the US - the guarantee is off. The euros also must put boots on the ground on the borders as peace keepers and they must pay for it, not the US as we need to be done paying for their aggression(s) against each other - it doesnt have to be a forever commitment, especially if Russia gets to keep the land bridge they want to Crimea - perhaps a 2 year commitment - if peace is holding they can begin removing troops and be all done in 4-5 years? If Russia starts something (Putin wont as long as there is strong leadership in the White House), the Euros must engage. Because of our commitment to NATO, the Euros could request and get American blood and treasure. As much as I don't like NATO it is important in maintaining peace, not in causing wars - and POTUS finally has them paying their damn fair share.

I agree with Doohmax above, there is no circumstance - no circumstance - where Putin is going to give up the land bridge he built, he needs it to keep those lines of communication open into the Black sea and therefore the Mediterranean. There are two straits which connect the Black Sea to the Med. These create really nasty choke points for Russian naval ships to traverse if they are up to no good, they are sitting ducks in those straits. But, it certainly opens up the southern sea lanes for commerce with Russia.

I had a chance to put my conspiratorial mettle to the test this weekend with an old acquaintance?... Known person?..Friend?...I'm not even sure how I would classify our relationship. By all accounts a good guy…friendly, gregarious, hospitable, reasonably intelligent despite several years of schooling at an Ivy League brainiac hole, well-spoken, etc… In short, he checks all the boxes that approximate earthly normalcy….whatever that means. Ah, but as sure as it rains on every parade I organize removing this lustrous tightly knit book jacket and examining its hidden contents uncovered another creature altogether. (To be clear, in our sporadic get-togethers in times past we've not so much as tip-toed into the bottomless, byzantine realms of politics and other such taboos....besides that would just look weird.). For reasons best left to higher authorities that was not the case on this particular meet up.

Sadly, it became apparent - after careful and subtle inquiry - despite 4 years of the Biden crime syndicate’s in-your-face hellish decrees and sickening handiwork, that this mundane garden variety russet eyeballing me from across the table - pleasant as he may be - was hopelessly swirling about with just one slightly damaged garage sale canoe paddle confidently plunged in the wretched, insufferable, spiraling inky black waters of the democratic party suck-hole of despair and misery. Further probing exposed a disturbing amalgamation of legacy media confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance (the most exasperating of all the dissonances) of the likes not seen in recent history.

And hey, what would an incursion into politics be without touching on other recent matters of importance? God knows how we breached the subject, but we got on about the pharmaceutical “merchants of mayhem” and how they’ve paid out billions in fines due to fraud, corruption, bribery, kickbacks and my personal favorite…hiding safety data over the years...a fact that he did not/could not dispute. Despite this pertinent and startling information his stance on “following the SCIENCE” and its fresh iteration of “dingus shots for the masses” is right in line with the thought process of every other MSM vacuum packed chucklehead……Criminy, wanker down! “just one slightly damaged garage sale canoe paddle” 🤣

Agree. I am finding there are those family members with whom there continued a loving amicable relationship post peak-covid (despite our vast covidic differences), but now it is starting to wear thin. Even though we may have thought we had end-run the difficulties, alas, ‘twas not so. It has, in many circumstances, morphed now to a whack-a-mole relationship. The contentious bits keep popping up. We too often are tempted to sidestep them (quickly changing the subject) or grind our teeth in silence.

There is a quirky general assumption out there that everyone agrees with the mainstream covidic dogma, so it is safe to speak comfortably amongst acquaintances, friends and family on their favourite “trust the science” topic. Polite souls who would never have entered into controversy now insert this new dogma into conversation, even while they may know a listener holds opposing views. It is as if they can’t stop themselves. It oft commences with, “I know we disagree on this but …” and they plunge forward.

There is the wise pedagogical statement, “repetitio est mater studiorum” - repetition is the mother of learning. While we despair of reaching them with logic, reason, and stats, and loathe the fractious confrontations, we are obliged to make the effort. Why? It may be that one added building block of repetition that tips the scales. Truth is power, and truth will out.

So kudos to you. Your efforts may eventually bear fruit. And, of course, kudos once again to C&C.

It’s all so wackadoodle bizarre to me...maddening really. (One of the hallmarks of cognitive dissonance from the perspective of the witness). Given the recognition of widespread malfeasance being thrust upon an unsuspecting public perhaps a more cautious approach to the subject of “vaccines” would/should have been expected, if not totally obvious - at least to a person keen on self-preservation. For example, recoiling into an “I object until further inquest” defensive position - would have been a sober alternative to: “What’s the TV say?!”...or “Let ‘er rip, where’s my free donut?!” Lemmings will be lemmings, I suppose……affability be damned. I guess we all trusted the CDC, WHO, and the others at some point. I know I did. I kinda sorta vaxxed our 3 kids until they did the hard sell for the new (at the time) HPV Gardisil vaccine. Thank GOD I never caved, as Gardisil is one of the most harmful vaccines and supposedly prevents one of the easiest cancers to cure.

Nevertheless, I continued my

Yats was the guy the US installed in 2014, then Poroshenko.

Zelensky was elected in 2019 on a "peace with Donbass" platform. He got the overwhelming majority of the vote, although the citizens in the east were not allowed to vote. Because, you know.....democracy.

The US choice was for Poroshenko to be re-elected, but Ukrainians wanted peace.

So there was a period when the US showed Zelensky who was boss. They went after his billionaire benefactor first, using lawfare to target him, and strip him of his assets.

Then they turned loose the Azov and Right Sector thugs, who rioted in the streets like it was a 2020 BLM riot in Ukraine.

Zelensky's bodyguards took the week off, and Azov threatened his life.

These are all publicly known. Just who showed up in a dark suit and informed Z that he was now the property of the USA is not known.

What is known is that Zelensky has been mostly obedient since that time. I assume they also keep him well-supplied with the white powder he (and the other EU puppets) seem to prefer.

Ah a fellow traveler.

I did that too. I was scolded at the hardware store by a ridiculous woman. I was scolded at the grocery store for ignoring their ridiculous arrows on the floor. I was scolded at the recycling center for wearing a mask that read: "Raised Right". I was given an oh so scolding look when voting at the mid terms and handing in my red ballot.

Now i go out of my way to give it back in spades. I was called a rino at a dinner party. It did not end well for that NYTs worshipping harpy who came after me. She found herself w a tiger by the tail. I left her (figuratively) bloodied.

I'm done. I don't apologize or hold my tongue. My friend's daughter isn't going to be allowed to fly airplanes for Delta bc of that plane crash in Toronto. Good. She did not earn it (DEI).

It is like the trans issue to me now. If you believe a lie, such as men can have babies and Joe Biden was not a crook and not failing mentally, then there is no reasoning w you and my life is now in the new paradigm with wonderfully fresh air.

Why did we save Europe not once, but twice? Now, it looks like they want us to save them a third time. The leaders in those countries make me sick. They orchestrate the invasion of muslims, yet pretend to want to protect themselves from evil: Russians. The inmates have escaped the asylums and are running everything. The movie "Le Roi de Coeur," the King of Hearts, 1966, is not satire, it's a documentary. Sacre bleu!

Jeff, you’re right. The EU “leaders” pretend to care so much about Ukraine’s borders - but have zero respect for their own borders.

I will bet most of them had hardly any idea where Ukraine was before 2022. They’re just using it for their crazy agenda of dismantling Russia.

I’m in Europe. The “leaders” are almost all AWFUL. Unelected Von der Leyen & Macron are would-be tyrants.

Starmer’s jailing people for opinions he dislikes.

They’re all WEAK thoroughly bossy individuals, not very intelligent, with contempt for the people - but unfortunately they’ve got into positions of power & abuse that power continually.

The EU explicitly wants to break Russia into pieces - absurd; it means they WANT WW3. They’re too stupid even to think that through.

They have NOTHING to offer at the White House today. They just want more war, which they can’t even fund.

So they’re going in the hope they can persuade Trump to keep supplying arms.

That and the simple embarrassing fact that these political pigmies feel important if they can strut around telling their acquaintances that they’re meeting the POTUS. They’re narcissists and will be puffed up with arrogance to see photos of themselves in their media.

Hopefully Trump will treat them like the thoroughly unimpressive mediocrities they are. He’ll probably be nice to them - that’s just diplomacy - but, really, let’s hope he puts them firmly in their place.
