The Martha's Vineyard liberals remind me of this quote from the Brothers Karamazov: "The more I love humanity in general the less I love man in particular." They sure love migrants.... in theory, not in real life, and as far away and least demanding of them personally as possible. It's wholly imaginary virtue.

Reminds me of the old 1960s Phils Ochs song, β€œLove me, I’m a liberal” Look up the words, so true and I am a former liberal turned De Santis fan. Liberals are roughly those who are β€œten degrees to the left of center in good times, and ten degrees to the right of center when it affects them personally.” YEP!!

No amount of smearing and backpedalling will change the reality of this. They even accused DeSantis of "human trafficking" which they claim might be illegal. They may want to reconsider pressing that point too hard lest the more astute observers in the flock draw attention to all the midnight flights containing undocumented migrant MINORS all over the country....Come to think of it maybe we SHOULD draw attention to it!

"The Brothers Karamazov" Dostoevsky's Inspiration for Social Distancing for the love of "Humanity"

β€œI love humanity . . . but I can’t help being surprised at myself: the more I love humanity in general, the less I love men in particular, I mean, separately, as separate individuals. In my dreams . . . I am very often passionately determined to save humanity, and I might quite likely have sacrificed my life for my fellow-creatures, if for some reason it has been suddenly demanded of me, and yet I’m quite incapable of living with anyone in one room for two days together, and I know that from experience. As soon as anyone comes close to me, his personality begins to oppress my vanity and restrict my freedom. I’m capable of hating the best men in twenty-four hours: one because he sits too long over his dinner, another because he has a cold in the head and keeps blowing his nose. But, on the other hand, it invariably happened that the more I hated men individually, the more ardent became my love for humanity at large.”

I’ll tell a little story…private k-12 school in manhattan with @50k tuition and famous actors, musician’s kids attending. A colleague of mine sent their kids there for 7 yrs (do the math), then moved to the suburbs for the oldest to start 7th grade. Parents lamented how hard public school was. My child went to a nearby manhattan parochial school (inexpensive), moved to burbs at the same time, and found same public school to be a joke it was so easy. A few years later, the fmly private school kid was in danger of failing out of public hs so parents switched to boarding school.

Question if rich liberals are just made thick from an absolute crap education paid for by parents who drank the prestige kool-aid

May those who do evil be exposed and brought to justice, and may those of us who claim Christ walk in the Light. And may He raise up a great army of those whose deeds are inspired and empowered by God Most High.

β€œThis is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

To the people who work hard every single day to put food on their tables and clothes on their kids back and a roof over their heads. To those that pay their taxes! THAT would be justice. Followed by a slammed jail cell door behind those criminals as they cozy into their new home.

I just don’t have the faith that will be the outcome. Unfortunately, history shows once they stow it away in their offshore accounts they are never held accountable for their crimes, nor do they pay restitution. Poof. The money is somehow gone.

I hope I’m wrong.

Expand full comment

Regardless of your concerns about them cheating again, which they will, the one thing they can’t do is accurately plan for how many GOP voters show up *in person on Election Day to cast ballots.*

This is why it is so very important to show up at your correct location and cast your ballot on β€œgame day.” Not before; and not by mail. (The ordinary exceptions apply.)

The other thing that is happening is a significant increase in local action across the country: poll workers, observers, canvassers. And, some counties have shut down β€œthe machines”.

I do believe there will be more scrutiny.

If we lose this election there is nothing to stop the radical depraved inhuman agenda.

If we win, We the People must then hold our elected officials’ feet to the fire to investigate, impeach, defund the bureaucracy, and publicize/message constantly. Overwhelm their voice mails and email inboxes with our voices. Then we stand a chance of stopping the train, and through subsequent actions, implement the Constitutional agenda that favors the human beings in our great republic.

We must always remember that local elections matter. Local involvement matters. I have a much longer set of thoughts in this regard...developing since the 1980s...but not for this comment.

I bet DeSantis has, though my own opinion, and possibly DeSantis', too, is that I hope Trump runs and wins and completes his term and that DeSantis stays as Florida Governor for the next 4 years, then has 2 clear years to run for President in 2028. The real fight right now is at the state level. If states fully exercised the powers they are authorized under the Constitution, we wouldn't have nearly so great a federal problem.

I LOVE what DeSantis is doing in/for FL and wish more governors were like him, i.e. exercising state power/federalism as he does. I am not sure that he is 100% MAGA because of the wealthy GOPe donors showering him with money. I prefer "politicians" supported by grassroots small donations who refuse PAC/dark money. Knowing all the facts and basing opinions on that is better than being a mushroom, which doesn't make one anti-DeSantis. At this juncture, if something happens to PDJT, DeSantis is the obvious stand-in, but 2024 is a long way off and there are other rising stars who may work out better down the road.

I use the LastQuake app, which shows what is occurring all around the globe.

Even though there are small things that look like our side might be making strides; the bottom line is that if and when the Democrats cheat in the November elections and in the 2024 election we are doomed. This needs to be priority #1, stopping the cheat. More people need to get on board with figuring out how to stop the liberals from cheating in elections. Until that problem is solved nothing else matters. Nothing at all.

Meantime, vote red in person on Election Day in such overwhelming numbers that they can’t alter the machines in any way that’s believable.

How did Kari Lake get where she is now? Turnout on Election Day.

Whoops. Ms Lake also worked extremely hard, door to door on the ground for months and months.

DeSantis is raising big money walk street donations, which appeared magically when he vanished around the Mar a Lago raid. He resurfaced with a new team, big cash and a national campaign (for state office) as the "acceptable" Trump alternative. I liked him, but he's been co-opted by the establishment. Beware.

I'm slightly more wary of Crist. Not much to contemplate on election day. I have no interest in living in California.

Can you please explain how DeSantis has been co-opted by the establishment? Just trying to understand your view.

The guy who removes masking and forbids making the spicy cold shot mandatory isn't being co-opted.

The first link is just a one-liner opinion from a Never Trumper, so who cares, frankly.

Re the second link, here are two descriptions of the big-money donations to Trump in the 2020 cycle, and I'd also point out that Gov. DeSantis forced the legislature into a special session on homeowners insurance after they refused to adequately address it in session.

Do you know what came of that for home owners insurance in Florida? Cuz ours doubled. Everyone I hear from is in the same boat. Ins companies pulled out of Florida under claims of fraud last year. So our choices got a lot fewer and rates were driven up. People are struggling in Florida with property taxes doubling last year and insurance doing the same. I don’t see any relief coming any time soon. Florida is great. But it’s getting hard to pay the mortgages with all the increases.

Thanks. Ya. Not enough. It actually left me more discouraged than encouraged. State insurance. Ugh. That’s what we need. More government running the show. I kept hearing about citizens ins. Didn’t know it was state insurance.

I'm not taking any sides in arguments over DeSantis/Trump as the GOP POTUS candidate in 2024. Each brings a strong portfolio of strengths and experiences to the table. Those portfolios differ at many points. One hopes and prays we maggot voters will have the chance to decide who of those two is the best fit for the job AS IT IS CONFIGURED in 2024.

Its Conservative Tree House's Sundance - I don't know... I know the Citizen Free Press guy will NOT allow links to CTR's website in comments....

Expand full comment

I recommend you go back to the CTH archives.

I started following Sundance with some of skepticism while still on Tw in 2020, then I began reading his posts, then I started looking at his archives. I still reserve some skepticism but he’s the one that really convinced me about the Uniparty, and the fourth branch of government.

Viewing current events through his take is quite interesting. And yes, funding is entirely through donations + he has done everything possible to ensure any cyber nastiness doesn’t compromise his work/site/comments section (my lingo not the best, I am not fluent in digital-speak).

I wonder why. Sundance's research and linked sourcing is unimpeachable.

Citizen Free Press is good BUT its unclear WHO is funding that site as there are no ads and Kane seems to at least have a political-media background and must have a connection to $... I don't know about Sundance's background or source of funding....

Always follow the money, if you can! Sundance is solely funded by Treeper donations.

Expand full comment

Really? Because most of the CTR articles I’ve read came DIRECTLY from links that Kane himself put on CFP. I read it all day every day and have since about 2020. I haven’t seen one recently but I know for a fact he’s done it many times.

Expand full comment

Maybe he's stopped linking to it as I have not seen links to CTR on there? Also, have you tried posting a comment on CFP with a link to CTR? Not sure if Kane has stopped outbound links in comments as his site was taking on bad spam in the past...

Expand full comment

That’s a possibility. Have you tried linking on his daily open thread? That’s usually where readers link the stories they’d like to see on CFP and where I put my occasional suggestion. He will post those if he sees one he missed and likes. Kane does take donations from readers only I have contributed many times. He usually has a fund raiser once a year or so. He never takes a day off.

Oh yea, I forgot - he has done fund raisers... I just like his site for the same reason I liked Drudge as its clean - just headline links with no distracting graphics...

I think he's smarter than to be co-opted by the establishment. If he's not, then he's not the person we want.

We switched from Gmail to Proton Mail when we changed our status from US Citizen to US National. They're based out of Switzerland and it's a totally encrypted email service. They offer something else as similar to Google drive for storing documents and calendar and a VPN.

US Nationals don't have to pay federal income tax so it's good to get off Google services so they don't watch all your communication data.

I just want to give credit to the creator of the cartoon illustration that Musk popularized by retweeting it. His name is Colin Wright and he had planned to become an academic in the field of evolutionary biology (I think that's right), but he became unhireable when he publicly stated that there are only two sexes. Career over. Now he writes and tries to spread the radical news of the two sexes to anyone that will listen. Triggernometry podcast just did a talk with him, if anyone wants to check him out. I just like for people to get proper credit when they make something.
