Off subject WS…you made a comment a while back to me about using bentonite clay for your pets. I believe it was for flea and tick and heart worm. Is that correct? And, what brand do you use for it? We live in Florida which is mosquito heaven - so I can’t leave our dog to risk it. I want her off the commercial stuff but I hesitate without knowing a bit more information about it…….how effective is it in a climate like ours etc etc. Any info to pass on?

Expand full comment
Willing Spirit's avatar

Vulsa Botanicals is the brand I use. It’s food grade Calcium Bentonite Clay. I order it from Amazon and have used it for my dog and two cats for a couple of years now. I learned about it when searching YouTube for natural ways to deworm cats. Cutest young girl doing the video, which I can’t find again. She added that the clay would also kill fleas.

I have not seen a flea or any sort of parasite since beginning a few years ago. I figure fleas hop on, but they must die very soon after biting. It dries up their insides or something.

My dog is about 65 lbs. I put about a quarter teaspoon in her food, which she gets twice daily.

I am a native Floridian and am in my 8th decade living here. Vets here make a huge issue of heart worms; very scary talk.

I grew up on a farm and there were always dogs around. These were outdoor dogs in the country-no mosquito spraying trucks. No vet visits. But I never saw one with the symptoms of heart worms.

Just to say, I think it is a hyped issue to keep customers for vets. Not to say it doesn’t happen, I just think it’s a lot rarer than they would have you believe. That said, I certainly understand how you want to protect your dog.

There are other videos on YouTube and other information available online. We are the daring people who use alternative methods.

I, myself, am doing my best to keep my pets away from the conventional veterinarians and their treatments. We’re all doing very well so far.

And the vets in this big city charge like brain surgeons.

Expand full comment
Sunnydaze's avatar

Thank you! I abhor the vet and only go for those two things. She’s on the county radar for rabies shot because of the need for those two things. She’s 4 1/2 and has had 2 shots. Against our will. So if I can get rid of the need to go in for those two things…. 😉 then maybe I won’t need to go in at all….

I bought some Bentonite calcium clay. Food grade. I just haven’t tried it yet as I hadn’t researched the flea tick heart worm issue.

I grew up on a farm as well and always had dogs and never remember heart worm as an issue. Fleas yes! Our dog had bad fleas. 😖 I don’t want them on our dog 😂

I’m ready to be the daring ones too and try alternatives. I’ve been working to get off the merry go round for years.

Thanks for the info!

What part of Fl? I’m in central. I meet up with someone from SWFL and she and I have gotten to be good friends over the last two years. Also met in person 2 other ladies who live in other states but come to Fl for various reasons. Met all on C&C. If you’re interested in a possible meet up some time. If not, no worries.

Sunny Daze, I am planning to report to county my adopted kitten passed away from Cardio Myopathy heart defect suddenly. So sorry, no longer have her. To avoid the county licence rules, I try to stretch out the jabs to as few as possible every 3rd year to 4th with cats. I have one little girl only jabs shes gotten maybe 5 in her life including the rabies jabs and she is going on 18 now, with diminshed kidneys (on sub Q fluids). But still, amazingly good for cats nowadays.

Expand full comment
Karen Bandy's avatar

Will your county accept a titer instead of a rabies shot? Note, there are different labs with different prices, so you might have to shop around.

Our regular vet quoted somewhere around $400 and my natural vet said there are some labs who charge much less, around half that.

Expand full comment
Willing Spirit's avatar

That’s a lovely invite, but these days I stick close to home on the NE coast. You sound like fun folks, though.

My previous dog, Indy, got tagged by the county for rabies shot updates. Crazy thing was he had one shot as a young pup and because of a bad reaction, he never got another. In fact, he was an incredibly healthy big dog mix and didn’t see a vet for 14 more years. Then he developed these big gross warts and I made the mistake of taking him to a vet to see if anything could be done. Long story short, I ended up getting rid of his warts with bloodroot ointment, but the vet strong armed me into accepting a rabies shot. A year later, I got a letter from the ‘authorities’ directing that he get an updated shot unless I returned a form stating that he was now deceased or I no longer owned him. I didn’t want to jinx him, so I checked the ‘no longer own’ box and that ended that.

By some fortunate circumstances, my present pets are not trackable, thank God!

Do my great sorrow I’ve never been able to relocate the YouTube video I watched that spoke of deworming with Bentonite Clay and added that it also would kill fleas.

And all I know is that it has worked for me for a couple of years now. No more costly Frontline.

Diatomaceous earth (food grade)is a similar product and I found videos about using it for parasites. When you think about it, that’s what fleas and ticks are; external parasites.

And I’ve read about spreading non food grade diatomaceous earth on the ground to kill fleas.

Both bentonite clay and diatomaceous earth are fascinating to read about and many health benefits for people and animals are claimed.

And internal parasites. It dries out their bodies. Food grade. About half a teaspoon daily for my 65 lb. dog. For the two cats I mix a tablespoon into a three pound bag of dry food, which takes about 2 weeks for consumption since I also feed them some Fancy Feast and Temptations.

I dump the dry food into a big plastic container, add the clay, put the lid on and roll the container this way and that until the clay is well blended in.

Sunny, sorry to butt in but you might check into oils for your dog. Young Living oils has a pet line and I’m pretty sure they have a flea and tick oil. There are other brands that I now use, but not sure if they have pet-safe products.

It was hilarious when one senator or another asks about a time where Hegseth spearheaded innovation. He forcefully and eloquently tells a story about an organization he founded for veterans...then suddenly the questioner realizes he stepped on a rake.......

Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Let's not forget that there are those who are sowing wheat, as well as those sowing tares.

The Parable of the Weeds

24 He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, 25 but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds[c] among the wheat and went away. 26 So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. 27 And the servants[d] of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

The Parable of the Weeds Explained

36 Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.” 37 He answered, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. 40 Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, 42 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

----

As for those who HAVE done the things of which you speak and so created a narrative and reputational stigma in such respects for our nation or any other as a whole, we are on the cusp of having the potential to see our perceived place in the world change in relation to it and them.

AND because things MUST change (what has been going on is not sustainable), they will.

In God's timing, which is perfect. It is not His will that any should perish and go to hell... but just because He is patient does not mean that He is not a just and righteous God. He will do justice against those who do not repent. (Ps. 7:11-16)

2 Peter 3:8-10

English Standard Version

8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,[a] not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies[b] will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.[c]

2 Peter 3:9 Some manuscripts on your account

2 Peter 3:10 Or elements; also verse 12

2 Peter 3:10 Greek found; some manuscripts will be burned up

----

Numbers 23:19

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

2 Timothy 2

23 Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. 24 And the Lord's servant[e] must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

Rethinking next-generation vaccines for coronaviruses, influenzaviruses, and other respiratory viruses

Anthony S. Fauci

https://www.cell.com/cell-host-microbe/fulltext/S1931-3128(22)00572-8

"Such approaches might include prime-boost approaches, for example, mixing elicitation of systemic and mucosal immunity, perhaps with prime systemic vaccination followed by a boost with intranasal vaccination or vice versa. Beyond intranasal vaccination, we will need to more fully explore responses to vaccination in other respiratory immune compartments, such as eye-drop conjunctival vaccination and particularly aerosol vaccination for certain respiratory viruses, as suggested by human and animal experimental studies for influenza and other respiratory viral diseases."

Most likely aerosolized delivery method will be misting devices like you see on restaurant patios during the summer. Perhaps in a chamber of some kind that you step through to pass into a facility. Take the body scanners at TSA airport checkpoints and add a misting nozzle to the front where you face, a nice refreshing scented mist...with a "safe and effective" 'vaccine'!

The misting 'vaccine' can also be used to "boost" (software update) the first mRNA platform shot (hardware) most already took. All of it bypassing consent, declaring vaccination a 'greater good' that overcomes 'inequity' in access to them, which is the same exact rationalization/justification as used to put fluoride in water. That eighty years later is found to be dangerous...then slowly communities react to and take out...after the damage is done.

Others leaders who spoke out were simply removed from their positions. “The Navy has fired a dozen leaders but won't explain why.” “A total of 13 commanding officers have been fired so far this year, including five in one week, the Navy said.” Read in NBC News: https://apple.news/A2s7rtAM5TUi9YqTUIt3lxA

It's worse than that. The last clinical trial for a mRNA upper respiratory "vaccine" conducted at UTMB in Galveston, TX halted early due to safety reasons. In it, they explained they saw exactly the same mRNA failures that all prior trials had shown. The conclusion was, any human trials should stay alert for safety signals that, if finally overcome, would allow the potential a chance to be realized.

EVERY mRNA "vaccine" trial had same safety signals as that trial. Exact same ones occurred with this "no of billions" trial (not double blinded, no placebo except true bloods that refused the juice).

They rolled the dice, hoping or thinking the mandate would eliminate the control (true bloods) and censorship would prevent actually safe and effective treatments from becoming known by the masses).

So, they oofed and we will finally benefit, albeit with a heavy, heavy price.

I say draw and quarter the leaders. Charge $150 PPV, and you'll likely eliminate the deficit and have money to share with those harmed.

Just a reminder - and I'm sure many C&C'ers already know this - but the current Sec. of Defense (the fearless, mask-wearing, face shield donning) Lloyd Austin was confirmed by a vote of 93 v. 2 with 5 abstentions. It's incredible that the vote for Hegseth will be strictly along party lines yet somehow the Rs are tagged as the "obstructionists."

Re: Lipid nanoparticles.

And they do not break down in contrast dyes used in MRIs.

"As the contrast agents break down, the gadolinium is trapped in insoluble nanoparticles within cells and therefore is not flushed out through the urine as intended."

So, it is not just the covid shots. Obviously "insoluble" nanoparticles are a feature, not an anomaly. Scroll down to 5th paragraph for the very important warning.

Yes. The old school vaccines had adjuvants added to "provoke immune response". Basically a toxin added to make your body react to it (attempt to remove it) that they call immune response(it's not). But the new mRNA shots need no added adjuvants as the lipid nanoparticles alone are toxic enough to provoke the response.

“And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”

It’s amazing to me. He could have said that He would visit the sins of the wicked to a thousand generations, but in His mercy limited it to 3-4 generations. And His mercies, since they are new EVERY morning, those caught in a generational curse can choose to break that curse at any point.

His mercy makes this old heart rejoice.

The great shadow does seem to have lifted. While the Houston area will always have bad traffic, my drive to work and home the last couple of months has been strangely calm. Instead of drivers taking unsafe chances and practically pushing other cars out of their way, there is a new relaxed feel, compared to the last few years. At first I thought it was the holidays. But we are past the holidays now and I’m still having a fairly peaceful drive to work and home. Can it be that people feel hope and January 20 is just around the corner?

In the last few years, drivers have been, for lack of a better word, impatient. Impatient isn’t strong enough. A couple of months ago I had to move onto the shoulder because the truck behind me was going around me whether there was room or not. He was going about 90 mph. The driver in the other lane also had to move onto the other shoulder. It was nuts out there! Thank goodness we were paying attention.

I love the Gandolf quote. I think it encapsulates what we are feeling as a nation and as a world. I also love this quote from Under the Tuscan Sun:

“This house had been waiting for us. I believe that we were supposed to find it, meant to restore its beauty, and life. We needed it as much as it needed us. It was a mutual redemption, a partnership of hope.”

For me, this reflects a deep sense of connection, renewal, and the joy of finding a place to call home, similar to the sense of relief and joy in Gandalf's quote from "The Hobbit."

FINALLY! I feel like I can call America home again. As in a home that brings warmth, comfort, safety, and belonging. A new day is daunting, and I, for one, could not be happier!
