Fluoride: the highly toxic industrial waste product that needed a home, so they sold it to hapless municipalities who then dumped it in the tap water. Sounds like a sound business solution from the dark triads that run the corporations. Have fun in hell guys.

Speaking of hell, this goes out to all you wretched warmongers in Washington rattling your sabers to spark WWIII just before the changing of the guard:

You smug faced crowds with kindling eye

Who cheer when soldier lads march by

Sneak home and pray you’ll never know

The hell where youth and laughter go

— Siegfried Sassoon, Suicide in the Trenches

—-

You fasten all the triggers for the others to fire

Then you set back and watch while the death count gets higher

You hide in your mansion while the young people's blood

Flows out of their bodies and is buried in the mud

Let me ask you one question is your money that good?

Will it buy you forgiveness? Do you think that it could?

I think you will find, when your death takes its toll

All the money you made will never buy back your soul

—Bob Dylan, Masters of War

—-

The tragedy of war is that the young men and women die fighting each other - rather than their true enemies back home in their capitals. —Edward Abbey

Speaking of "protest" where is the outcry for the lack of help for the people in Western North Carolina?? Tennessee? It gets COLD up there. These people do not have a place to live other than tents..not heated. I suggest that as the Biltmore is open that as many people as can fit, quiet a large number, be moved into it. They will be warm, not sleeping on the ground in tents..will have bathroom facilities and put of the rain and snow. Absolutely shameful that Biden admission had the gaul to send more money overseas and not help NC and TN. Not to mention the housing that has been given to the illegals, money, credit cards, phones, free health care, free airline tickets, etc etc etc. Pray for these people. Yes. I met a WWI veteran (that's not a typo - he was in the First World War) who said that he was the only one who had a Bible on the ship of men headed to the front lines in Europe. He quickly became very popular. He was quite an amazing man. If I recall correctly, he was over 100 years old at the time I met him. He still lived in his own home. His military occupation was to carry artillery to the front lines in a horse drawn wagon. The life expectancy for his MO was very short but God protected him. At the time I met him, he was still participating in Bible study.

The only issue with RO filtration systems, for every gallon of clean water it uses a few gallons in the filtration process. That is as they say, ‘water down the drain’ that you have paid for. (Unless you’re on a well I suppose.)

We solved that problem by running a small water line through the garage, into a 100 gallon water storage tank (which we got at a farm supply place) that’s on outside wall of the garage. The tank is elevated on a stand we had fabricated by a local welder. We put a spigot on the tank with an overflow valve on the top. We have a long hose connected to the spigot.

When the tank gets full, the overflow valve drips and we just run the hose to outlying shrubs and trees in our yard use that water. The water is gravity fed and the tank empties out.

So no water is wasted.

We live in a large metro city in SoCA, not a rural property.

It can be done.

Japanese tea produced in Japan has the lowest amount of fluoride. White tea has negligible amounts, green tea more. Black tea from anywhere and teas from China have the highest amounts of fluoride because the tea plant absorbs fluoride from the air. Japanese eat tons of seaweed, which is full of natural iodine and mitigates the extra fluoride ingested by tea. Best to get a good fluoride and chlorine filter for your water, drink only tea produced in Japan (Ito-En is a good brand), eat seaweed (you can get it in supplement form), and take a drop or two of Lugol's potassium iodide every day. Also, don't eat commercially produced bread; they put bromide in it (instead of iodine as in the old days) which blocks iodine uptake to your thyroid. IMHO, these are the reasons in the US that lead to obesity, on top of the impact on one's IQ. And there's no need to buy toothpaste: brush your teeth with with a pinch of baking soda and real sea salt. You can add a sprinkle of xylitol on that, too, for good dental health and taste, if you like. Thank you, Dr. Ladapo!

It was founded by someone who had the some of the same health issues as I did. Realized he could go to Europe and eat all the bread he wanted. He started looking into how wheat is produced here and wanted a healthier alternative. I use their flour to make everything from scratch and I have to issues. If I accidentally eat something commercially baked I get so sick.

Also--I took courage in hand at end of December, and every two months cut back another 10% of levothyroxine. At this point I am taking just 1/2 tablet twice a week. To add another layer:

After the tsunami > Fukushima meltdown in 2011 and knowing ocean currents are quite the dynamic circulatory system, in the northern hemisphere from Asia toward Alaska, south along the N American west coast toward the equator and west back toward Asia - in the southern hemisphere the direction is reversed, "counter clockwise" circulation; not sure about the rumored reversal of circulation in flushing toilets🤷‍♀️- I figured it best to find another source of seaweed than that of the circulating waters of the Pacific despite that harvesters and distributors from Pacific waters anywhere, Asia or Americas, claimed their findings that their products were tested and safe. I didn't invest in a Geiger counter to verify. Not worth it. My plan was/is avoidance.

For anyone interested, a seaweed source from the American near North Atlantic: https://seaveg.com/ They have the real deal (many varieties) dehydrated, from full leaf to flakes to powdered, and also a couple of encapsulated supplements.

Never had health issues leading me to seek out seaweed, still don't, just naturally gravitated toward it as a food, inspired by Asian cuisine, especially the island nations - surrounded by water! The more I learned about this food source, the greater my gratitude to God and angels for inspiring me to follow their whispers.

Journalist Christopher Bryson claims in his new book “The Fluoride Deception” that the post-war campaign to fluoridate drinking water was less a public health innovation than a public relations ploy sponsored by industrial users of fluoride–including the government’s nuclear weapons program.[includes transcript]

Hailed as a harmless chemical that would prevent tooth decay, new evidence shows how fluoride could be linked to serious health problems.

Fluoridation was first advanced in the US at the end of the second World War. Proponents argued that fluoride in water and toothpaste would help to protect teeth and prevent decay. Over the following decades, fluoride was added to public water supplies across the country.

While the benefits of fluoridation have been held to be unquestionable, accumulating evidence points to a frightening prospect: that fluoride may have serious adverse health effects, including infant mortality, congenital defects and IQ.

Now a new book, titled “The Fluoride Deception” by Christopher Bryson examines the background of the fluoridation debate. According to Bryson, research challenging fluoride’s safety was either suppressed or not conducted in the first place. He says fluoridation is a triumph not of medical science but of US government spin.

They probably don't drink the water. King Charles ensures the pedigree of all his food and if I recall correctly, the places it is sourced from are those where chemtrails are not being sprayed.

Not sure about the Pilots as that is one that really irritates me. During March/April of COVID, the skies were beautifully clear with puffy white clouds. Typically, these type of agents are arrogant and the security clearance helps then think they know more than the next guy. Plus, you can't 'see' the tangible effects of the damage they are wreaking because it is a slow burn of the soil health and all our food 'looks' good.

What I don’t understand is how they got away with it for so many years. One of the foundational tenets of medicine is the right to informed consent. Your doctor can’t give you a drug without informing you of its potential dangers. Or he sure the hell shouldn’t, because you could have his license. Likewise, fluoride is a prescription-only drug that municipalities all over the country have been adding to the water supply without the informed consent of their constituents. How could this legally have been possible? Last I looked, there were no physicians on my local municipality prescribing the drug to be added to municipal water, and certainly not offering informed consent to the constituents who drink that water. Seems to me, there ought to be a lot of bureaucrats either in jail, or paying through the nose for what they’ve done…

Fluoride is in all the food irrigated with fluoridated water and every bottle of water on the shelf since they do nothing to get it out. The only water without fluoride is RO (reverse osmosis) and distilled and distilled is questionable since distillation is a costly process. Everything edible made in the US that contains water, has fluoride in it. It's ubiquitous.....rather like glyphosate, which is found in 75+% of rain water on the planet.

I realized something this morning about why God allowed the events and suffering of the past four years, when Americans have faced confusion, frustration, and heartbreak as our nation navigated unprecedented challenges. It can be hard to understand why God allows such hardships, but perhaps there is a greater purpose at work (Romans 8:28) —one that points us toward renewal, accountability, and hope for the future.

What if these struggles were meant to reveal the moral and spiritual crossroads we face as a country? The challenges have shown us the depth of our need for reflection and change. We’ve seen how corruption and bureaucracy can stifle justice, how divisive tactics can harm unity, and how drifting away from foundational values can lead to instability. These eye-opening experiences have served as a wake-up call—a call to action, a call to faith, and a call to return to the principles of truth, justice, and freedom.

If these years of hardship had not occurred, would we have truly seen the urgency to stand up for what matters? Perhaps God allowed this season to strengthen our resolve, to bring us closer to Him, and to remind us that no matter how dark the times, redemption is always possible. As painful as it may be, it is often through adversity that we are shaped and refined.

Now, more than ever, Americans are engaging in important conversations about faith, freedom, and justice. People are stepping forward to protect the values of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for future generations. This isn’t just about political change—it’s about a deeper awakening, one that challenges us to build a society rooted in integrity, compassion, and faith.

The good news is this: it is not too late to make a difference. Together, we can restore hope, renew our commitment to what is right, and move forward with unity and courage. Let us take this opportunity to reaffirm our reliance on Christ, to stand for the truth, and to rebuild a nation that reflects the ideals of its founding—a nation where justice, faith, and freedom reign.

Our struggles do not define us; our response to them does. And with faith, we can trust that God’s plan will lead us to a brighter, stronger future.

His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

There is a very interesting history to the Rapture doctrine. First, it was never espoused or even mentioned in the early first-century Church—those who personally KNEW and followed the Primary Source “Document” of the Faith (Jesus). Nor did the Church ever espouse or mention this doctrine for the next 18 CENTURIES. The Rapture doctrine was invented in the 1830s by a man of questionable character named John Nelson Darby, who was a wealthy Irish aristocrat and the leader of a cult called “The Exclusive Brethren,” a cult which in turn gave rise to one of the most notorious figures of modern history, Freemason and black magic occultist Aleister Crowley. John Nelson Darby published an English “translation” of the Bible which is full of occult language, and which in turn gave rise to Cyrus Scofield’s “translation,” also full of occult language and bearing one of the most important Freemason symbols on its very cover, the Point Within a Circle. Darby was also the inventor of the false doctrine of Dispensationalism, and a mean-spirited, verbally abusive bully of other church leaders who dared to disagree with him. As Jesus said in Matthew 7:18, “A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”

Expand full comment
Politico Phil's avatar

Thank you! On numerous occasions, I have addressed this 'doctrine' directly from the Text relying mostly on what Jesus said in the Gospels but it always seems to fall on deaf ears. The dispensational indoctrination prevents people from considering the plain meaning of His words or, really, any other interpretation other than the "system" of interpretation they have been taught their whole life.

Expand full comment
Politico Phil's avatar

To extend your comment a bit further, I would ask, why is it that today's church has no impact in today's culture or society? It is because the church, following Crowley, Darby and Scofield, has withdrawn from society in the belief that "the world belongs to Satan" and as a result the church is no longer leaven to the society nor is the church salt to society? And this is exactly the condition we find the church in today. If anyone wants to understand how America got to where we are today, let them begin with the fact that for nearly 200 years the church has abandon her duty to be leaven and salt in society by prophetically speaking God's Law to society. Instead, the church sits in their pews each Sunday listening to how Satan rules the world and listening to titillating sermons about the end of the world and their escape via The Rapture. What did the Lord say about salt that has lost it's flavor?

I think it’s because Christians have been taught that they don’t need to follow YHWH’s commandments in the Torah. If you don’t follow God’s commandments, then you behave just like the rest of the world. There are billions of good people in the world who aren’t Christians, but they have a good moral code and they don’t murder, they don’t lie or steal, they don’t commit adultery, and they love their neighbors. You don’t have to be a Christian to do those things, so if that’s what Christians think sets them apart from the world, they are sorely mistaken. In that regard, there is no difference between Christians and the rest of the world.

God implores us to be holy, set apart for a sanctified purpose. Christians aren’t set apart. They look, sound, eat and act pretty much like everybody else. That’s why they have no impact on culture or society. They can talk about Jesus until they’re blue in the face, but if they act and live like everybody else, nobody will notice that they’re different.

But if they obeyed the Torah, they would look WAY different to the world. They would not do things the way the world does them. They would not be getting tattoos, vaccines, blood transfusions or organ transplants. They would not be having pre-marital sex or any kind of sex outside of marriage. They would dress modestly. They would celebrate the Feasts of YHWH and not the pagan holidays celebrated by the world. They wouldn’t be eating pork, shellfish, shark meat, catfish or rabbit meat. They would not be eating out at restaurants, unless the restaurant specifically serves kosher food, because it is impossible to know whether restaurants are using completely kosher ingredients. They wouldn’t be sending their children to public schools or universities, because the teaching of children is specifically reserved to parents and not pagans. And they probably wouldn’t have televisions in their homes, and their children would not have access to cell phones or social media.

If Christians lived like THAT, they would probably get more curiosity, notice and respect from the world, much like the respect that the Amish and Quakers get.

When it comes to “reaching” the world, Christians like to quote Paul’s saying that he was, “all things to all people,” but the majority of us aren’t like Paul. And we’re not like the Apostles either. They were specifically commanded by Jesus to go out into the world and make disciples of all nations. Yet very few of them actually left their home territory to take the Gospel to the Gentiles. It was mostly just Paul, Barnabas, Phillip, and Peter a little. Why didn’t the others go out into the world to be missionaries? I would imagine it’s because they had families. They had children. Once you have children, your first God-given priority is raising them, protecting them, and teaching them the ways of God. They are to be your first converts and disciples of Jesus.

Instead, Christians do most things exactly like the pagans do. It’s no wonder society disdains us, or worse, pays us no mind at all.

There is no Biblical precedent for God’s faithful being removed from danger, only protected from it. Noah and his family were protected in the Ark while the oceans raged. Daniel was protected from the lions in the lion’s den. The Hebrew children were protected from the flames in the fiery furnace. Lot and his family were escorted out of Sodom by angels. Jonah was protected from the storm by being swallowed by a whale. The faithful are always protected while the wicked are taken out. It’s never the faithful who are taken out and the wicked who remain. Even in Jesus’ parable of the wheat and tares, it is the tares that get bundled up and burned while the wheat remains.

The entire rapture narrative collapses when you look at scripture. This rapture event supposedly encompasses the entirety of the body of Christ on earth. The closest analogy I can think of is God's deliverance of the entire population of Israelites from Eygpt. The parallels are obvious. As you said, they were "protected" and the wicked that pursued them were destroyed. We are never taken out of life. We are required to go through it and build something better on the other side but only after learning the hard lesson of repentance from believing in false gods and accepting God's Word/Law as the only standard of life. When Moses broke the tablet of the Ten Words, he demonstrated the lawlessness of the people and their need for repentance. Only the next generation were allowed to enter the promise land.

But even aside from these obvious examples, the dispensational system discounts the meaning of Christ's Ascension to His throne and the establishment of His kingdom over the earth disinheriting Satan of his dominion which was ceded to him by the First Adam in the Fall. What a travesty of doctrinal interpretation and an affront to our Savior and King. This is analogous to the Israelites building an idol to Baal rather than exercising faith in God who was leading them as their King and Deliverer.

The dispensational system of interpretation cannot be reconciled with Scripture and their rationalizations are so convoluted no one can understand it. Their explanations always resort to referencing headlines to current events. The commitment of Christians who have been raised in this theology for several generations is based on an emotionalism that transcends the plain logic of Scripture, most especially the statements by Jesus in the Gospels. It is analogous to trying to red pill Americans who have always had faith in the MSM, the political establishment and the efficacy of the medical establishment. It is very hard ground. And I suppose the rapture is a much easier way out than the prospect of working to disciple the nations to Christ's law/word. That's too much work.

FlatEarthFlyer's avatar

Spot on! I didn’t pursue the line of Scripture in my original comment because Christians have heard it before and they simply take the word of their pastor in the pulpit as to its meaning. But most people have no clue about the nefarious history surrounding the false rapture doctrine. So you have to plant seeds in their heads to cause them to look twice at what they believe, and hopefully they will become like the Bereans and “search(ed) the Scriptures daily, (to see) whether those things were so.” Much like Biblical cosmology…😉

One of the things that makes our side so ineffective is their almost autistic-like unidimensional thinking. They don't comprehend that good is better than bad, even if it's not perfect. They don't get that things don't change instantly but incrementally. Rather than be happy that X is infinitely more free than the old Twitter, and played a huge role in Trump's election, the whine and obsess over perceived slights.

Note how they never put out reasoned arguments explaining their concerns, but just drop these low-IQ condescending snarks that accomplish nothing. Can you imagine having a face to face conversation with someone like this? They take zero pleasure in small (or even large) victories but just bitch about how it's not perfect. It's rooted in a sense of ingratitude, entitlement, and self-pity. All emotional poison.

I'm thrilled Elon is on our side and grateful for it as I understand how devastating it would be if he was on the other side. The guy isn't perfect but he's brilliant and a visionary, but more importantly he's willing to risk what he has for something he believes in. I'll take those types of people on my side any day.

But what, exactly, does Elon believe in? Yesterday, in response to the Time cover with his "checklist", he tweeted - "I am trying to make life multiplanetary to maximize the probable lifespan of consciousness. Some of the items below are needed for that." That IS his endgame - to maximize the probably lifespan of consciousness. Not mankind, not our species, not humans - consciousness. He's clearly tranhumanist and views our physical bodies as meat sacks. I have been trying to square this with his buying of Twitter. My working hypothesis is that he is gathering all of the Twitter data to feed into his LLM, and also as part of this archiving of consciousness. He realizes that freedom of speech is necessary to get the most authentic model, the best data - it's simply the optimal environment. As long as our short term goals align, he's an ally. But there is going to be a tipping point and if he's amassed enough power, it's not going to matter what us useless eater's think.

Expand full comment
Jeff C's avatar

Yes, and you've probably said some nutty stuff in your life too.

At this point the overriding issue is free speech vs. controlled speech. Without free speech we can't even discuss the stuff you mention above is a good idea or not. Without free speech those in power will simply do what they want and crush those who oppose them. Without free speech people are jailed and/or destroyed for questioning things like forced vaccination, lockdowns, flooding the country will illegal aliens, endless wars, and looting the treasury to send it overseas.

We came dangerously close that just a few short years ago. Elon spent $42B of his own money to make X a place that allows and fosters free speech. He did that because he believes in it as it was a terrible deal from a financial perspective. No it's not perfect, but it's light-years better than what it was. And it undoubtedly played a huge roll in the election as it counteracted the corporate media's lies.

Elon also went all in for Trump when he knew he would be financially destroyed and likely imprisoned if Trump lost. It was a huge gamble, it would have been far safer and easier to stay neutral but he didn't. He stuck his neck way out because he believed the country needed to change and this was probably the last opportunity to do so.

This is exactly what I mean with so many people on our side. They obsess over minutia out of their own insignificance, ingratitude, and self-pity and completely miss the big picture. None of these whiners have 1% of Elon's vision and fortitude. And I'm not crazy about the guy as I work for a big competitor of his. But I recognize what he did for the country and am grateful he's on our side.

I'm a federal employee. After being threatened with get the jab or lose my job for more than a year, here I am again most likely getting fired. I am tired of the lies about federal employees. I worked from home long before covid hit and I do have to go into the office to work. It is a perk of the job much like the amount of vacation time you can earn based on your employer benefits. We earn less than the private sector so other benefits make up for a lower salary. But these blanket statements of federal employees are lazy, people wishing for us to get fired, and people just generally not caring about us is upsetting. Federal employee salaries are such a small part of the budget that even if DOGE fires 75% of employees (probably less than 75%?), it will be a very small savings. The terrible federal employees are the focus in the news constantly instead of gov't overspending. People are rooting for us to get fired. Sad! Remember how people felt when you were threatened to get the jab or get fired? I agree there are too many employees and cuts should be made but I've been a dedicated employee for over 15 years so it sucks people are excited about us potentially getting fired. Look at the remainder of federal expenditures and frivolous spending. That is where the cuts will reap far greater benefits but 75% of employees as if we are the sole reason ? Have some compassion for those dedicated employees who will lose their jobs. We are human too.

J Boss's avatar

Well, I agree civil servants like you exist. But I'd also argue that the 80/20 rule applies that most are just not valuable or efficient. Why that is flows into your other observation.

The true waste is in the over regulation of all govt contracts and projects. Every requirement in a contract requires money and time to prove you met it. And the number of requirements has grown at least 10X in my career.

Example: the original contract to build the rockets that launched astronauts to the moon were under 20 pages, self contained. The contract for the shuttle launch vehicle was more than 400 pages and contained hundreds of other reference documents.

SpaceX had to file suit to bid on space station resupply contracts because they didn't have the history and staffing related to programs like ISO 9000. They won the lawsuit on the basis that most of the "requirements" that disqualified them from bidding had nothing to do with the mission requirements.

SpaceX's bid then won the contract at less then 30% cost of the other huge corporations. And they are demonstratedly far superior at executing the contract at that price.

Congress and agencies add waste that then has to be implemented, tracked, proven to get paid, and enforced.

The policy side of DOGE addresses that.

Right. The waste isn't in employee salaries, it's in appropriations? To ultimately fund bloated contracts awarded unsurprisingly to friends? And then "tracked, proven to get paid and enforced," along with other - as Musk/Ramaswamy have pointed out - redundancy/ies across agencies? A simplification to be sure, but pointing out it's less about the employees themselves. And undoubtedly there's a +/- Pareto distribution among workers. There typically is. I know a wonderful federal employee IRL (in real life). This person is one of the few conservatives in their long-time ranks too. You're right that we need to be more thoughtful about this topic. I think the 'rub' for many, including myself, is what we perceive to be fabulous benefits, vacation time, and pensions - when so much of that has disappeared or been greatly diminished in the private sector. People are angry about that, as well as what seems to be a lack of accountability from the top. I briefly interned at a federal agency and was told they tried to spend their budget every year so as not to have it cut. The incentives seem 'off'. DC office buildings (taxpayers footing the bill) sitting mostly empty is one example. But anyway, I take your point and want you to know there are people out there who care.

Expand full comment
Carrie's avatar

Thank you. I work in a small office and it is mostly full every day. We are field agents so we are on location doing our work (not in the office) and yes we also work from home. I agree on the budget. I've had to fly out of state for work when there are agents in that state that could do work. That is a waste of taxpayer money. I also agree that they try to spend the budget so they get the same amount the next year. Our benefits are not that fabulous. They are competitive but not fabulous. Many businesses allow work from home due to covid. When I hired in with the gov't, I took a substantial pay cut. We make a decent salary but less than the private sector. We often don't get a COLA increase or the increase is a percent or two - again, less than the private sector. Bonuses? Bonuses, if any, are small. It's not that glorious but I do like my job. I think I voted myself out of a job. Lol

Same thing needs to happen in the Federal Government. If anything, the Gov't is even more bloated probably.

There are many fine people in Gov't service, just as in any profession. I can sympathize with their experiences. But as with any business, it comes down to shareholder value. The Federal Gov't is severely light on shareholder value at the moment. Time to trim and slim.

Hard for those directly impacted. Good for the business (the US) in the long run.

So, if that means shedding departments and divisions, slimming down operations, time to do it. Commiserations to Carrie and others that may be potentially impacted by cleaning house and essentially making Gov't employment more similar to the free market economy.

Carrie not all private sector jobs are what you imagine. It took me roughly 30 years to make 2.5x my starting salary and after 36 years my salary amounts to rightly$1.50 a year. I get 4 hours of sick leave a year and that is limited into my vacation time which is earned at about 3 hours a pay period. And my benefits are roughly 6x what they cost when I started. Pretty much industry wide standard as pay is based on years in the job vs merit.

The problem I see is that government union jobs have a distinct advantage... That is the government isn't expected to make a profit to stay in business and they negotiate with other people's money( tax payers). And instead of doing more with less, which has been the mantra of private sector nearly my whole career, the government just increases the budget and hires more people.

Every business has deadwood. That's why merit and measurable accomplishment should be the standard.Perhaps the salaries saved by pruning the useless should be redistributed to the

And if we take all of the small cuts together, they will add up. Also the government will have less power because it won’t control so much. I’m sorry that there is a possibility your job may be one targeted and sympathize with your situation. I have a couple of relatives and a really close friend who retired from ‘government service’. And no, federal workers are NOT paid less than in the private sector. They retired with HIGH pensions and benefits that the private sector can only dream of having, in addition to being offered the best insurance money can buy…..and for life!!!

One friend turned in her notice to retire and was told “If you work two more weeks you’ll get an extra $1,000/ month! She was already going to pension out after 20 years, at the same that my husband gets after 55 years in the private sectors, sans the RollsRoyce of insurance packets. And all she had to put in was 20 years + 2 weeks!!

From my experience, I took a significant pay cut to work for the gov't. In my former job, I got bonuses and now that employer is giving out much bigger bonuses than when I worked there. Insurance would be comparable. I'm glad your relatives had better experiences than I but I do not believe that is accurate of today's federal employees. There is a difference between CSRS and FERS retirement. I will not be getting the retirement plan or the RollsRoyce insurance plans your relatives got.

I agree! My husband was fired for not complying. Now he has a federal job and is a remote worker. He is hardworking and never abuses his work at home privilege. However we Will Not be moving to Philadelphia. I don’t know what will happen but I believe the pyramid of Govt employees has been inverted to Top heavy and my hope it that the top will be cut down to size and the workers will not be the focus.

I'm sorry your husband was fired. Yes, too many at the top and think many of them will be let go especially if they cut as many employees as they say. I have to account for my work time at home and say what I do each day whether at home or in the field or office. Our time is monitored by our time sheets so it's not like we just spend 8 hours at home unaccounted for. Interesting times for sure and I hope your husband is able to keep his job.

Thank you, yes he has to do that too and I believe many are on the up and up, but I know not all and those are the ones who need to be cut. Hopefully it will be fair and not like everything else :')
