Have heard some say that farms and rural communities in the western half of that state are recipients of a lot of Fed dollars and strong fiscal conservatives threaten that, but have never done any vetting of that. Personally think KS biggest problem is KC libs flocking to KS and then wanting to turn the places they move to 'get away' from the problems - crime, high taxes, bad schools, into the places they left. Rural counties surrounding KC on the MO side seeing the same thing.

Kansas needs more "show me" and less "please like me pretty please".
