I surely never thought forgiveness was for anyone like me. Yes, what he has done is worse in a human sense. But we all nailed Jesus to the cross. I’m thankful that I don’t have to be concerned about whether he repents or not, I only need to be obedient and pray for him. God takes it from there.
Forgiveness does not mean absolution from the consequence of one actions in this world by skating free of adjudication. Such an 'forgiveness' with no earthly consequences would make a mockery of the rest of Scripture.
God acts as He sees fit. But we must do our part as commanded by Scripture which is the upholding of God's Law by the administering of justice in this world. I don’t necessarily disagree that the inauguration should be closer to the election, but as it stands now, the electoral college meets in mid-December and the Congress certifies the election in early January, so all of that would have to be changed before the inauguration date could be changed.
I agree with both of you. In this day and age of immediate digital communications and filings, administrations should be prepped and ready to move in either direction the day after the election. Maybe the electoral college meets the end of November BEFORE Thanksgiving holidays, then the certification is a week later and the swearing in is before Christmas holidays.
If they have enough Congressmen object to the certification, they have to send it back to the states for 10 days to investigate. This was the whole point of the J6 fake riot. The "shooting death" made it deadly (the bomb was the backup) so Congress would recess for an emergency and reconvene when all who were to reject the certification flipped so they wouldn't look bad. However, they pushed it through and never sent it back to the states. This is the whole point of the Brunson cases: They did not fulfill their oath to uphold the Constitution by sending the election back to the states. And that is why we have a few weeks between certification and inauguration.
Yeah I don’t think it was, but I mean it was a strategic last minute move to keep him safe. It had to be. Given that, it’s a quandary for how else they could have handled initial venues to keep their playing hand close. They do need a better way to keep the public safe and warm for these events, even if they have to split it up between several arenas where attendees expect video feed. Idk. I feel for those attendees that can’t afford the loss of money it required to travel there, but there are ALWAYS travel risks no matter where you go, and in this case if I had spent money, I’d just look at it as a donation of support for my chosen president regardless what I would get out of it. I surely never thought forgiveness was for anyone like me. Yes, what he has done is worse in a human sense. But we all nailed Jesus to the cross. I’m thankful that I don’t have to be concerned about whether he repents or not, I only need to be obedient and pray for him. God takes it from there.
Forgiveness does not mean absolution from the consequence of one actions in this world by skating free of adjudication. Such an 'forgiveness' with no earthly consequences would make a mockery of the rest of Scripture.
God acts as He sees fit. But we must do our part as commanded by Scripture which is the upholding of God's Law by the administering of justice in this world. One of the many benefits from reading the Bible is one can notice how the Lord Jesus answered people who asked Him conniving questions, trying to trap Him. He would reply by asking them questions about the scenario they presented Him. That's what Pam Bondi should have done with Adam Schiff. When he asked if she would promise not to prosecute certain people she should have asked him what crimes he doesn't want investigated/prosecuted. It would have been fun to see his reactions.

I don't consider it a snappy answer, I think it's an important question. His questions appear to be his attempt to protect himself and others from legitimate investigations and possible prosecutions. His questions could be interpreted as attempts to intimidate a government officer in order to keep them from performing their Constitutionally required responsibilities. That's a crime worthy of investigation.

It never should have been held outside. First for assassination reasons. Duh. But second - patriotic elderly, small children/babies brought by families, all would have to withstand several hours in that freezing temperature to witness history while the government employees get to come out at the last minute. Why the libs mock that other presidents and administrations withstood the cold shows it’s always and only about them and not the people. I don’t think it was a mistake to change the venue, I think it was a mistake to continue to prepare for it being outside once it was clear the weather would be severe. But I’ll admit that regardless the pre-prep, a last minute change of location was essential for his safety.
Why not move the inauguration closer to election day, say the first week in December. There would be less chances of Artic blasts and less time for the lame duck President to screw things up for the next Administration. I'm looking at you, Brandon or whoever is pulling your strings.
I don’t necessarily disagree that the inauguration should be closer to the election, but as it stands now, the electoral college meets in mid-December and the Congress certifies the election in early January, so all of that would have to be changed before the inauguration date could be changed.
I agree with both of you. In this day and age of immediate digital communications and filings, administrations should be prepped and ready to move in either direction the day after the election. Maybe the electoral college meets the end of November BEFORE Thanksgiving holidays, then the certification is a week later and the swearing in is before Christmas holidays.
If they have enough Congressmen object to the certification, they have to send it back to the states for 10 days to investigate. This was the whole point of the J6 fake riot. The "shooting death" made it deadly (the bomb was the backup) so Congress would recess for an emergency and reconvene when all who were to reject the certification flipped so they wouldn't look bad. However, they pushed it through and never sent it back to the states. This is the whole point of the Brunson cases: They did not fulfill their oath to uphold the Constitution by sending the election back to the states. And that is why we have a few weeks between certification and inauguration.

Given that, it’s a quandary for how else they could have handled initial venues to keep their playing hand close. They do need a better way to keep the public safe and warm for these events, even if they have to split it up between several arenas where attendees expect video feed. Idk. I prefer the public be safe from rando explosions and terrorist acts so too much location prep ahead of time could place them at risk. Maybe prepping for the standard lawn location was always the best and change it last minute like they did is best for everyone’s safety.

I feel for those attendees that can’t afford the loss of money it required to travel there, but there are ALWAYS travel risks no matter where you go, and in this case if I had spent money, I’d just look at it as a donation of support for my chosen president regardless what I would get out of it. If the weather cooperates and I get to stand witness in person that’s a bonus. If not, I find a local establishment to enjoy the day with fellow patriots. It’s still a patriotic vacation of sorts with camaraderie that will be memorable. Possibly more-so in the close knit space of a cheery corner bar. Lol
