Books and internal controls are so bad they can't be audited. Other agencies also have failed. Since the DOD is a material part of the US Consolidated financial statements, these statements too get a disclaimer. I think the $2 Trillion number is from around 2001, it is MUCH higher now.

I don’t have children, but I think the crooks of turning the ship around is in the schools and homes. I spoke in front of the Dallas school board about three years ago and took a list of 800 books that were full of filth that we’re going into the libraries with pictures out of some of the books. In order to speak in front of this group you had to email them your entire speech as well as any attachments that you would be bringing and then you had to bring hardcopies. This was during Covid and a lot of people there were protesting the masks, but I felt like they heard me; not the school board, but some of the families. The school board just sat and acted like they were looking at their phones. I was so disgusted with them that I ended my speech with why aren’t you in raged over what is being put in the minds of our children? I said the next time I go speak in front of that group. I’m taking a list of ways to get your kids out of the public school system and home school or form home school groups.. I realize some parents feel like they can’t homeschool, but really they need to check their priorities. I won’t try to describe all that I think can be done because I think people know they just get complacent.

They are not at risk for that. He could say he supports that vaccine but not at that time in the schedule because the baby is not at risk. And we shouldn't be harassing mothers who refuse it at that time. That would educate more of the public of the schedule and how could the senators respond? He could have also brought up the mercury issue and how as they added more vaccines to the schedule no one was looking at the accumulated effect of all the mercury. So we need to always question and look back at the whole versus just the one shot. Quite frankly, he brought nothing to the table, nothing. Just the same statements I am pro- vaccine, just want safety.
On other topics like Medicare/Medicaid - he was also weak. They made hints that they felt he would cut services to cut costs, he could have been prepared to how we need to get the costs down but still provide the needed services . My take on why the 15 IG's didn't sue is cost, not cowardliness to protest, as Jeff suggests. They would have to pay for an attorney to do that. And what would they get? They would still be fired but 30 days later. So it becomes moot. For the record, I would have done the same thing she did - I would have made them walk me out, not fight, but not voluntarily follow a memo.

IG's are like internal audit and they are a very important internal control for both business and government. Remember the Enron whistleblower was an internal auditor. There is also discussion and dispute in the corporate world about who they should report to. Today, they either report to the CFO or CEO or the audit committee of the BOD. Many think it should just be the Audit committee because it provides more independence from the CEO and they are probably right. But whenever the head of IA is fired, the external auditors spring into action and requires a meeting with the IA to evaluate whether there is something going on. Standard procedure.
I imagine getting legal representation to "take it to Trump" would be readily on offer and many of the bigger firms would do it pro bono. I will further add that I don't really care about precedents and norms right now. I listened to the interview and it is pretty overwhelming, but I’ve been aware for quite some time. I don’t have children, but I think the crooks of turning the ship around is in the schools and homes. I spoke in front of the Dallas school board about three years ago and took a list of 800 books that were full of filth that we’re going into the libraries with pictures out of some of the books. In order to speak in front of this group you had to email them your entire speech as well as any attachments that you would be bringing and then you had to bring hardcopies. This was during Covid and a lot of people there were protesting the masks, but I felt like they heard me; not the school board, but some of the families. The school board just sat and acted like they were looking at their phones. I was so disgusted with them that I ended my speech with why aren’t you in raged over what is being put in the minds of our children? I said the next time I go speak in front of that group. I’m taking a list of ways to get your kids out of the public school system and home school or form home school groups.. I realize some parents feel like they can’t homeschool, but really they need to check their priorities. I won’t try to describe all that I think can be done because I think people know they just get complacent.

Regarding RFKJ's hearing yesterday, why ask questions if they're not going to let him answer? There should be a new policy in place to allow the person being questioned at least 30-60 seconds to answer. I'm new to paying attention to politics. I had no idea that's the way they operate.

Their belief in ALL vaccines has crossed into superstition and direct refusal to responsibly demand better testing, better products from their campaign finance backers. RFK jr should have passed out little signs for each senator, “this questioning brought to you by pharma” with instructions that they must disclose their financial interests to expose any bias.

Rand Paul delivered his statement and defended vaccines but obliquely referred to autism, "we don't know what causes it, but mothers see their perfectly normal child with 100 words go to 0 after the shot". He says he vaxxed his kids, including the hep-B, but when they were older. I'm sure he administered the vaxxes to his kids on a relaxed schedule without doing combo vaccines. He still harmed them of course although it becomes less obvious if you stretch out the shots. That is the real irony of it. If pharma and the medical establishment had allowed parents to still vaccinate but get the d and the p and the t etc at different times there would have been a lot less injury and a lot less opposition. But since they could not allow any variation to "safe and effective" for fear of people getting the idea that it was unsafe, they killed their golden goose. When considered in this light, it thus becomes apparent that greed wasn't their first desire, otherwise they would have promoted a stretched out vax schedule and less overall-only the "important" ones. No, it is obvious that it is exactly as Billy boy said "we will get the population down when we get everyone vaccinated". They want to kill and sterilize, that's it.

It is sad how this govt operates. But it happens on the other side too. When the Dems bring their candidates, the Republicans act like a@@holes too. So what have these confirmation hearings amounted to? A place for senators to put their positions of oppose or support on the record, not inquiry.
But RFK Jr brought this on himself and he performed very poorly yesterday. I am afraid he most likely will NOT be confirmed.
He has back-played his vaccine stance his whole campaign and throughout this hearing. He should have taken the stance that we can't have "sacred cows" in healthcare. We need to be always be vigilant and cautious. He should have brought up the smoking gun of vaccines - the giving of the Hep B vaccines to babies right out of the birth canal! They are not at risk for that. He could say he supports that vaccine but not at that time in the schedule because the baby is not at risk. And we shouldn't be harassing mothers who refuse it at that time. That would educate more of the public of the schedule and how could the senators respond? He could have also brought up the mercury issue and how as they added more vaccines to the schedule no one was looking at the accumulated effect of all the mercury. So we need to always question and look back at the whole versus just the one shot. Quite frankly, he brought nothing to the table, nothing. Just the same statements I am pro- vaccine, just want safety.
On other topics like Medicare/Medicaid - he was also weak. They made hints that they felt he would cut services to cut costs, he could have been prepared to how we need to get the costs down but still provide the needed services . Remember Congress is patting themselves on the back because they are now taking a few drugs and negotiating prices that will lower costs for people. Why weren't they doing that all along for all drugs? It drives me crazy.

Listen, there may be good justification to remove these people. I don't know and I frankly don't care. What I care about is getting back to a constitutional republic. Notice I did not say democracy because we were not suppose to be a democracy. We follow the laws and they should apply to everyone fairly. If we feel the laws are wrong, we work to change them or fight it in the courts (sue).
The law is VERY clear here on these IG's. Trump should have given 30 day notice to Congress with substantive rationale on his plans to remove them. Period. I posted a CRS report yesterday with the title number. Why didn't he just do it the right way. Having 30 days of these people at their desks was not going to harm his plans and could most likely help his transition team by getting updates on all ongoing investigations. Instead he has to break the law and get everybody all riled up. Stupid. And now I can say that it wasn't because he didn't know the procedure. My take on why the 15 IG's didn't sue is cost, not cowardliness to protest, as Jeff suggests. They would have to pay for an attorney to do that. And what would they get? They would still be fired but 30 days later. So it becomes moot. For the record, I would have done the same thing she did - I would have made them walk me out, not fight, but not voluntarily follow a memo.
Again, she probably deserved to be fired, they all should probably be removed because there is so much corruption and conflicts of interest not being addressed. But why can't he just do it the right way? I am an expert it this field, being a retired CPA. IG's are like internal audit and they are a very important internal control for both business and government. Remember the Enron whistleblower was an internal auditor. There is also discussion and dispute in the corporate world about who they should report to. Today, they either report to the CFO or CEO or the audit committee of the BOD. Many think it should just be the Audit committee because it provides more independence from the CEO and they are probably right. But whenever the head of IA is fired, the external auditors spring into action and requires a meeting with the IA to evaluate whether there is something going on. Standard procedure.
I imagine getting legal representation to "take it to Trump" would be readily on offer and many of the bigger firms would do it pro bono. I will further add that I don't really care about precedents and norms right now. The guard rails were torn down during Trump's first administration and he shouldn't have to be the one to reconstruct them.
On certain issues you would be right, but I doubt this issue. Because Trump has the right to fire her, he didn't need approval, he just needed to provide 30 days notice. There is no money nor notoriety in taking this case.
