Absolutely brilliant analysis. I have difficult finding but a handful of people I read with frequency, respect, and trust who is not freaking out about the Iran war now. It harkens back to the plandemic, when the masses became the mob. When all but a handful bent the knee. When I thought " how the hell does no one else see this is a psyop on a scale the world has never seen before?" Until that covid scam started to reveal itself, I could count on one hand the people I knew who were awake and aware. For over a decade, the number only changed by one. I admit it is not easy dismissing so many trusted voices, but I did not get to the level of awareness I have now by going with the flow.

Because they start from a condition of TDS. Orange man bad. From there it’s simple to project chaos and disaster.

Marlene Swann's avatar

I have been thinking a lot about TDS - what this mass hysteria could actually turn out to be. There has GOT to be a reason for this massive delusion. Me, I think it goes back to the heart of every motive in a mystery authors plot line - Cui Bono? Who benefits? I believe the heart of this mysterious malady started just before Trump 1.0. When a LOT of deep state takers and fakers realized what Trump really stood for - we, the people. They saw that their pipeline of our tax cash that they’ve been busily diverting to their own pockets was suddenly faced with a real - and dire - threat. Then USAID got publicized. Then COVID money manipulations were made public. Then the snake that was the Epstein sickness with all the power players about to be revealed hit John Q Public. And these people, who I think account for probably 90% of the deep state players, the other 10% are the awful toads who are just followers and hanger-on-ers realized - Trump was going to destroy their way of life. Their way of doing business. The elite status quo. And TDS was born. That’s what I think.

Some years ago I was acquainted with the leadership of an extremely respected boarding school for 'at-risk' teenagers.

Their methods were born of hard core personal trials, suffering, and experience ...

A casual observer could easily interpret this community as abusive. But the results spoke for themselves: youngsters got well.

Eventually, the school succumbed to slander and closed.

Back to Trump: Like the school, he is performing anintervention ... but in this case, it's on on a global scale. To the ignorant (namely, the 'expert class's) his actions look abusive, capricious, and worse.

Blessed are the fallen ... because in THIS lifetime, they are the only ones who understand resurrection.

Marlene Swann's avatar

And I think Trump himself, in the 4 years of “retardation” we went through w Biden - was actually himself one of those fallen, the way they went after him and his family truly is nothing less than persecution! And only Jesus Christ can claim resurrection (well, maybe Lazarus, too), but he certainly used that time well! What a master class in turning the tables! Nothing but respect, here. My husband and I really want to go to that Re-Dedication to God” of this country he’s planning in May.

Jeffrey N. Gratton's avatar

Thank you for your insight.

Few people discuss Trump's psychological preparation beginning decades ago.

Real Estate

On a huge scale ... REAL money ... real SKIN in the game ...

accompanied by genius moves in media/entertainment

He endured HUGE setbacks along the way

Plus a family ... family who has turned out GREAT ... no crack smokers, nothing untoward

And in 2020, just as he was getting warmed up ... all stolen in the darkness right under our/his nose

Dark forces win

What kind of Man turns such catastrophe around?

I am convinced that the very last thing Jesus Christ would want us to believe is that He had something that WE don't.

For me, that's the antithesis of His message.

So, with respect and sincere curiosity, why do you say that only Jesus Christ can claim resurrection?

Marlene Swann's avatar

Not really sure what you’re asking here, but I was speaking purely from a biblical perspective - only Jesus Christ and a few others found in both the old and new testaments can claim actually coming back from the dead, is where I was coming from. And then, comparing Trump in those dark years to now, such a huge comeback it’s like night and day. Like a phoenix resurrected, I was thinking. Nothing but respect for our president. Thank you for your comment, I love how this Substack community gets my brain going!

RunningLogic's avatar

I like that analogy, it’s an interesting way of looking at the situation!

FloridaTransplant's avatar

I’ll second that and add: they felt entitled to their power and our money - due to no one stopping them for so many years. And once it appeared as though someone not in “the club” would be elected, they lost their collective minds. And “destroy the interloper!” was their only option.

Willing Spirit's avatar

No negative consequences for many decades made the corruption be the game to play for self advancement. All you had to do for protection was sound supportive of civil rights and later DEI.

RunningLogic's avatar

Yes that is definitely a take I can agree with!

RunningLogic's avatar

Yup I think you’re right and these people manipulated the gullible useful idiots into the emotional knee jerk “orange man bad” reaction.

Marlene Swann's avatar

Exactly - I could not figure out how to say that. Perfect.

A lot of men who were insecure about their financial success (or lack of) or didn’t think they financially succeeded are the ones who hated him when I was growing up in NJ in the 80’s.

RunningLogic's avatar

They actually WANT chaos and disaster too, so they can profit from it by retaking control 😕

Gary's avatar

If the left and globalist actually had a plan they would not need chaos!! Chaos is for cheaters, people incapable of vision. They cannot understand, so they try to make ones that do submit and bring them down to their level.

Jeffrey N. Gratton's avatar

I don't believe that they even KNOW what they want.

The psychological SLEEP is so thick, so deep, that, with rare exceptions, we do not see that the chaos in our minds is what governs our world view.

We ARE chaos ... so we see chaos everywhere.

rolandttg's avatar

Not all of these people, not by a long shot, have TDS. That is the amazing thing. I don't follow people with TDS unless it is to check in with their latest insane rants

Willing Spirit's avatar

Maybe (TI) Trump Insecurity. They don’t hate him, have an appreciation for good things happening; but they just can’t understand the risks he takes.

To me, when he’s in power, I feel like daddy’s home. It’s going to be all right.

Too many maybe haven’t had the right kind of daddies and his strong but not easily understood behaviors are a little scary.

Gary's avatar

yes, lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way!!!!

Spiritual deception, rolandttg.

I think it important to remember there is another, greater enemy at work in the affairs of man every day. Mankind and their fiefdoms are the chess pieces, the battle between good and evil, God and Satan, rages like never before in our lifetime.

I pray for our country and it's leaders, that they are seeking the will of God in every endeavor they pursue. It's apparent to me the prior administration sought, and still does, the will of self and evil in everything it pursued.

Prayer, the most powerful tool of influence a Believer has.

rolandttg's avatar

I have said and continue to say as you have this is a war for not just this planet, but a war for the ages. Solar system , galaxy , beyond, I don't know, but most definitely a war between good and evil, satan and God, mankind and pedophiles. Normies have not a clue, nor do they want one.

Jeffrey N. Gratton's avatar

Absolutely agree ...

The significance of what is transpiring on Planet Earth impacts the entire cosmos.

In contrast to the incomplete views of the $cience community, EARTH is the MAIN show.

We inhabit a psychological universe:

Example: It will NEVER make sense to colonize other planets until we fully harmonize our own.

This is a psychological question.

We have to remember the Dems have nothing but ad hominem attacks, no plans except impeach and imprison Trump, his cabinet, and voters (Susan Rice comments).

The adults are in the room now and they have brilliant strategists. The military is no longer woke but a trained and lethal war machine.

I say calm down and let the man work!

Willing Spirit's avatar

Amen! One wonders how many of these panic episodes we have to live through before some seemingly smart people get it. It does get tiresome.

Of course it is in the financial interest of pundits to keep people in a state of anxiety so they have to keep checking in.

I have wondered how those fine military men managed to stay in while their whole service went off to the dark side, i.e., the dresses.

Recently, Jeff spoke of actions of ‘white hats’. Sundance of TCTH has spoken of them for a long time and it gave hope in some really dark Obama and Biden times.

It was obvious that major purging occurred in government agencies to dump conservative voices, at least since the Clinton years, and accelerating in following Demonrat administrations. Some low lying conservatives may have chosen to do what they could from within. Some, for personal reasons, may have felt they had no real choice. Like me in the dark underbelly of education. I had a family to support and so just laid low and took whatever potshots I could. I can hope I had some influence.

There had to be a few exceptions, who somehow remained and might do and did some sabotage behind the scenes.

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

Thank you so much for this response. I, too, was in "education", but (Deo gratias!) I had been shoving $$ into the over-55 catch-up (as soon as youngest was out of college and we could save for ourselves alone), and was able to ditch the dump in Jan.'21--having hoped/expected to continue for several years more.

On the Venezuela front, our former son in law sent this podcast detailing the extraction mission of Maduro. According to it, we had a high ranking defector paid $50 million providing critical information for 5 years. The Delta team ran 157 repeat simulations of the raid in a full sale palace replica until they knew it in their sleep. Now for my humor. Had they tried to build the replica in Cali, they would still be waiting on the building permits.

Excellent take on the oil market analysis. And consider this post yesterday by Sundance pointing out that 6 months ago--immediately after Putin met Trump in Alaska--Russia more than doubled its production of LNG without any market for its product. Now it all makes sense. It is all according to plan! https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/03/07/part-ii-europe-and-china-have-an-energy-problem/

Actually, it is an old Southern saying popularized by Tennessee Ernie Ford, but you may be too young to remember him.

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

RunningLogic's avatar

Yes I’ve heard that and similar expressions before but I just appreciated how Jeff placed it in his post 😆😁

David Shaffer's avatar

Fingers crossed and hands folded that Jeff is correct. If this is the Trump strategy then it is genius. If it is wishful thinking we have just lost the midterms and perhaps the 2028 election. Never doubt Trump or Jeff but this one has risks.

Willing Spirit's avatar

No risks, no rewards. I’ve followed politics for 50+ years and am personally sick to death of individuals holding the offices for self promotion and taking no risks for fear of losing it.

Drowning in a Sea of Babel's avatar

It seems very risky. I wouldn't put it past the Iranians to sabotage their own facilities if they thought they were going down. Trump isn't afraid to take big risks, and the Iranians running this show are nothing if not strategic thinkers with a death wish. It is certainly a showdown of epic proportions.

Willing Spirit's avatar

I think they are crazy, but God is in control of even that.

Anne Emerson Hall's avatar

If Iran has sabotaged its facilities, who benefits? By facilities, do you mean those attacked last night, or Karg Island?

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

Regarding the cui bono aspect, I consider their attitude to be "If we can't have it, then no one else can either".

Bubblehead604's avatar

Well, Iran NEEDS it, we don't. Russian oil is available. Cui bono? The West.

Fantastic post Jeff, as always. On a topic you covered a few days ago, I noticed that Trump barely acknowledged Kristi Noem at the Miami shield summit yesterday. She was in the back row almost hiding in the group photo. Marco took the lead on stage, spoke Spanish and charmed the leaders. I’m starting to think Trump just saved face by not technically firing her. Funny she told that story about shooting her dog to make herself sound tough, and she also made the 220 million ad with herself on a horse to make her image tough and strong. She ultimately showed she has bad judgement, probably over compensating as a beauty queen in a tough guy job.

Willing Spirit's avatar

I think Trump is gracious and very savvy. It wasn’t the time to showcase her, but obviously he still sees potential.

Saylor Sherman's avatar

I agree, he will likely bring her out again at some point. He will ask her to lay low for a time.

Willing Spirit's avatar

She is a beautiful woman, which is threatening to some. Whatever her flaws, whatever her failings, I don’t think she could be called incompetent given the present statistics regarding the border. She’s obviously bright and capable of learning from mistakes. And she doesn’t seem too arrogant to learn like a MTG type.

Life conditions change. Personnel changes are often needed to meet changing landscapes. I really don’t get the ‘she was fired’ interpretation. Looks like she was reassigned to me.

A lot of these attacks on her seem mean and petty.

Saylor Sherman's avatar

I have given some thoughts as to why many people are upset about her appearance as beach Barbie at the border. It’s because plastic surgery is optional fake eyelashes are optional Rolex watches and big gold earrings are optional so we can criticize that kind of appearance. We don’t criticize people for being ugly because they can’t help it but when you try to alter your appearance, a certain way and dress a certain way in a government job those things are all optional.

Saylor Sherman's avatar

At the highest level, her optional choices again show her poor judgment, whether it is her appearance, whether it is her pet or how to spend taxpayer money

Willing Spirit's avatar

Optional means you can choose it if you want, right?

I’m not going to judge her appearance choices. She may have helped recruit a lot of Ice agents.

Obviously President Trump considered her to be the right person for the job in the initial phase. Now we’re moving on.

The animals she shot were not pets. Dogs in homes or apartments in the city can be very different from dogs on farms or ranches. My daddy shot a few dogs that signed their execution warrant by breaking into the chicken pen and other such destructive behaviors. As farm children we knew better than to even form an attachment. Think of Flag in the Yearling.

Not everyone has the luxury of your sensitivities.

Steenroid's avatar

And if Corey has been advising her she got screwed in more than one way.

“And Kharg Island —Iran’s crown jewel— sits there undestroyed, waiting to be captured. A seized terminal is worth infinitely more than a bombed one.”

The unpriced scenario is the IRGC destroying the terminal themselves.

D&R’s Gma's avatar

Not sure the UAE et. al., would allow that. Just a guess but I’m going to place my bet on the other Middle East countries making sure that doesn’t happen. 🤷‍♀️ if I was a bettin gal… I’d be inclined to say that those fellas may already have that island under control. Just spitballing of course.

S.P.H.'s avatar

Iran lost their Navy and Air force. No way they can defend any of their possessions. All they can do now is take random offensive shots at friend and foe alike, and they are rapidly losing friends.
