NYT’s pet pandemic economist defends seed oils to smear RFK; Tale of Two Headlines as it smears Trump on DC crime while burying the lede; CA Dems push their worst drug-addled dream bill yet; more.
Here in Colorado, specifically in Larimer County, we are seeing a downward trend crime! Can you believe it? A downward trend! Because that’s what happens when you re-classify crime. And you call what used to be crimes misdemeanors. (Stealing catalytic converters used to be a CRIME. Now? No big deal. Just a misdemeanor.) You cook the books. And I’m sure that’s also happening in DC, in addition to relabeling violent crimes. Crime hasn’t changed. It’s just been renamed. Sneaky sneaky sneaky!
And that is a very easy way to prove efficacy. You get it or you don't. Now it is very easy to cook the books when a product claims to make the disease less severe or decrease hospitalizations. That is very difficult to prove and thus much easier to skew.
With the flu shot decades ago the claim was you would get a 'less severe' case if you did get the flu. Where was the severity line and who was determining whether the flu you got was less severe than the flu 'you never got' in the past?
My Dad bought the whole annual "shots you gtta git" lie, and got the flu, shingles, and I don' know what all other shots, annually for decades. What they DID NOT tell him was that all the "adjuvants" that came with the "free" shots would give him a free case of Parkinsons, which killed him.
If you dig into the issue, you'll find lots of cases/diseases/outbreaks where vaccinated folks get the illness--measles included. In fact, there are a number of the standard jabs that are well known for NOT stopping infection/transmission, just like the covid jabs failed to do. Check out the work of Aaron Siri here in Substack. His Stack is "Injecting Freedom." Good stuff.
New Definition: The definition of vaccine was changed right in front of us... and so many didn't care. Perhaps they were acclimated to frequent and absurd change. This new generation is told to "embrace" change, whatever that means. In a way GenX accepted a lot of change as well.
My world was rocked when I read the word "unicorn" in the KJV. My new worldview (call it Biblical) allowed me to discern that it was my own understanding that must be at fault. And despite its many foibles, this age of man does give us access to easy (if flawed) research. Perhaps it will come as a surprise to learn that until relatively recently (20th century) the word unicorn was shorthand for a type of rhinoceros; The Rhinoceros Unicornis. Now the passages from Numbers (23:22, 24:8), Job (39:9-10), and Psalms (29:6, 92:10) make perfect sense. "Will the Rhinoceros be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib" (Job 39:9, KJV)?
This was my spiritual introduction to the fascinating rabbit-hole of Biblical Etymology. It isn't the translations that are wrong, but our minds which have been transmogrified by the spirit of the age. They stole our language and used it to rewire our thinking.
Part of the problem we have with full understanding of we normals read greek or hebrew, and even if we did, both languages have changed much since the old biblical texts were first written. THEN we have the added confusion tha many of the earlyy church manuscrips were translted to latin, in what today would be called "boiler room" workshops where very sloppy translation was the certain result. They were paid by the word or page, not by the hour. Mere hirelings, not scholars.
I learned that an early greek to latin translation of an account by an early church father stated that the writer declared that John's REvelation was written in the year 93 AD. That's what the latin version said. Laer the original greek was uncovered, and that same account was found.... thanks to the accuracy of greek as a language, the original made it clear that what was seen in 93 was NOT the Revelation itself, but the WRITER of that Revelation. VERY different thing.
I always wondered how it could be that all the destruction of Jerusalem, the Temple, the flight from Jerusalem as Jesus advised "when you see...." could possibly have happened without one word of mention if the Revelation had been written twenty plus years after those cataclysmic events had happened PRIOR to Jphn's writing.
The Book itself dates its writing within a very narrow (perhaps six months) window as being early in the reign of Nero (spring/early summer 64 to April 68) and that makes everything Jesus (Matt 23,4) and John predicted as happening before the fall of Jerusalem happen within the narrow time frame (before THIS present generation passes away) given for "all these things".
With the often cited date for the writing of the Revelation being 92 or so, nothing fits, so folks have to "get creative" to explain what lies ahead for us now. If it already happened then it is not future, but if you think its all yet to happen you'll be waiting a long time and........ wondering........
I have little doubt that at least most of the prophecy was fulfilled. Perhaps all of it. It may be repeating now, but it seems a difficult argument to make that scripture would speak of a temple to be destroyed and not mention that it would be destroyed, rebuilt, and then destroyed again. The language differences aren't as big a problem as it may seem. The Greek Septuagint was made by Hebrew scholars in the 3rd century. My non-scholar self does dispute the word "lucifer" used in Isaiah 14:22. That is not an English translation but a translation from Latin to English. The Latin word was translated from the Greek word for 'Phosphorous' so if the original Hebrew word "Hay-lale" really meant what they think, a better English translation would have been phosphorous. I have read a compelling argument that the root was wrong though and it may have simply meant "wail" which fits better. It can be difficult with words that are only used once as is true for both the Hebrew and the Latin-English. I do know that the satanists like to call their evil prince by that name but I don't think the Bible ever did.
I keep sharing this nasty truth to whomever will listen to me! Most of the listeners are stupified because they just 'accept' whatever the media and our corrupted governmental systems 'spout'!
In 2009 WHO rewrote the definition of a pandemic. Without this rewrite they would not be able to have called covid a "pandemic".
"By changing the definition of “pandemic” in May 2009 the WHO can declare a PHEIC for the seasonal flu across the globe, excessive mortality and relative lethality are no longer a criteria to be considered. Declaring a PHEIC is grounds for using vaccines under emergency status."
they rewrote the definition of herd immunity, too. Then they started lumping flu, colds, covid, upper resp infections all under ILI: Influenza Like Illnesses. Anything to obfuscate the data.
Polio is the classic example. Used to include 9 or 10 other diseases, like transverse myelitis, Guilaine Barre syndrome, and more. Changed when the polio vaccine was released. Bottom line is the all vaccine did not cure or stop polio.
"The specific disease doctrine is the grand refuge of weak, uncultured, unstable minds, such as now rule in the medical profession." Florence Nightengale 1860.
I lived in Denver between 1995 and 2002, when Wellington Webb was mayor and Govs. Roy Romer (D, but not libtoon) and Bill Owens (R) were in office. The Californication had begun, but at the time was mostly isolated to the People's Republic of Boulder. I shudder to think that my husband and I had actually once considered retiring there. Thankfully, we quickly came to our senses and took all of our money and assets to the Free State of Florida. No regrets!
So many of the Western large states are run by the cities because of the numbers. Not all of CA is insane but we have to live like we are. I've heard the same of Colorado and Oregan.
In fairness, you don't "have to" live there at all. Things worth having are not always easy. It was NOT easy to leave everything I knew and nearly everyone I loved to flee kommie NJ for Florida. Thankfully, my parents understood and supported me and my husband, and we took his mom with us. Result: We have extended her life for years. #SanctuaryPhil nearly killed her with his tyrannical plandemic lockdown.
It’s not that easy for most people. I’m glad you were able to do what you wished. But what I think of, is what guarantee do you have that the state you move to won’t also go downhill in a couple years? Do you just keep flipping around the country uprooting everything and everyone to flee all the time? At some point you will have to stand your ground and fight. And that’s where we’re at in Oregon, we’re starting to find our people and fight. We had a lot of luck to get through first and still do…
I fought for decades in kommie NJ. Got nowhere. Have you seen their gerrymandered Congressional districts? As bad as Illinois. Maybe worse.
With that said, I appreciate your spirit, and sincerely wish you all the very best in Oregon, where the cities are among our country's worst Antifa-infested hellholes. Is Greater Idaho still happening? That would be outstanding.
I moved to NJ in 1966 and went to Jr. HS and HS there. It was a nice place. No sales tax, you could make a left turn, and the commies had not yet overran the entire state government,
I amend your comment re "not all Californians are insane but we have to like we are" to say "...and if we APPEAR crazy, keep in mind that we are driven there daily, weekly, monthly!" (Thanks, Newssolini!🤬)
Born, raised and lived (still living ... i ain't dead yet) in this once pristine State. It is still Blessed & Beautiful to natives and long time dwellers...with its weather and amazing resources and endless sights & sites!
But 51 years in this house finds me frustrated by neighbors who don't/won't speak English and disrespectful young people blasting the bass from their cars... never mind the new breed of wanna'-be thugs in the Village and on the streets where my kids played safely decades back.
I hear you! Been in So CAL most of my life and recently moved to Nor Cal. Still very blue but it's beautiful and much cleaner .... air is better and my kids are here. Also the people are very nice. We live in a small town ... not any of the big cities. We all make compromises ... this was a good one family wise.
Great little towns in the North of the State. You made a good choice. And some of the Northern counties (Stanislaus, El Dorado, Mariposa, etc are far more Red than Blue.
I used to consider Castro Valley a medium size town, because we are unincorporated. But the newbies want it all changed. They are fighting us oldies to incorporate! 🤬
Unfortunately, my town is in BLUUUE Alameda County.😬
We lived in Denver area for 15 years until it started going off the rails. It’s so sad to see what the libs have done to a beautiful place!!! We too moved to the free state of Florida & LOVE IT!!! I’m saddened though because our son & his family are still stuck there for now.
I still live north of Denver. We moved to CO in 1989. Such a different place back then. Was still a great place and quite affordable. Cheaper than the suburbs of Detroit back then. Now it is a dive. Horrible politics and loons. During Covid, Denver Metro was a tyrannical hellhole. No accountability for that too and the loons voted the garbage Governor back in. People living there are snots too. Think they know everything, yet know very little. Skiing is chore as well unless you can go during the week.
Marxist. Redefine words. What’s good becomes bad and vice versa. Boys become girls because they say so, etc. “Keep people from their history and they are easily controlled.”
We had a warning two thousand years ago: "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20)
I read 1984 again last year with fresh eyes, and it didn't seem so far fetched anymore. It could easily become reality if they remove cash and have total surveillance "for our own good." They are planning those now with the 5g towers, jabs with heavy metals, digital ID, and continued talking heads on tv. The book was depressing with no happy ending but thanks be to God, maker of heaven and earth, we will have a happy ending and the children of the devil will not.
Haha yes. I'm one of those small quantity Shoppers at the grocery stores when I go.Although if it's Whole Foods, everything there is so expensive that it ends up being Often over $20 as it was today. Anytime my bill is under$20 at any kind of retail establishment, it's cash.
I wonder how Orwell came up with it. Did he know and by their rules, have to tell us OR was he a dissident, and wanted to warn us? I recall he spent time in jail but don't remember much of his life.
I believe he wrote this in the years just after WWII and saw the rise of Communism in Russian and China and with his imagination projected what the extreme application of such a society could be in 50 years or so. Well, 38? actually since he named it 1984!
Reclassification is one way polio disappeared after the vaccine came out: now it is GBS, acute flaccid myelitis, Bell’s palsy, etc. Though one of the main ways was stopping the use of DDT.
YEP! It never occurred to most people that the “outdoorsy type” kids got polio, while the bookish kids didn’t. All the apple orchard kids got it and their siblings didn’t. That’s another pointer to, it wasn’t a virus. Idk abt y’all but never in our family of 5, has one kid gotten a cold without the other 2 also getting it.
I had to look it up. Oh, yes. I heard about that. Surprise- Bill Gates is behind it. TA-DA! I hope they have to label the stuff. I see it is now at Cosco.
It's really scary. I buy our meat from a small producer. grass fed-finish and all the rest. More expensive, but we find we eat less of it and are satisfied.
I think our bodies know when they get good nutrition so don't have to eat as much.
Same here. Get meat from a local farmer and I was nearly going to go vegetarian as I couldn’t stand meat; the smell, taste, texture. Made me nauseous.
Now, I’m loving his meat! It’s produced completely cleanly, no vaccines or unnecessary antibiotics and his animals are free and wild in his pastures, I see them when I pick up the meat. Like you said too, you don’t feel you need to eat as much, you’re satisfied and man, the smells, taste, texture is mouth watering.
We also eat a lot more game and non mainstream meats, as well as wild caught fish. Bison, elk, duck, venison. And all grass fed beef, same with milk and cream.
Apeel is a coating to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer. It’s made of mono and diglycerides. There is an organic version and a conventional version. I wrote to the company about 8 months ago to ask about long term studies regarding consuming the coating on a daily basis…nada. Complain to your local grocers.
That's what a commenter said.. I don't shop there, but I heard about the stuff. Gates is behind it, so in my world it cannot be something I want to eat.
Very interesting—eating less and feeling satisfied. Then read your conclusion. I think husband and I are experiencing the same. Each year I produce more of our food…..although am restricted to plant food.
My theory is that part of the "big food" companies' plan is to provide useless "food" that has no or little nutrition so we eat and eat and eat at great cost, but no health. Then, the medical industrial complex kicks in to put up on drugs for the rest of our lives. No prevention, no cure, and another pill to take on top of the originals to take care of the side effects. THAT pill has side effects.
The drug cartels should learn from these "legitimate" companies.
My dad received the polio “vaccine” and said he almost immediately got basically polio symptoms after it. He recovered eventually, but what’s your take on that? What did they put in the “vaccine?” He said it was like a sugar cube they have the school kids?
Yes some of the early polio vaccines caused paralysis, and we’re also tainted by SV40, a known carcinogen, which shuts down your protective P53 guardian genes. I met a man who received one of the early vaccines and was immediately paralyzed. Eventually, he was able to walk the leg braces, but the damage was permanent.
I remember having to line up in school for the sugar cube. We all took it—sugar? Sure! It is criminal what the Pharma/medical/government industrial complex has done to its people. Criminal!
That was the original live virus vaccine placed on a sugar cube. Yes, it could cause polio and spread it through the feces. Remember, diapers were not disposable back then.
Never forget that. By everything, it means everything, including so many peoples' sacred cows. Before too long, I predict all of these sacred cows will be scattered to the 4 winds, and the majority of the population, including many readers here, are going to want to sit in a corner and never leave.
We got out of Colorado four years ago after the horrible way we were treated during Covid. The state has continued to go downhill under the leadership of evil Jared Polis. We couldn't find even one pastor like Jack Hibbs who would speak out. We listen to Jack every week. He is one in a million and has been bucking the system for a long time. God bless him!
The gender nonsense is also reclassification. Note, at one point homosexuals were considered mentally ill and treated by therapists. The psych board eventually “reclassified” homosexuality, too.
How the American Psychiatric Association decided in 1973 that homosexuality was no longer a mental illness after it was taken over by .... homosexuals. https://www.thisamericanlife.org/204/81-words
The gender nonsense, and much of what is now called "beautiful," but is not, is really a denial of God and his creation. Many are simply denying God in saying that a man can be a woman, and vice versa.
The men believing they are women and changing their bodies are STILL mentally ill. They’ve simply been able to redefine their illness. Pedophiles are trying the same by calling themselves ’minor attracted’.
One way to cook the crime books - police don’t take statements after a crime. it happened to the poor woman who was beaten & punched repeatedly, knocked out in the streets of Cincinnati. She stated she regained consciousness, and the police were standing around with arms folded - just watching. They did not interview her or take a statement. Did not call an ambulance. She had to call an Uber to take her home.
You would think Florida would be better at dealing with crime, but check out this story from today. This horror had a long, long list of offenses and arrests for violent acts and he was still free to show up at the airport ready to do a mass shooting event.
I hope so! It seems the left targeted the justice system; getting into place prosecutors and judges that just let violent criminals go. As far back as I can remember, Republicans have run on promises to reduce crime, so the creation of the present system had been going on for more than 60 years. It needs dynamiting!
This is what happens when downward pressure from the mayors on the police chiefs want “results of lower crime statistics.” Give you an example, my former state, CA reclassified petty theft from anything under $450 in value to $950 and petty theft with a prior misdemeanors with a cite and release (ticket). It’s just a “property crime” so not so high priority.
Result was more property crimes and retail stores closing doors.
It did nothing to lower real crime rates. It only masqueraded the problem. We need to build MORE jails and prisons, not less. Lock these people up and see real results in our cities.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
I, as well as many people, only learned about the problem with seed oils in the last few years. I remember years ago when we were told to switch from butter to margarine, that is was more healthful. What a crock that was. I have used real butter for years now, but only the last few years switched from "vegetable" seed oils to olive oil and avocado oil. This current spotlight on seed oils also puts a spotlight on those in government and the medical establishment who do not have our best interests in mind, but their own special interests, and money.
We went “paleo” years ago and stopped all seed oils, reading labels assiduously. (If you’re going to do something, do it right, we thought 😁). Felt better almost instantly, although for me the adjustment to lower carbs was painful for about two weeks. Lost weight of course. We stayed pure paleo for four years, except for a little rice when we had Thai food. Gradually we’ve relaxed a bit (a world with no bread ever 😫 was too much), but still avoid sugar and seed oils. Sugar is super highly processed too. Think about the seed oils …. nature put them into tiny, hard-shelled seeds that pretty much only birds can access easily. My policy is to avoid as “food” anything that requires extensive extraction and processing. Seed oils are the epitome of this.
not everything is on the label. I called Hersheys to find out if their reeses cups are gmoed as it was not on the label. All Hersheys products, save one, are gmoed/bioengineered.
All food is GMO if you think about it. Nothing we eat today is in the original form. Disease, drought, pest resistance has been genetically introduced in all food grown for mass consumption.
They've conveniently put the bioengineered details behind the symbol you take a picture of. It leads to all the gory details and avoids having to admit, with actual words, on the label that the food is gmo/bioengineered.
Most brands of Ezekiel bread are made from organic, non-GMO grains that are certified glyphosate-free. This means that the wheat, barley, rye, and other grains used in the bread have not been treated with glyphosate.
However, it is important to note that some brands of Ezekiel bread may not be glyphosate-free. Always check the ingredients list to ensure that the bread is certified glyphosate-free if this is a concern for you.
I know it is approved on the Yucca App. And the Bobby Approved app. Both are supposed to help look for cleaner sourced, healthier choices but I have not looked any deeper on those.
I always buy the regular size. But I’m happy you pointed out the canola oil in the slimmer version. Mahalos 🤙🏻 BTW, our Costco sells two loaves for under $13. I freeze them until I need to use them. Our stores sell one loaf for $9.99 - insanity. The cost of living in paradise (heavy sigh)
Yeah, it'll just cost you 4 times the amount for the bread the size of an oversized saltine. It makes me so mad how much good food costs over all the other crap in the grocery stores.
We don’t eat much sugar, but I make desserts for events. A few years ago I discovered Just Panela, which is sugar cane juice dried in the sun and then pulverized. That’s all. I use it in everything except cakes or meringues, which need sugar that dissolves rapidly. And it’s delicious.
My dad’s family from a farm in Texas used sorghum and molasses for pancake syrup- as a kid I hated them because I was used to fake Log Cabin colored and flavored corn syrup 🤣
I keep meaning to try baking bread with Sorghum (I recently found out that you can get various types of sorghum, some of which is sweet, some of which is not).
It's eye opening to say the least. My grandfather always said "If you need a degree in chemistry to understand what you are eating, then don't eat it." He warned against doctors too. PawPaw was ahead of his time. I really miss him.🥰
It is the best we can do other than grow our own food.
I get exhausted looking at labels because they change the meaning of words just like in everything else.
Natural flavorings for example, can include senomyx flavors from using aborted baby parts for testing and may be included in the flavors as well. Look senomyx up and with just a little digging it is pretty awful.
If you can simplify your food too: find a local meat farmer, grow as many of your veggies/fruits as you can or get from Saturday Markets, buy grains from someplace like Azure Standard, and find a local milk producer. You’ve covered all the foods your body really needs. It takes a lot of effort ahead of time, but once you have them in place you don’t have to look at labels as much because there aren’t any and you know it’s fresh and local and free of the things you want to avoid. It’s been my goal and I’m 90% there. Just waiting on my fruit trees to amp up production. I’ve done all this is less than two years with just 1/5 acre land. You can do it on smaller land or no land if you find local producers.
We had good success switching to making our own with a SodaStream. Carbonate the water, then add a little stevia (or sugar if you prefer) and fruit/juice. DO NOT buy the SodaStream (or comparable product) flavorings; they're full of crap and negate the whole idea of making a healthier version.
Saves money even though you need to buy the CO2 cylinders. One makes 60L. I calculate we're paying 43 cents per liter.
If you mail back the empties (they come with a reusable box and prepaid label) they'll send you a credit towards your next CO2 purchase.
Side benefit: cuts effort and waste. No lugging packs of cans or liter bottles home, using up cabinet space, and then dealing with the empties.
I like carbonated water and have been using a SodaStream for years. But recently I have been adding LMNT (get it? element?) which has sodium, potassium and magnesium in it. I like the grapefruit and lemonade flavors the best. Check out DrinkLMNT.com. I stopped drinking sodas years ago when I found out how bad they were.
If the carbonation is what you enjoy about sodas and don’t mind less flavor, I find the drinks like Lacroix are incredibly satisfying. I don’t even need one can to satisfy that carbonation “fix.” No sugar and just pure slightly flavored carbonated water. It does take a bit to be okay with less flavor, but so much better than all the sugar in reg carbonated drinks.
I have found that you can have a sweet carbonated drink and control the sugar amount by taking a product like Juicy Juice or Ocean Spray hundred percent juice and mixing about one ounce of juice with 6 to 12 oz. (according to preference) of flavored seltzer water such as Polar. It results in a sweet carbonated drink with only around 4 g of sugar. My friend’s 8 year old twin boys didn’t like the flavored seltzer water by itself, but liked it with the addition of only a little juice. My son, who has been addicted to Coca-Cola (@39g sugar/12 oz.) for years finally tried it
They won't tell you and they are less than they are required to reveal. Wine products also add PH modifiers to change the taste. These chemicals may not be bad, but I won't buy their products if the're not going to tell me what's in them.
I stopped drinking sodas years ago. And replaced it with seltzer water. For those who have Costco access, this is the best quality for price I’ve found.
My kids' food allergies made it necessary to become avid label readers. And the more simple and fewer ingredients the better and easier! (As an aside, I have 5 kids over the span of 15 years from 2002-2017. The first two have no allergies, and it gets worse and worse as you go down the line. My youngest, it feels sometimes, is allergic to the whole world!)
And thank you for having a larger family! I’m one of 11 and while we have our differences, they are my best friends and we had the best life and continue to have it because of all of us with our quirks and faults and fun. I love every one of them! Our parents blessed us with our large family. 😊
I would love one day if they can change the word “allergy” to something more accurate like “poisoning reaction” as that is more what’s going on, I believe. A true allergic reaction is hives, trouble breathing, itching, etc, depending on severity. It’s a whole different cascade of symptoms different to what most people understand as an “allergy.” A stomach ache or feeling weird or diarrhea or general intolerance of foods is not a true allergy. It’s a reaction to something not good for the body. It’s how your body tries to eliminate foreign things that are bad for it.
I think doctors/researchers using that term are in a way putting the blame back to the patient, to their bodies that are “malfunctioning.” Instead of saying their bodies are slowly being poisoned by our food system and vaccines and medicines. Especially for kids to have allergies. Kids, whose bodies are perfect and new and have no reason to be “malfunctioning” should not be having issues with food.
This is me ranting against the machine and not you by the way! We are all in this together to protect our kids and fix the system for them!
WW2 intro because England purged all it's animals! Globalists trying to purge humans so they don't have to control so much! Someone always wants to repeat the worst of history.
I think foods cooked in olive 🫒 oil taste so much better than those cooked in seed oils. I also only use olive & avocado oils. Once in a while, I might use sunflower 🌻 oil, but it’s not my preferred option.
My Grandma immigrated from Norway in the late 1800's. I remember that she was built like a 55 gallon drum with bingo arms. She cooked exclusively with lard and lived to be 92. Grew up with lard. My mom rendered her own from pork fat she got at the local butcher. The house stunk for weeks.....
It definitely does! Corn on the cob! Nothing better! I grew up on butter living on a dairy farm. For a time went away from it when margarine was deemed healthier. I realized that it lasted forever in the fridge, so bye, bye. Married someone of Italian descent and after a trip to Italy a couple of decades ago, learned how to cook fresher and lighter. More effort but better results.
I hate to burst your bubble, but unless the corn is labeled "non GMO" it has probably been bathed in Roundup -glyphosate. The crop is sprayed with it because the corn is easier to pick after the stalks are killed. Maybe not the right verbage. Non-GMO products cannot stand up to glyphosate. The "scientists" have genetically modified (GMO) the seeds for that purpose.
We buy from local small farmers near us who have farm stands. They do not spray their sweet corn. I would never buy supermarket corn on the cob. The secret to most in season delicacies is knowing to eat them fresh while they are in season and buy locally.
How rich the butter is depends on the kind of cows you get the milk and butterfat from. Grass fed is better but not practical for most modern day operations. Jersey cows are the smallest dairy cow but their milk is highest in butterfat, hence the richest butter and ice creams. Holsteins are the most widely used for all dairy, but the least rich in butterfat content.
I use it for “oil pulling” (swish around in my mouth for as long as I can stand it, usually 5-10 minutes) and spit out (into the trash not the sink since it can clog). It whitens my teeth and keeps my gums healthy.
A spoonful. It liquefies in your mouth if it’s solid. I swish it around for up to 20 minutes (usually more like 5-10) then spit it out into a paper towel or Kleenex and put it in the trash. You can look it up online under the term “oil pulling.” There are different ideas about how exactly to do it and with which oil but I have found coconut oil to be very effective and easy to use, personally.
Olive oil does not do well at high temps. It is not good for frying. Sauté yes. It is one of my favorite times of year in the Midwest. Cook up some el dente’ pasta, throw it in with some chopped garlic, chopped fresh tomatoes just warmed in olive oil, warm that add fresh basil and Parmesan cheese fresh grated. The best!
I’ve started to use coconut oil last few years because it has a higher smoke point than olive oil for sautéing and it’s good for you. Years ago they villainized coconut oil for seed oils.
I use butter mostly. I keep a crock by my stove to pour my daily bacon grease (because you MUST have bacon every day. Lol,) through a sieve into it and grab a dollop of that to keep the butter from burning. And we use avocado oil for the liquid form when needed. (Can’t seem to get my husband to like how his stove popped popcorn tastes with bacon grease 🤣 so avocado oil it is.)
Sadly, doesn't help that the USDA and FDA helped all this mess along. My mom was a big believer in following the experts' recommendations so we jumped on the "food pyramid" train when I was young - lots of carbs, little meat. Then "butter is bad" so - margarine. "Heart-healthy" seed oils were in and natural oils were out. Still trying to undo years of damage from all of that. It wasn't until I came across some responses to Super-Size Me (started with Fat Head, cheesy, but useful) that I realized how much all of those experts had lied about over the years. :(
Yes, I forget the book name but I read about the pyramid lie years ago. It’s really astonishing if you’ve never read the history that they got away with it. It’s all based on one very poorly orchestrated study.
They are using this in Rabies, Dog Flu and Feline Leukemia shots. JUST SAY NO. DEMAND TO LOOK AT THE LABEL ON THE "VACCINE" VIALS. Demand the no thiomersal Rabies shot instead if you are not doing blood titering or have to get the Rabies. Demand Informed Consent for your pets or ask for the package insert and read the info yourself.
Most vets are blue pilled and will not do their research on this. Please be careful and just say NO to this. No long term studies. It is not just humans but our beloved pets we need to watch out for.
Look for a holistic vet instead of an allopathic vet. Here is a link to find one near you.
I heard recently that Trump talked to the Coke people and they are going to sell Coke made with sugar in the US soon. I need my one mini-Coke on the weekend! Although I got some natural cola syrup from Vermont Country Store, and it’s really good with Italian sparkling water.
It's great, but as a covid blog we should be more heated about the slowness in rolling back The Shots. There's so many gatekeepers saying we should be content in waiting.
I'm not in the camp of being so complacent about the snails pace.
Funny you used the word “crock” because we used margarine called “country crock”. It’s like they were saying the quiet part out loud but it was so obvious we missed it! We stopped using that crap decades ago when my husband, from the south, started cooking for me with real butter and I couldn’t believe how delicious everything tasted!
Yes, and the “low-fat diet is healthy” lie still lives on. Food companies still make low fat products, doctors still push this fraud on their patients and on it goes, along with those dangerous statin drugs for cholesterol and the seed oils. The science fraud, wholly dependent on who is paying for the study.
That is the main reason I started making my own granola with coconut oil. I love high protein yogurt with granola and a handful of berries for breakfast but the seed oils took the pleasure out of it.
I have read and heard from others that most olive oils found in grocery stores, even the EVOO, are adulterated with seed oils. I now get all my oils at olive oil stores and buy the oil with the highest polyphenols.
It’s Rapeseed oil, not Canola! Made in a refinery, y’know, like gasoline. Butter is better. All seed oils are highly processed in CHEMICAL plants. Rapeseed oil was used as lamp oil and a machine lubricant prior to use in foods. Olive oil or avocado oil is much better. Coconut oil, too. Stay away from processed oils.
My grandma and mother, both excellent bakers, made flaky pie crusts with lard. They used what was at hand. The old saying goes they used everything but the oink. People had physical labor back then. So pie crusts made with lard, bacon, corn on the cob, homemade ice cream were allowed, the calories would be worked off. Today, our children are not active and our jobs make us slugs, we just sit. I don’t know how to change the pattern other than eat more fresh food and read labels.
I just got some very old pictures of my mom and her family from the 1930's, 40's, & 50's. They were so thin! When I went to my grandparents in the 50's & 60's, the table would be so full of food, you could hardly get your plate in front of you. Homemade biscuits at every breakfast, homemade rolls at dinner & lunch, and homemade bread for sandwiches as snacks! Grandmum would clear the breakfast table, wash the dishes, & start on lunch! When lunch was done, wash the dishes, start on dinner. In between, she canned vegetables & fruits. She spent the evening on the porch snapping peas or harvesting the garden, or picking out which rooster or hen would be Sunday lunch, or baking a pie or making cookies, or homemade ice cream. She spent probably ten hours a day in that kitchen. And they all smoked like chimneys...
You see a solid bright yellow field in the summer—that’s rapeseed. There is a video on how canola is processed. You will never touch the stuff again. I read all labels, which is why I skip most aisles in the grocery stores.
It is gorgeous and eye catching. I first saw those fields in Britain on my first trip there. Rapeseed isn’t common in the Illinois rural area I live in but last year there was a field of rapeseed by our library. I took some pictures.
Ah, and Shedd’s Spread. So much better than butter, according to ‘health experts’ from the 70’s and 80’s. Doctors practice their medicine rather than knowing? I want a doctor that knows, not one that practices.
Yes- it and the others were industrial lubricants. Rockerfeller and Kellogg were in on it. By FURTHER processing the oils they could pass them off as "food." much more profitable. Buy off a few medical studies and, boom...healthier
My mom lost a bunch of weight on the mazola oil diet, circa early ‘70s. I think it made food/nutrients slide through… she died from pancreatic cancer less than 10 years later.
Who would use an oil called rapeseed oil. I think they felt compelled to rename. It has also been genetically modified for decades. I know someone who started the process in the 80s.
Actually yes, in the same way an olive and an avocado are seeds. But the oils from these fruits are pressed from the fruit’s flesh and not from their seeds.
These oils were originally industrial lubricants. Rockerfeller and Kellogg (yup- that one) got together and figured out how to further process the stuff to make it "food."
Hunga Tonga and the shifting core of the Earth may sort things out. We live in interesting times.
My Dad was one of the founders of the electronics industry as we know it today. He lived long enough to say that he thought the internet would be the death of humanity. I have yet to find anyone who disagrees.
Has anyone heard of Zero Acre Farms cultured oil made from fermenting sugar cane? I was wondering if it could be another healthy alternative as it has a high smoke point.
The key to its health would be how much Linoleic Acid it contains. My first concern is that it only exists due to some kind of sophisticated processing, unlike tallow, lard, and butter which are minimally processed and nutrient dense and especially that they are ancient fat sources in human history.
Jeff, I am so grateful you talked about that terrible bill in our state of California. It’s so funny that I was gonna ask you about it in today’s post before I even read it. Thank you for bringing light to this catastrophic bill for our children. I work in a public elementary school in the front office. And I have been extremely concerned about this. I follow Jack Hibbs and have been to his church. His political views are biblical and I’m so grateful for his warrior spirit.
Ditto!!! Please share the opportunity we have to make our voices heard by coming to the CA Capital steps in Sac on Aug. 19 to stand against this bill (and others that are just as bad like the Trevor Project “counseling”) Please help share with others that might be able to attend, raise awareness, & pray. This may seem like a CA issue but the influence will be felt across our whole country. Please pray and stand with us… link for California Family Council’s page with great details to stay informed incliding a video by Nicole Pearson (CA Atty who also stood w us against the lockdowns & for Med freedom) presents before legislature. (There is a signup link for “tickets” - really just a signup to let them know they can count on you and give logistics details. Not really tickets, no cost) https://www.californiafamily.org/2025/07/presto-someone-walks-away-with-your-child-critics-slam-ab-495s-threat-to-parental-rights/
"...if an illegal alien is seized and deported in the morning, who will pick up their child from school?" Surely this is a real problem for some actual children. What is the current practice? What is your proposed remedy?
Of course CA has child protective services. That's who would pick the child up. And I highly doubt it happens so much they need a state law for it. The local school has processes in place. That bill is designed for other purposes.
I cannot honestly see ANY ILLEGAL being immediately deported. Who writes these fairy tales? Remember Trump is being forced to give every illegal his “rights” to a hearing…which ticks me off tremendously.
I would be surprised if ICE allows folks they pick up to make phone calls to arrange for their children's care. Even assuming that they have people they can call.
When raising my 2 kids, I used to pick up an apple or an orange and ask what are the ingredients in this food? “There’s no ingredients listed, Mom - geez.” Exactly! Don’t eat foods with names you can’t even pronounce – like Diammonium Phosphate or Glycerol Monostearate. Eat whole foods that don’t need labels to show what the ingredients are.
Even something natural can ‘look’ like a chemical concoction if you break it down, so just be careful if you ever see a random list of chemical sounding stuff and don’t assume it isn’t healthy. The chemical name of a carbohydrate sounds very complex and it is natural!
So NOW olive oil and avocado oil are seed oils too and not good for us either?!!
I gotta say….many of us have changed our eating and purchasing habits, but it has gotten exhausting trying to keep up with all the good stuff we changed only to find out it’s not good either. I’m actually quite sick of all the conflicting information that we are supposed to understand. -This is true! No that is true not this! Believe me I’m a doctor. No believe me I’m a scientist. No believe me I have no education just my own research and they are all wrong and I am right. Who the actual hell are we supposed to believe anymore? The information war rages on. On Every. Single. Topic. I’m exhausted mentally. I’m out. Avocado, olive oil and coconut oil is what we are sticking with. But I do look for real butter!
Coconut oil is also pressed from the flesh. You can make your own olive, avocado, and coconut oil at home. I researched it all a bit just this morning!!!
I remember visiting the ancestral island of my grandmother in Greece, and how many locals shared with neighbors their own pressed olive oil from their olive groves.
“As a backlash to this anti-cholesterol mania, a reactionary war of “good fats” ensued. People bought, and still are buying olive and avocado oil in droves. Again, having these oils in their natural, cold-pressed form is healthy, however they are seed oils, and cooking with them can cause them to break down, leading to inflammation in our bodies.”
Hi Sunny, thanks for your comment. I need to revise my article with a caveat, that it depends on the cooking temp. Cooking olive oil at high heat is a bad idea, as it will smoke more quickly and will oxidize, vs lard which does not smoke / oxidize as rapidly. Does that help clarify?
Yes that does help clarify! Thank you! I do not cook on high heat with either oil. I do understand smoke points and how bad the high heat even with good oil is for us. I appreciate your clarification.
Studies and testing on Extra Virgin olive oil sold here in the USA found that about 73% of the most popular brands of olive oil sold in the US, had been adulterated by lesser quality oils and did not pass the scientific testing for Extra Virgin Olive Oil despite what their labels declared.
Unless you’re buying the expensive ones that either come from estates in Europe or from California here. It’s the cheaper labels, found on the bottom shelves in the grocery stores that are usually adulterated.
There are countries that don’t allow their olive oils to be adulterated. I saw a list a few years ago (source unknown). Quite a few were Muslim countries. Do your research on EVOO because the price point doesn’t tell the whole story.
Did you read Roman S link above? That’s where it was stated they are seed oils with all the other research. I read it several times to make sure I saw that right.
He’s wrong about that. In the processing of olives and avocados, the oil is pressed out of the flesh, not the seeds. And no heat is involved, as is the case with seed oils. I don’t know of anyone who writes about those two oils who has ever made the claim that olive and avocado oils are seed oils! You can watch videos of how the oil is extracted and it’s not from the seeds or, more properly, the pits. Years ago on a Greek island I watched olive oil being made. The pits were discarded prior to the fruit being pressed.
Thank you for clarifying. I will revise the article accordingly. That said - cooking temp does matter, and olive oil is much more sensitive to high heat than clarified butter, and why I use ghee all the time.
That’s true about olive and avocado oils so they are best used for salad dressings and mayonnaise and other dishes that don’t require heat. Animal fats can withstand high temperatures and remain shelf stable much longer.
Sunnydaze, exactly this! I am so very weary of all of it!
We have several family members with debilitating health conditions and I have been chasing down possible solutions since "modern" allopathic medicine has been completely useless. After some initial success with naturopathic methods for a couple of conditions, other recommendations have not panned out as I had hoped. It is frustrating and confusing. For now, I am sticking to low/anti-inflammatory foods and supplements that support the immune system, and will continue researching on the specific conditions for which we are hoping to find help. I continue to pray for discernment, but it hard to not be discouraged, especially when loved ones are in such misery.
I’m glad I’m not the emotionally exhausted seeker of the truth who is tired of ALL the inconsistencies and contrary information about what is actually healthy. I’ve watched loved one with severe illnesses die in the last five years…. At least 6 right off the top of my head. I know there’s more. Some ate organic, some didn’t. Some got jabbed, some didn’t. Some did chemo, some didn’t. Some ate plant based, some didn’t. There’s no rhyme or reason to any of what I’m seeing. I don’t know what to believe anymore. I’m just trusting God to show me what’s best for my family.
No, you are not alone. I suspect there are a great many like us, who just want to know what to do without all the competing interests throwing monkey wrenches in the gears of understanding and truth. My prayers are with you and yours.
Agreed! But there are a lot of overlooked reasons why people are sick, especially when they try to follow all the so called rules. First off is your teeth. Hard to believe but the health of your teeth can have a profound effect on your health. Think of them as the canary in the coal mine. If you have a lot of tooth infections and they try and cover it up with a root canal, you are in trouble. Root canals are toxic! Dead tissue should NEVER be left in the body. They can never clean out the tooth completely and then they pack it full of basically filler to trap all that bacteria in your dead tooth that is still connected to your body. Teeth first when looking for causes. Read “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” by Weston A. Price. A real eye opener written over 85 years ago.
I do understand about that. I had ONE root canal as a 10 yr old. Had nothing but problems with it. Over and over again. As an adult at like 28 yrs old finally had them go in there and pull out everything. Fine ever since and I would never ever do a root canal ever again. I cringe when I hear people saying they need to get a root canal. Ugh
So sorry, Mrs. Knife. Physical suffering is tough, but spiritual health is more important. The main thing is to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross for our eternal salvation. I will pray for you and your loved ones.
Thank you, Margot! I am sorry if I came across as not trusting in what G-d is doing in the lives of each of my family. In fact, that is where the praying for discernment is so necessary. I don't know how G-d is using each persons' circumstance to draw them closer to Him and refine their faith. They are all believers, at various stages along the narrow path.
I am the oldest sibling and I was responsible for my siblings growing up; I also took care of my niece and nephews when they were little. I am seriously hard-wired to "help" where ever I am able. So, I research everything I find, in case the Lord shows me something that will help. Maybe I am His "hands and feet" in some of these situations. I don't know, I just keep praying for wisdom and discernment.
Margot, thank you again for the encouragement and prayer!
My son who lost his colon to Crohn’s disease is hyper-vigilant about saving the rest of his digestive tract. He is now exploring apricot seeds aka Laetrile. Anyone remember that from Steve McQueen’s tx in Mexico? “There is nothing new under the sun.” The internet has changed the way we take care of ourselves. 🙏🙏🙏
I choose to eat well (natural as much as possible - definitely butter, olive oil, coconut oil), exercise when I have time and trust the Lord with the food and my health!
You are right - every decade and sometimes every year there is a "new statistic" of how we should be eating to be "healthy!"
A person could go crazy - or just stop listening and make good personal decisions! 😍
Olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil are NOT seed oils. For example, avocado oil comes from the pulp of the olive, not the seed. Research the others online to understand why they are not either.
Did you read Roman S link above? That’s where it was stated they are seed oils.
He is correct that olive and avocado oils can break down during high heat and thus are best used for salad dressings and the like. In addition, they both contain around 10% linoleic acid which is the omega 6 you need to avoid because it’s inflammatory.
Omega 6 is an essential oil, but our diets have way too much of it and too much is unhealthy. It can take up to 7 years to rid our bodies of excess omega 6 oils. And in any case, the process required to process seeds is just plain gross, as Jeff describes it today.
Isn't it interesting that the Bible refers to olive oil a LOT. And milk, honey, figs, wine, and meat. These days, if I understand correctly, the trouble with even extra virgin olive oil is that most of it is cut with these other, bad, oils. So you have to find the real deal, and that's tough to do. My husband was just in Rome, and he had shipped home several bottles of EVOO (a nice surprise for me!). The stuff is so fresh and potent (PEPPERY) that it made me cough violently the first sip I tried of it. That's what you're looking for.
Most olive oils from estates in Italy, Greece, or Spain are not adulterated. But they are pricey. Buy the stuff from the too shelf, not the cheap stuff on the lower shelves as those will be the adulterated oils.
Wonderful gift! The sniff test is important too..it tells you how fresh it is. It should have a strong and lovely aroma when you sniff the open bottle. I prefer Greek and Sicilian. Unfortunately my favorite Greek Kalamata oil is no longer available at Trader Joe's Greece had wild fires last summer that burned many olive trees. 😢
Therefore prices and availability has been affected.
No, Olive oil is pressed out easily without all the synthetic processing of seed oils. I have to admit that I am not sure about the process for avocado oil, but the seeds of avocados are massive, so I would bet that the oil is easily produced.
Did you read Roman S link above? That’s where it was stated they are seed oils too.
“As a backlash to this anti-cholesterol mania, a reactionary war of “good fats” ensued. People bought, and still are buying olive and avocado oil in droves. I agree, Sunnydaze. I recently saw a story online claiming olive oil is worse than the others for “causing obesity”. I just ignored it. I’m exhausted too. Glad I’m old, and closer to being at Home with Jesus!
Use the EWG site or Mammavation to find out the best products to use. Both have vetted/tested products for safety and side effects like allergies, toxins etc.
Yes! “Healthy” seems to be a constantly shifting target. I’ve been tuning OUT more and just looking back at what healthy populations used to eat (and how they used to move, which is a major factor in how we process all of our food and how healthy our bodies are) and trying to emulate that more.
Both my parents grew up on farms - Dad, a dairy farm and Mom, a pig farm. My dad’s work day, from childhood was insane, yet all the kids in his family (14!) thrived and have been extremely successful adults (their work ethic is unmatched from milking cows every day, to going to school between milkings, to farm chores, baling hay during the Indian summer of the Midwest - no sunscreen and never a sunburn, skin cancer wasn’t even a thing). They drank raw milk, butchered and processed their own livestock and grew huge gardens from which they preserved copious amounts of produce. My dad’s parents lived healthy lives into their 80s and my maternal grandma died just shy of 96, alert and active up to a week before she died.
Meanwhile, even though we eat as healthy as we can and move, almost all my peers are battling at least one autoimmune condition. And the stats (in my anecdotal experience) worsen when you go down each generation.
I agree. Our lifestyles are so different from back in the day. As a kid I grew up on a small farm. Had chores. Was never allowed to sleep in and be lazy. It was up and get going with something. I hated it of course. But, as an adult I now appreciate what I didn’t appreciate back then. We lost our way with technology taking over and cultural shifts that have not been good. I really do miss the good ole days.
Tell me about ghee. I see it and hear about it. I have someone in the family the struggles digestive with any dairy. So I haven’t even bothered to try it.
Buy a jar and try it out. It’s simply clarified butter. I prefer goat ghee to cow ghee. No special reason. Make sure the source is grass fed. Nearly every grocery store carries it.
Someone else, Lori, answered your question. I thought I was lactose intolerant until I went to Europe the first time. Our dairy is so full of junk- that's the problem. You might give ghee a try. If it doesn't work for your family member, you still have a great product for cooking. I get the organic jar at my Publix grocery. It goes a long way. I generally mix it with coconut or olive oil for cooking. Experiment with it.
I'm with ya! We can only do so much and then we have to be okay with it. So much fretting exhausts me that other health issues arise. I really cannot bake my own bread and make my own sugar. I'm a mom, a taxi, a cook, a tiny farmer, and the list goes on. I just cannot deal with all the stuff that we "have to worry about" regarding. Food. I try to use healthy but then the food budget explodes.
Almost my whole life, or just about as long as I can remember, I was given the impression that butter is bad for you. Greasy, makes you fat, lines your veins with cholesterol, too many calories, on and on. So much guilt associated with something I truly loved. So glad i can be guilt free over it these days. 😂
My mom, who had familial very high cholesterol (400) refused to give up butter and EVOO during the height of the advertising hysteria of Mazola corn oil in the 60s and 70s. She was so ahead of the times, believing that these age old fats were natural and therefore could not be bad.
She ranted about the subsidies to the corn industry promoting all things corn 🌽. (HF corn syrup instead of sugar, for instance)..all this before the internet!
She lived to 87, and had a strong heart until the end, despite her 'unheart healthy' diet!
Exactly. Pure common sense and logic. My mom was all in when they said it was so bad for your heart, and we stopped using butter when I was around 10. I continued on with the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" tubs after I grew up and had my own family. But my Grandma, who was smarter than all of us, would always say, "And I can't believe you believe that nonsense". We should have believed Her!
Sue, I look back at that WWII generation in my family and how they were the antithesis of what we were told was the "healthy" way to eat. They mostly grew up on farms or at the very least had big vegetable gardens and maybe a milk cow. They ate beef, pork, chicken, drank whole, raw milk, ate full fat dairy, real eggs, butter, put real cream in their coffee, and most of them were outside working. Pretty much all of them lived into their 80s and several lived to 95. One of my great-grandmothers (WWI generation) passed away a couple months shy of her 100th birthday and one of my grandmas lived to 100 years and 5 months.
If it hadn't been for New Mexico's draconian lockdowns on care facilities, I think she would have lived even longer. NM for some months would not let family members visit their loved ones in a care facility and then they would only let one family member visit once a month for 1 hour. We were not allowed to have a birthday party for her on her 100th birthday - they rolled her in a wheelchair out to the sidewalk and we drove past her in our vehicles decorated with "Happy 100th Birthday, Grandma!" signs and balloons. They did let us stand 6 feet away from her on the sidewalk to take a picture, so at least there was that.
Sorry for getting away from the topic - I guess it still rankles that my grandma spent her last 15 months isolated from family, which was her greatest joy in life, particularly in her last years as her body finally gave out and she could no longer go and do as she had done for 95 years. I think she just gave up.
Anyway, all these relatives ate real, whole food, were outside every day, worked hard, and lived into their 80s and 90s, and a couple hit the century mark. Pretty good recommendation for NOT following what any of the alphabet agencies recommend!
I was Pfizer vaccinated 3 times because If I did not, I would not be allowed to visit my mother in her long term board and care home, and I didn't want to lie and cheat by showing a fake "Covid Passport". In hindsight, I thoroughly regret it and feel stupid for not doing so, as the health issues I found myself suddenly dealing with by the end of 2022 I'm sure will take some years off of what I have left.
My grandma was the oldest girl of 12 (2 older brothers) and you sound a lot like her. I bet you are a tremendous blessing to all who know you, just as she was.
Pastor Hibbs has been endorsing candidates and standing against issues for quite a while. If you haven’t looked at it, his app.”Real Life Network” gives daily briefings regarding Israel and various political opinions in addition to his weekly sermons and podcast. He is definitely one of my favorite preachers because I believe he does stick to the Bible and speaks truth.
Pastor Gary Hammerick in Virginia at Cornerstone Chapel is great too!! Not afraid to stand up and stand tall. They’ve been investigated, fined, sued, and had govt officials sitting in their Sunday services to “gotchya” them. 😂 Pastor Gary doesn't cower in fear. Neither does Jack Hibbs. 💪🏻
I'm blessed to attend Pastor Gary Hamrick's church, Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA. He is currently standing up to the perpetually corrupt Loudoun County School Board for their "response" to the Dept of Education's demands for the county's schools for fix their title IX violations, which are well known and vast. This church, it's pastor, and attendees are holding LCPS to account..... and we are blessed. Would love to see Mr. Childers (C&C) cover this issue with 5 Northern Virginia school districts violations of title IX and how they are going to respond to losing fed $'s, if they don't comply.
That is fantastic that you get to attend there. We watch faithfully online. We saw the school board members last Sunday stand up and tell him what they were up against. Kudos for that Christian lady serving!! We had no idea it was even going on there except Pastor Gary telling everyone. I would love JChilders to cover it as well. We are standing with you!!!
Jack Hibbs has been preaching truth from the pulpit for these last 5 crazy years. I love listening to him. He is one of the few. I can't say enough good about him. My wife and I listen to his Sunday service online from PA. I pray that God continues to protect him from attack.
Agree! We listen to Jack Hibbs online quite a bit. He is not afraid to speak the truth. His church is always informed about what is going on outside the four walls of the church building. This new bill that is being proposed is a child trafficking giveaway!!! Horrific! Anyone who supports this should be voted out of office ASAP!!!! No excuses!
What Pastor Jack Hibbs said re: the Palestinians right after Oct 7: “This is a cancer within a people group”…. “No one, and I mean NO ONE wants these people.”
This is a CHRISTIAN PASTOR?!?! Is this what Jesus would say or do?
These fraud Evangelical Pastors are paid shills for Israel. Every week they preach their junk theology of the End Times and the need for a certain racial group (Jews, many of whom are non-practicing and atheists) to return to the Holy Land. Every year they plan their tours to the holy land, and urged their congregants to make huge donations to Israel.
Speaker Johnson has been captured by the Israeli lobby just like 70% of our elected representatives have.
Here’s more of what our paid members of Congress are doing this week, when they are recessed and should be meeting with their constituents (this week it’s the Republicans, next week it’s the Democrats… Because you know this is truly bipartisan issue🤮)
He is correct. The "Palestinians" are generally either from Egypt or Jordan and are actually Arabs. The first Arab that referred to himself as Palestinian was Yasser Arafat who was from Egypt. Prior to that, the reference to Palestine referred to the Jews (if you look at flags from the 1920s for Palestine they have the Star of David on them). The name Palestine was based on the Philistines who do not exist anymore (at least as a people).
And actually they were kicked out of both Jordan and Egypt for trying to overthrow the governments there. There is a reason that none of the Arab countries want to take them as refugees. So he is correct again.
Dude, you are the fraud....When he said "no one wants these people"...he was referring to the surrounding Arab nations. Not God, Not Jesus...but the neighbors. You should be ashamed at trying to stir up strife and turmoil by misrepresenting someone. (and of course...unironically, you claim to be a "truth seeker") ..
The fact is, PP, none of the other Arab nations that are near Palestine are willing to allow the Palestinian people relocate there, and I don’t believe any of them currently welcome refugees.
well, Jesus generally was honest, and He still managed to call the reigning monarch an "old fox" & the religious/civil authorities "snakes". He also walked into a business district (that was approved by same religious authorities) & disrupted it, chasing the business owners out with a whip He made out of stuff on hand, and turning their merch tables over (sending neat piles of coinage flying all over and mixing with the next guy's piles of coin).
Bottom line: the Palestinians are people; flesh, blood, human beings created by our Father God, as deserving of life as is anyone of us. This genocide is a crime against God.
In the Arab world “no one wants these people”. No Arab nation wants the Palestinian people is what he was probably referencing. I am aware of Pastor Jack Hibbs but I don’t listen to his broadcast, however I have read this and heard this said about the Palestinian people from other sources.
This is their home. They’ve lived there for at least 1300 years. Why should they be forced to leave their home? This is an ethnic cleansing of a native people.
“No one wants the Palestinians” is true. Egypt and Jordan don’t want them. They have been brainwashed from the womb to hate and kill. They are a poison.
...."we can’t wait for perfect data, kids are suffering now."....ergo, "the house is on fire, throw some gas on it." Speed of Science logic. All this oily talk at a time when the liberal slime, grease and ooze is at an all time high. Coincidence? The Democrats are deep fried in stale canola....crispy fried turnip twaddlers, as it were.
I’d bet money that Emily eats at the fancy avocado/olive oil restaurants and buys her groceries and European cheese from Whole Foods and Natural Grocers. There’s status in that.
Let the poor people who rely on the grocery stores have Crisco and Betty Crocker.
Since I have been reading more and more labels, it seems seed oils of various kinds are in mostly everything. Much the same with sugar. I don't think we can assume that these things are healthy considering all the other junk they add into food. Just like all vaccines...manufactured foods are cesspools of toxins they keep telling us as being totally safe. All big time lies as usual.
Especially read the "organic" labels. I remember years ago slurping down my favorite tomato red pepper organic soup only to find the key ingredient was sugar! Needless to say I tossed the product and wised up!
Years ago when I started looking at labels and the whole organic thing came around, I LOL’ed one day in Whole Foods reading a cereal label. It had the exact same junk in it as nonorganic cereal but it was “organic” high fructose corn syrup in the organic cereal. Smh
I was checking out at WF one day ( I needed some minor item) and ahead of me was a woman with a cart overflowing with frozen and prepared foods. Go figure.
I have an old Mennonite cookbook and sugar is in every single recipe, no matter what the dish is. This is an old practice because it really does add richness and improve flavor. Just an historical curiosity.
I went to my cupboard and looked at a bag of sugar, and instead of cane sugar listed as the product it just said sugar. Interesting. I seem to remember that back in the day it actually would stipulate that it was cane sugar.
I don't cook from cookbooks, so will take you at your word. I cook whatever is on hand, old style. Nothing packaged. Won't win any awards but no one complains very often. I like the old cookbooks because there's a lot of historical info in them.
I also rarely use a cookbook (other than to sometimes get ideas), but I have in the past compared cookbooks my mother had from the 1940's and 1950s with more recent versions, and noted the differences.
The sugar in the past wasn’t as highly processed as it is now. My great grandmother and grandmother lived into their nineties and used sugar and flour a lot. Pies were consumed frequently, made with lard too.
Maybe that’s why they lived so long. Better quality ingredients. My mom and dad are now in their nineties but I think the last 30-40 years of processed foods are having a cumulative effect on them. Mom hates olive oil and uses canola but at least they use real butter. I can only push so much.
For ask now about former ages, long before your own, ever since the day that God created human beings on the earth; ask from one end of heaven to the other: has anything so great as this ever happened or has its like ever been heard of? Has any people ever heard the voice of a god speaking out of a fire, as you have heard, and lived? Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by terrifying displays of power, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes? To you it was shown so that you would acknowledge that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him. From heaven he made you hear his voice to discipline you. On earth he showed you his great fire, while you heard his words coming out of the fire. And because he loved your ancestors, he chose their descendants after them. He brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power, driving out before you nations greater and mightier than yourselves, to bring you in, giving you their land for a possession, as it is still today. So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
This is something that FL Gov DeSantis should have done a long, long time ago! .................................................................................
BREAKING: Texas Gubernatorial Candidate Says He Will Prohibit MRNA If Elected
Texas Republican Gubornatorial Candidate says he will prohibit all mRNA products in the state of Texas. MRNA injections violate state and federal bioweapons and weapons of mass destruction laws. To date, the federal government has ignored 18 USC 175 CH 10 BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS, and no Governor has enforced existing state biological weapons or weapons of mass destruction laws....
Jeff--if you click on the fakedoctor's Times piece NOW, you'll see they have actually changed the headline for a THIRD time. It now reads, "The Trouble With French Fries Is Not The Oil." Oh.
Yup - that whole "amnesty" plea ... no apologies, just a desire to move on and let bygones be bygones. That op-ed got the ridicule it deserved, though I'm sure many who took on more draconian viewpoints would love for people to just let those "mistakes" go. :/
"If AB 495 passes, it will be parent’s worst nightmare, but national Republicans will have a field day politically. Which is why I can’t imagine it passing, but of course, we’re talking about California."
AB495 is yet another tool with the sole purpose of eroding the nuclear family and normalizing the absence of parental rights.
Destruction of the family unit is one of the fundamental tenets of those who are working hard to destroy our country from within.
Reclassification is one of the best techniques used to change anything. From legal to medicine.
I penned how it was being used to change diseases right under our noses and we saw this especially with the pandemic:
https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/reclassification-the-magic-trick
We definitely need to be mindful of reclassification in action. This is a great callout!
Yep. The definition of a vaccine was rewritten during the pandemic.
And that’s when I knew for sure they were dog faced pony soldiers.
😂😂🎯
Truth before facts!
After that happened, it occurred to me that many “vaccines” were not actually following the definition in the first place. They were simply shots
Used to be that when you got a vaccine (like small pox) you NEVER got the disease. They changed that for covid.
Right! I always said it was the same as "If you had played the lottery last night, you would have won!"
More importantly, the flu vaccine rarely gets above 50% efficacy by their own admission! It only happened 4 times since 2009.
So in reality you have a less than 50% chance of getting a less severe case of the flu, if you get their flu shot.
Its a scam
numbers here https://www.cdc.gov/flu-vaccines-work/php/effectiveness-studies/index.html#cdc_data_surveillance_section_3-results-from-prior-flu-seasons
Can’t prove a “would have”.
Exactly, Jeff! How did so many fall for that bullsheet?
Don’t forget “safe and effective “ was changed also.
CVD shot not a vaccine
Vaxxed kids with chickenpox can and do get chickenpox.
And they often get it much older, making it more severe and potentially dangerous.
Yeah, rainbow!
Declaring a PHEIC is grounds for using vaccines under emergency status."
https://totalityofevidence.com/timeline/who-changes-the-definition-of-a-pandemic/
they rewrote the definition of herd immunity, too. Then they started lumping flu, colds, covid, upper resp infections all under ILI: Influenza Like Illnesses. Anything to obfuscate the data.
I can't think of a single thing they did or said that wasn't an outright lie.
Ackshullly...the definition of vaccine was rewritten JUST BEFORE the 'pandemic'.
Curious timing, no?
Correct!
The definition of pandemic was reconstrued!
Polio is the classic example. Used to include 9 or 10 other diseases, like transverse myelitis, Guilaine Barre syndrome, and more. Changed when the polio vaccine was released. Bottom line is the all vaccine did not cure or stop polio.
Florence Nightingale said that there are no "diseases" only symptoms.
"The specific disease doctrine is the grand refuge of weak, uncultured, unstable minds, such as now rule in the medical profession." Florence Nightengale 1860.
Bingo!
Thank you Padrig.
That's a keeper.
Spiritual problems labeled as ‘mental problems’, ‘chemical imbalances’.
And Dr. Malone is calling for everyone to spread this info.

You can call a mule a "horse" but that don't MAKE him a horse.
I've heard a similar quote about calling a steer a bull. He'd rather have what was originally taken from him than the honor of the name. 😂
Darn, behind a paywall 🥴 so frustrating
I lived in Denver between 1995 and 2002, when Wellington Webb was mayor and Govs. Roy Romer (D, but not libtoon) and Bill Owens (R) were in office. The Californication had begun, but at the time was mostly isolated to the People's Republic of Boulder. I shudder to think that my husband and I had actually once considered retiring there. Thankfully, we quickly came to our senses and took all of our money and assets to the Free State of Florida. No regrets!
My parents left for the great state of FL, too. Smart move! Colorado is lost.
Grand Junction used to be idyllic!
No sales tax, you could make a left turn, and the commies had not yet overran the entire state government,
Yes. Oregon is the same. The cities are insane, the rest of us not.
The common denominator (in Oregon) is cities with colleges. It may be true for other states also, not sure.
Amen!
Unfortunately, my town is in BLUUUE Alameda County.😬
. . . and Minnesota.
Yes. It’s the big cities that determine the state’s vote.
We lived in Denver area for 15 years until it started going off the rails. It’s so sad to see what the libs have done to a beautiful place!!! We too moved to the free state of Florida & LOVE IT!!! I’m saddened though because our son & his family are still stuck there for now.
I’m a native Floridian and love my state, but we’ve got to fight some decay here as well.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/08/possible-mass-shooting-foiled-palm-beach-international-airport/
Check out the past criminal history of this monster; repeatedly arrested with charges being dropped or simply given probation over and over again.
Yikes! Mr Rodrigues is a bad dude! But in EVERY city on Earth, vermin are masquerading as humans...and hiding in plain sight!
My stepdaughter lives there, but thankfully, she is in the high country. A bit removed from the libtoon crazy that the Front Range has become.
I lived in Boulder for one month; never again!
I visited Boulder, one day, and it felt like a month.
Same here. Lived in Denver from early 80’s until 6 years ago. It’s been totally ruined. I too live in Florida (St. Augustine). Love it! 😎
We have a place in Crescent Beach! LOVE St. Augustine!
Why do you stay, Nick? It’s shocking what’s happened to Denver metro. The California invasion is apparently now complete.
It’s also very “1984.”
I pay cash for everything under $20. Trying to do my part
That is also one of my freedom strategies - use cash and write checks as much as possible. Avoid online banking as much as possible.
You can find things under 20.00? I'm shocked by 7.00 foo foo coffee!
Haha yes. I'm one of those small quantity Shoppers at the grocery stores when I go.Although if it's Whole Foods, everything there is so expensive that it ends up being Often over $20 as it was today. Anytime my bill is under$20 at any kind of retail establishment, it's cash.
My logical mind can't figure out how our using cash now will have any impact on those who are determined to do away with cash.
This interesting video from Catherine Austin Fitts explains it--
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQpy8X_Y2hk
took me 2 years to read it because it read just like their playbook, and as you said , was incredibly depressing.
I wonder how Orwell came up with it. Did he know and by their rules, have to tell us OR was he a dissident, and wanted to warn us? I recall he spent time in jail but don't remember much of his life.
Animal Farm book is very interesting too.
George Orwell is obviously a time traveler.
I believe he wrote this in the years just after WWII and saw the rise of Communism in Russian and China and with his imagination projected what the extreme application of such a society could be in 50 years or so. Well, 38? actually since he named it 1984!
He likely just knew the plan. If he actually saw the future, he would have used newer technology in his book rather than what we had at the time.
Amen sister.
It's the adversary, counterfeiting and twisting the confusion of language in order to promote sin instead of put a stop to it.
An inversion of the tower of Babel event.
Idk abt y’all but never in our family of 5, has one kid gotten a cold without the other 2 also getting it.
holy cats. You are spot on. It's all smoke and mirrors. Even "organic" food, isn't.
Apeel. Now "Organic".
It's all really quite scary
We buy 1/4 or 1/2 of a cow from a local farmer every year or so. I know it is grass fed and grass finished, because I get the stomach for the dogs.
We don't buy that much, but the company has the same option. The meat comes flash frozen. Wonderful
They're putting APL on Costco organics?? Their customers need to complain. maybe we can get it off the food
What is APL?
I just said "no" 40 years ago and am healthy.
@Winds- yes, they were sugar cubes with a pink dot (the med).
I remember having to line up in school for the sugar cube. We all took it—sugar? Sure! It is criminal what the Pharma/medical/government industrial complex has done to its people. Criminal!
Yes…I remember the line up for the sugar-cube, as well as the line for the small pox shot that caused a scab to form. I was in elementary school.
I remember that day when they Shot it with a gun into my arm. Bastards!
@Debra- it was a palatable way to get it into the kids.
That was the original live virus vaccine placed on a sugar cube. Yes, it could cause polio and spread it through the feces. Remember, diapers were not disposable back then.
And Bill Gates' favorite pitri dishes Africa and India are still being subjected to polio using live virus vaccines.
I remember the polio vaccine coming out. It was a vaccine given via a sugar cube.
The word “polio“ means Gray, referring to the gray matter of the brain which causes paralysis when damaged by anything.
The biggest crime: lying about everything.
Never forget that. By everything, it means everything, including so many peoples' sacred cows. Before too long, I predict all of these sacred cows will be scattered to the 4 winds, and the majority of the population, including many readers here, are going to want to sit in a corner and never leave.
I agree. It is hard to live in a world where everything is a lie.
you have to play the hand you are dealt, but now, we have the once in millennium chance to change that
......for profit
And now they’re bring us The Gay Games. An Olympics only for the lgbtq types. Wonder what types of activities will earn them medals?
Hahahaha
Let's just cover our eyes.
I’m sure there’ll be a drag queen competition.
It’s still a spiritual sickness, no matter what name they put on it.
Thank you, Kinsey Report! Funded by Rockefeller’s, who brought you petroleum based “medicine “.
@Dena- We saw her interview witih laura Ingraham. Appalling.
Shameful
Or people get to steal whatever they want without being stopped, so looks like we have less theft.
I'd forgotten that! Able to walk out of stores with whatever you want as long as it's less than $900 - or somesuch!
Never seen one with a calculator! They must have mad math skills 🤣
I believe it’s happening across the entire country to some extent; just more drastically in blue states.
You would think Florida would be better at dealing with crime, but check out this story from today. This horror had a long, long list of offenses and arrests for violent acts and he was still free to show up at the airport ready to do a mass shooting event.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/08/possible-mass-shooting-foiled-palm-beach-international-airport/
Years of having charges dropped or just given probation. Looks like he was begging for real punishment.
DeSantis should be all over this!
I hope so! It seems the left targeted the justice system; getting into place prosecutors and judges that just let violent criminals go. As far back as I can remember, Republicans have run on promises to reduce crime, so the creation of the present system had been going on for more than 60 years. It needs dynamiting!
That is mind numbing.
With AI what can any of us believe unless we see it in person for ourselves? Terrifying.
🎯! Same in CA. Reclassification of felonies to misdemeanors, and then plea bargain down to even lesser or even “no crime” with zero accountability. 🤬
I can't "like" your comment, but I can second it. The situation we find ourselves in is so, so frustrating!
It's worked so far for the climate change scam...
Hunga Tonga!!!
not to mention the "baseline" temperatures, the historic records, being revised downward a couple of times...
Juke the stats, from The Wire
Diabolical. Demonic.
✝️✝️✝️
— 1 John 4:1-6 NAS95

There's a lot of antichrists running around and they're making themselves known. Stand strong and do not cave to these types. God bless you all. 🙏✝️❤️
Read the Word every day so you can come to recognize the Voice of the Good Shepherd and not be lead astray!
Amen!
One of my favorite verses ❤️❤️
Timely Janice. Thank you for continuing to point us to the one true God.
Test the Spirits! Amen
96% of sugar used in the USA is GMO beet sugar, so unless it says organic cane sugar, it’s GMO food
Fortunately, you can buy better breads now (eg Ezekiel bread and several online places) or make your own from Einkorn
problem is, they are not glyphosate free. One Degree products are.
Ezekiel bread has organic certification. We love our Ezekiel bread toast. My toddler grandchild eats only Ezekiel toast now.
Organic still has glyphosate in it.
How can organic still have glyphosate in it? I thought organic would be free from all that. What am I missing?
Bake your own.
Anyone know about Dave’s Killer Bread?
I know it is approved on the Yucca App. And the Bobby Approved app. Both are supposed to help look for cleaner sourced, healthier choices but I have not looked any deeper on those.
Thank you! I so appreciate your time and help. Mahalos 🤙🏻
Probably the best bread you can get
… if you don’t bake your own
Thank you! I figured it was really good but I wanted to be sure about seed oils. Again many thanks ♥️💯
I just found it but alas, the thin slice one I got has canola oil. I’ll have to try to find the one that doesn’t
I know it because I live in Oregon. This ‘Powerseed’ Dave’s bread is the very best to avoid seed oils (it’s also a bit expensive):
https://www.daveskillerbread.com/powerseed
I eat this toasted regularly w/ smooth/creamy Adams peanut butter.
https://www.foodsco.net/p/adams-natural-creamy-peanut-butter/0005150070030
Awesome! I figured it is by reading the ingredients. Wasn’t sure if something was “snuck” into them. I do appreciate your time! Mahalos 🤙🏻💯
Powerseed is the only grocer bread I can find consistently on the regular that contains no processed seed oils.
Coconut sugar. Read about it.
I’ve used it.
Sugar can be as simple as squeeze the juice from sugar cane, dry it and use it on your breakfast cereal.
You don't get sweet for your breakfast cereal from corn you squeezed in your kitchen...you need a refinery.
I don’t agree, rob. Yesterday we froze 15 qts of corn, very sticky.
Sticky yes, but were talking about sugar sweet.
Have you grown your own sugar cane? I’ve been looking into it. Sorghum as well, though I don’t know much about it yet.
I agree. A world without bread is a very sad place. Do you make your own bread?
I do, but not all the time. It's a hobby (for fun) rather than a way of life.
Like Rob, l don’t bake it all the time like l did in the past because I have cut way back on bread consumption
… however I do bake a loaf of bread anytime I want good bread
Everyone should do a food audit! Read labels of the products you use. Get educated. Then have a ton of fun revamping your diet towards health.
It's eye opening to say the least. My grandfather always said "If you need a degree in chemistry to understand what you are eating, then don't eat it." He warned against doctors too. PawPaw was ahead of his time. I really miss him.🥰
Your grandfather was wise. Count chemicals not calories as my wife says.
Toxicity caused by chemicals is one of the 5 causes of Cancer.
bring on tallow, ghee and butter, all grass fed as they are so good for us!
...as long as the grass fields are not sprayed...
Forget reading labels just shop the exterior of the grocery store and avoid the aisles as much as possible
I know that when I go down the grocery aisles, I'm overwhelmed. What is all this fake food? And why would anyone buy it?
It is the best we can do other than grow our own food.
I get exhausted looking at labels because they change the meaning of words just like in everything else.
Natural flavorings for example, can include senomyx flavors from using aborted baby parts for testing and may be included in the flavors as well. Look senomyx up and with just a little digging it is pretty awful.
😮😖😡
My son and his family have been eating mostly clean for over six months and they both have lost weight.
Same. I believe my metabolism is higher now.
This year I decided to "avoid" high fruticose corn syrup, I had to read the labels!
Affordable soda pop is hard to find (Whole Foods/Amazon has some) and I had to try a second grocery store chain to find ANY syrup made with sugar!
I gave up ketchup for that reason. could not believe ketchup has that crap in it.
I make ketchup with tomato juice simmered and reduced, vinegar, and honey. It isn’t as thick as store bought ketchup but so easy to make.
There are some pure ketchup available. Our go to companies from our youth like Heinz for Ketchup, were probably better back in the day.
Hot sauce
Yes, made with scotch bonnet pepper!
My son, who has been addicted to Coca-Cola (@39g sugar/12 oz.) for years finally tried it
… and he liked it
La Croix has chemicals in it to make the flavor. That's how they get no calories.
Which chemicals?
They won't tell you and they are less than they are required to reveal. Wine products also add PH modifiers to change the taste. These chemicals may not be bad, but I won't buy their products if the're not going to tell me what's in them.
My daughter and grandchildren drink unsweetened seltzer waters like LeCroix, they like bubbles!

It has been said that food allergies are from vaccines. 😢🤷
I remember margarine being served as a kid… and then I ate it into adulthood. Finally came to our senses about 25 years ago.
And we drank powered milk growing up… ugh.
We have purged the house of seed oils…
We did the same, but because we live remotely, we use powdered milk. It's for cooking and on cereal. When I can get it, I drink raw milk.
Raw milk is the best!
Absolutely… but I can’t tell anyone…
WW2 intro because England purged all it's animals! Globalists trying to purge humans so they don't have to control so much! Someone always wants to repeat the worst of history.
They don’t have to control so much: just purge themselves!
In the fifties my father suggested switching from real milk to powdered and from butter to margarine. We kids rebelled, and it didn’t happen.
grass fed butter rules!
Same, for many years now.
You're family probably used margarine (as did mine) because it was cheaper. The only time we used real butter was for holiday meals.
Dave,
I think foods cooked in olive 🫒 oil taste so much better than those cooked in seed oils. I also only use olive & avocado oils. Once in a while, I might use sunflower 🌻 oil, but it’s not my preferred option.
And butter. Good butter makes everything better. 😋
Or bacon grease from “good” bacon
You have it just right. Sadly, we don't have that here...particularly in summer. Our season is backwards in the Sub-tropics.
More people need the information you have!
There is ‘roundup ready corn seeds’ for planting.
That's field corn, not sweet corn. That's the corn they feed to cows and make high fructose corn syrup from.
Sweet corn is not GMO.
Ghee is good for cooking
I love ghee. I especially love what I get from the company Simply Ghee. They even have A2 ghee.
Try Kerrygold butter. It makes every other butter I’ve tried seem like cheap margarine.
I have. Good butter.
Yes and duck fat from Fatworks.com is amazing especially for making duck fat fries
I'm getting my first order this week.
Coconut oil is healthy as well. Good for the brain.
And, coconut oil has helped me with my allergies! 2 tablespoons in my coffee in the morning and no more coughing and endless drainage.
I use it for “oil pulling” (swish around in my mouth for as long as I can stand it, usually 5-10 minutes) and spit out (into the trash not the sink since it can clog). It whitens my teeth and keeps my gums healthy.
I love doing this too! Really keeps the plaque away!
Really interesting! How much do you use? Do you warm it to liquify it first? Please give the “How to” on this.
Coconut oil is made by drying and then pressing the coconut meat, a refinery is NOT required!
I'll have to make my coughing and hacking husband try that...he plays his catarrh every day. And it's not music to my ears!
I will have to try that, to see if it helps clear my lungs in the morning.
Does it flavor the coffee?
No! I use MCT oil in my coffee every single day. Blend with a frothing wand for good disbursement. Mental energy is notable!
Juju - how much MCT do you add to your coffee? How large is your coffee?
Oddly, it does not. That's why it is ok to use in regular cooking.
I loved "I can't believe it's not butter". Now I only cook with olive oil and but mostly coconut oil!
Coconut oil great to cook pancakes. We rarely have those but makes them crispy in the edges. Used to use butter but it did burn.
Er, what time is supper tonight?
😁
Ghee works for high temps, it is the non solids part of butter. I’ve also just used water or broth to sauté veggies.
Try grape oil, I don’t cook at high temperatures in a pan…
Olive oil is often mixed with cheaper oils, also.
It is BLT season, so bacon twice a day!
Popcorn in bacon grease is the bomb.
Best popcorn I ever ate: tossed with bacon grease and ranch dressing powder!
Ditto.
Leftover bacon grease...
Yes, we suffered through years of intentional deception.
What they say, I do the opposite.
Yay to Fat Head! I followed Tom Naughton's blog for years, until he finally discontinued it. I wish he would continue writing on his other blog.
Real butter and EVOO!
Kassadrinos Greek EVOO is the best and no impurities.
Will try it.
Emily Oster looks like a seed oil by-product. Nasty AWFL!
I thank Dr. Mercola for a lot of my nutrition education. There are others, of course.
We fired our doctor and found a MD with "holistic" on his door.
I believe the MDs keep the naturopaths out of Florida.
Dr Mercola has been pointing out the harmful effects of seed oils for many years now - and he has all the proof
Seed oils, fructose in Coke, and food dyes are indeed a big deal.
But we really thought RFK Jr would rapidly scale back the vaxxes... at least for the childhood shot schedule.
As more than a half year is behind us, is someone going to tell me to keep waiting?
BFM: We also need to worry about our pets too and any shedding potential.

You caught that reference! Those plastic containers were great for storing things after they were empty.
Ha ha! Yes, my mom stored left overs in those! Takes me back!
Yeah, “fake fat” - what could possibly go wrong with that? Remember the warnings about “anal leakage” on bags of chips? 😝
Nasty indeed. 😜
And you have to read every label, because seed oils are in almost everything.
Ironically, Dave, one of those products (problems) was actually named ‘Country Crock’, which was advertised as “DAIRY FREE BUTTER”
… that ad is a perfect example of an oxymoron
I had that product in mind when I wrote the comment, lol.
yah, what a Crock that was, it was even in one of the names.
It says, made from farm products . . .
Tallow, lard, butter, and fish oil are even better than olive and avocado. (As per Dr. Ken Berry, Nina Teicholz, and Gary Taubes)
Tallow and lard are hard to come by in most supermarkets. Fish oil adds a flavor I don’t care for in cooking unless it is a seafood dish.
My Safeway now carries tallow
I buy our tallow online from Fatworks.com. All grass fed.
Try Nourish food club for tallow!
I get tallow and lard from my meat market
Lard is pork. So that’s a HARD NO. Horrible for you. Olive, Avocado, beef tallow, peanut oil, coconut oil, butter….YES.
Not true! All animal fats are healthy, including lard.
I can’t say my grandmas smoked, but they did spend that much time in the kitchen.
Olive and avocado oils contain around 10% linoleic acid.
You see a solid bright yellow field in the summer—that’s rapeseed. There is a video on how canola is processed. You will never touch the stuff again. I read all labels, which is why I skip most aisles in the grocery stores.
It is pretty to look at, though. I remember traveling in northern France one spring and passing by countless canola fields. Really, really beautiful.
It is gorgeous and eye catching. I first saw those fields in Britain on my first trip there. Rapeseed isn’t common in the Illinois rural area I live in but last year there was a field of rapeseed by our library. I took some pictures.
But, but, Canola sounds so much better than rape. Like Mazola corn oil, another wonderful oil from my youth.
Canola is originally the brand name of Canadian Oil, otherwise rapeseed.
Some manufacturers of rapeseed oil just added a G in front and renamed it Grape seed oil. The games they play with our language…🤦♀️
I know, right?
and as a female i could never understand why anyone would put such an awful name on an innocent plant.
Here in the UK, farmer's just call it rape.
Ah, and Shedd’s Spread. So much better than butter, according to ‘health experts’ from the 70’s and 80’s. Doctors practice their medicine rather than knowing? I want a doctor that knows, not one that practices.
Country crock! With the fake yellow color. Grew up on that stuff, and now I just look at it and think how gross it is.
Squeeze Parkay! I once remember using it to fix a squeaky door hinge!
Haha, Erin, love that! I once fixed a dishwasher with chewing gum.
Or "I can't believe it's not butter," brought to you by Fabio.
But it spreads so easy 🤪
It's really easy to whip butter!
All we had was Crisco in the giant can.
When I was a kid I remember Imperial margarine.
It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!! What an ironic ad campaign that was. Someone needs to revive that one for chemtrails and weather manipulation.
Those ads had a crown appear overhead of the consumer iirc.🙄
I learned of the dangers of margarine from Adele Davis who was early in her mistrust of “food” that came from factories.
That's where I got my start. The jail nurse, of all people, at the sheriff'd department where I worked got me started.
Yes- it and the others were industrial lubricants. Rockerfeller and Kellogg were in on it. By FURTHER processing the oils they could pass them off as "food." much more profitable. Buy off a few medical studies and, boom...healthier
Speaking of rape, here in Canada there’s no such charge anymore. It’s all sexual assault now
That’s tragic.
😳😳😳😱😱😱
Gropeseed oil didn't do well in the focus groups, either.
Who remembers the "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature" margarine commercial?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijVijP-CDVI
My mom lost a bunch of weight on the mazola oil diet, circa early ‘70s. I think it made food/nutrients slide through… she died from pancreatic cancer less than 10 years later.
Keep your hands off my coconut oil!!
I love mine too! Coconut pull daily:}
💯
Who would use an oil called rapeseed oil. I think they felt compelled to rename. It has also been genetically modified for decades. I know someone who started the process in the 80s.
Coconut oil is much better.
See Sayer Ji on butter: https://sayerji.substack.com/p/gandhi-almost-died-going-veganwhat
I always put a pat of butter in my coffee.
Sounds strange. Probably not bad. Surely better than coffee m*te. Since I put butter on or in everything, why not?
It makes the coffee very smooth, but you don’t taste the butter.
I read that people can survive on just potatoes and butter. That those two foods contain everything that is needed by the body.
I like the way you think.
For type 2 diabetics, potatoes are off limits due to high carbs. But the butter is a great choice.
Not as many nutrients as in butter, tallow, fish oil, and lard.
That's what they use at the Jiggle Hut! 😁
Which begs the question, is a Coconut a seed?
Actually yes, in the same way an olive and an avocado are seeds. But the oils from these fruits are pressed from the fruit’s flesh and not from their seeds.
Thanks, that answers my questions about why avocado is a good oil.
Generally, birds could grip a seed by the husk. So, yes?
These oils were originally industrial lubricants. Rockerfeller and Kellogg (yup- that one) got together and figured out how to further process the stuff to make it "food."
The first industrial waste oil made for human consumption was cotton seed oil, brought to market by Proctor and Gamble in the early 20th century.
Oh, yes. So, the other guys got the idea.
Hunga Tonga and the shifting core of the Earth may sort things out. We live in interesting times.
My Dad was one of the founders of the electronics industry as we know it today. He lived long enough to say that he thought the internet would be the death of humanity. I have yet to find anyone who disagrees.
Life is good. I choose Joy....but watch my back!
Crisco, the first vegetable seed oil.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crisco
Or butter!
As long as it’s grass fed. Because the animals toxins end up in the fat.
Sorta like whale blubber without killing the whale.
Pastor Jack Hibbs is a treasure. I listen to him regularly and am grateful for his courage!
Unbelievable bill and first I had heard of it…
"...if an illegal alien is seized and deported in the morning, who will pick up their child from school?" Surely this is a real problem for some actual children. What is the current practice? What is your proposed remedy?
In MO, we have a division of family services which takes care of foster care, child support, child abuse, etc.
Does California not have anything like that? It sounds like taking care of children suddenly alone would be right up their alley.
Yes, it’s CPS Child Protective Services. That’s where children will be taken. That system needs to be cleaned up as well.
CPS in IL is horrific in its negligence: so many children, too few case workers, no oversight.
Truth! CPS is horrible! The system isn't designed to protect children or to look out for their best interests.
Of course CA has child protective services. That's who would pick the child up. And I highly doubt it happens so much they need a state law for it. The local school has processes in place. That bill is designed for other purposes.
We have School Resource officers who would take care of the kids.
Everyone has emergency contacts that they have given permission to pick up their kids.
There are social workers, crisis teams, child protective services.
There is a plethora of options in the state of California.
I cannot honestly see ANY ILLEGAL being immediately deported. Who writes these fairy tales? Remember Trump is being forced to give every illegal his “rights” to a hearing…which ticks me off tremendously.
Not sure any are deported the same day they’re picked up.
I would be surprised if ICE allows folks they pick up to make phone calls to arrange for their children's care. Even assuming that they have people they can call.
I believe they do NOT separate families Mom and kids go with Dad … b/c they are usually all in the country illegally.
Here is a link to a list of the ingredients of an apple:
https://www.herballegacy.com/Lovett-Brown_Chemical.html
Even something natural can ‘look’ like a chemical concoction if you break it down, so just be careful if you ever see a random list of chemical sounding stuff and don’t assume it isn’t healthy. The chemical name of a carbohydrate sounds very complex and it is natural!
I am concerned about the pesticides and soil depletion. Organic is a sham word now. So, I do the best I can and choose "joy."
Good point - thanks!!
❤️❤️❤️
Grassfed butter is liquid gold, and grows our brains. Who can argue with something that is looks and tastes like pure gold?
https://romanshapoval.substack.com/p/babybrains
Olive and avocado oils (as well as coconut) are pressed from the flesh of the fruit and not from the seed of the fruit.
I buy olive oil from a local shop. The owner ships it from his family’s groves in Greece. Yes it is expensive but worth it.
👍❤️
“As a backlash to this anti-cholesterol mania, a reactionary war of “good fats” ensued. People bought, and still are buying olive and avocado oil in droves. Again, having these oils in their natural, cold-pressed form is healthy, however they are seed oils, and cooking with them can cause them to break down, leading to inflammation in our bodies.”
Roman S substack ⬆️
Wrong! Olive, coconut, and avocado oils are all pressed from the flesh NOT the seed. You can make your own at home!!
As far back as ancient Greece, olive oil was called liquid gold.
I don’t know why he said that.
💯.
Mrs. "the Knife"
"I'm just trusting God to show me what's best for my family." Amen to that!
No, you are not alone. I suspect there are a great many like us, who just want to know what to do without all the competing interests throwing monkey wrenches in the gears of understanding and truth. My prayers are with you and yours.
Mrs. "the Knife"
Mrs. "the Knife"
Research homeopathy.
Truthfully - "Exercise, eat well - die anyway!"
I’m with you! 🎯
Olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil are NOT seed oils. For example, avocado oil comes from the pulp of the olive, not the seed. Research the others online to understand why they are not either.
Did you read Roman S link above? That’s where it was stated they are seed oils.
He is correct that olive and avocado oils can break down during high heat and thus are best used for salad dressings and the like. In addition, they both contain around 10% linoleic acid which is the omega 6 you need to avoid because it’s inflammatory.
I believe it is unwise to demonize ALL omega-6's. We do need some but most seed oils are very unbalanced in their omega 3\6 ratio toward the 6's.
If you buy olive oil with a California stamp of approval, you get olive oil!!! That’s one good thing out of California!
Absolutely! And California has some really nice olive oils.
Good to know 👍
Most olive oils from estates in Italy, Greece, or Spain are not adulterated.
I have to admit that I am not sure about the process for avocado oil, but the seeds of avocados are massive, so I would bet that the oil is easily produced.
avocado and coconut oil comes from the flesh, not seeds
Avocado oil also comes from the flesh not the pit.
I find that hard to believe—if you look at the populations that use olive oil a lot, they’ve generally not been obese, historically speaking.
Feeling the same way, Sunnydaze. It feels like a shell game somedays.
I agree. Follow the money. I use the same, but add ghee to the list. Comes in jars and shelf stable. Not cheap, but what is?
Tell me about ghee. I see it and hear about it. I have someone in the family the struggles digestive with any dairy. So I haven’t even bothered to try it.
It is clarified butter and used in Indian cooking for centuries. Easy to cook with.
“Clarified” means the milk solids have been removed from the butter.
Love ghee!
I mostly cook and sauté with grass fed butter now. Love the flavor.
Mrs. "the Knife"
Love that! 😊
Sayer Ji sent out a great piece on the importance of eating butter just a week ago.
No excuses!
I can’t let this go without commenting.
What Pastor Jack Hibbs said re: the Palestinians right after Oct 7: “This is a cancer within a people group”…. “No one, and I mean NO ONE wants these people.”
This is a CHRISTIAN PASTOR?!?! Is this what Jesus would say or do?
https://youtu.be/ma9jdL3b0Ao?si=VMR7MZTLlX21cZ4B
These fraud Evangelical Pastors are paid shills for Israel. Every week they preach their junk theology of the End Times and the need for a certain racial group (Jews, many of whom are non-practicing and atheists) to return to the Holy Land. Every year they plan their tours to the holy land, and urged their congregants to make huge donations to Israel.
Speaker Johnson has been captured by the Israeli lobby just like 70% of our elected representatives have.
Here’s more of what our paid members of Congress are doing this week, when they are recessed and should be meeting with their constituents (this week it’s the Republicans, next week it’s the Democrats… Because you know this is truly bipartisan issue🤮)
https://rumble.com/v6xa3bg-aipac-nation-israel-first-who-really-runs-washington.html
He also walked into a business district (that was approved by same religious authorities) & disrupted it, chasing the business owners out with a whip He made out of stuff on hand, and turning their merch tables over (sending neat piles of coinage flying all over and mixing with the next guy's piles of coin).
so..... yeah I think He would.
They attempted an ethnic cleansing of the Jews who have lived there for 3000 years. Now, they are reaping what they have sown
Check her greasy stock portfolio.
Her broker probably bought soybean and corn futures for her, and now she’s in a panic.
I was wondering if she’s a vegan…
Between the seed oils and the clot shots, the undemocrats are not in good shape.
Can you imagine what Corey Booker eats.
He eats like a gladiator. 😉 Senator Spartacus. Lol.
I need a “love” button.
We can only do things within our capabilities.
Seed oils are cheap because they are subsidized by the federal government. In short, we pay to be poisoned.
Go figure.
And added COLORING! Unripe fruit with colored wax and netting and the store LIGHTING! 🥴
and Apeel by bill gates.
I have an old Mennonite cookbook and sugar is in every single recipe, no matter what the dish is. This is an old practice because it really does add richness and improve flavor. Just an historical curiosity.
If we used real sugar instead of GMO beet sugar, our bodies would process it normally and normal amounts wouldn’t cause a problem.
If the package had to specify when they used real sugar and when they used GMO beets, I’ll bet it would change buying habits.
Yes, whatever happened to real sugar cane sugar?
I went to my cupboard and looked at a bag of sugar, and instead of cane sugar listed as the product it just said sugar. Interesting. I seem to remember that back in the day it actually would stipulate that it was cane sugar.
But if you compare an old recipe to a current cookbook you will find that the amount of sugar was a fraction of what it is today.
Panela is real sugar. Real raw sugar. It is dehydrated sugar cane, unrefined. That is what the Amish use.
I think I know which one..sugar is in every prepared grocery food.
If a label is so long that I get bored, won’t use or eat the product. More than 5 starts getting me itchy to move on.
** Much the same with sugar** A lot of modern factory food don't use sugar, they use high fruticose corn syrup which is made in a refinery.
sugar in McDonald's hamburgers....
If I eat out, even though I watch portions and what I'm eating, I'm good for at least a pound the next morning. It can't all be salt.
The big food corporations aren't including it in their ingredients for your benefit. It's cheaper to use and actually gets you hooked on it.
But the only reason it's "cheaper" is because it's government subsidized. You get what you incentivize.
DEUTERONOMY 4:32-40
Love this passage💜

Love Doc Chambers.
NO AMNESTY FOR EMILY OSTER on any topic. Period.
Just getting ahead of the curb here when she suddenly and unexpectedly changes her tune. 😉
Jeff--if you click on the fakedoctor's Times piece NOW, you'll see they have actually changed the headline for a THIRD time. It now reads, "The Trouble With French Fries Is Not The Oil." Oh.

I took a class at community college called Lying with Statistics. Crime rates were used as the #1 example. This was 30 years ago.
The book How to Lie with Statistics is a classic everyone should read.
Yup - that whole "amnesty" plea ... no apologies, just a desire to move on and let bygones be bygones. That op-ed got the ridicule it deserved, though I'm sure many who took on more draconian viewpoints would love for people to just let those "mistakes" go. :/
And - somehow this got tacked on to a whole different comment than I started with ...
Lying with stats is ... pretty common.
that is why it is called Sadistics.
My professor used to say “statistical rhetoric has no conscience” and neither do most of the talking heads who use them.
