A total of 12,000 communications in a year, that's insane. I've been married twenty-five years and I doubt we've communicated (phone/text) one-quarter of that. I love my wife and couldn't imagine being without her, but we are separate autonomous humans. Well, I admit that those I refer to as waking up would be a minority of conservative Americans who are dependent on MSM for their information, ie, still asleep. The typical woke liberal or typical under 40 city dweller would treat this simply as entertainment.

After reading about Open AI Sora's text-to-video capabilities, I am convinced that the new world of AI will have great spiritual implications. I think AI could increase confusion, hostilities and lawfare (false accusations). My guess is the remedy they will present as a result of "authenticating" what is real and what is fake, will be a unique biometric digital ID for every human being. Of course, this will be for our own safety and security. With the advent of AI, I think we're now living in "The Matrix." Digital ID'S, CBDC's and a DEI-based social credit system seem to be fast on the horizon. I will not comply. I hope many will choose to say, "no."

Machines can be programmed to elicit an emotional response, but that does not mean they have one... they don't. This bill would make it a felony with 2-5 years in prison for someone to publish, broadcast, stream or upload a video recording, video file, audio recording, or audio file, or still image within 90 days of an election that is perceived to be deceptive by means of appearing to be real when it is not. For simpler terms, it would be illegal to post a deepfake or digitally altered image within 90 days of an election if powers at be claimed it to be intentionally deceiving and having interfered in an election.

There was an AI test in the NYT a few weeks ago to see if you could identify which people were real and which were AI generated. Something like 90% of the people, including me, who took the test, were wrong about 80% of the time. It was a VERY sobering experience.
I think you are right. Already AI for political mind control has a very synthetic, cardboard feel to it. We will still do pattern comparison between what we see and what 'they' are telling us. And we will perhaps learn to even more trust what we see in our daily lives.

There are ways to minimise such intrusive surveillance. Use their systems just enough to not stand out as "one if THOSE people". For the rest.. cash, barter, trade services. etc. For communication use CB and VHF radio or short wave. Ride a bicycle so theiy can't track you. If you DO bring along your cell phone put it into airplane mode then wrap it in about four layers aluminium foil. Its there if an emergency arises, unrwap and use it. Otherwise you are in ghost mode.

The ones who have not believed and put their trust in God will have had plenty of chances to to believe the truth before this happens. God has been quite patient with us.
God never deluded or attempted to deceive anyone. He simply allowed the lies and delusions of men to be spread. You have the option of buying them or rejecting them. So in the end it is all on YOU and ME. Educate yourself (read God's Word) and trust in it.
Mr. Childers suggested, a few months (?) ago, that he suspected, due to AI, video footage shortly would no longer be accepted as evidence in the courtroom.
I suspect it might start to be treated more like any other document that could have been forged, and the Court will only trust it if there is witness testimony confirming that it is true and correct.
Then, footage from security cameras that has evidence of "chain of custody" might make it in, or video from a "citizen journalist" who swears under oath that they have not tampered with it (and the Court finds them to be believable), but some random internet video that claims to be from the cellphone of an anonymous bystander would be considered untrustworthy.

AI is certainly something most of us here are mulling over in our minds.
1) I think that we have been living in The Matrix ever since at least the 20th century. Only that the delusional aspect, the dream state quality in the last ten to fifteen years has greatly intensified to the point where the illusional/delusional state has become intensely obvious. That is ... once things go hyper-insane, it very hard not to notice the insanity going on.
2) When I first came across AI, I knew that it would be used politically as a hyper-mind control mechanism. It has, and as such, it has become super-noticeable ... as in today's and yesterday's AI examples. Like it's white ladies driving around in their carbon emitting SUVs that are doing all the store looting! Probably using their little toddlers as accomplices. And so, a lot of AI will be quite obvious, just the same as the laughable legacy Fake Media. That's because 'these people' just can't help themselves. And 'they' always run to child-like excess and act out.
3) It gradually has become obvious to me that I live apart from the Fake Virtual World which has been 'invented' (conjured up ... is probably better, more accurate) for our consumption. And yes ... FOR OUR CONSUMPTION. Because 'they' the hybrid Marxist controllers never look at us as human beings, just as consumers to be tokenized for 'their' own monetary and power aggrandisement. So part of the solution is to keep on living outside of 'their' world ... and to not consume 'their' mind control products, whether of a political, economic or cultural nature. In that way, we become 'subversive' of Evil. We resist the program, live outside of it, every step of the way. As much as we can manage.

I notice AI images popping up more and more. They have a too-smooth, odd metallic quality about them. The Epoch Times had an article with photo of a happy Trump when he won the Carolina primary last week. The people in the background seemed to look normal, but Trump at the podium definitely did not. He was smiling but he does not make that particular, shown, face or expression. And his hair was orange and oddly perched on top of his head like a rug...not at all what he looks like. I commented on it at the E.Times and someone replied that they thought it was just poor lighting. I checked again in case I was wrong, and the picture had changed! Not alot but enough to tell me this was not a true photo in the first place. The same people were in the background, and Trump in front at the podium. But his facial expression had been toned down to look more like himself and his hair color had been toned down (although still orange and not normal looking) and even the hair-hat had flattened out somewhat. The metallic quality was still there on him but not on the people in the background.
Just my opinion but I don't think they will be able to fake natural body language. . My sister's and I grew up with disfunction and very good at reading body language. When someone is lying my spidy senses go up.

I recently became a difficult customer for a coffee place in Kansas that I purchase from.
They didn’t raise prices however decreased to amount of coffee in the bags, 12 to 10oz.
I called them on it and they responded that it was a good thing not to raise prices and it’s a win for me.

I've had similar conversations. People have lost their ability to reason. The shrinkage has been happening for years. Do you remember when a bag of coffee was a pound? Over less than my lifetime, it has now shrunk close to 40%.

there IS a good reason for this, and an ethical one. The bag sizes have been standard for decades. The 16 ounce bag was originally for roaasted ground coffee because decent grinders at reasonable prices were nonexistent. Those bags would hold one pound of ground. But ince good grinders at affordable prices came along, and the difference betwen whole bean fresh ground a and badly soured pre-ground/oxidised became an issue, the same size bag was used for whole bean roasted. Because of the larger volume of air inside the package (more airspace between those obstinate ROUND things inside) the weeight that could fit ito the bag was reduced by two or maybe three ounces. Thus the old standard 16 ounce bag for ground became the standard for 12 ounces whole bean. When buying the bags, the manufacturers cataloguing shows that size as 12/16 ounce, meaning 12 ounces whole bean or 16 ounces ground. That same sixe will hold 16 ounces green coffee, as they are a lot smaller prior to roasting, but hardly anyone uses those expensive barrier bags for packaging green... no need because the green will not deteriorate like roasted does. A simple poly bag is the standard for gren, but NOT suitable at all for roasted.
So once more understanding the industry as it has changed and grown reveals it is not a conspiracy/ripoff, but has a very practical explanation.

the single biggest reason for increased price on coffee here in the US is the cost of SHIPPING.. direct fuel cost, operational costs, cost of equipment necessary for handling, security issues, cargo insurance, crew wages, ground shipping at origin and here, etc. have all gone crazy since the introduction of the WooFlew. I recently perused the current offering sheet from my favourite importer, who have warehouses in many parts of the world. Their central warehouse is in Indonesia, and the price/lb or k is FOB that warehouse. Then when I get the current offering sheet from their US west coast office I see the same coffees now priced at $.80 to 1.25 /lb above FOB Indonesia now they are in house on the West Coast. The price per pound to transfer from their Houston warehouse to their Seattle warehouse used to be about ten cents the pound. Now it is closer to fifty cents the pound. So I have taken to only buying frmi the West Coast warehouses.

I have some, and it s the exact same coffee in every respect as the storid Jamaica Blue Mountain that sells for outrageous prices to buyers round the world. It sells for a fraction the price of the Jamaican Blue.
as I read the issue here I began to think of exactly the same things you did. NO ONE makes a ten ounce bag for coffee. Its twelve or sixteen, or eight (for SUPER premium coffees or samples). This they are overall using more bags to package the same amount of coffee.
Suggest they offer two choices.... twelves at an increased price, tens at their current price.
A decent quality foil barrier bag with degassing valve costs between fifty and seventy five cents the bag, depending on quality and form. (I know the ONLY source I will use.... a bit more but worth it). I would suggest having a chat with management/ownership. In your situation where they are shipped you are not only buying the same size bag with less in it (higher $/Oz equation) but they are likely using the USPS flat rate envelope, same price per shipment for six ounces less coffee recieved. So your $/unit volume recieved has gone up considerably before the difference in retail price per unit weight is figured. When I ship coffee I cram three 12 ounce bags into one of those FR envelopes. Takes a bit of wriggling, but I refuse to ONLY drop in two bags when a bit more of my time sends three for the same shipping cost.
Their Job One must always be to make their customers (you....) as happy as possible yet still feed themselves. Wholesale prices on green coffee have risen considerably, but the actual cost increase from that one factor alone for a twelve ounce bag of roasted packaged coffee sits at well under a dollar per bag. If their coffee is really outstanding, the increase of a dollar per bag would be a bargain.

Best French fries ever: slice into fry shapes and deep fry in ghee (clarified butter). With salt, I have died and gone to heaven. I used to make those in a restaurant in NYC and they sold like crazy. We had a nice industrial fry-maker that sliced them evenly, but it works just fine without one.
Lard works very well, too. For fries and potato chips. A company is PA called GIbbles fries their chips in lard. Always has. They are the best potato chips that can be bought in a package. When the ingredients are potatoes, lard, and salt you know they are going to be good. Simple ingredients that can be processed by our bodies.
My great grandmother always used lard. My mom and grandma (later) used butter. Once in the early 70’s mom got a wild hair and tried to find lard but it wasn’t readily available, found it but went back to butter.
be careful about standard lard, like the stuff Armour produce. It is hydrogenated. Not healthy for the same reasin Wessin Oil is not. When you see it stacked high on a shelf with no refrigeration it has almost certainly bee hydrogenated. Hard to find natural raw un prcessed lard. Find a local slaughterhouse/natural butcher. They often render the pure lard, beter frim grass fed not pumped up feedlot stuff.

We had a food cart on the beach, and I had a fry slicer mounted on the wall above the fryer. When people figured it out, I had a line all day just for fries.
I never even knew that potatoes had flavor until I began growing my own. Contrarily, my 4 year old grandson, helping me to dig potatoes (which vegetable he strongly disliked) and then cook and eat them, remarked, "I like Grandma potatoes, because they don't have taste!" Which I suspect means that mine lacked some flavor which the highly-sensitive palate of a small child perceived. FYI Roman, those would have been Canadian potatoes which he normally ate.
Having relatives in Greece, I have had many home made meals there with the sweetest potatoes imaginable. I never knew that potatoes could actually be sweet. They used white round potatoes.
Growing up here as a boomer, I only knew Idaho potatoe, which are nice baked, but not really all that flavorful on their own.
Fast forward to the past 10 years where I only buy organic produce from Trader Joe's. I found organic white potatoes, and lo and behold, they have that same incredible sweetness to them!
Hubby and I (and my mom when she was alive) love cooking at home with good quality food and interesting healthy recipes. I only eat out for social purposes.
I hate spending good money on food which isn't healthy, because it rarely is.

I work in a not-so-nice area of Columbus that is quickly becoming a ghetto. Shoplifting at our store is crazy. The things we have stolen the most are OTC medicines, condoms, lice treatment, and believe it or not - lots of socks. Lots of makeup thefts, too, to the point our cosmetics person tags them and then tapes the boxes so shut you need a box cutter to get into them. Most of the people we have caught look and act like druggies, all races, all ages.
But, we also have old people shoplifting my vitamins and diabetic socks. Who shoplifts a 50+ senior vitamin unless they are a senior? One person stole a bottle of prevagen, opened it in an aisle, and either ate it or dumped most of the contents into a bag. We found the half-used bottle. It got so bad with theft that we had to lock the prevagen up. The people ripping that stuff off are not druggies. I'd guess they are poor old people.
I visited the Moundsville, WV Walmart at the height of the baby formula shortage and they had it all locked up. And employee told me they had $26,000 in theft the previous month. The customers were mad about it being locked up, but so be it. Hard to stay in business when you are losing your shirt.

My local Fred Meyer (Kroger) has the infant formula behind locked doors with security cameras trained on it. When I mentioned to the clerk I’d never seen such a thing, she immediately replied that thefts of infant formula wouldn’t be a problem if the border were controlled. This led me to believe it was Hispanics doing the stealing. Our county is over half Hispanic, and schools have food drives specifically for the kids whose “parents and siblings have too little food.” I’m a Christian, but also a conservative, so my thoughts turn to the root causes of a situation, and correcting them, rather than seeing our schools say that “our goal is to give each family at least one box of cereal.”

Yep, our kids were on our cell phone plan, and the bill used to include a detailed record of all of the texts and calls for each line, My son was not a frequent caller or texter especially compared to my daughter when they were both in college. All of a sudden his call and text volume was going through the roof. When he came home for the weekend, I asked, What is her name? He was like, 'how did you KNOW?' LOL. They got married in 2021.

Well, I admit that those I refer to as waking up would be a minority of conservative Americans who are dependent on MSM for their information, ie, still asleep. The typical woke liberal or typical under 40 city dweller would treat this simply as entertainment.
But how many have to wake up to effect change? We are already seeing an unreported, massive wave of support for MAGA that has the liberal observer terrified and they are trying to hide it.

After reading about Open AI Sora's text-to-video capabilities, I am convinced that the new world of AI will have great spiritual implications. I think AI could increase confusion, hostilities and lawfare (false accusations). My guess is the remedy they will present as a result of "authenticating" what is real and what is fake, will be a unique biometric digital ID for every human being. Of course, this will be for our own safety and security. With the advent of AI, I think we're now living in "The Matrix." Digital ID'S, CBDC's and a DEI-based social credit system seem to be fast on the horizon. I will not comply. I hope many will choose to say, "no."

There are ways to minimise such intrusive surveillance. Use their systems just enough to not stand out as "one if THOSE people". For the rest.. cash, barter, trade services. etc. For communication use CB and VHF radio or short wave. Ride a bicycle so theiy can't track you. If you DO bring along your cell phone put it into airplane mode then wrap it in about four layers aluminium foil. Its there if an emergency arises, unrwap and use it. Otherwise you are in ghost mode.

Interestingly enough if you live in the world of alot of high functioning people on the autism spectrum people who don't have much capability for those kinds of emotions (they read how you are supposed to act but it doesn't cover every scenario and that is their tell) AI still could be very confusing when you've learned to give these people the benefit of a doubt. That said, I really appreciate your insight and warning.

I suspect it might start to be treated more like any other document that could have been forged, and the Court will only trust it if there is witness testimony confirming that it is true and correct.
Then, footage from security cameras that has evidence of "chain of custody" might make it in, or video from a "citizen journalist" who swears under oath that they have not tampered with it (and the Court finds them to be believable), but some random internet video that claims to be from the cellphone of an anonymous bystander would be considered untrustworthy.
This is why I'm mostly unplugged. And finding ways to unplug more.

AI is certainly something most of us here are mulling over in our minds.
1) I think that we have been living in The Matrix ever since at least the 20th century. Only that the delusional aspect, the dream state quality in the last ten to fifteen years has greatly intensified to the point where the illusional/delusional state has become intensely obvious. That is ... once things go hyper-insane, it very hard not to notice the insanity going on.
2) When I first came across AI, I knew that it would be used politically as a hyper-mind control mechanism. It has, and as such, it has become super-noticeable ... as in today's and yesterday's AI examples. Like it's white ladies driving around in their carbon emitting SUVs that are doing all the store looting! Probably using their little toddlers as accomplices. And so, a lot of AI will be quite obvious, just the same as the laughable legacy Fake Media. That's because 'these people' just can't help themselves. And 'they' always run to child-like excess and act out.
3) It gradually has become obvious to me that I live apart from the Fake Virtual World which has been 'invented' (conjured up ... is probably better, more accurate) for our consumption. And yes ... FOR OUR CONSUMPTION. Because 'they' the hybrid Marxist controllers never look at us as human beings, just as consumers to be tokenized for 'their' own monetary and power aggrandisement. So part of the solution is to keep on living outside of 'their' world ... and to not consume 'their' mind control products, whether of a political, economic or cultural nature. In that way, we become 'subversive' of Evil. We resist the program, live outside of it, every step of the way. As much as we can manage.

I notice AI images popping up more and more. They have a too-smooth, odd metallic quality about them. The Epoch Times had an article with photo of a happy Trump when he won the Carolina primary last week. The people in the background seemed to look normal, but Trump at the podium definitely did not. He was smiling but he does not make that particular, shown, face or expression. And his hair was orange and oddly perched on top of his head like a rug...not at all what he looks like. I commented on it at the E.Times and someone replied that they thought it was just poor lighting. I checked again in case I was wrong, and the picture had changed! Not alot but enough to tell me this was not a true photo in the first place. The same people were in the background, and Trump in front at the podium. But his facial expression had been toned down to look more like himself and his hair color had been toned down (although still orange and not normal looking) and even the hair-hat had flattened out somewhat. The metallic quality was still there on him but not on the people in the background.

I was very disappointed to see that Rod Dreher seemed to be totally behind the COVID shots. I recently became a difficult customer for a coffee place in Kansas that I purchase from.

there IS a good reason for this, and an ethical one. The bag sizes have been standard for decades. The 16 ounce bag was originally for roaasted ground coffee because decent grinders at reasonable prices were nonexistent. Those bags would hold one pound of ground. But ince good grinders at affordable prices came along, and the difference betwen whole bean fresh ground a and badly soured pre-ground/oxidised became an issue, the same size bag was used for whole bean roasted. Because of the larger volume of air inside the package (more airspace between those obstinate ROUND things inside) the weeight that could fit ito the bag was reduced by two or maybe three ounces. Thus the old standard 16 ounce bag for ground became the standard for 12 ounces whole bean. When buying the bags, the manufacturers cataloguing shows that size as 12/16 ounce, meaning 12 ounces whole bean or 16 ounces ground. That same sixe will hold 16 ounces green coffee, as they are a lot smaller prior to roasting, but hardly anyone uses those expensive barrier bags for packaging green... no need because the green will not deteriorate like roasted does. A simple poly bag is the standard for gren, but NOT suitable at all for roasted.
So once more understanding the industry as it has changed and grown reveals it is not a conspiracy/ripoff, but has a very practical explanation.

the single biggest reason for increased price on coffee here in the US is the cost of SHIPPING.. direct fuel cost, operational costs, cost of equipment necessary for handling, security issues, cargo insurance, crew wages, ground shipping at origin and here, etc. have all gone crazy since the introduction of the WooFlew. I recently perused the current offering sheet from my favourite importer, who have warehouses in many parts of the world. Their central warehouse is in Indonesia, and the price/lb or k is FOB that warehouse. Then when I get the current offering sheet from their US west coast office I see the same coffees now priced at $.80 to 1.25 /lb above FOB Indonesia now they are in house on the West Coast. The price per pound to transfer from their Houston warehouse to their Seattle warehouse used to be about ten cents the pound. Now it is closer to fifty cents the pound. So I have taken to only buying frmi the West Coast warehouses.

If you stand in the steep hillsides east of Port au Prince Haiti and look to the east and far north, yu can see this stark ridge fading off into the horizon. There is where they setled. They have cultivated that coffee there for well above a century. A good fried of mie went there and began working with the locals, helping them learn how to produce better coffee, better processing, helping local pastors build the church there, and helped build the infrastructure to bring it to markets. and he now import that coffee into the US. I have some, and it s the exact same coffee in every respect as the storid Jamaica Blue Mountain that sells for outrageous prices to buyers round the world. It sells for a fraction the price of the Jamaican Blue.

as I read the issue here I began to think of exactly the same things you did. NO ONE makes a ten ounce bag for coffee. Its twelve or sixteen, or eight (for SUPER premium coffees or samples). This they are overall using more bags to package the same amount of coffee.
Suggest they offer two choices.... twelves at an increased price, tens at their current price.
A decent quality foil barrier bag with degassing valve costs between fifty and seventy five cents the bag, depending on quality and form. (I know the ONLY source I will use.... a bit more but worth it). I would suggest having a chat with management/ownership. In your situation where they are shipped you are not only buying the same size bag with less in it (higher $/Oz equation) but they are likely using the USPS flat rate envelope, same price per shipment for six ounces less coffee recieved. So your $/unit volume recieved has gone up considerably before the difference in retail price per unit weight is figured. When I ship coffee I cram three 12 ounce bags into one of those FR envelopes. Takes a bit of wriggling, but I refuse to ONLY drop in two bags when a bit more of my time sends three for the same shipping cost.

Best French fries ever: slice into fry shapes and deep fry in ghee (clarified butter). With salt, I have died and gone to heaven. I used to make those in a restaurant in NYC and they sold like crazy. We had a nice industrial fry-maker that sliced them evenly, but it works just fine without one.
A local restaurant has shifted to using local tallow for deep frying. Yum.
Lard works very well, too. For fries and potato chips. A company is PA called GIbbles fries their chips in lard. Always has. They are the best potato chips that can be bought in a package. When the ingredients are potatoes, lard, and salt you know they are going to be good. Simple ingredients that can be processed by our bodies.

be careful about standard lard, like the stuff Armour produce. It is hydrogenated. Not healthy for the same reasin Wessin Oil is not. When you see it stacked high on a shelf with no refrigeration it has almost certainly bee hydrogenated. Hard to find natural raw un prcessed lard. Find a local slaughterhouse/natural butcher. They often render the pure lard, beter frim grass fed not pumped up feedlot stuff.

Contrarily, my 4 year old grandson, helping me to dig potatoes (which vegetable he strongly disliked) and then cook and eat them, remarked, "I like Grandma potatoes, because they don't have taste!" Having relatives in Greece, I have had many home made meals there with the sweetest potatoes imaginable. I never knew that potatoes could actually be sweet. They used white round potatoes.
Growing up here as a boomer, I only knew Idaho potatoe, which are nice baked, but not really all that flavorful on their own.
Fast forward to the past 10 years where I only buy organic produce from Trader Joe's. I found organic white potatoes, and lo and behold, they have that same incredible sweetness to them!

One person stole a bottle of prevagen, opened it in an aisle, and either ate it or dumped most of the contents into a bag. We found the half-used bottle. It got so bad with theft that we had to lock the prevagen up. The people ripping that stuff off are not druggies. I'd guess they are poor old people.
I visited the Moundsville, WV Walmart at the height of the baby formula shortage and they had it all locked up. And employee told me they had $26,000 in theft the previous month. The customers were mad about it being locked up, but so be it. Hard to stay in business when you are losing your shirt.

My local Fred Meyer (Kroger) has the infant formula behind locked doors with security cameras trained on it. When I mentioned to the clerk I’d never seen such a thing, she immediately replied that thefts of infant formula wouldn’t be a problem if the border were controlled. This led me to believe it was Hispanics doing the stealing. Our county is over half Hispanic, and schools have food drives specifically for the kids whose “parents and siblings have too little food.” I’m a Christian, but also a conservative, so my thoughts turn to the root causes of a situation, and correcting them, rather than seeing our schools say that “our goal is to give each family at least one box of cereal.”
Ugh, this has echoes of the ‘old folks eating cat foods’ stories from the carter years. I guess that’ll be next, sadly.
