Because in all probability the Salvadorans executed Garcia within 24 hours of his arrival home. I teach ESL classes, and some of our Salvadorans students are fearful of being returned home because of reports of deportees being killed. Our bleeding heart Libs really need to recognize that not every government overlooks breaking the law. The cruelty of the Biden administration’s selfish welcoming of illegal immigrants into our country is yet another example of how they never consider the collateral damage when their plans ultimately fail.

THE LEGAL DETAILS OF EL SALVADORE DEPORTEE

[..."First and foremost, he was in our country illegally." Then came the legal truths: "In 2019, two courts, an immigration court and an appellate immigration court, ruled he was a member of MS-13, and he was illegally in our country." Bondi noted that is was now up to El Salvador, not the United States, to decide if they want to return him, stating that the U.S. would help "facilitate" that return by providing an airplane.

...MILLER: It is very arrogant for American media to suggest that we would even tell El Salvador how to handle their own citizens. And two immigration courts found he was a member of MS-13. When President Trump declared MS-13 to be a terrorist organization, that meant that he [Abrego Garcia] was no longer eligible, under federal law, for any form of immigration relief in the United States. So, we had a deportation order that was valid.

Finally, it was President Bukele's turn to address the matter, telling Collins that her question was "preposterous" and that he no intention of smuggling a terrorist back in the United States...]

PREVIOUSLY STOPPED BY POLICE: TRANSPORTING 7 PASSENGERS FROM TEXAS TO MARYLAND; BIDEN'S FBI ORDERED RELEASE

[The Tennessee Star learned on Wednesday that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged member of the Central American gang Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) who was deported to El Salvador under President Donald Trump amid legal action claiming the removal was by mistake, was suspected of being engaged in human trafficking by a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) officer who detained him in December 2022, leading the THP to contact the FBI for guidance. Within two hours, the FBI ultimately requested the THP release Garcia and the passengers in his vehicle. THP complied with the request.

The Star learned from sources familiar with the incident that Abrego Garcia was stopped for an unknown reason on December 6, 2022, and that the THP officer responsible for the stop immediately discovered Abrego Garcia was transporting seven passengers, with eight individuals inside the vehicle.

During a nearly two-hour traffic stop, the THP officer determined that Abrego Garcia (pictured above) was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license and began searching for information about him.

Something about the traffic stop caused concern in the mind of the THP officer that other law enforcement agencies should be alerted. One source told The Star that THP ultimately discovered Abrego Garcia was on a terrorist watch list, but could not locate Abrego Garcia on a deportation list. Another source told The Star that THP did not discover Abrego Garcia on a terrorist watch list but that another one of the seven passengers in the vehicle may have been on a terrorist watch list.

THP subsequently called the FBI, which was then led by former Director Christopher Wray under the Biden administration. The FBI instructed the THP officers at the scene to capture photographs of all eight people in the vehicle and document its contents.

Once the photographs were captured, this source told The Star that the FBI requested THP release all eight individuals and that the THP officers complied with this request.

The Star learned that the circumstances of the stop made the THP officer responsible for the stop concerned that Abrego Garcia was engaged in human trafficking, but that Abrego Garcia and his passengers were nonetheless released at the request of the FBI.

...Abrego Garcia is a Salvadoran citizen who illegally immigrated to the United States in 2012. Despite two judges determining he is likely to be a member of MS-13, Abrego Garcia and his family have denied this claim. In 2019, he was granted a “withholding of removal” order, which determined Abrego Garcia could not be deported to El Salvador over concerns related to his safety in his homeland, but that he could be removed to a third country...]

More Reason for State and Local Cops/Sheriffs and CITIZENS to institute their own policies of dealing with criminal foreign-citizens who Feds are delinquent to deal with; they cede their Constitutional Duty and Obligations, so EVERYONE else is left to fend for themselves dealing with the Terrorists and criminals and grifters and the Law-Firms, NGOs, DAs, Courts, and Officials who're ALSO involved in Coordinating and Conspiring to Enable the CRIMINAL INVASION. The system is purposefully BROKEN so NO ONE can really lawfully do anything to these "Newcomers" without herculean effort and process and procedure, years of court reviews, multiple escapes and non-appearances, repeat crimes and abuses. UNACCEPTABLE. Multi-County Agreements need to be coordinated to catalogue then transport these under-documented, fraud & crime perpetrating persons within hours to their Embassy, with an invoice for services presented to country of origin. A restraining order issued so that a return to any of the multi-county areas listed will result in more severe consequences and international criminal and civil charges filed against the Nation of Invaders' origin.

Words have meaning and that's why The Left manipulates them. Its all to erase the sign post on the map of history. They want a situation where the map is not the territory.

For them the past is not a burden; its a toolkit to shape the future.

Trump 2.0 has done a far superior job with communication, getting ahead of stories and letting the Left (MSM) beclown themselves than they did in the first go around.

The Trump team slowly lured the entire industry into a trap, only to hit them with a one-two punch that knocked the media’s teeth out.

Only The Left would attempt to re-import an illegal alien who was lawfully removed from the country. Are they not aware he's already been deported three times?

Also, he was identified by a confidential police informant as a confirmed MS-13 gang member with a rank and a moniker. If that wasn't enough he was a wife beater.

What happened to the "Me Too" movement, etc.?

Its disgusting. They don't care about people, only monikers they think will bring them power and leave their supporters ignorant and out of touch with reality.

If the kids' colors were switched, would the news and public be reporting this crime the same? Maybe. Maybe not.

Or maybe we are getting a taste of having roles reversed in a way. My grandmother remembers separate water fountains and bathrooms etc. She didn't care but there were many who did. However, that was a different era, and at the time, African Americans were not committing 50% of violent crime being only about 12-15% of the population. Sorry my black brothers and sisters. It's an ugly statistic, but we must face it and find out why to help these people before they commit crimes. It starts when they are young, and I suspect a lot of it stems from lack of proper education and the degrading angry violent rap music aimed at African Americans to help fill private prisons and destroy having families.

Victor Martinez-Hernandez is an illegal alien who is wanted in El Salvador for the murder of another woman. He is also linked through DNA to an attack in California of a 9 yr old girl and her mother. He should be extradited back to El Salvador and locked away in CECOT. That would be the most fitting punishment since Maryland does not have the death penalty. The only thing I can say about Van Hollen is at least he is finally working for his illegal alien constituents since I am pretty sure they are voting in MD.

That order was then vacated by SCOTUS---no jurisdiction, and with a caution to defer to the Executive authority on matters of immigration and national security. Factually, the SCOTUS kicked the case back down to the lower court with that *ruling* and admonition---the exact opposite of how you are portraying this. How you think a district court judge has the authority and jurisdiction to insert itself and usurp the designated authority of the Executive, is absurd, the antithesis of *the law of the land*.

I have been a RE Broker for 30 years and I find all of this fascinating. As to Trump’s case; it was absolutely ridiculous that he was charged with anything, as we all know. Values stated in commercial really mean nothing. What is important are operating statements, balance sheets and the risk a bank is willing or not willing to take. Period. Furthermore, the idiot judge was so ignorant of how real estate valuation works, that he used a tax assessed value versus market value. One has nothing to do with the other.

As to Leticia, her fraud is indeed illegal from the facts presented. She would claim principal residence because her downpayment would be much less (can do as low at 3 percent) versus an investment property which requires 25 percent minimum. I imagine she claimed to be married to her pops so that his income could be included to qualify for a loan.

With regard to her Brooklyn property, the fraud continues to this day. Also, the real estate taxes for over 20 years have been and continue to be calculated as a 4-family.

As many very smart academics did, he complied with the woke agenda and got jabbed- I thought only twice, but yes he convinced his kids and wife, too. He does attribute his eye issue to the jab- as well as other health issues - he was a huge donor to Killary's campaign in the millions of dollars and once he started asking questions about the jab he was 100% canceled from the tony social life he had grown so accustomed to. He couldn't get a single call back from any of his Silicon Valley govt representatives. He has an engineering degree from MIT and had a building on campus named after him- he invented, and has the patent for the optical mouse. MIT stripped his name off the building and he was fired from the board of the company he owned and founded! The rot runs deep. Now he's half blind and going half crazy thinking of the health of his wife and daughters. I also think he (before the jab) had recovered from cancer so I'm sure he is really that weighs heavily on him - he's used his personal wealth to fight against the jab and expose the danger for more than 4 years- he was an RFKJ supporter for president- in my opinion while he is a lib like Based says, I feel he will break through and reach a lot of people- he already has. One more thing - if you've read this far- in hindsight I think the whole Robert Malone's mass psychosis theory about how we can't change other people's minds on the jab was a psyop in itself to demoralize us and keep us from trying. I've never trusted him - it's a gut feeling. Maybe I'm wrong. For example I don't know a single American now that believes smoking is safe.

I cannot imagine at this point he misses any of his so called lib friends, especially when they treated him like that. He has an army of new friends and better influences to associate with. The only science the Left understands is the science of punishment.

The very statement “trust the science” exposes this deep misunderstanding. Progressives as allows look to centralized authority so they flock to organizations that claim to represent scientific truth.

Since progressives are also attracted to power they tend take over such organizations and purge real scientists in an attempt to create a single truth or so called consensus. Consensus is not a scientific word but a political word instead. Again another deep misunderstanding.

There are majority theories like “the big bang” but they are not a consensus and they are not truth only our best guess based upon the evidence. A consensus requires force like firing and purging scientists that don’t tow the party line (e.g.- climate change). Most people need a guiding truth. The ones that don’t are what the word “liberal’ used to mean until progressives hijacked it.

The basis of conservatism is self reliance. Those who tend to be self reliant are naturally skeptical especially when observations don’t match the claims. The socialist tendency of the left demands thinking collectively. It’s not as important that the object of their focus is true, only that it is a standard many see and follow. A lie is often more appealing than the cold hard truth. Conservative thinking is clearly more in line with scientific methods and leftist ideology leads to self delusion and tragedy.

Expand full comment

This is the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is knowing THAT you should act. Wisdom is now WHEN.

Putting aside all your other points, what is the point of banning something that can be unbanned in the next presidency? Banning vaccines is not a simple switch. It is a false idol with its own religion that must be carefully cast down. Instead of trying to address the surface issue (vaccines) he is instead addressing the idol that allows them to work (faith in them). That is why evidence is so important.

Totalitarians gonna totalitarian.

"Science in the Totalitarian State." 1941, pre-WWII in the US.

Foreign Affairs is a Council on Foreign Relations publication. Not exactly friends of individual liberty and freedom. But as the wheels of propaganda were ramping up to draw the US into WWII it was used to shape minds of the intelligentsia who read it and set up the US saving the world from totalitarianism narrative that was needed to support and sustain a war effort. And so the article reveals truths they knew about totalitarianism - and still know - even though the same global corporatists had invested in the rise of totalitarianism in Hitler's Germany, Mussolini's Italy and Stalin's Soviet Union. Revelations like those in this article were necessary to position the US as the savior of the free world, the mythos of the noble war that loomed ahead. Selected excerpts:

https://web.archive.org/web/20181125112623/https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/1941-01-01/science-totalitarian-state

"Why was it that invention lagged before the liberal movement of the eighteenth century? Because it involved experimentation, work with the hands, dirty work. Also it was useful -- and anything that was useful or commercial was held in contempt by the nobility. When the business man and the inventor were freed from this aristocratic fetishism, machine after machine appeared, and with the machines came mass production and mass consumption of identical goods. Without standardization mass production is impossible. To have cheap, good clothes we must all dress more or less alike. To bring automobiles within the reach of millions we must have the assembly line. To live inexpensively in cities we must eat packaged foods, dwell in more or less standardized homes, bathe in standardized bath tubs, and draw water and gas from common reservoirs. Mass production has brought it about that the average life in New York is hardly different from the average life in Wichita. The same motion pictures brighten the screen, the same voices and music well out of loud-speakers in every town, identical cans of tomatoes and packages of cereals are to be found on all grocers' shelves, identical electric toasters brown identical slices of bread everywhere, identical refrigerators freeze identical ice cubes in a million kitchens. If gunpowder made all men the same height, in Carlyle's classic phrase, mass production has standardized behavior, pleasures, tastes, comforts, life itself.

Mass production and labor-saving devices have created a social crisis. We cannot have mass production and mechanization without planning. Engineers and their financial backers are planners. Dictators are planners. Whether they know it or not, most corporation executives and engineers are necessary totalitarians in practice. Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin clearly have the instincts of engineers. Their states are designed social structures.

Often enough we hear it said that mechanical invention has outstripped social invention -- that new social forms must be devised if we are to forestall the economic crises that are brought about by what is called the "impact of science" on society. Communism and Fascism are social inventions, intended among other things to solve the economic problems created by technological change under the influence of capitalism. They attempt to answer a question: Are the technical experts and their financial backers to shape the course of society unrestrained, and even to rule nations directly and indirectly, as they did in France, and as they do in part in Great Britain and the United States? The totalitarians say that a capitalistic democratic government cannot control the experts, the inventors, the creators of this evolving mechanical culture. They therefore have decided to take control of thinking, above all scientific thinking, out of which flow the manufacturing processes and the machines which change life."

...

"It does not follow that under the Nazi or the Marx-Lenin dispensation there can be no science. What is likely to happen to science if totalitarianism prevails is revealed by the course of Egyptian art. In its earliest phases that art was fairly free; hence there was much experimenting, much striving for realistic modes of expression. When the priests took control of Egyptian life a dramatic change occurred. The ways of portraying the human being became stylized. For centuries the style hardly changed. Art had been frozen. And so must it be with research. There can be science and engineering under dictation; but it will be stylized science, engineering which does not progress."

Read about the "progressive" movement from the late 1800's/early 1900's. That is where they garnered the name. There was nothing progressive about them. I do get your point, I often call them "regressives" as well, however that is what the totalitarian leftist 'movement' was called. They brought us the 16th and 17th amendments and that Federal Reserve Act, so the movement is extremely detrimental to the Republic.

As Ryan points out they also hijacked the term 'liberal' from 'classical liberalism'. As far as language is concerned, they also hijacked the word gay (happy) and the rainbow (God's promise to Noah that He would never destroy the world by flood again) as well. The left/totalitarians love to manipulate the language and use it to their advantage. It is part of their attempt to control the narrative.

To me the word progressive does not have a positive meaning. Just like the insurance company... I would never use them because of their name (and their financial links to George Soros).

"They" (the Left) trust only power. What did Satan offer Adam and Eve? What did Satan offer Jesus in the wilderness? The offer was clear: Power. Satan offered lies. Lies that would "give" power.

What did the Second Adam counter with when He was offered power? Jesus responded with God's law which defines what truth is, "For it is written":

Matt 4:4... But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”... 7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”... 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

"Trust the Science"... The Left believes in lies. "Trust the Science" is the lie of consensus. Consensus does not determine or define truth. "Trust the Science" is a political lie that masquerades as THE truth. It's part of the secular religion of the Left which believes only in Man who is the determiner of truth.

Actual science is the process of discovering reality and this process is always challenging the established consensus or scientific paradigm.

"The big bang" is an extrapolation with a scope of many billions of years, made with data points only observable within the last century, at best. Any consideration of extra-dimensional phenomena with possible starting and ending points that do not fit this theory are not given any credence. The notion that matter and energy come from a source external to observable Creation, (i.e., God), is given no consideration by those who love their status in the world.

So, I would not characterize the theory as our best guess based upon the evidence. It is THEIR theory based on their pride, lack of curiosity, and lack of faith.

When we say vaccines cause autism, what we mean is that vaccines cause vaccine induced encephalopathy (VIE)

VIE has the EXACT same signs and symptoms as autism, but legally, when we diagnose it as autism, vaccine manufacturers can’t be sued: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/stop-calling-it-autism-start-calling

Her doctors said I must have been in deep denial all her life--they were silent about her documented high achievement until that point. After a LONG search (we're on the west coast, where medical competency is absent), I found doctors that recognized and would treat autoimmune encephalitis. I always wondered if it was vax related and her treating doctors recommended she never be vaccinated again. You explain why her physicians were so quick to insist on the absurd autism dx.

Healthcare: It isn't helped by the fact that politicians, the media, and those so influenced have started calling health "insurance" by the same title. I think even our C&C leader made this mistake. It makes me wonder why we don't have Automobile "Care" or Home Owner's "Care". Life "Care?" Legal "Care." Shouldn't the MDs be paying instead for Malpractice Care?

The words we use matter. Insurance isn't care, in fact one could successfully argue that it is antithesis to the care for which it pays (or doesn't). Health insurance locks us into a very specific type of "care." With this reasoning, perhaps a more appropriate phrasing would be Health Control. Perhaps then, we could work on the word 'benefit' and its usage in the corporate environment.

I think genes have little to nothing to do with it. I think that the vaxs and shots the parents have had do have something to do with it but I think mostly it is the result of the ingredients in the shots that affect the gut biome which is also affected by the chemicals in the foods we eat. The foods the nursing mother eats..the components in baby formula..giving an infant a HepB shot with hours of birth..not having a birth canal birth..not allowing all the blood to drain into the baby before cutting the cord..All of these things enter into it..then the kids get older and are feed garbage like pop tarts, cereal that has made from grains that has been sprayed with chemicals..lots of fast foods McDonald's and the like..

Developmental delays that are unexplained because “it just happens” and watching our friends with severely autistic kids -all of us try to figure out what our futures holds when our kids are 30 years old and we are still changing diapers! As bad as Jeff described it - IT IS FAR WORSE! And it is never ending for the rest of all of our lives. And you bet they wanna shut us up! You bet they wanna blame genetics! So in her younger days when she needed something and I needed help I got sarcasm and condescending remarks instead of help. Isolation is real. Watching other families go do normal family things brings heartbreak over and over again. Watching empty nesters plan their time together brings grieving up all over again. Balancing the sibling without special needs is a different animal. Care on opposite ends of the spectrum brings feelings of failure lots of times. This list goes on and on. It's hard to know what to think about any of this. When I was a kid growing up in the 1950s and 60s, I was aware of the condition of severe autism, and there were some kids who suffered from that. Then there was my brother, born in 1945 (and me in 1949) who seemed "odd" by the time of at least 7 or 8, or possibly before that but I just didn't know. My brother wasn't severe, but at that time little was understood about autism, and certainly the idea of an autism spectrum didn't yet exist. My parents sought help for him, but doctors had no idea what to do. One doctor suggested shock therapy, which my parents immediately rejected. So things just went on and we all adapted. My brother was extremely intelligent but his problems were social. He didn't want anything to do with me, he was closest to our mother, he avoided our father, and he had few if any real friends. It really wasn't until recent years when I read more about the autism spectrum and more specifically Aspergers that I realized this probably explained my brother. Despite his social issues, he did find a wife and they've been married for about 40 years now, no children. She apparently understands him and works with him to bring him out of his shell. He was highly intelligent....just out of high school he got a full scholarship to U.C. Berkeley and went there for a time but after a year or possibly two he dropped out because I think he couldn't really handle the university environment. He started smoking marijuana (just emerging in popularity at the schools in 1963) and got arrested with it, and possession was a felony at that time. That was a very upsetting incident. So emotionally he couldn't handle being at Berkeley any more. He was electronically and mechanically brilliant, and worked in that field for a long time, then later went back and got a B.A. in computer science and worked in that field. He's now 79 and much like he has always been socially. His wife understands, and I'm happy for him that he has had a productive (but not stressful) and peaceful life.

I'm glad I finally have a framework for how he has always been, but I don't think vaccines had anything to do with how he is. In the 1950s we had few if any vaccines...smallpox probably was the only one given for a long time, maybe tetanus if needed. We kids all got sick with measles, chicken pox, mumps, German measles and didn't need vaccines anyway. We got polio shots (taken orally on a sugar cube, actually) in the late 50's or early 60s. So his neurological damage, whatever it is, came early and who knows from what. My mother took DES when pregnant with me, but I don't know if it was given at the time she was pregnant with my brother in 1945. The genetic part, who knows? I don't know of anyone else in my extended family with autism or whatever it is. Maybe accidents of birth just happen.

However, after all this it seems that if the incidence of autism really is as large as it is now, there must be something causing it. Food additives could be a part of it. I hope RFKJr already knows and that is why he mentioned specifically that we'll know in September.

Thanks for sharing your story. It is an interesting one too. I can’t help but wonder if there’s more going on here too. From my understanding Autism spectrum is extremely wide. Much like CP and Developmental Delay which really for lots of DD people is just being on a CP spectrum from what we were told 33 years ago. Everyone that I personally know with Autism is extreme and unable to do what you describe your brother was able to do. So, I still say genetically no. But what other factors contribute to what went on with your brother. Idk. But I for one am super interested in what RFK JR comes out with. I have a sneaky suspicion it may not be all in on vaxxes and ingredients to blame, but maybe other factors as well.

I do think what you describe for your brother is rare for back then. Very small portion of the population. Not unheard of though. As you well stated.

Again, thanks for sharing your story.

I have friends who are upset if I suggest a heavy metal detox to help their “ spectrum disorder “ . I did one 9 year ago and my neurological issues improved significantly. I would flap and echo sometimes, that stopped. The kids in my kindergarten class were ones who other classes couldn’t handle. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen. By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that he who destroyed the firstborn would not touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as though they were passing through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were drowned.

And today is Holy Thursday; one day before Good Friday. Holy or Maundy Thursday is the name given to the day that Jesus celebrated the Passover with His disciples. It was also the day of His betrayal and arrest.

For Catholics it is also the day he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest. It also commemorates His institution of the priesthood.

The big difference between Moses and Christians of today is that Moses was obedient to God. God has been very meticulous in explaining how we should live and the repercussions we will suffer by not obeying him. I can’t help but think he spends a lot of his time thinking, “I tried to tell ya.”😊

The problem is, Christians have been coddled by their shepherds in the pulpit. You will often hear preachers say, “Be in the world, not of the world,” but then they never explain how NOT to be of the world.

The way to be “not of the world” is to refuse to participate in secular, pagan culture, and to live the way Jesus lived by obeying the Torah.

First century Jews were not educated by Greeks or Romans, they were educated by their own parents and/or Jewish leaders. First century Jews did not associate with pagans. They didn’t attend pagan events, enjoy pagan entertainment, eat at pagan restaurants, etc. They were an extremely closed community, much like Orthodox Jews are today, because that’s what the Mosaic Law (YHWH’s Law) required of them. Pagans were viewed as if they had some deadly, highly contagious disease that would spread into the Jewish community if Jews got too close to the them. Because in reality, they do.

Did Jesus associate with pagans? Occasionally, yes, but not without telling them they were sinners who needed to repent, stop sinning and obey God. The difference is, Jesus had the moral authority to engage with pagans. Modern Christians don’t, because we do just about everything the pagans do, and we do it the same way.

God told his people in Leviticus 18:3, “You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices.” And then, of course, Corinthians is full of admonishments by Paul for Christians to not even associate with people who call themselves Believers yet engage in certain types of egregious sin.

Living in the world and doing the same things pagans do is exactly why Christians are disrespected and irrelevant in today’s culture. And I include myself in that statement. But maybe the evil that permeates the world now will finally force Christians to start obeying God’s Word again. Believers carry the royal bloodline and divine genome of the Most High God. We should start living like it. May it be so. 🙏🏻

Hey Flyer, the way I interpret "paganism" is "the worship of idols." I believe that man, being flawed as long as he is on earth, will always worship idols of various kinds - the TV, the Internet, social media, chocolate, pizza, over indulgence, big houses and fancy cars, sports, politics, hatred, pride, ourselves - you name it.

Idol worship today and paganism both involve placing something or someone above God in terms of devotion and priority. However, for believers, the concept of idol worship takes on a different meaning. As new creations with new hearts, Christians have been cleansed and filled with the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26-27). This means that while believers may struggle with prioritizing things or people over God, their hearts are fundamentally aligned with Him.

As believers, we are called to set our minds on Christ and recognize Him as the only one worthy of our worship and devotion (Colossians 3:1-2). Our identity in Christ ensures that our hearts are not truly given over to idols, even if we face challenges in our daily walk.

Ultimately, the focus for believers is on renewing the mind and setting our hearts on Christ, who is our true source of fulfillment and purpose (Romans 12:2).

Expand full comment
FlatEarthFlyer's avatar

I think we should always try to interpret the world the way God interprets things in His Word, and in the case of paganism, the biblical definition is anyone who is not a member of God’s chosen tribe (i.e. Adamic/Abrahamic bloodline), does not faithfully worship the Most High God, and does not live according to His precepts. Christians may put undeserved importance on tangible or intangible things of the world, but if we are unwavering in our devotion to Christ, then I personally wouldn’t consider that true paganism. Pagans are easy to spot: They hate God, they hate righteousness, they are oftentimes tattooed or engage in other depraved body mutilations, they have no regard for the sanctity of human life, they eat unclean animals, they are promiscuous and/or sexually deviant, etc. Unfortunately, modern Christians engage in many of those behaviors (bacon, bacon, bacon!) so they look just like other pagans, which tells me they don’t realize what it means to truly follow Christ. And if they participate in those behaviors long enough, even though they belonged to God at some point, “Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,” Romans 1:24. Are they truly saved? That’s not for me to say, but Jesus said that it is impossible for a good tree to produce bad fruit, and vice versa…

I just now, read your comments. Very interesting with much truth in it. Also within this context, I was reading Matt. 12:30-32. Jesus, after explaining the spiritual truth of the concept of a house divided, speaks of the Holy Spirit, given to “Believers” at Pentecost. This is the difference between the Torah and the Gospel. We speak what is in our hearts and that is what we will be judged by. The enemy and the world works to divide, a constant conflict between God and the author of deceit and lies.

Some of us just don’t have anyone capable or young enough to tackle this kind of caregiving after we die.
