I'd go one step further with the plan and make the deposit with a positive pregnancy test instead of waiting until the baby is born. Wombed children need all the protection they can get and validating their humanness as early as possible will help a lot.

Baby accounts are interesting but not free. A one time $1 000 seed at birth is simple to administer and easy to audit. Front loading cash at a positive pregnancy test turns every miscarriage into a billing nightmare and invites fraud rings that prey on taxpayers. If we want prenatal help let private charities and state programs handle it, not the IRS.

Being pro-life should include fiscal sanity. A trillion-dollar unfunded mandate is not “culture of life.” Pair any new child benefit with equal size spending cuts or revenue offsets, otherwise we saddle those same kids with the bill plus interest.

Conspiracy detours (mRNA lettuce, aluminum smart dust) weaken the argument. If we demand evidence from pharma we should demand evidence from ourselves too. Credibility is currency spend it wisely.

The real enemy isn’t Democrats or Republicans, it’s bad policy. Focus on transparency, limited government and personal responsibility. That wins converts far faster than blanket accusations about an “anti-life party.”

Disagree? Fine. But let’s trade data, not hyperbole.

I respect the spiritual frame you are using, yet framing every problem as a cosmic battle with Satan can blur the real human choices that create the messes we have to clean up. Bad policy, greed, laziness, and fear are enough to wreck families and nations even without pitchforks and brimstone. When we call out specific actions lying on a balance sheet, torching a storefront, censoring debate we keep responsibility where it belongs: on people who can change their behavior. Faith can inspire that change, but it works best when paired with clear-eyed accountability in the here and now.

I finally listened to the interview Laura, thank you for encouraging me to do so, worth the time investment.

The two things, maybe three, that stood out me, were Mr. Childers showed more faith and dependence on prayer and Biblical knowledge than the preacher does. In the conversation about church shut downs, the preacher told of his seeking guidance from the leadership team, and the ethics and religious liberty group from the SBC/FBC on what to do. Mr. Childers statements on the 1st Amendment was gold, I think it sailed right over the preacher's head when Mr. Childers asked him "what does the Bible say” about gathering together.

Second, the preacher seemed to be seeking information on how Mr. Childers grew Coffee&Covid to having the outreach that it has. While interesting to a point, I interpreted the line of questioning as the preacher seeking the secret to growing his own SM audience. Earlier in the interview the preacher showed concern on congregation ‘numbers being down, the church may never recover’.

I’ll leave with this, as the discussion progressed I kept visualizing the religious hierarchy Jesus battled during his very short ministry. Jesus was a threat to the power base of the Pharisees, their livelihood. There was no concern for the welfare of the people, only compliance, obedience and participation. Not saying this preacher doesn’t care for his flock, it simply appeared to me he put the rules of man ahead of the guidance of God. The statements by the preacher that ‘shutting the churches down could devastate the Kingdom, we can’t do this much longer’. It’s not up to you me or any preacher to build the Kingdom, only to share the word, sow the seed, and let God reap the harvest.

All this is why I attend non-denominational churches, for the past 40 plus years at least. I’ve seen too many weak Bible teaching churches. Yes, I was raised in the Baptist church, American Baptist to be precise. That there are many different brands of Baptist Churches should say something.

I thank God daily that He gave us this man to help us through the noise of the scamdemic. I knew early on that covid had to be a lie (I worked in a hospital) and Jeff's charts proved it and more. I no longer work in healthcare (thank God) by my own choice as I saw how from the top down we were not working toward health or wellness, but keeping sickness in the front where the money is. Medicine is a business and nothing more. It was really hard for me coming to this realization, especially giving nearly 30 years of my life to it, but reading Coffee & Covid along with every comment from all you good people daily got me through it. Respectfully, gullibility is not confined to the unchurched Gen Z crowd. Plenty of people steeped in Sunday school lessons have fallen head first for QAnon hashtags, Nigerian prince emails, and miracle Bitcoin “prophets.” The shared weakness is not a shortage of Bible verses; it is a shortage of intellectual hygiene: media literacy, basic logic, and a habit of verifying before sharing.

Critical thinking flourishes through rigorous education, wide reading, and open debate whether the source is the Book of Proverbs, Origin of Species, or a statistics class on p values. Faith traditions can strengthen character, but so can Stoicism, civics, and a well run debate club. Minds resist viral nonsense when the surrounding culture prizes evidence over vibes, questions over clickbait, and persuasion over coercion.

Blaming skepticism or moral drift solely on declining church attendance oversimplifies the issue and lets schools, parents, and media platforms off the hook for teaching real discernment.

And there is the key. The American church (the body of Christ on earth) is sitting in the back of the bus. There needs to be a reformation and revival of historic Biblical Christianity in America before she can once again fulfill her prophetic role of speaking God's law to society and culture. Right now, the majority of the church doesn't even understand this.

It's not a lack of biblical teaching. People are just plain stupid in seeking spiritual advice of any kind from a computer program. I would say to seek your spiritual truth from within or consult with actual living people of any spiritual path and see if that's a fit for you. Indoctrinating people with one particular path is just as bad as consulting ChatGPT. I was raised with biblical teaching from a wee tyke and that drove me away from it when I was older and able to do some of my own critical thinking. But everyone is on their own path and even being jerked around by a computer program is a path and will eventually lead to greater wisdom when they discover the advice was bad.

Clem, “There is a way that SEEMS right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” And yes, I am quoting the Word of God, Proverbs 16:25. Jesus is the true and right way! Good luck with that “pick your own path” thing when it is time to stand before the judgment of God. You might as well say to God, “Yeh, I heard about Your way, of sending Your Son to become a man, live a perfect sinless life, and willingly suffer torture and die to pay the price for the sins of rebellious mankind, but I didn’t like that so I rejected it and went another way.”

You are quoting the word of man who claims to be writing for God. The bible is the word of man, written by man. Unless God picked up a clay tablet and stick and began etching those words him/her/itself all quotes of God came from someone who claimed to be speaking for God. I've heard more than a few cranks who claim to speak for God. You can still find them on the radio and TV all the time. God created EVERYONE so why would IT be judging it's own creation? God gave EVERYONE free will, correct? You don't give free will and then say "but only if you do it my way." To know light you must also know darkness, that is how we grow and decide what is the best way for us. Don't be fearful of an Old Testament wrathful, judgemental deity that acts like a dictator. If God is Love, then God allows you to make mistakes, to learn, to grow, to BE....all without judgement.

I just read the overview. The pic of the author reminds me of an aged Yuval Harari which freaks me out. The subject matter is difficult. I am not sure if I even want to venture into such territory. Hope that does not make me a wimp. I will ponder and see if they have at the library. Perhaps I will challenge myself to the first chapter and see how it goes from there. It is not that scary... and it is, after all, just a translation of the original writings that became the Bible... by a guy that used to be a translator for the Vatican.

He does look a bit scary though!

What can the righteous do?

The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD’S throne is in heaven;

And the one who loves violence His soul hates.

Upon the wicked He will rain snares;

Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.

A Rich Life (The Best Things in Life Aren't Things)

By Joseph J. Mazzella

I grew up “poor” here in the mountains of my home. Now we always had more than enough to eat. We always had clothes on our backs. We always had a home except for a few days when my Nana’s house that I first lived in burned down. We always were rich in love, laughter, and joy.

Society, however, kept showing me just how “poor” we were. Commercials, television shows, and magazines always showed the many things you needed to have to enjoy “The Good Life.” I decided then to graduate college, get a high paying job, and buy all the things I could never afford before. I even cut out pictures of a Mercedes Benz and a fancy mansion out of a magazine to keep my eyes on what I wanted.

God, however, had other plans for me. I struggled to find work after college. Life was hard. Money was tight. First one and then two of my children were diagnosed with Autism and being mentally handicapped. In the years that followed I saw that I was never going to have that big house and expensive car. I was never going to be rich or admired in the eyes of the world.

Looking back on all of those years now I can only look up to the heavens and say: “Thank You!” I can see so clearly now that being wealthy wasn’t what I needed in this life. Losing myself in the search for money and things would have meant losing my own soul. I had to learn what truly makes a rich life here. I had to learn that love is the most valuable thing of all. I had to learn that in the eyes of God we are all rich, we are all priceless, and we are all Loved.

Robert Fulghum wrote: “Living the good life and living a good life are not the same thing.” I am so grateful God guided me to live a good life: a life full of love, a life full of laughter, a life full of kindness, and a life full of joy. In truth I have never been poor a single day in my life. I have instead always been rich in all the things that matter. And that is my wish for you.

A Dog Asks For A Job

A dog walks into an employment agency and, in perfect English, says, "Excuse me, I need a job."

The receptionist, stunned, replies, "Wait a second… you're a talking dog?! This is incredible! With a talent like that, you could easily land a job with the circus!"

The dog tilts his head, confused, and asks, "The circus? Why would they need an architect?"

Let's call the riots in LA and around the nation what they need to be called: The John Roberts Riots.

They are the predictable and predicted outcome of allowing judges to dictate national security, border enforcement. With anyone in a black robe able to veto the president's Article II powers chaos predictably ensues and the people take matters into their own hand. John Roberts' failure to intervene and control his judiciary that has granted themselves presidential authority has led to the lawlessness we are seeing, approved defiance of law and order. The nation can have, can only survive with one president.

The John Roberts Riots of 2025. This is what we are experiencing. Let there be no confusion about where the responsibility for them lies. In a just world, a world where justice prevails, John Roberts would be impeached and removed from the Court. He caused and is causing cities to burn, property to be damaged, looted, people to be harmed, killed. This is ALL on John Roberts.

It's the aggregating of man's eating of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. Those who developed it have said "I can be like the Most High." Yuval Harari is eager to worship it. It's a ouija board, but with microchips.

I agree, but I think it’s even worse. Having used a Ouija board once as a teenager, I believe Ouija boards are possessed by demons. And I suspect the same could be true for AI. While there is no Scripture that specifically says demons can possess inanimate objects, the story of Pharaoh’s magicians throwing down their staffs and the staffs becoming serpents leads me to believe that the staffs were possessed by demons. I think it’s possible that AI could be the Beast that comes from the Bottomless Pit, i.e. the angel/demon Apollyon.

Expand full comment
Tom's avatar

I think Zechariah 10:2, quoted above, is indicative that demons were speaking through the household gods.

I believe that the same will happen with AI if it is not already taking place.

Ultimately, I believe that the image of the beast, given breath, may well be AI. I think it will be done in this way by the adversary because they will want to clothe with science the supernatural things they will do. They won't want unbelievers to develop a supernatural worldview, because some of them might turn to God.
