Hooray 🙌🏻 🎉 Good Morning, Jeff! Good morning, C&C Family! God bless and keep President Trump today especially! State of the Union Day!

Proberta's avatar

Even with all the evidence of rape, torture, Human Trafficking, and sexual abuse of children, Jeffrey Epstein still got off with THE LIGHTEST SENTENCE EVER in the state of Florida for sex crimes!

And who was the corrupt State Attorney that let Epstein off, and what happened to him???

In 2017 Alexander Acosta was appointed the 27th Secretary of Labor for the United States of America!

By President Donald J. Trump.

My Favorite Things's avatar

Proberta,

One can’t expect perfection in every single situation. Trump was probably told Acosta was a good choice for the job. Trump couldn’t vet everything, so he had to trust his people. Is there a person alive that hasn’t trusted the wrong person?

Steve Stevens's avatar

Everybody blames Trump’s picks on everybody else but him. Couldn’t he google some of these people’s names and find out for himself whether they were any good or not? Or would that take away from his tweeting time?

Mary Mc's avatar

and this Googling would take place when? Between, trials, investigations, hearings, etc, etc, etc? He's supposed to be able to trust people in his own party, at the least to advise him, especially when he isn't an insider... as should all people in that position, no matter which party. Washington is a viper nest and few can be trusted.

Susan Daniels's avatar

None can be trusted—too much self-interest.

Steve Stevens's avatar

In between tweets. Googling doesn’t take that long.

Since he’s not an insider, that’s all the more reason to not trust people.

Aaron's avatar

Lol.Thank you for proving the cognitive dissonance of "supporting" a false prophet. Just wow, I'm a dummy and even knew Acosta's name and his malfeasance! By the way our dear leader is reportedly mentioned in these same files 38,000 times...Also we found out the great Howard Lutnick is Proven liar and also was close to Epstein after lying to everyone about his neighbor and their relationship. Doubtful any of these FACTS will wake you from your slumber...

Dolce Far Niente's avatar

And are you claiming you knew Acosta was a bad 'un in 2017, as you claim Trump should have?

Just curious, as you're so smart and all.

Sue Kelley's avatar

Google is such a great and accurate source of information

Proberta's avatar

"...he had to trust his people"

Or MFT, Trump's best bro was the elite pimp to the Elites, and Trump had Mar-a-lago and the stable of beautiful young pageant girls, and all his Elite billionaire pedo buddies, and Epstein was pimping girls to and from Mar-A-Lago (see Virginia Guiffre vs Prince Andrew, Duke of York),

And Trump rewarded the corrupt State Attorney who let Epstein off, with a PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT!

Mary Mc's avatar

Guiffre actually worked at MAL and was hired away by JE (as I have read). She was one of several reasons JE was banned from MAL.

As to 45's bad picks... he thought he could actually TRUST, the Rs in the Senate and from past administrations to HONESTLY recommend good people to him. He was very naive and IMO has learned (the hard way) that he couldn't trust any of them. In his 4 years off, he worked with his OWN TRUSTED people and has much better, sharper and more honest people in the administration.

mspring's avatar

I think you have the right view of this issue, Mary. Just thinking back there were appointments he ( and we) thought would be effective ones that turned out to be ineffective ,(Jeff Sessions, cof!). There were ones who appeared to be effective and loyal but turned out to be working against him undercover. And some who pledged loyalty right until they took positions, then flipped. I'm not sure how much was naivety, or just ignorance. Trump lived in a world with different parameters, one where performance and completion was everything (with a whole bunch of sub themes; competence, skillsets, access, loyalty, etc). What he found was much worse than what he'd heard, i expect. We all live in a world more akin to Trump's than the swamp, and I'd bet we would be just as gobsmacked as he was! It sure seems though that he went back to his former world view in selecting this current batch and strategy.

Proberta's avatar

"Guiffre actually worked at MAL and was hired away by JE"

Yes Mary, and pimped to Prince Andrew.

Epstein was pimping girls to and from Mar-a-lago.

And Trump rewarded the corrupt State Attorney who let Epstein off, with a PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT.

william howard's avatar

you lefties really do live in a fantasy world

Mary Mc's avatar

It would be interesting to know what Acosta said to justify his decisions in the Epstein issue? Perhaps we might have hired him also?

Alice Ball's avatar

Hey Proberta, why don't you go peddle trash on your own wildly successful Substack? Are you lurking around here trying to get some lefties to follow you so you can make a buck?

Proberta's avatar

"Alice, rather than simply respond with impotent insults, just show where anything I've said is inaccurate.

Alice Ball's avatar

There's absolutely no need for me to enlighten you since 98% of C&C readers are well aware of what's true & what's trash.

annademo's avatar

It's hard to pick just one thing. There's lots to choose from. I gave you the benefit of the doubt when I responded to your first post. I see now that you are just another sad TDS case.

Bobbi's avatar

Yes, he made several mistakes during his first term. I'm glad Acosta resigned.

Proberta's avatar

"I'm glad Acosta resigned"

Acosta didn't voluntarily resign, it was the public outrage that forced him to resign.

CStone's avatar

But he did resign.

Steve Stevens's avatar

Several mistakes? He’s a mistake making machine!

And he doesn’t learn from his mistakes because he keeps repeating them.

Fiat Lux's avatar

I can tolerate mistakes from a man who hasn't spent his life lying to people for political gain. Trump was never going to be a pond scum sucking politician. We knew that. So we tolerate the verbal gaffes and inappropriate remarks bcuz we know he is fulfilling every promise we asked him to.

Johnny-O's avatar

"fulfilling every promise we asked him to"

Nobody can claim that. Try being more accurate with your words. He's also doing a lot of things we didn't ask him to do - like being the world's police man, bombing 7 countries, etc.

Alice Ball's avatar

Good God Johnny-O, you are a world class idiot.

Fiat Lux's avatar

Johnny you might be in the wrong room.

@Johnny- Oh, PLEASE name the 7 countries! We all want to know!

David K Thiel's avatar

If you aren't making mistakes it is because you aren't doing anything.

CStone's avatar

lol. I love it when you zero-heads talk smack. As though you have ever succeeded at anything in your pathetic existence.

CStone's avatar

Awwwww……you could have done so much better, with every corrupt demonicRAT after your hide???

Idiot,

Abiding Dude's avatar

He's making far more THIS term.

Concerned mom's avatar

President Trump was misinformed and mislead in many ways, with many of the suggested appointments he made his first time around...he was basically playing in an arena he was not familiar with (all the political corruption). He seems to be doing so much better now, although there's no perfect human being alive on this planet today...

c Anderson's avatar

GW Bush appointed Acosta to the National Labor Relations Board long before Trump maintained him in that position.

Proberta's avatar

Yes, and then Trump appointed him SECRETARY OF LABOR!

c Anderson's avatar

Would Trump appoint him now? Hindsight is 20-20. 🫏

Proberta's avatar

"Would Trump appoint him now?"

Well c, Acosta is obviously Deep State, and Trump appoints Deep State.

Johnny-O's avatar

I can't figure out if Trump is just a poor dupe, or a 3D chess master. Which is it?

Concerned mom's avatar

I believe that before long, we will surely find out!

Steve Stevens's avatar

Ha ha, good one!

Whichever one works to absolve him of any blame.

Johnny-O's avatar

I'm tired of all the politician bootlicking. It seems as though very few around here are aware that politicians are PUBLIC SERVANTS, not idols.

Steve Stevens's avatar

I don’t see how someone could be so in love with a politician that they would do all of these mental backflips to explain away his mistakes and write about it in a blog? Especially when said politician is doing the opposite of what he campaigned on. That is warped!

John of Oregon Fame's avatar

Johnny-O, you'll find out soon.

Johnny-O's avatar

I've been hearing this for years.

CStone's avatar

We know. You’re a McDonald’s drive-thru kind they/them.

Tomas Pajaros's avatar

Epstein was one of the largest investors in the hedge fund managed by Bear Stearns and a key federal witness in the criminal prosecution of two of Bear Stearns’ top executives in 2008 —

the same year a non-prosecution agreement between federal prosecutors and Epstein’s legal team was negotiated.

"It isn’t clear if Epstein’s involvement in the Bear Stearns case played a role in his plea deal," but the Miami Herald’s award-winning story on the plea negotiations revealed “an unusual level of collaboration between federal prosecutors” led by Alexander Acosta, and Epstein’s legal team.

Jacquijacq's avatar

Let’s face it, in his first term, Trump made some stinker appointments - listening to recommendations from long time entrenched Republicans. This time he is staying away from them

Critical Thinker's avatar

Interesting. An oversight, or putting baddies in the spotlight to further incriminate themselves. Or, you might suggest this is Trump being deep state himself...always a possibility but not one that stands up to any sort of scrutiny.

Proberta's avatar

"Trump being deep state himself....not one that stands up to any sort of scrutiny"

Except for the fact that the Deep State is running America because Trump filled the Swamp, AGAIN.

Abiding Dude's avatar

True.

Lutnick may soon resign... hell, Trump might too!

Wiles is a vile POS... Ratcliffe and Waltz traitors... Hegseth a clown, Kellogg too... Rubio a jagoff...

Kash and Blondi, despicable turncoat liar scum...

Janine Melnitz's avatar

There will be no meaningful arrests while Bondi is in place. Possible no arrests with Trump either. Remember when MTG stated that Trump told her he was concerned about the release of the Epstein files because they would hurt "many of my friends". Why the f*ck are you still friends with these idiot freaks?

Abiding Dude's avatar

Agree.

IMO, Kash and Blondi and Bongina are all protecting Trump by participating in his ludicrous denials and diversions.

What a STENCH of guilt and corruption!

I'm betting Trump will NOT finish his term.

Johnny-O's avatar

Trump was selected, as all are presidents. Don't you think it is a bit odd that ostensibly the most powerful person in the world (Trump) went through 2 alleged assassination attempts that have had investigations that are utter jokes?

Proberta's avatar

"...investigations that are utter jokes"

Of course they are! Because the fake AF Trump shooting: https://old.bitchute.com/video/XyQfYhZO9mLT/

...was as fake as the fake AF Charlie Kirk shooting!

Johnny-O's avatar

CStone's avatar

I love the way you interact with ZERO. Paid protesters connection online is so funny.

Tag-teaming.

annademo's avatar

During his first term, President Trump was poorly advised on building his team and being a political novice, he went along. The current iteration of President Trump has been picking much better team members. Do you agree?

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

I completely agree, annademo. I think this cabinet is overall the strongest I’ve seen in my adult lifetime.

c Anderson's avatar

Bert, manipulating facts leaves you open to looking stupid when you are finally outed.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

In 2017 it was, what I’m saying.

Johnny-O's avatar

What is new knowledge? Acosta? That's laughable if that is what you are suggesting - especially for the alleged 3D chess master Trump.

CStone's avatar

Well, let’s just say, it’s above your ability to understand. Your level is about ZERO. You chose the moniker, now OWN IT, Johnny aloha snackbar ZERO

Janine Melnitz's avatar

Acosta even admitted it was an order from above his pay grade regarding the sweetheart deal. It shows Epstein was involved all the way up the food chain. I put little blame on Acosta at this point.

Proberta's avatar

Yes Janine, Acosta was obviously Deep State, and could be counted on to do as he was told and let Epstein off.

That's why Trump rewarded him with a PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT!

CStone's avatar

Johnny Zero brought you in for backup, I see. Bert and Johnny

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

There was another crazy who tried to attack Mar-a-Lago early yesterday morning with a gas can and a shotgun. He got past the outer perimeter but was "neutralized", as they say.

President Trump wasn't even at Mar-a-Lago. When he talked to Angel Families yesterday, President Trump mentioned all the people gunning for him and said he hoped he'd make it through his term.

Maggie Think of Me's avatar

That was not yesterday. It was over the weekend. Trans guy pointed his shotgun at secret service and bought the farm.

kittynana's avatar

@Skeptical- you mean so-called Angel Families, as per CNN.

" so-called Angel Families" - These are families who have had family members MURDERED by illegals!

Johnny-O's avatar

What about Lutnick Yuri?

Crickets.....

Lisa Runquist's avatar

Suggest that he will ultimately be prosecuted, thus showing that Trumps people are not showing favorites. If i were Litnick i would be very very anxious.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

I’m thinking he’s using him at this point. Too many instances of ick from that guy.

Johnny-O's avatar

It would seem like with all the big financial dealings with globalists and leaders around the world that Epstein had, having one of his associates in Lutnick running one of the most important and powerful governmental departments may not be the greatest of ideas. But I know Trump is playing 3D chess and we should just trust the guy no matter what.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

I guess we’ll eventually find out.

CStone's avatar

The way you’re panicking, I’m beginning to believe you’re on Epstein’s list, ole Johnny-Zero.

CStone's avatar

Yes, Zero. There are some Republicans…., fr but by far the list contains your favorite fellow demonicRATS. What about Podesta, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, Hakeem Jeffries…..you sure you want the entire list?

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

Agree Johnny-O, that he should probably resign but there are so many more in the Demo camp it appears so far.

Ok ok, I'm going to show some of my turning over a new leaf for life extension optimism here. Stay with me, this may sound like a crackpot theory but here goes. Trump disparaging MTG (have you already forgotten who this is?) and Massie, Bondi's flip flop on "I have the files", then, "no big deal, he just used the girls for himself", Kash Patel and Bongino "He definitely killed himself", Trump's "are you still talking about...Epstein, that creep" and finally blondy's "look at the dow!" were all clown show distractions designed to give cold comfort to the creeps, assuage their concerns and let their guard down. At some point they are going to spring the trap and they're all going down, finishing up with all the Rothschilds burning at the stake. I feel so much better, I'll live to a hundred now!

Thank you Richardw--I posited to husband this weekend past that perhaps DJT dumping so cruelly on Sen. Massie is just one scene in one act of one play. Same for MTG. Same for the bromance break-up with Elon.

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

I think bromance break up with Elon was planned ahead and staged…

Great to see this fallout from the Epstein file release finally happening.

On a separate note, I am curios what is going on with Obama (Russia hoax) - I have tried to be patient, but it has been 7 full months. I know because I set a calendar invite to check up on this after 7 months which came yesterday.

Jeff I was so excited when you wrote this on 7/23/25:

"What made Trump’s moment yesterday so Rubicon-like wasn’t the accusation itself. It was the irreversible commitment it represented. You don’t accuse a former president of treason —on camera, in the Oval Office, claiming you have the proof— and later shrug it off as political theater. Sorry, never mind!

...

If Trump is wrong, or if he fails to follow through, the blowback won’t just be political injury; it will be existential. His credibility will implode, his presidency will stall, and his enemies will seize the narrative: that he recklessly smeared a predecessor for meaningless revenge.

...

Either Obama faces justice, or Trump’s presidency is buried beneath the weight of his own words."

When is Justice going to happen? we are over 25% through this administration and I am frustrated that this has not advanced.

Do you still stand by what you wrote? I am trying not to lose the faith....

Blair's avatar

revealing and prosecuting the traitorous crimes can only help the midterms.

PapayaSF's avatar

Absolutely. The massive Somali daycare fraud and all the Medicare scams are a particularly juicy target. Welfare scammers are widely despised, and it hits Democrats at their strongest persuasion point: that they are the “good people” just trying to help the needy. When people see proof of billions in fraud, some of which went into Democrat politician pockets, it will be a crisis for their entire party.

If any of you are betting people, you can get 5 to 1 odds on betting markets that the GOP will keep the House. I see that as an essential part of Trump’s plan, so I made a large wager.

My man! Speaking of the Overton window and the Epstein files, I wanna caution we’re seeing a lot of talk of sadistic acts being put into society because of these files.

It’s starts with outrage first, but that’s the expose. As stated, soon such acts like pedophilia could become the norm.

Of course we hope this doesn’t happen, but 1) this is the Overton window and 2) we do live in a satanic society they are pushing.

Here’s some work on the Overton window and the satanic society we find ourselves in. Only by standing on the Word, truth, and love can we overcome:

In case there are any Eisenstein readers out there, the first in his series on the Epstein files. More to come.

Starting to look like Trump and Putin might be the only two political leaders not to be dragged into the Epstein mess.

Don't count on Trump being innocent.

His craven and pathetic denials and diversions have the stench of a GUILTY fella...

"The overseas-first rollout couldn’t be more perfectly sequenced if someone had planned it this way."

I wonder who could have possibly planned THAT?

This is what I voted for!!! :D

Glad to see more fallout from the files, but it's definitely a _long_ and slow wait for any sort of real justice in the US. Admittedly, the explanation of building up some sort of narrative does make sense, though it's sad we're at a point where this just highlights the multi-tiered justice system. Any "normal" person caught up in this would never see the light of day, but the wealthy/powerful too easily skate free. And then you get judges who issue "affluenza" rulings and more who won't give fair sentences to people who "didn't know better". :-/

Didn't know about Mike Rowe's podcast for some reason, but looking that up now. I've appreciated his contributions and his common sense advice/work ethic.

Attia, a trained oncologist, gained attention 10-15 years ago by writing a series of essays on blood serum lipids, LDL, HDL, etc. He was also good friends with Gary Taubes, who wrote on the hormonal theory of obesity. I had no idea of how he ran his medical practice or his association with Epstein. When he started his podcast I listened occasionally. However, when the mRNA vaccines were forced onto the population Attia had a medical doctor on that stated emphatically that there was nothing to worry about. The vaccine would be broken down by the body in several hours and excreted . Attia had no questions, no response to this drivel. The doctor he interviewed was an uninformed idiot and you did not have to know much to realize that. I agreed with Taubes and some of the work Attia had done, but I hit the delete button. Another issue with Attia is how he treated Dave Feldman, and you can look into that if your interest is lipidology.

I have been interested in metabolism, ketosis, etc. for 20 years, and I know plenty of researchers, doctors (which includes DARPA and the US Navy Seals-exogenous ketones), in this area. When the madness began five years ago there was no rhyme or reason to how the experts that you respected would respond. Let's just say it separated the men from the boys and the women from the girls. It was a a litmus test, and I would never have guessed who would stand up and do the right thing and who just bent with the wind. It was not a function of credentials.

Whether you were an esteemed virologist, or the black dude in Southwest DC that basically told Fauci to fuck off when he and the mayor came around to promote the shots, there was no predicting what people would do.

But if the Epstein files produces prosecution for everyone culpable in them, who will populate the Democrat party? A forfeit in every election because they couldn't field a team wouldn't be much fun for the GOP would it?

Are people not aware one of Trump's most powerful cabinet positions is filled by Epstein pond scum? Lutnick had his whole family, kids and all, out to the island years after Epstein was a convicted sex offender - which he lied about.

Then he'll very likely be caught up in the process, and have to resign.

Shawn Pitcher's avatar

Resignations will not be enough. Big names need to be taken completely out of the game.

MaryAnn's avatar

Resignations are just a bone to the rabid dogs waiting for the meat. Think coaches getting caught in NCAA violations. They resign as a release valve. Fortunately, the corruption while in office, influence pedalling (Hunter Biden anyone?), are real crimes that, unfortunately, carry harsher penalties than crimes of the flesh. Which is why Randy Andy appears to be shell-shocked in that photo.

Reginald Thibodeau's avatar

Evidently your fellow travelers have been attempting that numerous times since he took office, and even before.

huge difference

I wish I had known about the meet up. I'm in So Cal and wouldn't have loved to join the group. :D
