Jeff, I love one of the paragraphs in your Substack so much that I am going to repeat it right here:

"All these “good” CDC and NIH employees kept their mouths shut during covid. They could have spoken up and mitigated the harm. But the “good ones” stayed silent, kept their heads down, to save their jobs. Now, they’ve lost their jobs anyway, since the public has learned the hard way that the bloated health bureaucracies are an imminent danger and must be pruned to protect us all."

Jeff, I have ZERO respect for the COWARDS at the lower levels that lost their jobs because they FAILED TO DO THE RIGHT THING. This is why the MONSTERS at the top get away with their EVIL. Everyone who BOWED THE KNEE in any way to keep these awful Covid jabs in circulation, as well as masks and jab mandates, deserves a painful reminder of their cowardice.

I've been paying out of pocket for 15 yrs. I have a lower cost insurance with high deductible just in case of a catastrophe. When you pay out-of-pocket, most things cost a fraction of the listed price, and you don't need anybody's permission. For instance, I got an MRI for under $350. I rarely need a doctor… mostly bloodwork or an occasional infection.

If you can find a good concierge doctor, that is a great way to go, too.

There are very few in private practice...and the ones that are, do not (or can not) accept most medical insurance plans. They do however, charge fees for services that are quite affordable...you actually pay LESS than you pay monthly for insurance! I have a Medicare Advantage plan for emergencies, but I self-pay for a lot of things that I want. I recently went for routine lab work for my yearly medicare checkup...the "this is not a bill" statement had the fee for the labwork was over $1100.00!! For taking a sample of blood and doing a few tests on it...insane, what a racket!

Expand full comment
R1ghtTh1nk's avatar

I switched to private labs several years ago. Ulta Test Labs has reasonable prices and regular discounts - D3 is $39 (I test 3x / year); mineral tests are similar (more if combos); I recently started having lipid panels done outside of "the clinic" as well. The blood draws are done at a small Quest Diagnostics lab near me; test results are reported by them.

Lately I've seen a lot of labs such as Quest actively advertising various lab tests that an individual can request and get done all on their own. The prices I've seen are quite reasonable, and I suspect they are less than would have been charged in a medical insurance system. It's not complicated tests they offer, but nevertheless a fairly wide range of basic tests such as PSA, cholesterol, and the like.

I broke my arm (uncomplicated) in 2020. A vit D3 test was part of the deal. About six months later, I requested another test, which cost $128! The first one was "medically necessary"; the second one was not. That was the impetus for learning about private labs.

More and more great doctors are going to the concierge plan… They don't take insurance, but considering the cost of quality insurance, the concierge plan seems like a better deal. I do that, and then carry a catastrophic insurance in case of a big emergency.

My husband is on Medicare, and he still uses our concierge doctor because he likes the care, the convenience, and the personal relationship.

Expand full comment
liz's avatar

where do you buy your catastrophic insurance? I used to have it through REI but they dont do that anymore.

Expand full comment
Connect The Dots's avatar

I actually have it through Liberty HealthShare… Which is not exactly catastrophic insurance per se. It's not for everybody… But it's worked well for me for the last four years. They will cover my medical costs, such as tests or bloodwork after my deductible. I have to submit the bills sometimes, and sometimes they are a little slow to pay… But I can go see whoever I want (even mayo clinic). They do not cover the cost of my concierge naturopath, but neither does regular insurance.

They cover up to $1 million (I think that is per year per person but don't take my word for that.)

When I have to pay out-of-pocket (for later reimbursement) I tell whoever I'm seeing that I am self-pay. Liberty HealthShare will reimburse me, but the bills are so much lower it's not even funny.

So it's a little bit of a hassle, but because I rarely use it, I don't care. I'm very happy that I'm not in "the system".

Lepew, it's not individual doctors that we can't trust. It depends on many factors. Is their group owned by a hospital?---if yes, way less independent since hospitals are arm-in-arm with govt. Look for independent doctor-owned groups. Functional medicine is a great area for being a healthy human---their focus is root cause, food is medicine, Big Ag/Food/Pharma responsible for many health problems. Medical school is brutal and most doctors know "what they are taught" and it's an enormous amount of information & the pace is lots of sleepless nights. They might have one class on nutrition, not a semester but one class----which is why traditional (not functional) docs usually think what you eat isn't relevant to disease, wrong! They are also taught that tens of millions of people would die without vaccines, and there is no genuine research into any of them. I am a school nurse at a private school & privates have to be open to survive, so we followed all of the "health dept" rules in order to open & had surprise inspections all the time (publics were closed & health dept harrassed us). I was deeply suspicious of everything the CDC & FDA & Fauci/Collins/Birx said from the beginning & was certain they were lying through their teeth by Dec 2020. But our captured health agencies being corrupt cesspools doesn't mean that doctors are not trustworthy. Most that I know were very suspicious as well and KNEW they were lying about ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, steroids and Z-pak antibiotics----all up to the task of getting well. Just remember that the CIA is intertwined with the health agencies & that's where Covid came from to begin with -----a political hit job by the CIA to cripple Trump & prevent a 2nd term, and Obama behind the scenes pulling the strings. They are all lying liars & all of the ones who were involved with the Covid response should be fired & Fauci et al committed murder bc they knew the drugs would work, but Big Pharma needed a $100 billion win so they lied. Fauci & Collins should both be in jail. You can usually tell which doctors are "on your side" by asking a few questions. Good luck if you're in a blue state though.

I'm in Jeff's Patience Grasshopper mode. Although Trump & team are moving at a remarkable pace, not everything can or should be undone instantly & only through a reversible EO. I think RFK will expose all or almost all of the corruption seen in the CDC & FDA throughout Covid. Most people think Fauci is the main or only medical liar, but Collins is equally guilty. Both are deeply political & have been in charge of billions of dollars going into sketchy research that benefitted Big Pharma, research labs at universities, and not much else. They colluded to stain the Great Barrington Coalition as "fringe epidemiologists." Those fringe docs are now in charge. They lied through their pointy sharp lizard teeth about Hydroxychloroquine (Trump says to drink bleach!) and Ivermectin (literally a Nobel Prize winning antiviral, and a fantastic anti-parasite drug). They pulled them from the market & threatened doctors and pharmacists from prescribing them. They KNEW both worked & did it anyway & thus millions of American lives are on their blood-stained hands. The rest of the world took these meds all along. But those countries don't have the CIA & wicked Dems meddling in their medicine. RFK knows exactly who Fauci is & wrote a book about him (it's not flattering). I am certain that even though "Biden" granted him a likely unconstitutional pardon, he will be exposed for everything he did. Collins too. They're clearing out the HHS and new heads are in place at CDC & FDA and all of the lies are over. Expect blue heads screaming & media howling bc most of them don't know ANY of this (my sister among them to my great dismay) bc the MSM is controlled by the CIA. It's nothing but a propaganda arm of the DNC and is as trustworthy as HRC & Obama & Soros are. Be watchful & take the wins as they come.

I read the book by RFK, Jr, "The Real Anthony Fauci" which was about far more evil (throughout "our" "health care" industrial complex built to keep us sick) than only the human cockroach himself. I pushed it to the maximum extent, even buying copies of it for others, people I knew and people I didn't know. The fact that it is completely true is indisputable. How can I say that? Because not one of the rodents have sued him. We desperately need accountability, the new leaders in our "health" agencies better damned well have it as job one. And so too, had the FBI and DOJ, have it at the top of their to-do lists.

They gave every Covid patient a Z-pak with a refill, and put them on steroids too if cough/pneumonia. Also all of the immunity boosters along with D & C & sunshine & zinc. This while the CDC was saying "come to the ER once you can't breathe." Literally millions of Americans would be alive if they prescribed ivermectin, hydroxy, Z-pak & steroids up front. Being mindful of stress; not getting so upset about the idiocy of this world that I can’t do anything about. But doing what I can. Doing more fun things.

And I do think adding the ‘Food Grade’ calcium bentonite Clay, the spirulina and the organic sulfur to my daily diet has contributed significantly.

I believe there’s a difference between simple indigestion that can happen occasionally to anyone and a deep rooted acid reflux issue.

I really believe my esophageal area was perpetually inflamed (I went through a lot of trauma in ‘a too short period of time’ a few decades ago) and is now healed.

I can still get a touch of heartburn if I have too much fun (taco extravaganza!). But some Wonder Belly antacids or (crazily) sucking on a Riccola will set me straight now.

This will do a lot to control inflammation, which should help ease breathing. The most valuable mindset shift you can make is to stop believing that things like diabetes and hypertension are inevitable or irreversible. Finally, read and apply the wisdom of Dr. William Davis, a cardiologist who knows how the sausage is made. I’d start with his book “Undoctored.”

Is this directed towards me? I never mentioned diabetes or blood sugar at all. The breathing issues were because of the *forced masking* all day long at school. I ended up pulling him out of school and homeschooling. We’re all in good health and have no issues with breathing or blood sugar. And I need carbs as fuel because I run long distances on a regular basis. My son plays soccer and is a growing teenager so I’m not going to restrict his carb intake as there is zero indication to do so. Hopefully your comment will be useful for other people with these issues though.

As a Wisconsinite I can tell you are elections have been a sham for at least 10 years. Tony Evers 'won' both his elections to Governor after 4am ballot drops in Milwaukee County. Tony is a joke.

As Jeff said, it makes no sense that the voters overwhelmingly passed a Constitutional referendum requiring voter ID yet also overwhelmingly voted Crawford in. When I voted yesterday turnout was very high, unusually so for a Spring election, over 50%!

We do have droves of people moving here from Illinois and Minnesota bringing their politics with them. The problem here is urban centers/counties with Universities. If you look at a map of blue counties, they are always the ones with U campuses yet I am surrounded by red counties.

Getting Crawford in was a way for Evers and his lackeys to bypass the State Legislature which is R. Evers and the Legislature have been at an impasse for almost a decade, each blocking what the other is trying to do. Now with Crawford not only can they revise (Gerrymander to their advantage) the Congressional boundaries, they will rubber stamp Evers ridiculous agendas. They 'corrected' the 'gerrymandered' Assembly and State Senator boundaries last year and STILL couldn't regain control of the Assembly so this (Crawford) win may finally allow them to bypass the will of the people by making sure that all rural RED areas are so diluted with urban voters that they can overturn the R majority in the State house and our Congressional seats as well.

Yes, it is beautiful here but our politics are very Californiesque and getting worse by the year (as are taxes and school referendums!).

We had tremendous historic turnout yesterday, turnout wasn't really the issue if the playing field were fair. This election was in the bag for Crawford, just like it has been for Evers the past two Gubernatorial elections.

Many locales literally ran out of ballots yesterday and when that happens it generally disenfranchises R voters. So you are correct, somewhere hidden in the system is fraud.

They think they're entitled to live high on the hog on our tax dollars and let awful things happen to us...overwhelmed by the illegal invasion, the crime out of control and not prosecuted, all manufacturing in this country lost because they sold us out to foreign interests and rolled over on tariffs for years, the abuses and atrocities committed against us from pharma and Big Ag, Americans completely hung out to dry in every "natural" disaster in recent years. I could go on. It's frustrating because they get to live these extremely comfortable lifestyles (way above their means) which Elon is rapidly pointing out just all of the ways they've stolen from us to make that happen. And all the while they're like "ho hum, we can't be bothered to vote to protect you little peons". I don't understand why more Americans aren't awake enough to be absolutely furious with them.

That was the nonpartisan committeee for redistricting in Michigan, a constitutional amendment on the ballot in 2018, (off year election). It passed. It created a supposedly balanced redistricting commission, instead of allowing the party in control to do the redistricting after the census came in. It was a farce, the commission appointed by the Governor indirectly. It made many of Michigan’s rural districts blue by adding them into a larger city. If they count illegals in the census, Michigan’s numbers still look high even though we lose population hand over fist.

I can tell you that the Crawford win in Wisconsin will likely cause the re-determination (Gerrymandering) of Congressional boundaries. WI only has only two D Congressional Reps and the rest are R and for team blue this is inexcusable.

So now with a Left Supreme Court majority they very likely will change who is elected to Congress as most of WI counties are R outside of those with U of W campuses.

This whole 'gerrymandered' boundary issue is madness. We should just determine districts based on city/county borders period and quit the gerrymandering on both sides.

Concern is that the WI districts will be gerrymandered to make sure only D candidates will be elected. See IL. The Ds have a super majority in our state house and senate. 14 of 17 of our US reps are D as are both US senators.

Consequently, our state is bleeding people and jobs. The fed gravy train has subsidized this state and when the money dries up there will be pain.

Here's a video link to Tucker Carlson and a billionaire entrepreneur in the medical research field. Several things stick out. Maybe not conspicuously to most people, but at least ... to me. First, both Tucker and the billionaire speak but only up to a certain point. And secondly, both Carlson and the billionaire appear to know way far more than they dare say. A third thing conspicuously stands out. The billionaire buys the L.A. Times sight unseen 'as is' with zero 'due diligence'. Who does this? Almost nobody! But maybe Elon Musk does something similar, just jumps in. Given the location, I now believe that the now controlling power intends to knock Marxist Woke out of places like California. That is, they intend to take back the entire country more or less, in one shape or form ... or another. Time will tell. But don't be surprised. The next four years is going to be a high power locomotive coming down the tracks ... and they are just getting started.

I have reason to believe now that places like California and New York are on the docket and slated for a counter-revolutionary roll back. I believe that the EU and Canada are going to be 'reversed engineered'. This may take some time, but it has to be done. The Trump family would be left in utter ruins if 'Woke' were ever allowed to rise again. Trump knows this. Mr. Musk knows this. Bannon knows this and has stated the situation clearly and out loud. And they all mean to win and survive.

I pray this is true. As I’ve said before in my comments Californians are fed up, waking up and fighting back. It’s been an uphill battle but it is inspiring. Marxist Infiltration is in every state and county. Patriots in every state red or blue need to stay vigilant and engaged in their local politics, including their county GOP central committee. Attend the monthly meetings. Be a committee member or alternate. It’s not a lot of work. 🇺🇸

They left a LOT unsaid but the fact that they were asking these formerly verboten questions - even without fully answering them - says volumes. As my friend implied, it's what they did not say that is more interesting than what they did say. The stage is being set.

He says that COVID caused it. And he made his billions killing people with highly overpriced and doctor $$$ incentivized chemo drugs. And now he wants us all to use his new injection “bio shield” to prevent cancer. Seems pretty sketch to me. It’s a hard pass.

The guy did not say one word to implicate the Covid genetic injections. He is definitely trying to sell a new technology. Whether or not it will be helpful remains to be seen.

What I did appreciate in his interview was the fact that innovation in medical research has been completely stifled for decades upon decades by the current funding and approval system. He has only been able to innovate because he is independently wealthy, a luxury most don't have. This rang true to me.

Because that part was true. It’s what Jeff likes to call a limited hang out. Tell little bits of the truth especially truth they’ve been lying about for decades and look like the good guy. Nah bro. I’ll pass.

Politico Phil… watched twice, then read George Webb investigative journalist who deep dived the Hillary camp Seth Rich murder… does a deep dive investigation into Dr Soon-Shiong and his ties to the CIA and John Brennan 🤭😬🧐 https://georgewebb.substack.com/p/cia-sponsor-dr-soon-shiong-tries?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=674856&post_id=160276755&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=697d8&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

I am from middle America and previously wouldn't know an "elite" if I tripped over him. My friend however grew up among them and has much more insight, so when he says "I believe", I sit up and take notice. His guesses have always been much more accurate than mine.

We are witnesses to a war among the oligarchs (for lack of a better word) that is unprecedented and can only be compared to the secessionist movement of 1776 when the colonial elites went to the mats against the British Crown. BTW, that was not a "revolution" such as the lawless French revolution and that is something that has been misrepresented in American history that people no longer understand and is a misnomer of the Colonial conflict.

One of the problems we have is imputing to Trump and the oligarchs backing him our own motives for fighting the leftist, woke elites. We are benefactors of this conflict by way of coincidence. Our motives are not necessarily their motivations even though we may align in certain aspects. It is an alignment of coincidence, not of identity. When we don't understand this, we misinterpret events and agendas.

For the most part, we are bystanders watching history unfold before us. And this conflict is not just about America. What we are seeing is a restructuring of the entire geo-political world order. As my friend indicated, this is all going to take some time. Probably at least the rest of this decade and into 2032. I feel like a ticket holder on "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" at the Disneyland park.

Where is the Epstein file?

After how they tried to spank the administration and accuse them of improperly rushing the release of the JFK files, which exposed over 40 SSNs and addresses of people still alive, I think the more current Epstein files are going to get a very thorough look-over and redactions of that kind of information before they are finally released. I think because so much of the JFK is so old, there was less chance of doxxing and so they were able to move faster. Otherwise it may have taken several months if not at least a year to properly go through all the documents. They ARE taking care of the people whose info was exposed though. So I think they are being very careful with the Epstein files because there are hundreds if not thousands of innocent individuals still alive, and that takes tedious and copious amounts of time.

Jeff, can you do a special write up on April 19? That will be the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Project Appleseed at Appleseedinfo.org does a great job of telling the story.

I work in a facility rn here in FL where all age women (even in their 80s). Come in to have total or partial hysterectomies due to cervical cancer and the majority of them are vaxxed w up to even 7 shots... the Oncology part of the operation is still making money off the covid nightmare.

Being notified by security that you are fired when you show up for work is standard practice in private sectors. Several times I’ve seen this in my career. Mostly it happens right before Christmas. Welcome to the real world government “servants”.

I recently lost my position at work. They notified the pharmacy and not me directly. I walked in and found out. Just lovely.

I have a new low-paying job, but at least it's a whole lot less stressful. The money will no doubt fall into place over time. Right now I'm taking a break to recover from years of stress. My body is working on healing itself.

On a somewhat positive yet unrelated note, I just hit the 50 pound mark today - I've officially lost 50 pounds. Some is from drastic calorie reduction, some from chronic stress and an inability to digest food as result, and some is from cutting out all crap from my diet. The latter is a good thing. :) My body will heal itself in time.
