ERRATA/UPDATE:

— Updated post to link Berenson's Substack about the NYT stealing his story.

Sharon Beautiful Evening's avatar

YES...glad you got "called" on that oversight about the NYT expose--they don't have any "dusty, old TRUE journalists in sub-basement server closets" anymore--they're all buried under stacks of pizza boxes in the DEEP STATE basement, J.C.!

No apologies needed for what you called Macron - he is a WEF 'darling' no matter what his physical features may be - his mental and spiritual ones are TOTAL DESPOTIC!!!

Merci beau coup, J.C. for ALWAYS dishing up the best "news supreme" on an almost DAILY basis--you are indeed superb!!! Bon appetit fellow C & C "army" buds!!

SHALOM!!

Dorothy Unleashed's avatar

So a “conspiracy theorist” actually did break it! Lol

Positively Paying It Forward's avatar

Part of the 'dangerous dozen'.

Imagine if we didn't have them.

HJ's avatar

FYI: I saw this on July 3rd. I don't see it mentioned anywhere else, but it does detail the specific visible symptoms Biden is displaying and predates both articles:

"Mr. Biden has Parkinsonism, an umbrella term that refers to neurologic conditions that cause slowed movements, rigidity, and tremors. By observation, he has a masked face, reduced blinking, stiff and slow gait, hunched posture, low volume voice, imbalance, freezing, mild cognitive disturbance, and difficulty turning. I have seen one video of tremor. All these diagnose Parkinsonism. He would need further investigation by experts to determine which specific disease within the broad term he has, such as idiopathic Parkinson’s disease or another specific disease."

https://www.thefp.com/p/misinformation-the-gap-the-bear-gavin-newsom

Sunnydaze's avatar

He also has more than “mild cognitive disturbance” just for clarity. He doesn’t know where he is most times and can’t carry on a sentence. At best he has Alzheimer/dementia AND Parkinsonism.

Sharon Garvin's avatar

Alex Berenson posted it. It is from a letter a physician reader of his sent to him.

HJ's avatar

Yes. That's actually a different letter from a different Neurologist responding to the revelation about the Whitehouse log. Quite worth the read though:

https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/from-a-physician-parkinsons-disease

The one I posted is a response to questions asked after the debate. What they have in common is that that both doctors came out of the diagnostic closet only after the signals were sent that the debate disaster had pulled the curtain back too much to avoid this discussion.

Also: both doctors insisted on remaining anonymous.

There is a serious lack of courage in the medical profession. No surprise after the whole COVID caper.

Julie Ann B's avatar

The entire healthcare system, especially physicians and nurses, but also pharmacists and RT’s need to “above all else, do no harm”! Patients expect and deserve ethical, well informed, critical thinking professionals guiding their healthcare!

SteelJ's avatar

Well, if they expect it, they're pretty stupid. As far as deserving it, the way everybody fell in line for the COVID idiocy, I beg to differ. SOME deserve ethical, well informed, critical thinking professionals. Most don't.

Sharon Beautiful Evening's avatar

The board-certified neurologist (specializing in motor skills affected by Parkinsons and related conditions) who was being interviewed by an MSM reporter yesterday was VERY upset by what the DEMONratic party is doing about Joe's "ability" to be POTUS - and he stated several times, "I'm a Democrat"...so there you have it! IT'S ALL 'SMOKE AND MIRRORS' folks when it comes to "governance" on a Federal level!

This neurologist stated that both BIDEN and TRUMP should take a 4 hour 'cognition evaluation' before either of them are elected to the office of POTUS!! Sounded like a GRAND PLAN (which will NEVER happen, of course).

SteelJ's avatar

I don't care if it happens. Only a fool would expect an accurate, unbiased report. The POTUS, the most powerful person on planet earth, think he might be able to game some test results?

AngelaK's avatar

There are too many symptoms which cannot be ignored..infact, all of the above, however, tbh, I have not seen tremors.

Jack Bergeron's avatar

My mother-in-law had Parkinson’s. She did not have tremors; she had rigidity. She also had paranoia which can be another indirect outcome of Parkinson’s.

AngelaK's avatar

Biden could have 2 neurological issues going on. 🤷

This is a HUGE COVERUP.

Michael Framson's avatar

1)He has Parkinsons; 2) he is a Democrat. When the two neurological conditions are together its PDD.

Julie Ann B's avatar

A cover up where only a complete idiot can’t see the cognitive, physical and emotional problems this puppet is having!

schneile's avatar

You can clearly see tremors on the videos housed on this site. I tried to share it on KommieBook, and they IMMEDIATELY yanked it, accusing me of "spam." Wut?

Just search hashtag #joebidenissick

Sounds like Parkinson's is the least harmful explanation the WH wants to use as a fig leaf explanation that somehow excuses what "looks " like major cognitive impairment.

A New DAY is DAWNING's avatar

I read somewhere? That Biden is on CRESTOR..... that is a bitch of a toxin,,, I mean drug..... avoid it like the plague...

Men's Media Network's avatar

The symptoms of Parkinsons and the symptoms of Parkinsons medication (l-dopa) abuse/dependence can be easily confused. I'd not be surprised if FJB was juicing l-dopa to keep up, and it finally caught up with him.

SteelJ's avatar

As a 60s/70/s survivor, I can attest to your point. Drugs can work beautifully for a while. Then, they don't. The opposite, in fact. There's a saying about "no free lunch". You can't just keep getting the good effects, it doesn't ever work that way.

Kenpowoman's avatar

A Dr. Ted Noel, M.D., also posted his own diagnosis of the Resident's Parkinsonism on The American Thinker on July 6. "PD is a waxing and waning disease. Today can be awful, and tomorrow better. Treatment can make the awful somewhat better but doesn’t change the disease. It just changes how it looks. And it doesn’t change the fact that there is, at present, no treatment that will reverse the disease. Joe’s over the hill and gaining speed.

Unfortunately, that means that the US doesn’t have a president. You heard that right. Even though Joe occupies the presidential residence, he lacks the mental capacity to be president. His Lewy Body Dementia variant of PD gives him visual hallucinations. We saw them demonstrated when he walked away from the assembled heads of state toward an unknown and invisible person at the G7 meeting."

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2024/07/the_diagnosis_is_in_and_joe_s_not_going_to_get_well.html

Sherry's avatar

I read somewhere yesterday that he had a hallucination in the helicopter headed back to the WH. He was medicated with something and when landing he looked ok. That was the unverified medical incident report that circulated.

RunningLogic's avatar

Well that’s reassuring 😳

Peace's avatar

So is Lewy Body Dementia a variant of Parkinsons? Or somehow or another the two are related (dementia and Parkinsons)?

Cathy Marlow's avatar

Sherry it’s not the same but closely related. They share many of the same symptoms. Parkinsonism is an umbrella for all these types of illnesses. One physician said he definitely has Parkinsonism, but declined to determine based on observation alone, which disease he thought it was.

annademo's avatar

Excellent about the update, Jeff. I am sure many of us who read today's C&C thought, "Yeah, NYT, you are breathlessly reporting something on Monday that Alex Berenson reported on the previous Saturday and you didn't bother to give him any credit."

Valerie's avatar

Noticed a little fact checking in the comments? 😂

Swanlzs's avatar

Thank you. Berenson is a good investigative reporter

Valerie's avatar

Alex Berenson released the information about the Parkinson’s doctor going to the White House on Substack, it wasn’t any reporter at the NYT. They just failed to credit Berenson as their source.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

It's an affront to all of us.

The only thing worse than a lie, is a half truth...therin The Truth is lost...because half truths settle, like distorted spectacles, on the public that can no longer distinguish between the truth and a lie.

Half-truths are the easiest way to eliminate history.

Charlotte's avatar

To be fair, while Berenson definitely beat the NYT in the article about the Parkinson’s, there is chatter amongst conservative reporters that actually the NY Post broke the story first, or at least, simultaneously to Berenson. They both had stories out within one hour of each other, I think NY Post was first.

Hebrews 12:29's avatar

NY Post reported one visit. Alex Berenson uncovered the other ones. NYT definitely stole the story from Alex Berenson. Mr. Childers--please attribute to Alex Berenson!

YYR's avatar

LOL. NYT can't keep its eyes off Betenson's paper!

Ryan Gardner's avatar

yeah, could be. doesn't change the fact that the NYT's stole it.

Irunthis1's avatar

I believe even Alex admitted that the post story made him go actually LOOK at yhe visitors logs and there he found low hanging fruit. 🍒

Ryan Gardner's avatar

He did. That's rights!

Good catch

Charlotte's avatar

Oh, I agree! NYT has zero ethics. Guttersnipes.

Peter GL's avatar

so what? All lefties steal and plagiarize. Even Brandon has been known to do it with impunity

Ryan Gardner's avatar

That covers it in a nutshell...zero accountability in the press or any of our institutions.

The greatest trick ever played has been to change the meaning of transparency into traitor. The American public loves the government so much now The Truth would be one part shocking and one part unsettling ....so much so; it would be ignored.

Love of government is conditioning for love of gulags.

Peter GL's avatar

Yet they LOOOVE to fact-check Republicans

That is true, but he later posted that the NYTs stole his story. The best way to resolve the seeming contradiction is to read Alex’s explanation.

This is intensional

Stay mentally strong people.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Nailed it. The lie of omission is why there are libretarded and republicants

Tommy's avatar

^^ This.

The NYT "reported" on it, but they left out the part about Megan Nasworthy, whom the doctor met with most of the times, being point person for the President's care (according to Alex's reporting).

That helped, for example, fuel the comments section in the NYT to run wild with opinions this was unrelated to the president and instead about some trivial funding bill for Parkinson's research.

Peter GL's avatar

problem is, the legacy media are full of outright lies and half truths

Bard Joseph's avatar

Like the recent Lancet report of 186,000 Gaza civilians slaughtered.

Parkinsons kills.

liz's avatar

the Lancet is a good source. Only Genocide apologists would make such a remark.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

just like that if i'm interpreting you correctly

Bard Joseph's avatar

He is the leader of the free world. Not pretty

TheDevilWearsBalenciaga's avatar

Yes! Thank you for posting this. I read Berenson's substack scoop and then was amused to see it in the Times. NYT couldn't investigate their way out of a paper bag these days. Although I do wonder if they were all tipped off by someone to go looking at the logs to begin with...

The Great Resist's avatar

Berenson credited the NY Post for first noting that that doctor had been to the White House, which was what prompted him to dig into the visitor logs for himself and discover how many times the doc had been there.

Renee Morris's avatar

Thank you, Valerie for pointing this out! I was coming here to do the same. 😊🙌🏻

Valerie's avatar

Berenson deserves the credit! Plus, we all know there are zero investigative reporters at the NYT.

IsItJustMe's avatar

Do you have the correct link to Berenson's J6 post? The one you listed was the Parkinson's link

SuezCanal's avatar

The discussion IS the Parkinson's link, not a J6 link. To what are you referring?

CStone's avatar

Now, now. Jeff said they found the investigative reporter In the basement……the last investigative reporter was in the basement…….

Don’t make me come up there!!!!!!

chuck kutchera's avatar

Actually there are investigative reporters at the NYT, the investigate who beat them to the story then claim it as their own.

AM's avatar

Same here. AB deserves a ton of credit for this.

Lisa's avatar

The Times at first tried to make their reporters sound very busy and important by saying they “requested” the log. Berenson had already reported the info. He followed up by pointing out the log was available to anyone online.

AngelaK's avatar

But this lying explanation put out by Biden's doctor today. (As if anyone trusts the integrity of doctors today! )

https://www.aol.com/white-house-doctor-offers-explanation-022500575.html

Donna Oliphint's avatar

The neurological issues he’s treating other staff members for are probably side effects of the jab.

The Great Resist's avatar

Or PTSD from Oval Office diaper duty.

AngelaK's avatar

It doesn't even make sense if you read it.

Garden Lover's avatar

Sadly, there are very few doctors that seem to have integrity now.

LamedVav disavows all vaxes.'s avatar

The hospitals do not allow any doctor with integrity to have privileges at their hospital.

Lisa Ca's avatar

I believe this. I know a doctor who lost priviledges. :( ugh

Fre'd Bennett, MAHA's avatar

I assume that anyone with MD after their name is the equivalent of Josef Menegele, until they can prove they didn't fall in line with the Deathvax.

LamedVav disavows all vaxes.'s avatar

Exactly, Fred! Avoid them if you want to keep your health. You are their profit center. There are actually engineers inside the hospital and their job is to make sure that the patient is used to generate money for the drug companies, the medical device companies, the medical supply companies, and the entire medical industry.

Truth 101's avatar

I skimmed the article and it looks like they are conflating the neurologist visits to the whitehouse with the neurologist visits to the off-site clinic used by non-residents of the whitehouse. Dan Bongino wa talking about this today on his show.

AngelaK's avatar

Interesting..but typical.

Peter GL's avatar

so according to O'Connor's summary, Brandon "fit for duty and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations." I guess he forgot to add "so long as there aren't any stairs to climb or cables to walk over".

Truth 101's avatar

Here is the reply by Ronny Johnson who ought to know a thing or two about how medical care works at the whitehouse. https://x.com/RonnyJacksonTX/status/1810502426257957240

Reasonable Horses's avatar

Good for Alex. Call out liars every time they lie, and their names will be permanently associated with “LIAR!” Alinsky says as much. Fire, meet Fire.

Peter GL's avatar

you mean like Brandon during his Snuffleupagus interview where he counted Trump's "lies"?

Reasonable Horses's avatar

Exactly. I'm no fan of name-calling, but we need a more effective response.

Carrie's avatar

I was just going to say the same. NYT reporter committed journalistic malpractice by basically plagiarizing Alex’s work.

Lisa Ca's avatar

This is true. damn shame. look what happened to Harvards president over plagiarism.

Elizabeth's avatar

Yes, Alex alone in the wilderness unfortunately. He deserves accolades for breaking this story and the NyT deserves ridicule for stealing it.

Art's avatar

NYT just can’t throw away another opportunity to see if they can reduce their credibility and the public’s trust even further. And the other oligarch media will compete in their race to the bottom in a sort of a Special Olympics for people the people formerly known as journalists by not noticing plagiarism.

Peter GL's avatar

I recall in the 1970's reading "anyone who is anybody between Boston and DC reads The NY Times". I doubt that holds true now

nancylee's avatar

well . . . anyone who thinks they are anybody still do

AngelaK's avatar

But this just in from Biden's lying doctor! Lol, as if anyone trusts the integrity of doctors these days!

Fre'd Bennett, MAHA's avatar

They're right down there with pedophile priests in my estimation.

Jay Horton's avatar

Thanks. That was a good read.

"Unfortunately, that means that the US doesn’t have a president. You heard that right. Even though Joe occupies the presidential residence, he lacks the mental capacity to be president."

Best,

Later Jay

nancylee's avatar

we've probably never had a president in the sense I think you mean, an authority figure who has the best interests of the US public in mind and acts accordingly

Peter GL's avatar

what we have may not be a president but we sure have a committee of family, one being a Dr (yeah right), and one a junkie, as well as the whole DEI cast of characters surrounding FJB. What more can we ask for? "If I only had a brain"?

Jay Horton's avatar

Still frightened at the prospect of invoking the 25th Amendment and the goof from California taking the seat -even for a test drive. Likely, she would be on a short leash and well managed but the ship has been being steered by shadows for about 3.5 years now; Paradise Lost.

Later Jay

Peter GL's avatar

The goof from California can do enough harm in four months. Not only that, but with the MSM lauding her as black not Indian, the DEI junkies can keep in place for eight years. God help us

Julie Young's avatar

Fascinating article, William, about the nuances of Parkinson’s!

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Valerie's avatar

Jeff does an amazing job with the volume he produces, we can give him a pass on this one.

HoneyPot4Freedom's avatar

100%!! Jeff is the best!

I did appreciate his humor on it all, the possibility of pulling an old relic out of the basement to actually do the action of looking at the logs as their current batch only know how to be yes-men and repeat their overlord's narratives. LOL!

Peter GL's avatar

ditto, or should I say mega-dittos?

Queen Hotchibobo's avatar

I read someone on Twitter complaining that they broke the story and Berenson stole it from them.

The only actual investigations going on these days are curious individuals who aren’t on anyone’s payroll.

Satan's Doorknob's avatar

Berenson once worked for the Grey Lady. So by the logic of Illegitimi Non Carborundum, he's a NYT reporter.

Justaskin''s avatar

Yes, and Alex is quite miffed about them stealing his story.

Unfortunately, Alex seems only to be smart about Covid and those types of issues because he supports the US involvement in Ukraine and doesn't think the 2020 election was stolen.

Queen Hotchibobo's avatar

Even with Covid, he still refuses to even consider that they were lying about ivermectin.

Johnny-O's avatar

I find it humorous Berenson still seems dismayed that the NYT would do such a thing. If he wasn't such an arrogant douche I'd feel sorry for him....

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Yeah he’s still pissed at the times, and would still be lying by omission if he could.

schneile's avatar

Yep, you beat me to it as well. I’m leaving my comment anyway. Everyone needs to know this!

Verve's avatar

Not to discount Alex, but I thought a reporter from the NY Post is the one who did the leg work with the visitor logs. Either way it's obvious he's got some type of really bad neurological condition.

Cynthia's avatar

A long-time friend of mine who's been a trauma nurse for 30+ years told me recently that just from observation it's clear that Biden has Parkinson's as well as dementia.

RunningLogic's avatar

Alex credited the Post for first noticing the doctor’s name but he did the additional investigating from what I understand.

Gary Crawford's avatar

The writing of Jeff Childers is incredible - given his time constraints makes it close to miraculous in my book. Just sayin.

Pat Wetzel's avatar

And today's post was one of his best. Although the "best" category is fairly voluminous.

Vida Galore's avatar

Agree, he's amazing.

Dr Linda's avatar

I couldn’t agree more

Principled Pragmatist's avatar

I think it’s safe to say he has a lot of help. It’s an amazing daily post. No way a full time successful lawyer with an active practice, a father and husband, could produce something of this range and quality each day on his own.

Cynthia, I feel the same. The EU, with the exception of a few people like Orban, is being run (same as the US and Canada) like a criminal syndicate (which also continually wars against its own people). The plain fact is that the Collective West is now a hell hole horror show which is way past tolerating.

We certainly don't need limp wristed enablers who continually back down and fall over. And so, I'm with with. The time 'of compromise' is done, over, kaput.

Benjamin Two N's's avatar

Orban should leave the eu and nato. Why can’t he?

daverkb's avatar

Dear Two Noodles!

Hum! Why can't Orban leave the EU? By Jove! I think I've got it! Orban cannot leave the EU because he is a Putin Puppet. And as a Putin Puppet Orban is more valuable to Putin on the INSIDE of the EU than on the OUTSIDE! And so Orban cannot leave unless Putin says so. And The Putin ain't saying!

Benjamin Two N's's avatar

Hungary benefits a lot by being in the EU, far more than the CSTO or CIS.

Dear Noodles x 2,

Actually a rather coherent comment from you for once ... and quite unexpected. But then again, never underestimate the power of a Noodle to fire off some well-directed electrical potential now and then ... even if by mere happenstance.

For myself, I would not be too badly in disappointment if NATO and the EU evaporated overnight. Ditto for the band of brigands also known as the American Empire.

Who the H cares about what kind of or which doctor visited the White House? It's all a stupid distraction. We KNOW the old pervert has DEMENTIA and have known it for 4 or 5 years. The gaslighting is endless.

Valerie's avatar

The article isn’t for people like us, who follow alternative media and are aware of Biden’s mental state. It’s for people that follow legacy media, so they can be shocked and surprised once again.

Susan Catherine's avatar

This is exactly what I think. It’s a distraction and a way for Biden to exit with forgiveness and grace instead of as a bumbling idiot. This diagnosis would save his reputation and all future stories about his reign as president.

Donna Mott's avatar

I agree. The doctor who visited 8 times is a Neurologist which can treat Biden for dementia! The doctor wrote a paper on Parkinson’s doesn’t mean he’s treating him for Parkinson’s. This is a play by the Democrat’s.

Susan Catherine's avatar

Yes! That doctor was either treating him for dementia or offering tips on how to walk better. I don't believe Joe has Parkinson's.

AngelaK's avatar

There is something neurological going on, however, there are many things it could be, and needs much testing.

alongername's avatar

Everything is a play . Inside a play . Inside a play .

the question is : how many playbooks are playing ?

dorothy P slater's avatar

I agree and I have to laugh at those who think that Jean Pierre could not - or would not= answer the questions shouted at her by some guy named Ed. Personally, I think she performed admirably and yes, calm down, was an appropriate remark. Remember, the WH correspondents have for years run back to their papers with whatever handouts the press secretary offered them without doing any digging at all. WH correspondents are NOT journalists in my opinion. You will find them, not investigating anything, the most they do to get out of the office is to go to the WH correspondents dinner where you will NOT find Alex Berenson or Glenn Greenwald. And to criticize Jean Pierre as a liar is a joke considering that she is paid to tell whatever lies the WH tells her just as the yellers i n the audience are paid to report whatever the editors of the NYT or the WAP want them them to tell. It is a bit late to be interested what doctors are vising the WH. I expect there were many visits to the WHy during JFKs administration as well knowing now what noone bothered to ask then. Plus, what possible difference does it make whether Biden has Parkinsons or not? These cracker jack reporters have missed the story for 4 years.

Doug's avatar

The WH Press office and correspondents is all theater. Nothing of any substance arises from these meetings.

PEL's avatar

It does seem a total waste of everyone’s time. And she is paid a lot. For what exactly?

Fla Mom's avatar

I'm hopeful that, if some Dems can realize the extent to which they've been lied to about this, they will wonder if there's anyone on their side who will ever tell them the truth about anything, if the prize won for lying is power. (True for many Republicans, too; too many.)

Actually, the NYT did NOT “check the White House visitors log.” Rather, they STOLE their “scoop” from fellow Substack author Alex Berenson, who coincidentally is a former NYT journalist himself. They can’t stand Alex over there, and broke all sorts of journalism ethics rules by completely failing to credit him for the story. Alex scooped them all by first publishing this on SATURDAY, July 6. See for yourself:

https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/very-urgent-a-parkinsons-disease

Alex is understandably furious, and he has asked his audience to help spread the word and discredit the NYT. I’m happy to help!

OFF TOPIC - I noticed over the last several days reports all over the MSM about the heat. In at least two MSM broadcasts the 128ºF temperature in Death Valley over the weekend was referred to as a "record". This is absolutely not true. The record is 134ºF and it was set on July 10, 1913.

I wonder if the MSM is using every possible pathetic means to push the global warming issue.

CeeMcG's avatar

Always, every day now. I ask Alexa for the weather and there’s always the “extreme heat advisory” bullshit when the temperature gets above 80. It’s SUMMER!

Michael Miller's avatar

That’s what you get for asking “Alexa”. Get rid of that spy device.!

Freebird's avatar

Exactly! I’m so paranoid I even turned off Siri (for all the good that might do). Although I will say that I get fewer ads about items we’ve discussed over the kitchen table than my husband does. 😂

Doug's avatar

I was told if you say "Siri, I see a little silhouetto of a man..." that something funny happens. I want to try it at my dad's. It doesn't work at my house. I don't have Siri or Alexa.

My hubby is a weather buff and has a weather station mounted on the top of our house (in Maryland). He collects data daily and has been recording this data for many years. I looked at the data for July for random years going back to 2010. This is what I found:

2010 - 15 days 90+ degrees/avg high 100

2015 - 3 days 90+ degrees/avg high 92

2018 - 6 days 90+ degrees/avg high 96

2020 - 14 days 90+ degrees/avg high 98

2022 - 6 days 90+ degrees/avg high 93

I'm not saying that climate doesn't change. It most certainly does but it is easy to debunk the climate crisis using actual data if someone were to research it instead of just taking the word of the MSM. There are some powerful people who want to use the climate crisis to control us and make tons of money.

RunningLogic's avatar

Plus the hysteria of “hottest ever recorded” is so ridiculous when you think how long people have really been assiduously paying attention to these things with high quality instruments and recording the readings.

CH's avatar

"The sky is falling" really ticks me off. My neighbors elderly father lives with her and that poor man never leaves the house. He is petrified because all he does is watch the MSM all day.

RunningLogic's avatar

That’s so sad 😞 I agree, the hysteria and hyperbole coming from the media ticks me off too! It’s so manipulative! 😡

SB's avatar

Interesting you comment on that because a well known meteorologist who used to work at one of the main local TV stations but left suddenly under mysterious circumstances a few years ago reported that they are lying about high temperatures. Where I live the "official" temperature is the one at the airport but he said that temperature was running higher than all the other local temperature readings one day last week. They reported the official high as 104 but he said not a single other reading in the area got above 98 that day. He basically accused them of falsely pushing the climate agenda but by doing it in that manner will prevent people from taking it seriously. He called them out for cherry picking data that fits a narrative. He isn't a climate denier by any means but he knows people are questioning science a lot these days.

Anita from Tucson - Now In MI's avatar

Yes, it matters where the sensors are located. Having lived in Tucson for many years (before moving to the Great Lakes region recently), I learned about the effect that being an "asphalt island" has on a big city in the desert's temperatures. Place the same sensors in the desert areas and they might register a truer reading of what nature is doing.

SB's avatar

That’s interesting, too because Raleigh recently announced plans to hire someone to ID solutions for heat sink urban areas like you mention. I know when my car is on a freeway vs in my yard, the temperature repots much higher on the freeway. And it’s common sense to know it’s cooler in the shade…

Doug's avatar

If your sensor is 3" above a black asphalt surface your temperature reading will be much higher than if it's 6 feet off the ground in a sandy area.

I always wonder at people who wear black on hot sunny days - it's like they're TRYING to suffer. They seem to have little understanding of the properties thermal radiation.

I wear bright neon tank tops in the dog days of summer.

Paige Green's avatar

Verified fact. I can drive 10 miles through the countryside on a paved highway and as soon as I turn onto my dirt road, the temperature will drop 2-3 degrees.

Coming home from a job in the local largest city, the temperature will drop 10 degrees after I get out onto the expressway.

Pastor Mike's avatar

I'm pretty sure if they tried they could find more "means".

But lets not forget the covers of Newsweek and Time Mag cover stories in the 70's predicting a coming Ice Age. Yeah, they now deny the meaning of the stories and claim they were "miss-understood", but what do we expect them to say?

Margaret Allison's avatar

That’s good Pastor Mike! It’s summer, folks. It’s always hot mostly. Let’s go back to real temperatures and forget heat indices! Stay hydrated and get some Vitamin D in the sun. Hello!!! Nobody wants to go back to window fans! 🤔

Doug's avatar

If there's one thing they've been about climate, it's consistently wrong. Let's not forget the tinkering they had to do with their data to get the "hockey stick" graph a decade or so back...

Susan Seas's avatar

💯 % someone posted that they were saying it was a 93° temperature (in the parking lot in the center of the town) where if you went out a couple blocks it was 85. Fear mongering

Doug's avatar

It also generates money for "climate industrial complex" and the governmental agencies that support them. It's all about transferring wealth from our accounts to theirs.

Sooner or later, we'll own nothing -- but we won't be happy about it...

KBH Geronimo's avatar

Yesterday, it was "officially" 118 at the Phoenix airport weather station (in the shade). Our new, 2024 truck said it was 126 about 25-30 miles east of the airport in a shopping center parking lot! I've never seen it that hot before! It has been unusually hot in this area this week.

On all the climate hange and temp stuff just had to share that Good OL Cali has now declared artificial turf to be hazardous and outlawed. Meanwhile about 2 min ago it was the safest and best alternative to grass because we were wasting water. “climate change”.

Yes now you will see that it releases chemicals into the air which are not safe for humans etc. 🙄

As my fam said, someone got their pockets lined so now we are done with that line.

Peace's avatar

So, is Good Ol Cali going back to natural grass instead of the artificial turf? Seems like they're stuck between the chemicals or wasting water. What to do, what to do?

Lisa Ca's avatar

Its being outlawed in 2025 and yes , back to lawn. But as many have seen, we are in typical rain patterns. Last 2 years have been high rains. El Nino patterns.

Peace's avatar

They can just switch out astroturf/lawn depending on the prior year's weather patterns. That might split the difference!

Lisa Ca's avatar

LOL. They have “realized” the toxic chemicals are harmful to humans and enviro.

But they LOVE their weather alarmism.

Up until this past week, Northern Cali has been having an extremely mild approach into summer. I'll bet we set some LOW temperature records this year - but haven't seen anybody talking about that - it doesn't support the narrative.

Alyssa Casanova's avatar

They also started pushing the "feels like" temperature too, to make you think it's worse than it actually is.

Ellaemu's avatar

I was talking to someone yesterday in Florida about this. 92 degrees in July? The horror! Another thing I’ve noticed that the feels like has gone way up. Right now the temp is 88 but the feels like is 100? Whoever wrote that hasn’t been in FL when the temp has been 100, everyone goes nuts.....

Jeff, I rolled with hilarious laughter this morning, reading your comments about Macron!🤣😂 And as I'm brewing my 2nd cup of tea, I realize that you have become what Rush Limbaugh was to me - a filter through which I could process ugliness & corruption with hope & humor. I deeply grieved at his passing & tho there are many courageous truth speakers & seekers on the radio, Rush's absense left a gaping hole in. You alone bring clarity, insight, wisdom, hope & greatly needed hilarity to my mornings. Thank you.🧡🙂

Freebird's avatar

You’re so right Gwendolyn, C&C has become my go-to for information which I was desperately seeking since the passing of Rush. Of all the purveyors of information out there, Jeff is the only one I’ve found with the wit and intelligence to deliver on a par with Rush. And that is a high bar indeed!

Guy White's avatar

I share that sentiment, that the daily dose of C&C gives me the kind of boost in spirit that El Rushbo did for the 28 years I was fortunate enough to enjoy his talent… I dare say Jeff Childers is the written equivalent of Rush’s wit and wisdom, encouragement, inspiration and especially humor. And as I’ve said before, I only wish (1) the joy of experiencing C&C lasted for up to 3 hours a day, and (2) that I could “consume” the content while also cleaning my guns. That is one area where radio is superior! For all the DittoHeads missing the great MahaRushie today, do yourself a favor and take a listen here (the clip includes the Doctor of Democracy’s incomparable voice as well): https://youtu.be/Qf1vllKXhls?feature=shared

God bless, I look forward to sharing an adult beverage and perhaps a cigar with Rush in heaven (and tea with C.S. Lewis)!

Jaime's avatar

Talent returned to God! I miss him terribly- and yes, grateful to Jeff for helping us all

Beckadee's avatar

When you have someone tell you to knock it off, you better apologize! He did so perfectly. With just enough bite to throw it back in their face. Hilarious how some folks feel the need to complain about silly stuff and be so offended.

Cheryl Caraglior's avatar

Had this same thought just the other day. Jeff has replaced Rush in my life. Can't wait each day to read his take on current events and his humor keeps my head screwed on straight.

PEL's avatar

As a former liberal (yes I know and very embarrassed about it), I came late to the Rush party. I deeply regret that and sorely miss his commentary. My go-to radio guy now when I need a mental cleanse to combat the craziness is Shaun Thompson. He’s hilariously over the top but accurate.

Freebird's avatar

I take offense at Clay and Buck. They are total idiots that I can’t even listen to. My husband has the radio on (out of habit) and all he does is curse them, calls them dumb and dumber, or Bevis and Butthead. The day Rush died was the day that talk radio died. It’s an affront that those two are on in his time slot.

Rush was an original. He will never be repeated.

I really got a kick out of this: "a smelly pack of overweight, blue-haired morons with face tattoos began swanking around and claiming that the “government approved their religion,” - because aren't they all supposed to be anti-establishment rebels against all things authoritarian? So why do they need the permission of the government or the IRS? So funny. These wokies will always massively contradict themselves.

And I'm pretty sure that not only is Macron gay, his wife is a man (see: Candace Owens and her expose).

AngelaK's avatar

I do not believe it. Is this the new way to attack political opposition? Does that make conservatives any more proper than liberals?

alongername's avatar

i gave you a like ! actually ....... seems like most "attacks' by people against others

are not any different than what starts in first grade .

and continues in that way throughout life .

Runemasque's avatar

A new attack meaning allege that a spouse is really trans? I think what is interesting is that this kind of support appeals to the fear and suspicion that reality is far different than what is presented. We see obvious things like how unlikely it is that Biden is truly the mover of presidential actions, and we wonder just how far the deception goes. If Michelle or Bridget are actually men, then everyone would need to seriously seek to restructure their concept of reality.

So, on the one hand it is sensational mudslinging of the gradeschool variety, and on the other it is a disorienting questioning of pretenses and integrity. What, then, is really going on?

liz's avatar

I am hearing this A LOT from people who are usually smart. and informed. then again I hear it about SO MANY Hollywood types so ... not sure.

Actually, the NYT story about the Parkinson's Physician visiting the WH multiple times, was stolen from Alex Berenson, who first published this scoop on Substack and X. NYT, of course, didn't think to credit him. Alex got onto the story from a hint in the NY Post, which he had the courtesy to acknowledge.

AM's avatar

Yep. I knew when I read AB's substack on Saturday that this was going to go viral. It was a fantastic bit of old-school reporting/sleuthing. Something I wish we saw more of.

I once had a girlfriend who was sensitive about her height - she was 5'1". So I told friends she was 4'13", since 13 is bigger than 1. She didn't appreciate my efforts. I think Mr. Childers is using a similar approach with Macron.

Lew's avatar

I'm 5'6" and I KNOW that, since the average American male is, I believe, around 5'8", I'm definitely SHORT. But I'm happy to know that I could qualify to be President of France (just need to learn French). But please don't call me "ferret face"!

Patti F's avatar

5'6" feels like a giant to me. I'm 5'3" and I can't reach the top shelf in stores, and keep a step stool readily available in my kitchen so i can reach the 3rd shelf (I have to stretch to reach the 2nd shelf). 5'6" is NOT short.

Susan Seas's avatar

It’s all perspective 😂 5’ 6” is on the short side for a man. I am 5’ 9” and consider myself average height until I look around while standing in a grocery line. 😆

RunningLogic's avatar

It also depends what part of the country you’re in, I feel much shorter in the Midwest than I did in western NY state 😆

PamelaZelie's avatar

I agree with you 100%. 5 ft 6 for a man is short! 😊

AngelaK's avatar

The average woman is 5'4". You are not short. Super model height is *anomalous*, not yours.

CHop's avatar

I do the same in my kitchen. I'm 5'2", but was 5'4" in the 80's...with hair🙂

Sherry's avatar

I am 4’ 11” and enjoy being short! Once had a blind date with a guy who was 6’7” and very sensitive about his height. Was not a good time!

JimmyD's avatar

Also 5'6": I like to think of myself as "compact and efficient".

HoneyPot4Freedom's avatar

LOL! I very much doubt that you have the resting b-face that looks like one is eternally constipated like the weasel Macron! Suffice to say, I think you are safe!

Lew's avatar

If only it were true -- I actually have the dreaded resting b-face. When I think I'm smiling everyone who doesn't know me thinks I'm angry. I don't know how I lost the smile reflex but I am constantly reminding myself to forcefully make my face muscles into a smile when meeting people. It's so hard being me...

Benjamin Two N's's avatar

Jeff, on the outside chance that this hasn't been mentioned yet, that "breaking" story by the NY Times was STOLEN by the NY Times from Alex Berenson. He has a few fantastic Substacks on the matter, this one from this morning (see link at bottom).

I think it may be important to note prominently in your writeup of the Parkinson's doctor affair that the NY Times did NOT break any news, they instead stole the news and then tried to pass it off as theirs, then when Alex publicly called them out on their theft, they surreptitiously altered their reporting without confessing or admitting to having stolen the story in the first place.
