Words Beyond Me-Janice Powell's avatar

Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me,

For my soul takes refuge in You;

And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge

Until destruction passes by.

I will cry to God Most High,

To God who accomplishes all things for me.

He will send from heaven and save me;

He reproaches him who tramples upon me.

God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth.

— Psalm 57:1-3 NAS

nik's avatar

There are definitely worse purposes in life …personally I would spend my energy targeting those.

Thanks Janice ! Love the daily soul food 🙌

Truth Seeker's avatar

the daily soul food has hijacked the commentary section re: the article

Truth Seeker's avatar

regardless of whether you "like" it or not its a hijack as there is zero discussion about the incredible points raised in the articles.

Why are so many so tone deaf???

Uncle Juan's avatar

Than you Janice!!! You are a blessing!

Truth Seeker's avatar

If the Easter Bunny posts some scripture will you also like and bless it?

Janice is a bot

Anita from Tucson - Now In MI's avatar

John 8:47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God...

Thank you, for our daily bread!, Janice.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Janice is a "bot"it duped you using scripture

P Flournoy's avatar

I think you are the bot

Julie's avatar

Thank you Janice!

C. Wilson's avatar

Janice- I'm not much of a church goer. I do chat with God a lot. To deny the presence of a central diety is to deny what every human group has bellieved, well, forever. Before there was Christ, every society had "someone." Some verson of God. Even the ones that had a lot of lesser gods had one supreme God. Can all of humanity who didn't even know about each other be wrong about "God?" Pretty big coinincidence I'd say. I don't believe in coincidences.

What you quoted today was particularly on target for today- and in my comment below, I said how it would have made me feel- and other "warriors" who are stepping out to possibly sacrifice their own life nearly daily. I feel it today as I continue my own personal calling.

I know you will pray and forgive. Thank you for that. Me? I'm more a "lock and load" kind of person. And I will NEVER ring the bell (read Make your Bed).

Keep on with your mission. You make a difference.

Life is good

Truth Seeker's avatar

Yeah well you are attempting to talk to a bot. "Janice" is a bot using scripture to deflect discussion re JC's articles, You drank the kool aid and did not notice...

Freebird's avatar

FYI, Janice is not a bot. Sorry to spoil your fun, but I know exactly who Janice is, she is very human and dear to me. You, on the other hand, are probably a bot.

But just for fun, tell me what Truth you are seeking.

Truth Seeker's avatar

yes bird, so says the bird

Meanwhile this thing called evidence is on offer.

"Janice" is redirecting what would otherwise be a useful discussion.

That discussion is the work of JC not hijacking the thread...

Truth Seeker's avatar

Yeah right, I am suggesting you are not truthful

and no I am not answering your sophomoric redirects

C. Wilson's avatar

Why would I notice? And, the words today were pretty good. I doubt Mr. Childers minds seeing Scripture. Doesn't look like the bot did much deflecting.

Truth Seeker's avatar

no one "minds" scripture. that is not the point!!

The point is that its a total hijack!!! No one is even discussing the article.

There really are clueless people.

C. Wilson's avatar

And if this was your blog, it would be your business, but it isn't so maybe you are the troll? Just saying.

Truth Seeker's avatar

you are welcome to your opinion however the merit of what you offer is in the content, just oinking

You have contributed exactly nothing of merit.

It is a public forum and the comment section was hijacked genius whatever the content...

sempervirens's avatar

I deeply appreciate this passage Janice. 🙏

Thank you.

Unsteady's avatar

Your purpose in life is to be the first to post some religious mumbo jumbo after every column?

Valerie's avatar

We love Janice. You can just pass it by if you don’t want to read it.

Annie's avatar

Agree 💯. Also, don't feed the trolls. 😊

C. Wilson's avatar

You might llike to read my reply to her.

Truth Seeker's avatar

In case you did not notice "Janice" simply posts scripture

but nothing else. Too many kool aid drinkers here with zero discernment

You are feeding the Bot, that is stupid

Valerie's avatar

Janice comments on the regular and has her own substack. Maybe you’re the bot.

Truth Seeker's avatar

then why does she hijack?????????? the comment section is to discuss the article. What about that do you not comprehend??

Truth Seeker's avatar

Howz about the bot? are you happy to be duped by a bot

That is a sign of a simple mind

Truth Seeker's avatar

did you also love the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz?

Just asking... Discernment is the operative word

Truth Seeker's avatar

except that "Janice" is a bot that duped you. .. using Scripture

clever but rather obvious

C. Wilson's avatar

You should read the book, Make Your Bed, by Admiral McCraven. It is small. Even you can get through it.

In the book you will see why we need diplomats (like Janice) and warriors (like me).

Her words today would have been something good for me to recite EVERY work day as I strapped on a gun and headed out not knowing if I was coming home at the end of my shift. It's not a conscious thought, but it runs in the undercurrents of the mind.

Bringing comfort to people with a Bible verse---how is that a bad thing?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Mr. Childers is faith based. Maybe you are subscribed to the wrong newsletter.

Lori's avatar

Darn right C. Please stay safe in your line of work.

Susan V's avatar

And we love it!!! And it’s not a religious mumbo-jumbo it’s called having a relationship with our most gracious and merciful Creator and glorifying Him. Will pray for you

Jamison's avatar

We look forward to seeing Janice’s timely and thoughtful posts. Sounds like you could use some Bible reading.

Truth Seeker's avatar

the word is Discernment

Not about bible reading, this is a comment section for JC's work not

a redirect. Janis is a bot and you drank the kool aid

Freebird's avatar

Unsteady…name fits. ✅

Susan V's avatar

I was thinking the same thing!

The Great Resist's avatar

Why did you feel the need to make such a nasty comment? Perhaps you should examine your own purpose in life.

TexBritta's avatar

Non-believers only pray once tragedy affects them…then God is their equation.

That’s what my 97 year old grandmother once said. 🤷‍♂️

Ryan Gardner's avatar

That said God is still there for them, and often his will is to allow their free will to hit rock bottom.

Sometimes that's merciful, and the only way for them to experience God's grace and mercy.

M. Patrick McCrary's avatar

Jesus loves you man and He's been around since the beginning being that He is the Creator of it all as John 1:1-5 explains. John 3:16 and 14:6 tell you more about His mission and what every man must do-either receive or reject Him as Lord and Savior of their life. Romans 3:23 and 6:23 explains why we all need a Savior in the first place. I hope you check it out-a lot rides on your decision for or against Him.

It's not about religion, it's about relationship! Many will be praying for you.

Carolyn's avatar

Your "name" is appropriate. You are unsteady as well as mentally handicapped

Lori's avatar

perhaps coming out of a Korean lab?

Uncle Juan's avatar

Yes… Unsteady… sounds appropriate.

QE's avatar

Why do I have seen your bubble pop up while I'm trying to read comments?

Who's more obnoxious, a lady quietly posting scripture that one can read or not read or a person harassing her while shoving subscribe bubbles in everyone's face?

What is the purpose of your comment but to demean and belittle? There is a digital community here that has been established over time. That alone warrants respect.

Janet's avatar

Unsteady? Hmm. Maybe you need a steady influence in your life. Janice reminds us of where you can find that steady influence. Take care, my friend.

Mystic William's avatar

What’s yours? What is your purpose? Correcting others?

Peace's avatar

Unsteady - name works:)

Words Beyond Me-Janice Powell's avatar

That “Janice is a bot” thread is rather amusing. Do bots crave chocolate? Take naps? Raise 7 children? Write devotionals? Celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary? Laugh at trolls? 🤭

Tiny basket of deplorable's avatar

Thank you Janice. In an ugly world, we need to keep our eyes on our Lord and Savior🙏🏻

Truth Seeker's avatar

Janice, am not in the least offended by posting scripture however this is a comment section for JC's timely offerings. Why not just start your own Sub?

Because you are actually hijacking the purpose of the comment section.

MrsW's avatar

AMEN!!! Thank you for the reminder. God has our back!

Graphite's avatar

Thanks Janice - God bless you 🙏

Truth Seeker's avatar

oink just oink, I am calling Janice out to be a fraud

Truth Seeker's avatar

"Janice" the hijacker posts scripture preventing discussion about the very very important and real issues brought up by JC. The scripture is not even pertinent to the article.

No one seems to notice. That is not ok regardless the intention.

Fidelio's avatar

And also, to many of us who want the wicked people to leave the White House

Pthalocyanine's avatar

it seems like a good time for RFK Jr to ban pharmaceutical ads on TV, no?

Based Florida Man's avatar

"to comply with Truth in Advertising, the FDA now requires vaccine products to be individually tested against placebos before ads on any platform can be permitted..."

C. Wilson's avatar

And yet- there are still ads on TV. Some paid for with tax dollars

Based Florida Man's avatar

...of course I'm using a fictitious statement. But I'm hoping to see it for real in the near future.

C. Wilson's avatar

Perfect. I actually thought it might be something RFKjr had planned.

Graphite's avatar

Haha brilliant 👏 " speaking things that 'are not' - in faith, as though they were" as one of our old pastors used to say 🙏 Amwn!

L. E. Joiner's avatar

Most of the drugs advertised are not vaccines. Have they been tested with double-blind placebo studies?

C. Wilson's avatar

I surely don't know. Last night we watched a drug ad that ran a full minute. Neither of us could figure out what the stuff was to cure. A full 30 seconds dealt with all the horrific side effects.

"Ask your doctor for..." To us it seemed like a way to give the network money.

We think it was for something, but they only said 3 letters and we can't recall what they were!

L. E. Joiner's avatar

There was one like that we saw that was for a highly-specialized anti-cancer drug. Target market would be pretty small, even if it they bought time on all the streaming/cable/broadcast channels.

C. Wilson's avatar

To me it appears that the ads are most bribes. The level of corruption in this country (probably the world) is astounding. My Dad, a battle of the Bulge silver star soldier, would be heart sick to see what his country as become.

I'd rather know than not know.

Graphite's avatar

Yeah control what the media say by making them dependent on pharma advertising money...

Graphite's avatar

I think non-'vaccine' drugs have to pass stricter tests than the so-called vaccines - which is why they changed the definition of 'vaccine' before they launched the psuedouridine mRNA gene therapies on us!

Abiding Dude's avatar

I wonder if that is only for NEW vaccines...

The same way they bypassed mandated testing for the CURRENT Covid DEATH-JABS.

Principled Pragmatist's avatar

Is this new? If so, guess that means we won’t be seeing any vaccine products advertised until they can get through the placebo trials (which they will likely fail).

Ryan Gardner's avatar

The only list longer than the side effect disclaimers at the end of pharma commercials is a list of all the things Democrats are hypocritical about.

rowantree's avatar

Yep! Make that Republicans too though.

Janet's avatar

I left the Dems but can’t say I’m a Republican either or independent. I am one person who joined President Trumps coalition of many because he seems to be FOR ME and my issues and wants to correct the wrongs that are tearing this country and families apart. Plus protecting children—my main concern. The republicans as a whole better get serious about this moment in history—maybe the only chance we have, and get on their hind legs and fight back. All of them. I know many are but too many sit back and throw a wrench in the works. I am deeply suspicious of some, like Rand Paul. All hat and no cattle? If not, give me evidence. Blessings, Ryan. I do have hope but it’s precarious at the moment.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Amen. Pretty much the same here.

rowantree's avatar

Most, if not all Republicans are just as bad as Democrats. Politicians are politicians.

Fred Jewett's avatar

Big Pharma is an equal opportunity briber.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Agree. I've always said they are the true enemy.

c Anderson's avatar

Yep, those damn Republicans that hate abortion and like fences for borders. You wouldn’t want them leading our country. They are just as bad as the open borders, euthanasia and abortion loving, pro Hamas Democrats. 😜

Annie's avatar

Yes please. The ads are gross. Gut the funding of these networks too.

Joyfulgiver's avatar

me thinks, once the ads are removed...the funding goes with them. Soon to witness the shriveling up of most media funding. I can't wait!

c Anderson's avatar

It didn’t hurt them when cigarette and alcohol company advertising went away. What hurts them is consumer literacy.

St. Alia the Knife's avatar

It is interesting to me to hear the large number of "safe gun storage" advertisements on the radio. Ostensibly to prevent suicide but conveniently make rapid threat response impossible. "Store your guns, unloaded, locked away and separate from ammunition."

Leskunque Lepew's avatar

They are gross and very expensive to produce and air.

Garden Lover's avatar

This has been going on for a long, long time. I believe it was in the late 90s, but there were a couple of journalists who did an investigative report on rBGH and rBST (recombinant bovine growth hormones used to increase milk production at large dairy farms and a product of Monsanto). They found all kinds of nasty side effects, one of them being cancer. When they went to air it, the news station pulled them in and said that they needed to change some stuff before it could be aired or the journalists would be fired. Pretty soon, the only way it would get aired was if the report was completely neutered. The journalists refused and were fired.

Cut that pHarma ad funding, and soon they’ll go away.

Scott Kinghorn's avatar

I believe it was a Fox station in Tampa.

rowantree's avatar

They are pretty funny though- I'm going to miss counting the side effects.

Susan Seas's avatar

May cause death by severe diarrhea but you won’t have that itchy skin. (Well you won’t notice the itch due to the bigger problems you will experience) 🫣

Deb's avatar

Or don't take it if you are allergic to it!!!!

Susan Seas's avatar

😂 always a good one! If I ever see a Dr again I am going to use “I’m allergic to it” for everything they suggest!

Mehitabel's avatar

I’ve thought about telling them I am considering, or may already be pregnant. Despite my advanced age and previous hysterectomy. Doesn’t mean I can’t consider it.

PamelaZelie's avatar

What about all those poor people who ‘identify’ as pregnant. 😜

alongername's avatar

I tell them i am presently trying to make someone pregnant .

C. Wilson's avatar

I'm rather fond of the orthopedic doctors who keep putting me back together. I do see them.

Margot Wooster's avatar

Surgeons are a different class of doctor. They (mostly, not all) actually repair things that need fixing.

Bandit's avatar

Aren't they wonderful?

Lori's avatar

and how would you know until you took it???

Bandit's avatar

The best part of that is how do you know you're allergic to it until you take it?

RunningLogic's avatar

And the carefully chosen actors that represent all the minorities, dancing gaily in a field of flowers 😆😛

C. Wilson's avatar

I like the ones with severely overweight who are advertising a drug that helped them lose weight.

Karen Bandy's avatar

Average 36 pounds lost, however some lost 46. How do they come up with such a strange number?

C. Wilson's avatar

And it's a version of those 2 numbers on all ads...yet most could lose another 100 pounds. A gal at our gym used some of that stuff. Gained it plus more when she went off.

I had chemo 21 years ago. Now THAT is a weight loss program. Gained 30 pounds after because I could again eat. The med I was on said it caused weight gain. I found out it was because it took away saiety...NOT like steroids. So, I was eating when I wasn't hungry. 21 year later I still don't ever feel full. I just stop eating when my portion is gone. Lost the weight. Had they told me why the weight gain.....

Matt L.'s avatar

Maybe the same way they came up with/ Iran shooting ‘whole number’ volley of missiles? It’s all fake.

Verve's avatar

That is so irritating- also normalizing all kinds of illnesses as if they are just rites of passage - that we are all inherently sick- that we don't have the capacity to heal ourselves with proper personal care. I started working on my blood pressure by increasing my salt intake using a small scoop of a sugar free electrolyte drink called Ultima every morning when I get up- before my coffee. If I'm outside working up a sweat in boiling hot FL weather I'll have another one in the afternoon. I cut my carbs way down, get in my steps and some weights a couple times a week and lo and behold, my BP is back where it was in my 20s- 117/79. Every day I tell people "See yourself well" which is the mantra I got from Courtney Hunt MD. Our life is not a crime. See yourself well!!

Leskunque Lepew's avatar

When my friend brought down their BP naturally, the doctor made no comment since they were pushing BP drugs.

Mehitabel's avatar

I saw a new doctor many years ago who commented on my high BP but did not order any meds to treat it. The next time I saw her, she was amazed at how much better my BP was and said the BP meds she insisted she HAD ordered must be doing the trick. I never went back.

Fred Jewett's avatar

When my doctor threatened to put be on blood pressure pills in my 40s I decided to give up my twice daily 4x4 large Tim Horton coffees instead. Did the trick.

Verve's avatar

@runninglogic sorry for the diatribe!!😂😂 when are you coming back to Florida?? Miss you!

RunningLogic's avatar

It’s fine, I always enjoy your posts, Verve! No apologies necessary! 🙂

Not sure, we have other plans this summer so may not make it down for a while. I would love to see you again though! ❤️

Garden Lover's avatar

I’ve had issues with leg cramps when I swim for about a decade now. I’ve tried numerous “cures”. Magnesium, potassium, etc. Finally, someone said, “Pickle juice.” Pickle juice has a lot of salt in it. So, I started sprinkling just a little bit of salt in my bottom of my water glass. I’ve only been doing this for a few weeks and I’m already noticing the difference. Yes, I have threatening cramps, but I was getting cramps that started in my feet, went into my calf, and locked my knee. All because of low salt.

Also, something else I’ve noticed is that, as someone who swims 5 times a week and also gardens, which is exercise, if I don’t eat enough animal protein, I get heart palpitations. Eat enough animal protein, and those disappear, too.

So, all the foods they tell you are bad for you are actually good for you.

Verve's avatar

No truer words spoken, Garden!

Remember The Lion King when Mufasa was killed, and Simba had left the Big, Beautiful Pride Land in shame, assuming Mufasa’s death was his fault. That left evil SCAR in charge, and those awful hyenas governing? Remember everyone was starving, and the hyenas were basically eating their own on account of poor management and lack of

morals? Then they did that little dance,

singing, “NO KING! NO KING! La la la!” 🎼🎶 Yeah… That’s the scorched earth mental picture I have of the liberals running the place, NO KING “mostly peaceful” riots (oxymoron much?), and the hyenas (libs / dems) over on Blue Sky and everywhere— eating their own.

Susan Catherine's avatar

"Mostly peaceful" = Partially violent

Lori's avatar

nope, mostly violent.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Except here. We’re literally waiting for those idiots to show. It will be a little bit of a distraction to the normal humdrum Florida day.

Lori's avatar

just stay safe Alan if they do show. All the best to you and your family.

Mystic William's avatar

The most violent people on the planet were ‘mostly peaceful’. Jeffrey Dahmer was mostly peaceful.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

The “Insurrection” was a whole helluvalot less violent than the “mostly peaceful” non-riots.

SB's avatar

Mostly peaceful = let’s go burn some buildings and loot out businesses but peacefully, ya know?

Mystic William's avatar

It is the fault of the Right. If they simply sat back and allowed the left to take what they need and want and didn’t object, there would be no violence.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

YES, it does!! Teetering on the brink of, “pretty dang violent”. I mean, stores were burned to the

ground. If that’s peaceful what does violent look

like?

The people in our cities are waving Mexican flags.

The people we elected are waving Israeli flags.

O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave?

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Isnt funny that Ds think that America is a horribly dangerous, systematically racist and xenophobic country where dark people never have a chance because our society is unjust in stacking the odds in favor of the awful white man, yet at the same time we are cruel by not letting the entire worlds "huddled masses" come here to experience the American dream?!

RunningLogic's avatar

They’re nothing if not illogical 🙄

Roger Beal's avatar

Not really, when you consider the truth of the replacement theory.

C. Wilson's avatar

It surely does wherever we go. And the road to where we live is lined with them. My neighbors didn't have to remember to put the flag out for flad day. we fly them daily.

Leskunque Lepew's avatar

I have yet to see people waiving Israeli flags or Iranian flags

Roger Beal's avatar

Remember, bargain shoppers, that at least one Walmart heiress is helping fund and promote the NoKings crapola.

Liz Wheeler on the Blaze has done a good expose of the astro turf funders of these protests. She also has some interesting things to say about LA mayor Karen Bass - basically she’s more of a political warlord than a bumbling buffoon.

Susan Seas's avatar

Karen Bass (if that’s her real name) Frequently trained in Cuba.

Ripple's avatar

Nobody in this day and age would take "Karen" as a pseudonym

Susan Seas's avatar

😂 maybe not her choice.

GG's avatar

DataRepublican on X has been putting out all sorts of information.

Fred's avatar

Walmart put out a formal statement disavowing her, and saying she no longer has anything to do with the corporation.

Roger Beal's avatar

Interesting .... I'll believe it when Miss Christy tells us that she is no longer accepting annuity payments from ol' Sam's monies.

Fred's avatar

She may well be, but that doesn’t change my perception. Not that I frequent WM, but last time I was there, they had many more USA products (especially produce) than the nearby Sprouts.

Bandit's avatar

I haven't noticed more at mine, but I could have just missed the fact they started getting them.

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

As I understand it, she lives in Mexico, the widow of one of Sam's sons. I read that the family tried to dissuade her from paying for those adds promoting No Kings. I do not hold Walmart responsible for her actions.

Raciegammie's avatar

How loud & how proud was that WalMart statement?

I haven’t seen nor heard it except through one other comment like yours.

So why do they continue to think they can hold on to customers from all sides?? Because we are too poor to quit them??

Fred's avatar

IDK of course, but we don’t have TV and I’m rarely on SM, so I’d guess their statement was at least moderately well circulated.

Lori's avatar

and we believe that why?

Fred's avatar

Well, they put out a formal statement, and we (100% averse to TV and SM) actually saw it, making us think that at least they tried to distance themselves from her opinion.

Lori's avatar

I did not see that so thank you for the info Fred.

Stacy's avatar

She still gets paid when we spend. She holds a pant load of Wal-Stock. Peopleofwalmart.com is as close as I care to go to that place, anymore. I’m looking forward to hearing about their Bud Light treatment, but I doubt it will come to that level. All jokes aside, it’s easier to sideline a company with a product we can live without than it is one that has things we need at prices we need to be paying.

Bandit's avatar

They can say anything they like, it's walmart, and I don't believe a word they say.

Ohio Deb's avatar

Afraid of a Walmart boycott?…

Fred's avatar

Nope; just believe in accuracy.

MOMinator's avatar

I gave up Walmart when they went all-in on DEI…forcing it on their employees as part of their training ugh

Lori's avatar

yup, no walmart for me! hope the heiress is visited by rioters, they can have a tea party, not.

SB's avatar

The only thing I buy at Walmart is trash bags 😆

Kay Zanger's avatar

I have lived in Israel, the reason they can have a low death rate is they go to bunkers. Every building that is built must have a bunker. In communities where being bombed is almost constant they have bunkers in and on the playgrounds at schools.

CStone's avatar

While Hamas fills their schools and hospitals with rockets and bombs to exterminate life, Israel puts bunkers everywhere to save lives.

What a very stark difference.

Lori's avatar

Awful way to live having to worry about bombs and bunkers.

Navyo Ericsen's avatar

My mother as a teenager had to run into the cellar when bombs were dropping during WWII. We're lucky not to have to do that - yet.

Debra's avatar

Brigitte Gabriel wrote a good book "Because They Hate" and tells about living in bunkers and bomb shelters for years at a time.

Lori's avatar

I can't imagine who would read it. So depressing. That's not living, that is being caged. Sad to think such a topic exists that would be written about. Heavy sigh.

P Flournoy's avatar

People need to read it because they live in a fantasy world that things like that don’t happen. I own the book and I recommend it.

Debra's avatar

I also own the book and should reread it. Brigette is an amazing survivor and also a believer in Jesus even though her childhood was horrific. In my opinion not reading these kinds of stories makes a person's empathy very limited. That would be like saying "I don't want to know what happened in the concentration camps and what the Nazi did to human beings." I refuse to stick my head in the sand. I also refuse to be silent and be part of the apathy. Brigette told her story of survival. The Jews tortured and killed by Hamas on October 7th are not silent either. Their stories need to be told and retold. I feel sorry for people who have a hard time with truth and think it is depressing. The world is a depressing place but it is even worse when the truth is hidden away and feelings are not expressed openly. But to each their own.

Lori's avatar

Anyone that has a TV, radio, computer, newspaper and linked into social media is well aware we are not in a fantasy world unless you are an ostrich. History classes taught us that as well. As for me, I truly respect your recommendation but rather use my time and/or dollars to balance all the heaviness that exists in the world by engaging in joyful activities like volunteering and engaging in positive events than reading about additional angst and sorrow in the world.

P Flournoy's avatar

I’m involved in volunteer work at pregnancy centers, helping a family from West Africa learn English and several other projects.

In the past, I was mentoring kids on Sunday morning who have no place to go but to run wild at the local Church, helping a single mother, raise her children. It was just a few examples of where I have spent my time. Reading her book many years ago further opened my eyes to what is going on in this country. Through what she experienced, I can learn from the warning she puts out regarding Islam and its tentacles which are now reaching in into our own society. Understanding history is critical in not making the same mistakes.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Apparently you don’t see fit to give any credence at all to Israel’s total dominance of Iran’s airspace within the first few hours of attack? Complete destruction of their air defenses. Destruction of much of their nuclear capability and death of most of military leadership?

Lori's avatar

Sounds like you are celebrating and giving credence. That's your business, not mine.

Yesterday I saw an AP article saying that the missile attacks had resulted in many Israeli casualties. The numbers were very precise, something like "72 dead, 232 injured." Already that sounded bogus, since as you say, every Israeli has ready access to a bunker. Then came the clincher: the source they quoted was IRAN. About ten minutes after the missiles launched, IRAN already knew precisely how many Israelis they hit. The whole thing was simply absurd. Today I looked for that article and can't find it. Surprise.

Abiding Dude's avatar

When you run an apartheid regime, and mass-slaughter horrendous numbers of innocents... when your entire country is founded on a BIG LIE of the "holocaust"... and spread corruption and evil worldwide...

You might expect some push-back and build bunkers.

Abiding TRUTH, you slimy skidmark.

Jews consider truth to be hateful. So do woke pansy scumbags like you... or is your real name Scottstein?

Debra's avatar

You cannot co-exist with people who want to kill you so you build bunders to stay alive. Americans are oblivious to this kind of life. Islam is a cult of death. They teach their babies to hate and kill the Jewish neighbors. What kind of religion does this? Only Islam.

Richard Whitney's avatar

I am finding out from the SMO that the Soviets did the same thing. They built underground shelters everywhere- the apartment buildings, the factories, the subways, the schools.

Meanwhile, we were told to get under our desks.

Remember Hawaii a few years ago? They all got told to "Take shelter immediately", but there was nowhere to go.

A saying "Don't feed the trolls." A troll will post an obnoxious or nasty remark to a relevant post to change the discourse of the topic. Then everyone is responding to the troll's post not the original post. Ignore the trolls. Don't feed them.

Guy White's avatar

“Feeding” online trolls with a response, and getting the result Annie pointed to, is like pig wrestling. You both get dirty but the pig likes it. 🐽

Annie's avatar

I like your saying too. So true.

Lori's avatar

pigs are smarter than the trolls any day, any time, anywhere.

C. Wilson's avatar

Perfect. Thanks for posting that

Navyo Ericsen's avatar

There needs to be signs: DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.

I block their account and report them to Substack.

Even better is to ignore them. They cannot stand being ignored.

Lori's avatar

yes, let them starve.

Jeff;

Here in NE Ohio there are 5 protests which just happen to be timed so the protesters can drive from one to the next to maximize their visibility.

Too bad it's supposed to rain all day!

LMWC's avatar

I wish it would rain here in mid Michigan, we could use it. No protests here as we are too close to worn out, old auto cities. No one goes to these cities for anything so protests would be a waste of time. Note, how they only protest in areas that are fairly suburban or liberal, upscale cities to get maximum coverage.

Ole's avatar

Yes, we had a protest in probably the most liberal area of our city a few days ago supposedly supporting LA and telling Trump & ICE to f-off--almost everyone was WHITE!

Our American flag is proudly flying!

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Mine flies day and night, extremely well lit.

c morrow's avatar

I just put mine out after hearing that it is flag day! I would have missed it with C&C today! 🦋

Lori's avatar

I put mine up yesterday! and a Trump poster I made wishing him HB!

Mini-mum's avatar

There was one advertised for our mid-Michigan community and they were so excited because the MI AG was going to be in attendance. The old 80s adage “gag me with a spoon” instantly came to mind when I read that bit of “news.”

LMWC's avatar

Just got home from a mid Michigan city that was supposed to be having one. This city used to be conservative but with the one corporation this town is known for becoming much more DEI, (just got over having Pride month everything), I expected to see some sign of protests somewhere. We were pretty much all over this small city and no signs anywhere.

Mini-mum's avatar

Yay - so glad you didn’t see any activity around town. You were probably/apparently in the town my mail is addressed to ;) Obviously I can’t assume we are talking about the same town & company, but the town I live in IS known for one particular corporation…so.

RunningLogic's avatar

It rained here this morning but I think it’s supposed to clear up unfortunately. I was hoping for thunderstorms 😬

Beckadee's avatar

Raining here now and the temp at 86 with heat index of 96- barely any wind. The geniuses who organized the Indivisible Mobile will start at 12 noon. I say good luck with that. Gonna be a lot of boomer libtards passing out [I hope].

CStone's avatar

Pray for thunderstorms!!!!!!

RunningLogic, I had to laugh 😂🤣, as I woke up this morning with an old Statler Brothers' song running through my head, in particular the first verse:

Well the Lord looked down from His window in the sky and said

I created man but I don't remember why

Nothin' but fightin' since creation day

I'll send a little water and I'll wash'em all away

I sent the info about the one in Mt. Lebanon to the Mt. Lebanon Police Dept.

With the notation, "you can't say nobody warned you."

Miss Teacup's avatar

I've noticed the people around here talk big but they never seem to do very much. Like I've never seen burning cars or whatever. The "globalize the intifada" idiots set up camp on Pitt's campus, dragged a few pallets around to make a little 'wall', hollered a lot, but otherwise just made a mud pit of the lawn. Maybe today will be different?

Lori's avatar

So glad you did that and gave them a heads up.

Ole's avatar

God bless us, every one!

Lori's avatar

as Tiny Tim says!

C. Wilson's avatar

Same thing here is SW Fl. Trouble is they are in an area that is as bright Red as it gets.

Brian Crossley's avatar

Confused by the Tri City Washington mall protest. Pretty conservative here so do not expect much

Becky's avatar

There was a pathetic line of Trump haters on GW Way in Richland, and a few on Road 68 in Pasco, earlier today. Absolutely no one honked in support. Total silence from all the cars passing. Didn’t go to the mall location so no idea if anything happened there. We have an armed group called Defend the Tri that shows up if any demonstrations get disorderly. They dispersed a few thugs that tried to get arrested a few years ago. Apparently paid protestors get paid more if they go to jail. A friend told me one of them told her that!

Brian Crossley's avatar

Checked the Try Shity herald for their report and I feel so rejected and hated....These people really have no idea. Too much T.V.?

Lori's avatar

Please stay safe C.

C. Wilson's avatar

I'm staying home. Here is the rule. If you are in a bar and there is a barfight, when police arrive, the people standing go to jail and the ones on the floor to the hospital. It's the same at these protests. If you are there you are part of the problem. Every "show" needs an audience. Stay home

CStone's avatar

I have been praying that it will rain so hard, just right where the protesters are. Just that street, just that park…..and be accompanied by MUCH lightening and thunder………

KBB's avatar

One is scheduled for Las Cruces today. Expected high: 104 degrees. They will be stewing in their own juices.

Ole's avatar

We all knew that they would include some Astro-turfing, but shipping paid protesters to WY?

Wonder if any counter protesters will bother to show up? (!!!!)

Abiding Dude's avatar

Maybe you guys will show America that FIRING on arsonists and looters is THE way to end this radical left-funded madness.

Tucker Carlson calling them out.....................

https://x.com/TuckerCarlson/status/1933620743406801038

The real divide isn’t between people who support Israel and people who support Iran or the Palestinians. The real divide is between those who casually encourage violence, and those who seek to prevent it — between warmongers and peacemakers. Who are the warmongers? They would include anyone who’s calling Donald Trump today to demand air strikes and other direct US military involvement in a war with Iran. On that list: Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Rupert Murdoch, Ike Perlmutter and Miriam Adelson. At some point they will all have to answer for this, but you should know their names now.

Jacquijacq's avatar

Missing from your list: Lindsey Graham who seems to be drooling he’s so excited for war

Politico Phil's avatar

So proud of the few courageous journalists (mostly independent) who are speaking truth to power — Candace, Ian Carroll, Max Blumenthal, Glenn Greenwald, Jeffrey Sachs, etc. .

This propaganda that Americans are divided on supporting Israel’s war on Iran is an insulting LIE.

Charlie Kirk, Mr. MAGA, and Mr. Turning Point USA, who has a huge conservative audience, was putting up some polls on X last night. 90% of his audience were opposed to this war (and opposed to US getting involved in Israel’s war).

Trump’s parody account (which reportedly Trump controls) posted this this morning.

Following Amir Tsarfati on Telegram would be the best thing you could do for reliable info on the Israeli attack on Iran & Iran's response. The reason there were so few missles launched is because Israel took out Iran's missle launchers initially.

Alice in Wonderland's avatar

No entry for Amir on Wikipedia, which I find interesting. I also see that They have cleaned up Their entry for CJ Hopkins (except for a legitimate slam at the very end ~ *if* it's a real quote) since he became so vocal about referring to Them as "the spooks at Wiki" a while ago. LOL (sorta ... ).

Abiding Dude's avatar

300 is so few? Col Macgregor has a far more logical take... Iran launched a ton of their OLD TECH missiles... so Israel would burn up most of its air defense weapons...

Just wait until Iran launches their NEW TECH missiles... hypersonics that Israel can NOT defend against...

It will be wonderful to see Israel take a major beating!!

Didn't Biden release $8bn to Iran a couple years back? I seem to remember that was an odd thing to do.

Remember "Bongo-lips"?? My waters do not always run deep. ;-)

I never heard that before. I heard some people call him "Obamanation" like abomination. Hey, wanted to ask you, do you think the cause of that plane going down was pilot error or some kind of sabotage?

Judging Freedom- Judge Napolitano’s YouTube channel- is a great source for good military and Intel reporting. All of his regular guests are solid patriots. They lean conservative, but they make no excuses for bad behavior on either side. They are America First (not Israel First). Also Glenn Greenwald’s daily System Update. I like both of these, because they limit them to about 25 minutes each.
