DeSantis: “Now, people have asked me: ‘Is FEMA going to do this?’ Let me be clear in Florida. We run the show. FEMA is not running the show. We will utilize them to support some of the things we’re doing, but you are not going to see FEMA running amok in Florida. I know that’s been out there on the internet. That is not going to happen. I’m the sheriff that’s in charge here. And we will make sure to protect you. Don’t worry about it.” DeSantis had already issued an Executive Order clearly stating that people would quickly be allowed to return to their homes. Clearly, he was saying "we will make sure to protect you" from FEMA.

I didn't connect these dots right away but when I was watching the post-hurricane coverage, I noticed that there were at least a half dozen sheriff cars blocking a bridge to the barrier island as personnel made sure it was safe to allow people to return to their homes which happened after a short time. I thought to myself, "Why so many sheriff cars on one bridge." I assume other access points were similarly manned by local sheriffs.

Then I remembered hearing unverified reports that FEMA had hired security firms who employ ex-military to send hundreds of personnel to FL to prevent people from returning to their homes by blocking off neighborhoods.

When I connected those two observations with DeSantis' press statement, it all made sense. DeSantis' language was calculated. He did not verify nor did he discount the FEMA rumors but his language was revealing: "Florida is taking the lead... FEMA is not running the show" and "you are not going to see FEMA running amok (!)... I AM THE SHERIFF THAT IS IN CHARGE HERE." He was clearly telling the Biden regime that if they tried to come into FL that he would invoke the Constitutional authority of the Sheriff and stop them. The show of force at the access points was to preclude any FEMA personnel from trying to come in and enforce a 'denial of area' operation. DeSantis drew a line in the sand against the Feds.

Unfortunately, I have not seen this in North Carolina.

Agree Phil and great point, his language was very calculated, particularly the sheriff stuff. Has any governor ever talked about the Feds like this in recent times? I can't think of any examples.

There was none of the standard platitudes and acquiescence local leaders usually spout when wanting federal money (i.e. Chris Christie to Obama on election day). He made it clear that FEMAs only role was providing assistance. They aren't in charge, they aren't calling the shots, all they have is a secondary support role. And if they can't stick to that then he will have them arrested.

The reason you haven't seen it in North Carolina is because it has a Democrat governor. Not only that, DeSantis actually understands these aren't normal times. The Feds act as a hostile occupying force, not a partner. DeSantis isn't a compromised milquetoast Republican like DeWine in Ohio and most of the GOP Senate.

Most states with Dem governors are screwed in an emergency. In some counties the sheriffs are selected & appointed by the county government. Happened in my blue county, people literally voted away any protection from our tyrannical gov. Our DEI sheriff is a useless lackey, and most of the 2 million in the county are clueless as to what that means.

We were put into a car, like the tourist trains at Busch Gardens, where you slide into a bench seat that holds maybe 4 across. There was a 'matron' yelling at us to hurry and get on the vehicle and we ALL MUST be on it or else. Very threatening. Did DeSantis also demolish the feds ability, through FEMA, to control the narrative, and even prevent the setting up of a permission structure here?

Anyhow, it's an Outstanding explanation here of how the dems keep their ranks close and tight. You can now add "permission structures" to your understanding of the dem dictionary for controlling narratives. In that dictionary you also find "created crisis" and not letting them ever go to waste.

Just think, We the People somehow, against all odds like in 2016 and against a much more perfect election manipulation machine, get Trump back in to the WH to de-claw and de-fang the tyrannical gov built by the globalists, the deep state, and the uniparty, leaving it ready to re-established by Vance and DeSantis as a government of, by, and for the people as it was always intended. And this time, maybe the people will actually do their part in "keeping the Republic"?

Expand full comment
Politico Phil's avatar

I think we have to realize that "the Republic" is lost. At least half the country is solid Marxist tyranny top to bottom and the ideology is supported by their brainwashed citizens. I don't have the prophetic ability to predict if a Trump Presidency can reverse this. However, it appears to me that the current trends can only lead to the eventual breakup of the country into multiple regional governments. Martin Armstrong's graphic about this is illustrative. This is all in the context of a collapsing empire, a Federal Gov't reaching fiscal limits that WILL bankrupt the Fed Gov't and an international situation that is pushing back on the USG empire and growing in strength daily, ie, the BRICS+.

Good observations. I'm not predicting anything but just observing that our side lost in the 1860s. The proto-NeoCon Lincoln waged 'unlimited' warfare on half of America using the slavery issue as an excuse resulting in the estimated death (not counting wounded and disabled) of 1.5 million Americans in a population of about 30 million. And this was against the southern states that had seceded and formed a separate confederation government for defense.

When and if the US breaks up, perhaps along the lines described by Martin Armstrong, the 'liberty states' will have to do a better job of organizing a defense. It will NOT be a bunch of individual Americans pulling their guns out of the closet and individually trying to defend themselves. Lethal individual self-defense is a last resort that probably will not turn out well against an organized aggressor. Location is key. If you are in a blue state, get out... while you can!

California has already imposed an unconstitutional, punitive "exit tax" to make it cost-prohibitive for a family to leave the state. At some point, it may become simply illegal to move out of state. Follow the example of a famous Austrian economist who held a professorship at the prestigious university in Berlin prior to WWII. When he saw the Nazis coming to power in Germany, he knew what was coming. He gave up his professorship over the objections of his peers who thought he was crazy, moved his family to a small rural town in the countryside and took a job teaching mathematics at the local high school. As a result, he and his family rode out WWII unscathed by the war and the predilections of the Nazis.

Right. The War of Northern Aggression of the 1860s was a secession just like the so-called Revolutionary War 85 years earlier which was a secession from the British Empire for breach of contract. As you pointed out, we may actually have a civil war on our doorstep if lawlessness takes over in this country and different groups start fighting to control the Government. One of many reasons the woke Marxists have imported tens of millions of aliens.

It is a hard blow coming to the point at which one realizes that even the pretense to a Republic is gone and 'a replacement system' has been substituted for the law, habits and customs of the old American republics. The erosion has taken more than a century and a half, which to say that not even Rome was destroyed in a day.

Maybe the states can reassert themselves to some degree, or maybe even to a large degree, but never be deceived. Because if the total command and surveillance apparatus is not totally dismantled, then the only thing which has transpired is that the steel fist has been concealed by the velvet glove.

And by the way, the great reversals we are now witnessing in any of the political dialing back? These are of tone and not of substance. This is because the people now orchestrating the reversals, the dialing back, are the same people who hatched up the Globalist One World insanity in the first place. Sure! In tone, the Western World may become more sane, less warring on its own people. But with the same Apex Elite in charge, it's just another stage production bait and switch designed to keep the masses dazzled and befuddled. Only the wrapper changes.

I saw all of this political theater, posturing and invincible ignorance in motion at the local, state level during the time frame of 2006 to 2014, my years of active political engagement. At first, I was totally baffled. Later on I came to realize that the distinction between a moral universe and the things of the world colors everything. And that pragmatism let loose willy-nilly in the world invariably kills off all virtue ... probably a little at a time. And over the course many years of the erosion of the soul is a large scale North Carolina river washout leaving a void where a bridge of reason once existed.

The pragmatism of the political bankrupts will cause them to place their own children Aztec-like on a great stone and permit them to watch the hearts of their own flesh and blood to be ripped out. And in the their blindness, they care not. Pragmatism when not morally directed is the ruination of the world. I've seen this kind of stuff first hand and it is hideous.

Worst of all, some of the elected don't have the a clue ... like the female delegate that wrote a proposed constitutional amending stating in section one the the Rights of the Parent were absolute, and then in section three states "... unless the state can demonstrate a high interest." To me the difference between section one and section three was glaring. As to what was in the head of the offering delegate is total bafflement. But I do believe looked into the eyes of the delegate, and behold, I saw the Great Void.

As to delegate in the above paragraph, she was probably handed this bit of constitutional travesty by some organized group, maybe some lobby or think tank ... was sold the promotion and unthinkingly ran with it. Why do I think this? Because we keep seeing the same stuff magically appear in all fifty states virtually with the same wording. And so the stage show is always also a magic show.

Maybe ... and plausible, very plausible as you say, but it also depends on what is periferal to the main ingredient, and these are things which are difficult for us lumps to see, detect and assess from a distance.

Bear in mind that the United States is already in the Failed State category. And bear in mind that any large scale domestic chaos would cause the category of 'failed' to shift over into the Glaringly Obviously Failed State slot. The rest of the world is watching and the rest of the world understands this. Equally so, the more astutely reckoning sliver of the world understands that under the right leadership that America has the resource base in energy, materials and technology to reinvent itself. And therefore, international bets are hedged. And yet, it is natural that they rest of the non-West will continue to gravitate towards strength, their strengths which shore up their own concerns of self-interest, self-preservation. Under new management, the United States could quite possibly be a contender. But NeoCon Commie Woke has to go ... and that is a tall order.

Other imponderables are to be had within the US military forces themselves. That is, just how much is the resolve of the 'high heeled officer corps' at the very top? And what if the Woke Top has no respect of and no support from the junior supporting officers once push comes to shove? And how subject are degenerate, pervert generals subject to blackmail? And therefore reversal of their present ideological 'commitments? That is, 'old strengths' like blackmail could become overnight 'not anticipated' weaknesses never thought of. And perhaps the Cretin Geniuses on the Potomac are not so smart after all in all of their Pretend Clever Cleaver Cleverness? And just perhaps the Ukraine proves this point. For example, I knew the day that SWIFT was weaponized and the Sanctions Parade began that the Ukraine Project was a total witless bust, and just one more Afghanistan debacle in the making. My only question is how many other people saw the same thing? I mean, such observation is not exactly rocket science! And now? And now that we are in something like the eighteen or so round of sanctioning ... and really? Well 'the really' is the only dependable thing. And that has been a non-stop conveyor belt of Insipid Clown Utterances from the Western World alleged-Leadership. Well, such things cannot go on forever. Stupidity, Fecklessness and Insanity eventual implode under a collapsing inertial energy.

By the way, the Russians have put down at least five Color Revolutions (CIA/Deep State) that I know of ... and quite possibly more. That is, the Covert Government's meddling has been no more successful when it comes to the Russians than are any of the captured government's endless wars. And that begs another question. How many endless wars does an empire have to lose before the entire political edifice of folly runs to exhaustion?

No predictions. And it all depends upon forces in play on balance. Right now, the roll back of Woke appears to be massively gaining steam. The Ukraine three years of debacle in the making certain tends to discredit NeoCon Commie Woke in a big way. The heart for 'more of the same' nationally seems to be decidedly on the wane. And the hurricanes, for example, sure put Feckless FEMA on the run, especially in Florida. And by overlaps, the rest of the entire Federal Behemoth. And so where does that leave us? At the next big hurtle ... Selection Election of 2024.

Great observations! And questions!

I think the American people can reinvent themselves and be a force to be reckoned with. America does have the resources and those resources are exactly what the Elite Banking system now want to rape but the American people are in the way. Thus the attempts to depopulate. On the flip side of that coin, I wonder about the apparent recruitment of a 2+ million man mercenary force by the NeoCon Commie Woke. (And what role the Chinese military-age men play in this I have no clue.) In their desperation to retain control, I don't doubt that they would activate such a force which would raise this conflict to a kinetic level.

The thing I don't see anyone talking about is the fact that everything the Woke USG does has a paper trail of formal contracts and financing that is contained in their computer tracking systems. The contracts are all contained in a centralized contract computer system that is maintained by the DoD and easily accessed. The DoD itself actually does very little. All the effort is accomplished by contractors who are tasked with building facilities (bases) and training the "new recruits". Think BlackRock.

As you say, the NeoCon Commie Woke have to go. Just how that is accomplished IS a tall order and unknown to me. But I think it will take more than an election. That will only be the trigger. "Push comes to shove" on Jan 20, Inauguration Day. They have to do something before then to derail their rejection by the American people.

I too have often wondered about the officer corp of the military. If the Biden administration has been unsuccessful in purging the Corp of the loyal elements then a Trump administration could provide the legitimate leadership needed to effect a cleansing of the DoD. There needs to be a severe purge and a few hangings for treason tried in open court for the whole world to see. That in itself would do much to assuage the fears of the Russians of a NATO attack. Of course, NATO needs to go too.

Like you, I have only questions. But we know enough to make us as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof. A reckoning is coming and it revolves around Jan 20 unless they openly steal or even prevent Nov 5. Buckle up.

Maybe the American people are somewhat in the way, and yet most are continually fooled. And being continually fooled, they can be fooled again and again with just a New Narrative being trotted out ... and their empty stomach being filled up again.

The real obstacle to the survival to the Apex controllers of wealth and power is the rogue gone loose Woke cannon faction of the Uni-Party. The Rs will and already are starting to fall in line with The New Program.

Nothing though is for sure, and we will just have to see. And even if all comes crashing down the old usual suspects with the $$$s will pick up the pieces and reassemble the puzzle once again. And the herd will fall once again in line. It would take a new Reformation to do anything else.

Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep, by being of the same mind toward one another, not being haughty in mind, but associating with the humble. Do not be wise in your own mind. Never paying back evil for evil to anyone, respecting what is good in the sight of all men, if possible, so far as it depends on you, being at peace with all men, never taking your own revenge, beloved—instead leave room for the wrath of God. For it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This is a tough one for us today but so timely! With all the righteous anger we are all feeling it’s very easy to cave to its forces by reciprocating the hate thrown at us. I find myself getting snarky and insulting people in ways I never would have before. In my mind I’m fighting evil, and I do believe we are supposed to fight evil, but not using the same tactics and words that they do. There are a variety of ways to fight back - and their methods are a drop in that bucket. I don’t feel we should lie down and allow others to walk over us, but I do feel we need to find a way to defend ourselves that allows God’s vengeance to come through rather than our own.

I wonder if I can be successful at this given all the rage I feel deep down?

My teenager and I had a great conversation today based on this. He’s gotten better lately, but he used to tell me, “You shouldn’t say that!” to certain things I said. And my response to him was always, “Who do you think you are to police my speech? Stop it.” I’ve always told him to ask questions. Why shouldn’t you say it? Is it true? If it’s true, why can’t you say it? What could happen if you say it anyway? Would it be worth the fallout to say what’s forbidden?

I love Jeff’s commentary and I love sharing it with my child, who is increasingly contemplating heavy issues. At times, I despair and think he will be lost because the influence of the world around him is so powerful. But at other times, like today, I am hopeful. He seems to understand and is working his way through all the noise and nonsense.

Your comment reminds me of a conversation I had with my sister recently. She said her young adult children (early 20s) are constantly admonishing her for her speech saying, "Mom, you can't say that. It's not allowed now." My sister is feisty and always responds, "who says?" or "I'll say what I want to say." You're right, though. The brainwashing is real and standing up against it is uncomfortable. I think the biggest mistake I made with my older kids (less so with my youngers) is providing them too comfortable of a life. I always looked for ways to defuse conflict and never forced them to wrestle with tough questions or complicated issues. Now, they can't handle even gentle probing or interrogatories.

Reminds me of a close family members twin sons. They thought they were raising them to be smart, conservative, deep thinking boys, but sent them to public schools... where they had to "fight" intellectually to be heard. Well, then their rich great aunt paid for college at Georgia Tech where they completely forgot their conservative "battles" and are now full fledged marxists.

That’s my concern. He wants to go to college. We’re not paying for it, so if he wants it, he’ll have to figure out a way to pay for it himself, and not through loans either. He wants to pursue mathematics, so my only consolation is that math and engineering schools aren’t as likely to be ruled by leftist standards. But I know it’s still present.

Robin,

Congratulations 🍾 Have fun! I planted purple asters and yellow marigolds in one of my flower beds yesterday. Need to weed and (hopefully) plant snapdragons in with my zinnias today. I did simple Halloween outdoor decorations this year -mostly solar lights. I was probably a crow in a former life because I love a little glitz.

Sarahanne25, LOL, that is funny, but I get it!! I have glitter in my veins!! Sprinkle a little here and a little there, everywhere I go! CHRISTmas is my jam though!! I can't wait to put up all the sparkly!

Roman, me too on the sunrise! And I am trying to follow your advice and let the sun be my first light of the day!! Nowadays, I do not wear my sunglasses most of the time. I often do not wear shoes outside. No sunscreen. I am old enough to remember in my youth, there is no way my parents were going to lather us in sunscreen and purchase us sunglasses. And I grew up in the south....on a farm. Outside all day, every day! Love your stack...keep up the good work! Planting that will probably be tomorrow. Today is trimming, weeding and prepping!

BBS- I’ll take ANY kind of toxic masculinity, hillbilly or otherwise. I’m in Texas so we have a few cowboys, farmers, ranchers, drilling rig workers, and Texas Rangers! Real men, the way God intended men to be.

Interesting observation the other day…we live in the country and drive by a field with a little donkey family. We’ve enjoyed watching them as the female just gave birth to her baby a couple of months ago. I drove by yesterday and they were close to the fence so I pulled over to snap a picture…the mama and baby ran off a little way, but the male ran right up to the fence - because he’s the protector! Even the animal kingdom displays this truth.

Years ago we were vacationing on a remote NC beach where we happened across a wild horse giving birth. She was accompanied by at least 8 or 10 other horses and the minute they thought we were a threat, they immediately surrounded her, and we knew , in no uncertain terms, that we were trespassing and to get the hell out. I am overwhelmingly in awe, grateful , respectful, and filled with love for the simple beauty of nature.

Email I received from Duke Energy:

As we continue to recover from the historic and devastating impacts of Helene, we wanted to take a moment to express our appreciation for your support and patience in the storm’s aftermath.

Helene’s devastation was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. The storm damaged a significant portion of the electrical system, including transmission towers, substations, utility poles, power lines and other major equipment.

We have restored power to more than 2.6 million customers in North Carolina and South Carolina. This restoration is a true testament to the tireless efforts of more than 21,000 storm restoration personnel from the U.S. and Canada who worked across the Carolinas.

And yet, our work is not done. In the North Carolina mountains where power outages remain, floods and damaging winds have destroyed roads, bridges, homes and businesses. A dedicated western North Carolina facility will serve as our base of operations while workers continue rebuilding the infrastructure needed to restore the remaining customers impacted by Helene. We will collaborate with national, state and local government stakeholders from this location to help ensure we remain coordinated in our efforts.

As our restoration advances, we will provide regular updates on our newly launched North Carolina mountains power restoration webpage at duke-energy.com/HeleneRecovery. This will be a long process and we will not stop until the job is complete.

From the thank-you signs in front yards to homemade cookies delivered to our base camps, we are humbled by your support and inspired by the resilience and determination of communities coming together to support one another during this challenging time.

Thank you again. It is a privilege to serve you.

Government...such a waste on so many levels. Actually ultra hot cayenne tincture can stop heart attacks. It is excellent for heart problems. I take a few drops every day in water. Happy to see moderna stock falling some more. About three years ago it was near $500. See, not even murder pays well anymore.

I live in a rural area of Canada. Some years back, neighbourhood kids came running in reporting a fox behaving strangely.

Likely rabies.

Officials: call the Ministry of Natural Resources. It's a weekend. They may have someone out by Tues...

Dad from the block: <<BLAM!!>>

Official: Yeah. Nevermind...

I bet said dad could build bridges, too.
