My internist also said you can't get just the tetanus - it has to be the troika. I stopped by a local ER to ask them if I could just get the tetanus shot and they had no idea. They had to ask around the whole staff and came back the same answer: no, it has to be the troika.
That is the standard answer for literally every situation these days; those who *should* have a clue just simply don't. Like ever. It doesn't seem to matter where I go and I have a related question to the place I'm standing in - no one knows anything these days. Recent story (last week, actually) as an example: I headed to the local nursery to pick up some started non-gmo veggies for my garden since my summer crops continued to thrive longer than anticipated. I looked all over the place for the veggie section until I found it. None of the items were labeled non-gmo so I inquired with the employee in the area. He gave me a deer-in-the-headlight look. I actually had to explain what non-gmo was. So I drove to another nursery - same story. These folks, working in a garden nursery have no clue what GMO is?
Prayer would be the only way, I tell ya! I mean the masses have always held at a lower than average intellect but there are so many, many more of them than even 100 years ago. And then one adds in other factors and the collect intellect drops further down the mineshaft. 😣
Same with animal shots. In discussing Titer tests for our dog as opposed to annual shots, he said all titers could be fine except for one, and it’s not possible to get a shot for just that one thing. So we declined all shots that day and moving forward.
People should read up on what makes a wound tetanus prone (obligate anaerobe). Most aren’t. And most EDs give DTaP shots to everyone with a scratch these days.

I took my daughter to my GP last week. She's 16 and I had heard the GPs aren't as in bed with the shots because they don't get paid for the number inoculated like peds do. So, they had access to her shot records and pointed out that she needed a DTap booster. I asked "why?" She said "because she plays sports so she might get injured." I'm imagining compound fracture or something thinking it must have to be a serious injury but she didn't elaborate and I didn't ask. So, I asked "and what happens if she doesn't get it and she gets hurt." The PA said "they'll probably recommend she get a tetanus shot." I sat there for many seconds waiting for the "and" but the silence was deafening. The PA finally says "so, did you want to get that shot." I just looked at her, "um no." So, we get to go back in about 2 weeks for the actual "physical" (which she needs to play varsity soccer) and I can't wait for it to come up again. Go ahead ask me again, make my day, do it, do it! I'm not sure who was the dumber person in the room but I kinda think it wasn't me. They really are drones aren't they?
I was in Walmart yesterday waiting for a prescription. Their sign said to ask about vaccinations and listed tetanus separately from diphtheria and pertussis, which were together. So I asked about the tetanus and the pharmacist said the three come in one shot. I asked why he had tetanus listed separately then and he did not even know the sign was like that! :)
I wish I would’ve seen this before I went head to head a couple months ago with my special needs daughters doc who I have zero respect for. She tried to push a tetanus shot. I refused. I’m her legal guardian. When she said why I simply said she doesn’t need it and there are other remedies if it were to happen. She was condescending and said no there arent’t and kept right on going. I decided not to push it further. I did have all my research on a paper in my purse to go head to head about the tetni bacteria not being a communicable disease etc etc.
I've had similar conversations with doctors with similar results. You know they're embarrassed about their lack of knowledge when they start bullying you.
My PCP bullied me about the Tetanus Booster. She had lived in Tibet earlier in her life and claimed to have watched someone die of tetanus and that it was a horrible death. Tying to create fear in me so I would take a shot of poison was a very unprofessional thing to do. But I must admit that my failure to fall in line with the traditional narrative must have flummoxed her. Keep educating the doctors.
I wonder how many women would join me in praying for a repeal of the 19th amendment? The biblical place for women is in the home. The impact of feminism is such a hazard that the slaughter of the preborn is a leading issue. Harris only appeared nervous for a split second when she would begin answering the economic question “are you better off now than you were 4 years ago.” It is appalling that - by far - what should have been the defining moment, at the outset of the telecast, for Pres Trump to articulate in 2 minutes why he should steer the ship going forward, he floundered onto the rocks so to speak, and continually crashed upon the shoreline throughout the night, slowly sinking in generalities as if caught off guard by Harris’ empty lies & vacuous bs, continually taking her bait that kept him on the ropes all evening.
Pres Trump did not lose the debate that wasn’t even close to resembling a debate. America lost last night.

Consider the NGOs that get our tax dollars to move these illegals, including religious organizations, or the replacement of American citizen employees with immigrants, both legal and illegal. Consider communities losing their schools and rec centers, converted to housing by local governments (with the help of tax dollars), or hotels that get paid to house immigrants - again, large tax dollars for the owners and detrimental to the other business owners who rely on tourism to stay afloat.
And what does the American citizen get? More crime, more unemployment, lack of services their tax dollars support, and the cold shoulder of captured local governments sucked in by taxpayer dollars from the federal government.

Yesterday, X was flooded with funny memes of Trump saving cats, dogs, and ducks. Mostly by "conservatives". I honestly don't know who's worse, the left or the right. It feels like they're purposely derailing the point. It's not just Springfield experiencing the overwhelming consequences of taking on thousands & thousands of illegal immigrants. In addition, the US has no moral standing regarding pets since millions are abandoned every year. Just yesterday, a huge animal hoarding situation was found near Houston with dead animals all over. I live in a rural area in NE TX where the dumping of pets is a daily occurrence.

So in the midst of that Trump did fantastic actually. Because he picks up on everything and normally would go into attack mode with glory. But he couldn’t, and he didn’t, restraining himself for our sake, so he used his time to speak to the actual issues. I’m seeing it different today.

The angle of the camera was above Trump’s head and Kamala’s position in the frame of the camera was higher and bigger than Trump’s. This made her appear stronger and more effusive than Trump. The clarity of lens was better for Kamala while Trump appeared out of focus, sorta like Joan Collins on ‘Dynasty’.

She did, through the ENTIRE debate she was constantly animated and making faces at him. I’d wager she spent about 80% of her time talking looking straight at him. It was brilliant that he never gave her the satisfaction to look at her. Even the reporter afterwards were like “why didn’t you look at her Trump?” So obvious they might as well have said “why didn’t you take her bait? Why didn’t you do what we all hoped you would do and look at her?”

I think Trump did quite well. Here's a NY Times headline: "Pundits Said Harris Won the Debate. Undecided Voters Weren’t So Sure." So Trump at LEAST battled to a draw.
He articulated that the election lawsuits were dismissed for technical reasons, never for lack of merit. And Harris bragged about the debacle in Afghanistan and bragged about negotiating with Ukraine and Russia - 3 days before Russia invaded.
I thought Trump under perrformed. There were so many missed opportunities to talk about facts like the over 300,000 missing children and his no tax on tips. Instead he kept repeating his lament of criminals coming over tge border.

What I found most alarming last night was how many conservative commentators were "shocked and appalled" at the blatant bias of the moderators. Good grief, where have they been for the last eight years? If the press behavior surprised them in any way then it demonstrates how blatantly unqualified they are in their positions of influence. There's only two explanations; either they are as naïve as children, or they are frauds. I hope it's the former but I have my doubts.
We have plenty of charlatans on our side and people need to be constantly wary. On one hand you have those who think it's still 1990 and that the other side are bound by norms and acting in some sort of good faith (well-intentioned but in error). Having said that, Trump shouldn't have agreed to this debate. He wanted to deliver a knockout blow to Harris, a woman who's ability to speak extemporaneously is worse than senile Joe Biden. His arrogance led him to believe he could win a 3-on-1 debate against a person spewing rehearsed answers to softball questions and two paid assassins armed with fake fact-checks.. That wasn't too bright.
Bill, IMO Trump should have agreed to a debate with a panel of US citizens asking the questions...how could anyone argue with that? And why as citizens are we not demanding that?

My internist also said you can't get just the tetanus - it has to be the troika. I stopped by a local ER to ask them if I could just get the tetanus shot and they had no idea. They had to ask around the whole staff and came back the same answer: no, it has to be the troika.
That is the standard answer for literally every situation these days; those who *should* have a clue just simply don't. Like ever. It doesn't seem to matter where I go and I have a related question to the place I'm standing in - no one knows anything these days. Recent story (last week, actually) as an example: I headed to the local nursery to pick up some started non-gmo veggies for my garden since my summer crops continued to thrive longer than anticipated. I looked all over the place for the veggie section until I found it. None of the items were labeled non-gmo so I inquired with the employee in the area. He gave me a deer-in-the-headlight look. I actually had to explain what non-gmo was. So I drove to another nursery - same story. These folks, working in a garden nursery have no clue what GMO is?

People should read up on what makes a wound tetanus prone (obligate anaerobe). Most aren’t. And most EDs give DTaP shots to everyone with a scratch these days.

I took my daughter to my GP last week. She's 16 and I had heard the GPs aren't as in bed with the shots because they don't get paid for the number inoculated like peds do. So, they had access to her shot records and pointed out that she needed a DTap booster. I asked "why?" She said "because she plays sports so she might get injured." I'm imagining compound fracture or something thinking it must have to be a serious injury but she didn't elaborate and I didn't ask. So, I asked "and what happens if she doesn't get it and she gets hurt." The PA said "they'll probably recommend she get a tetanus shot." I sat there for many seconds waiting for the "and" but the silence was deafening. The PA finally says "so, did you want to get that shot." I just looked at her, "um no." So, we get to go back in about 2 weeks for the actual "physical" (which she needs to play varsity soccer) and I can't wait for it to come up again. Go ahead ask me again, make my day, do it, do it! I'm not sure who was the dumber person in the room but I kinda think it wasn't me. They really are drones aren't they?

I was in Walmart yesterday waiting for a prescription. Their sign said to ask about vaccinations and listed tetanus separately from diphtheria and pertussis, which were together. So I asked about the tetanus and the pharmacist said the three come in one shot. I asked why he had tetanus listed separately then and he did not even know the sign was like that! :)
I wish I would’ve seen this before I went head to head a couple months ago with my special needs daughters doc who I have zero respect for. She tried to push a tetanus shot. I refused. I’m her legal guardian. When she said why I simply said she doesn’t need it and there are other remedies if it were to happen. She was condescending and said no there arent’t and kept right on going. I decided not to push it further. I did have all my research on a paper in my purse to go head to head about the tetni bacteria not being a communicable disease etc etc.

My PCP bullied me about the Tetanus Booster. She had lived in Tibet earlier in her life and claimed to have watched someone die of tetanus and that it was a horrible death. Tying to create fear in me so I would take a shot of poison was a very unprofessional thing to do. But I must admit that my failure to fall in line with the traditional narrative must have flummoxed her. Keep educating the doctors.

Dr. Stephens, I think there are other expenditures as well. Consider the NGOs that get our tax dollars to move these illegals, including religious organizations, or the replacement of American citizen employees with immigrants, both legal and illegal. Consider communities losing their schools and rec centers, converted to housing by local governments (with the help of tax dollars), or hotels that get paid to house immigrants - again, large tax dollars for the owners and detrimental to the other business owners who rely on tourism to stay afloat.
And what does the American citizen get? More crime, more unemployment, lack of services their tax dollars support, and the cold shoulder of captured local governments sucked in by taxpayer dollars from the federal government.

Yesterday, X was flooded with funny memes of Trump saving cats, dogs, and ducks. Mostly by "conservatives". I honestly don't know who's worse, the left or the right. It feels like they're purposely derailing the point. It's not just Springfield experiencing the overwhelming consequences of taking on thousands & thousands of illegal immigrants. In addition, the US has no moral standing regarding pets since millions are abandoned every year. Just yesterday, a huge animal hoarding situation was found near Houston with dead animals all over. I live in a rural area in NE TX where the dumping of pets is a daily occurrence.
Dumping of pets is epidemic in Puerto Rico, too. Our 2 dogs are rescues.

He was way too reactive to her jabs. His thin skin got the better of him last night.
At first I felt that way and then I realized nobody could have done any better in his shoes with that much coming at you from three people, and her nonstop, schoolyard bully, animated antics whenever he spoke. So in the midst of that Trump did fantastic actually. Because he picks up on everything and normally would go into attack mode with glory. But he couldn’t, and he didn’t, restraining himself for our sake, so he used his time to speak to the actual issues. I’m seeing it different today.
I literally only watched about 2 minutes of it near the beginning (happened to catch his stupid bragging about ventilators of all damn things would someone PLEASE tell him the ventilators actually killed people??) but more than that little braggadocio was her extreme dry mouthed “joyfully stated” BS nothingburger along side of the constant facial contortions and flopping around while he was talking—done I imagine to try to bother him as I’m sure he could see her in the corner of his eye—she looked (to me) like a moronic hysteric. Between that,the sound of her voice and the dry mouth I couldn’t take it more than 2 minutes.

I agree with you, I posted above that I thought Trump came off tired and unprepared. Granted, the moderators were ridiculous, but it’s ABC, Kamala’s BFF is the head of the network if I’m not mistaken. He should have known what he was getting into and been prepared so he didn’t get defensive. Defensive Trump is not the best Trump.
I didn’t watch but it seems to me his goal was to sway the undecided who are prob the ones always saying “he doesn’t act presidential”. I like brash Trump but last night I wasn’t his target audience.
The angle of the camera was above Trump’s head and Kamala’s position in the frame of the camera was higher and bigger than Trump’s. This made her appear stronger and more effusive than Trump. The clarity of lens was better for Kamala while Trump appeared out of focus, sorta like Joan Collins on ‘Dynasty’.
Did you notice that the panning of cameras were timed based on how Kamala emphasizing her behavior. I recall one time she was shaking her finger at Trump and at that moment the camera shot was a full screen of the both of them. Timing is everything...

I only saw a little bit of it (before listening to the Alex Jones etc post debate coverage on Twitter) and her obnoxious teenage expressions when he talked about how illegals were destroying our communities etc certainly did NOT help her with non-TDS sufferers or non-young female Swifties... IF she behaved that way all the way through the debate, I don't see who that appeals to... The same with canned polish rehearsed answers that I think most people are sick of hearing from politicians... Then again, I am not the demographic that she appeals to or wants to appeal to....
She did, through the ENTIRE debate she was constantly animated and making faces at him. I’d wager she spent about 80% of her time talking looking straight at him. It was brilliant that he never gave her the satisfaction to look at her. Even the reporter afterwards were like “why didn’t you look at her Trump?” So obvious they might as well have said “why didn’t you take her bait? Why didn’t you do what we all hoped you would do and look at her?”
Kamala made childish, horrible facial expressions the entire night, with a smile, like a sneering, mean girl who knows she has the whole class on her side and the teacher and won’t be called out. Imagine one of THEM and you will see what she did during the entire debate.
yes exactly! That sneering face is such a huge turnoff. I remember Hilary had that same smirk...the "I know I am better than you and everyone is behind me!" face. It did come back to bite Hilary. Because ultimately voters saw her as pompous and unrelatable. Let's hope it does that for Kamala.

I think Trump did quite well. Here's a NY Times headline: "Pundits Said Harris Won the Debate. Undecided Voters Weren’t So Sure." So Trump at LEAST battled to a draw.
He articulated that the election lawsuits were dismissed for technical reasons, never for lack of merit. And Harris bragged about the debacle in Afghanistan and bragged about negotiating with Ukraine and Russia - 3 days before Russia invaded.
I thought Trump under perrformed. There were so many missed opportunities to talk about facts like the over 300,000 missing children and his no tax on tips. Instead he kept repeating his lament of criminals coming over tge border.

I like that take! I sure hope he's right. I am praying people can see the through the lies. People don't seem to get it...this isn't about whether Trump is perfect or not, but he is the only thing standing between the globalists taking away all of our rights. If he wasn't they wouldn't be fighting him so hard. They wouldn't have tried to have him killed. I think that's why most of us are feeling sad, we fully realize a loss for Trump is not a loss for him, it's a loss for us.
What I found most alarming last night was how many conservative commentators were "shocked and appalled" at the blatant bias of the moderators. Good grief, where have they been for the last eight years? If the press behavior surprised them in any way then it demonstrates how blatantly unqualified they are in their positions of influence. There's only two explanations; either they are as naïve as children, or they are frauds. I hope it's the former but I have my doubts.
We have plenty of charlatans on our side and people need to be constantly wary. On one hand you have those who think it's still 1990 and that the other side are bound by norms and acting in some sort of good faith (well-intentioned but in error). On the other hand you have the perpetual doomers who argue we may as well quit now as all is lost. Both of these groups are poisonous, and at best are foolish, unserious people driven by emotions.
Last night was as predictable as the sun rising (in fact I did predict it in my comment yesterday responding to someone claiming Trump was going to destroy Harris). Trump lost a little ground, but all of the fundamentals are still on his side. Stay focused, work on your friends and family, and keep pushing forward.

Harris spoke well. She didn’t say anything but she delivered it well. Her podium was modified to make her appear taller. The moderators clearly had no wish to fact check her many lies. Trump was Trump. He missed many opportunities. No one who watched this debate will be influenced to change their vote.
She was a ghoulish liar, fake emotions, all the expected insults and disparagement, i hope my eyes and ears don't contract AIDS from it all. Her 4 years have been a disaster and now she and her Masters want 8 more years to complete the Killing of our Country.
At one point she actually said “…and I look forward to continuing that for the next 10-20 years…” and I almost burst into tears over the horror that would be.
I don't believe she spoke well. She repeated from memory the answers to the questions her campaign was given beforehand. Even her hand gestures were choreographed to her answers.
Having said that, Trump shouldn't have agreed to this debate. He wanted to deliver a knockout blow to Harris, a woman who's ability to speak extemporaneously is worse than senile Joe Biden. His arrogance led him to believe he could win a 3-on-1 debate against a person spewing rehearsed answers to softball questions and two paid assassins armed with fake fact-checks.. That wasn't too bright.

They've been conditioned to associate having children with low social status. Maybe one kid in your late 30s before you hit the wall, but that's it. Bigger families are for religious nuts living in trailer parks. Once they commit to that value system -- by choice or necessity -- they naturally tend to devalue having children. People naturally tend to prefer metrics that make them look good.
So it's not really about abortion per se; it's about valorizing childlessness.
What JOY is there in being childless - I saw my second grandsugar, Hannah, come into this world (with my own births...I was pretty much 'out of it' to view the whole process (smile)...but I can tell you when Hannah's little body emerged from her Mom's....my heart leapt with JOY and I wept uncontrollably.
