But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

"is that gender identity is an internal truth, then why does it need outward accessories — lipstick, wigs, earrings, and dresses — to be “validated”? Isn’t that just re-inscribing the very social stereotypes activists claim to dismantle?"

This is something that has bothered me since day one of the whole trans stuff. I'm female. I'm a multiskilled person, I cook awesome food, I sew without patterns, I fix cars, I own and drive a tractor, I'm equally at home in an oriental grocery store and the lumberyard. I wear no makeup, my hair is always up these days, used to be short most of the time, I do wear fun outfits for my own amusement, but my outfits are all very washable so I can fix someone's car in a parking lot and not care if I have to crawl under the car in a long skirt.

Why are people so intent on drawing lines about what is and isn't female in contradictory places and attempting to socially enforce all of them? I have a REALLY weird opinion on it: My talents, skills, work history, and wardrobe are NOT what define me as anything but ME. I get called sir by clerks on autopilot at the car parts place, it doesn't offend me, it tells me they didn't look up before they said "And what can I do for you ,sir?" It doesn't make me feel disrespected, it makes me laugh.

Why on EARTH does someone dressing like a showgirl or a stereotype 50's housewife make them think they are female? Why does flattening their tits make them think they are male? You know, you can drive a tractor with tits and you can cook with a beard, just saying. There is MUCH more to being a well rounded human being than what you wear or how much paint you put on your face.

I want to see more well rounded humans, more people with lots of skills and knowledge, more people being themselves, more people who are interesting and fun to talk to. You know, maybe we could start judging people by the content of their character instead of by their appearance. What a NOVEL CONCEPT. If those people spent HALF the time they spend obsessing about whether they look like a stereotype actually LEARNING SKILLS they might find out they don't CARE what's between their legs, it's NOT what defines WHO they ARE.
