This is another beautiful, just wow, verse. He "longs" to be gracious to us....He "waits on high" to have compassion on us. That's our Father. Oh, how I love Himπ
I actually shared it almost two years ago on here, but I thought it was worth reading multiple times! Such beautiful truth and lovely words: longs, gracious, compassion, justice, blessed . . .
"Itβs not atmospheric carbon dioxide. Whatever it is, it heated up the ocean depths, to the point that itβs making coral reefs unlivable for the crusty little critters:"
Finding NEMO is going to get more and more difficult.
For those who desire to hasten the inevitable return of the Lord JESUS
This is worth considering:
The Day of the LORD
β¦The great Day of the LORD is nearβnear and coming quickly. Listen, the Day of the LORD! Then the cry of the mighty will be bitter. That day will be a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and a day of horn blast and battle cry against the fortified cities, and against the high corner towers.β¦
βI will completely sweep away everything from the face of the earth,β
declares the LORD.
βI will sweep away man and beast;
I will sweep away the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea,
and the idols with their wicked worshipers.a
I will cut off mankind from the face of the earth,β
This makes me very melancholy bc God worked so hard to create all the beauty in the universe and all the animals and us. I have respectfully and with great emotion asked him to reconsider this and think of another strategy (I know He can). He did this once with a flood, that was enough destruction. I have asked God if He would consider making Himself more known in the world like in the OT/NT; burning bush, speaking to people, miracles etc in order to call more to Him that way. Some humans need more urging to find the path. I talk to Him about this all the time as I don't know how He can watch all He made so perfectly be destroyed yet once again. If God cries, that would be the time. Heavy sigh. I will continue to ask Him to please change His mind and strategize a different plan of action.
This is unimportant but I suggest you place a comma after the word βLaterβ otherwise it looks like you are saying later to Jay and not to everyone else. π
Lori, I understand your grief for the coming destruction. If there was another way, God would do it. There cannot be any other way than what he has prescribed in his word and that is what we find in the book of Revelation. It is written. Itβs as good as done. Your joy needs to be in knowing Jesus and knowing that he will take his church out before the 7 year tribulation. Then the thousand year kingdom. Then there will be a new heaven and earth without sin. Keep your eye on the kingdom.
I can understand the plea, but doesnβt God possess way more wisdom about everything than we do? I believe that passage is talking about the very end when God destroys the world (His people have already been rescued by then) and the will make a brand new heaven and brand new earth, for the former things are passed away.
Alas, you who are longing for the day of the LORD, For what purpose will the day of the LORD be to you? It will be darkness and not light;
Amos 5:18 (NASB95)
Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end [is] it for you? the day of the LORD [is] darkness, and not light.
Amos 5:18 (KJV)
I remember reading this for the first time and having to rethink the way some of the letters in the New Testament were ended with the word βMaranathaβ, meaning βcome quickly, Lord Jesusβ
Father God I lift up AD to you and ask that you crack open his heart to know Your goodness and Your mercy. To bring him such an overwhelming sense of Your presence that You are undeniable. Block out the lies he believes so he can hear Your truth.
I keep hearing about the "genocide" going on in Gaza. Can it be true? Are the muslims simply lying? I have seen no proof of it, only accounts of videos that may have been faked. Are they murdering their own people? Possibly.
By the way, the "Jews" are not "god's" "chosen people". Where do you get that? Oh, of course, some misinformed people claim that. The Biblical fact is that the twelve tribes of Jacob, also called Israel, are the people who Yahweh chose to make an everlasting Covenant with. The people today who are known as Jews are only of two of those Tribes - Judah and Benjamin. Further, Yahshua, the Messiah, was of the tribe of Judah, a Jew, and Paul/Saul was of the tribe of Benjamin.
Plus add in the converted Khazar kingdom, their king imported Rabbis from Bagdad and ordered all the people to become Jews approx 1100 ad, I forget the year. These are the eastern Jews from what is now the area of Ukraine
The Thirteenth Tribe book by Arthur Khostler, historian
It is true. Dave, watch the Tucker interviews with Mother Agapia, Tony Aguilar and John Mearsheimer. It is horrific and AIPAC needs to check themselves.
Hunga Tonga, it is HOT! I am SO over this heat and humidity. I do not know how construction workers, mailmen, roofers, highway workers etc. are doing it. God Bless every one of them.
re: "The climate has been changing ever since God created the World. It is the pinnacle of human hubris to believe that we (all the baffled science* experts*, fake media, and retard greta) know what the optimal global climate is, or to think we can somehow freeze that optimal climate into place without breaking everything else."
God and Jesus are consubstantial, one and the same. When I speak of one, I am speaking of both. I'm certain God/Jesus use Jeff as an Instrument of His Perfect Will because Jeff has submitted himself to God. So, I'm okay with JAW + TAW because GAW. A perfect formula which will cause our portlander "friends" to lose their already numb, psychotic, indoctrinated, terminal TDS minds.
Interesting word, βconsubstantialβ (meaning of the same substance or essence (used especially of the three persons of the Trinity in christian theology)) when a definition of substance is;
βthe real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence.β
(This definition doesnβt work with our concept of spirits)
It seems to me that the word βconsubstantialβ simply cannot refer to God, which should lead one to question the creed (belief) in which that word is used about God.
Trump is aligned perfectly as God wants him to be... it's all the naysayers who wish to change everyone's ideas in order to hurt our alignment with Trump and God. Trump knows perfectly well it is God who saved him at Butler and it is God who prepared him for 4 decades to take on the evil we have been and are being subjected to.
The climate has been changing ever since God created the World. It is the pinnacle of human hubris to believe that we know what the optimal global climate is, or to think we can somehow freeze that optimal climate into place without breaking everything else.
Exactly what Iβve been thinking. How does puny little man even begin to think he can change the climate of this world created by God in the vastness of time? Greta get a life.
Whenever I talk to people who spout climate change nonsense, I let them know that during the Triassic Period, CO2 was 7000 ppm with a 2ΒΊ difference in temperature. Itβs currently 440 ppm. Whether you believe in dinosaurs or not, the ones who push it do. They usually struggle to find an argument about that. LOL
The atmosphere was decidedly different before the Flood. But of course, "scientists" do not believe in the Flood, or Noah, or the Ark, or even a Creator for that matter.
The problem Lori, as you know, is these people have completely lost their minds and their way, they have succumbed to the evil of the world, they are vulnerable to the gas lighting which allows them to accept all the BS you mention. They need to repent. I know, I'm supposed to pray for them...
I believe that many may have neuro issues due to the jab and this perhaps can explain some of the appalling behavior. Some others are fanatics and thrive on mayhem. It is very hard to pray for those that commit such evils and break laws and are the antithesis to what is good and right in God's eyes. I explain to God that I am not able to pray for or love my enemies like fauci and all his ilk bc I loathe them. Perhaps in time but not now and probably not ever unless I see them held accountable for their insidious actions. I think God understands as He was human once.
Iβm working on a dry pipe fire sprinkler system replacement in a hotel attic this week in SLC. It is hell. Worse than my mission in SoCal (San Bernardino to 29 palms and Joshua tree) a few years ago.
Outside temps 100*+, attic probably well over 130 at peak of the day. We finally got approval to start work at 4am instead of 8.
Finally approved. Thank you but why couldn't big wigs thought of that sooner. π‘ Hubby worked construction. Health threats are real. We need men like you! Essential workers!
Worried about complaints from guests of noise. I understand. However, someone passing out in the attic and falling through the ceiling would probably have been a bigger deal. π€·ββοΈ
So does mine. When we lived in TX, he suggested to the company owner that work should start just at sunup (during a sweltering summer of 90 consecutive days well over 100Β°) and end before the hottest temps of the day. The owner didnβt see the point.
In the summer of 2020, my SIL and I were cleaning out my momβs attic. This was in the Central Valley of CA. The attic didnβt have A/C. We started around 7 a.m. and stopped around 10 - 11 a.m. Even still, I was drenched in sweat. My clothes were sopping wet. On top of that, thereβd been a rat/squirrel infestation and there was layers of crap everywhere. Those stupid surgical masks did nothing but make me hotter. I told my SIL that if we could survive that, nothing would kills us. LOL
I can only imagine, itβs bad enough trying to run in this (and itβs not even *that* hot although itβs incredibly humid) but Iβm only out for an hour or two max, so all day must be pushing you to the limits π Hang in there!
Indeed. Itβs the guest house on a university campus. This is the lowest traffic time of the year, so they want it done now.
The original system (installed by a different company than the one I work for) wasnβt pitched correctly and used the incorrect thin wall pipe, so the system rusted out in short order.
This is what the lowest bidet gets for you. But if you're elderly even the highest bidder might πͺ you. This is what's wrong with humanity. We all want more.
Does a dry pipe fire sprinkler system use PFAs? My husband works in a petroleum restoration program, and the funds for it are soon to be diverted to cleaning up the PFAs.
I donβt believe so. Theyβre just filled with air or nitrogen until a sprinkler trips from a fire and then water flows through the piping. Installed mainly in areas subject to freezing. The thread sealants usually include teflon.
Edit:
Upon further reading since I donβt know much about PFAs, teflon (PTFE) is related but not the same as PFA. Since itβs only used at joints, and generally sparingly, thereβs not much ptfe in a dry pipe system.
Up in the Panhandle of Texas we have not had many blistering hot days! The grass is still green and by this time in summer it is usually already brown! Although we can never get too much rain up here! Waiting for more and thanking God for what we have already received!
Yeah just drove through there and NM, TX and OK were/are very green. We were jealous in AZ mtns until a couple days ago we finally started getting our rains.
Humidity actually moderates extreme temperatures. This is why low humidity Las Vegas regularly has 110 F summer days but high humidity Charlotte, NC rarely exceeds 95 F.
At a local music festival last weekend here in the UK, a young man (after much partying) went to sleep in his plastic tent. He never woke up. The temperature in his tent midday had reached over 130 degrees.
Hello neighbor (Southern NM here) - it is so nice to see so much rain so early in the season too. Poor Ruidoso, they are suffering though- I hope the officials are thinking more long term now - since whatever they did last year didnt help.
I dug into the story of the flooding in Ruidoso, as we had stayed there several times back when we used to do an annual ski trip. (Ski Apache) Loved the area, although the road to the ski resort gave me anxiety, lol. Commenters noted that the NM gov has been screwing with the weather. https://www.ose.nm.gov/ISC/isc_weather.php
I'm in deep East Texas, about an hour drive from the Louisiana border and the humidity is THICK here as wellπ₯πI'm looking forward to those September, fall breezes soon!
I was born & raised in AZ & can only handle a dry heat (or humidity) & NM is same. Hats off to you gals because I couldnβt handle the type of humidity yβall get!
Iβm in north Texas and we are like you in El Paso. I can even take a mid morning walk and not feel like Iβm going to pass out. Although much more humid than usual and we keep getting rain That wasnβt forecasted. Was recently in Venice, Italy, and was looking forward to being back in a less humid place, then walked outside and felt like I was still in Venice. Iβve been here for almost 30 years, and we were always lucky to get any rain in July or August. In fact I was usually hoping for a small tropical storm in late August to move rapidly from the gulf to give us some relief. I was just thinking the other day that it was likely that all the water spewed into the atmosphere from Hunga Tonga might explain the unprecedented rain here, and flooding in the hill country. Or at least contributed to the severity. And then Jeff posts this today.
Dallas Fort Worth areas temperatures have been lower this summer too but way more rainβ¦ almost weekly and in the month of July thatβs a little bit unusual
I used to read a lot of apparitions and "end times" prophecy, and I don't remember where I read it, but...one of the "signs" was that mild climates would become hot and hot climates would cool...
Itβs been so humid here that itβs rained almost every day lately, feels kind of like Florida only a little cooler overnight (in the low to mid 70s rather than upper 70s and low 80s).
Yeah the humidity is awful. I'm outside a lot plucking Japanize beetles off my grape vines and peach trees to feed my hens, and I tell myself as I walk about, "Just embrace it, Shayne." Sometimes it works. ππ
shayne - I so wish I had some hens to feed. And peach trees, lol. The last time I had a dozen hens they would gorge themselves on crickets in the yard, in the flower beds, and along the foundation. That was when I lived in a small house in the country. Even where I am now I used to have lots of crickets and grasshoppers, but they are very noticeably lacking the last couple years.
So glad you finally got some rain! Someone has place a bubble over my little town in Upstate SC. Rain every day around us, but it passes to the north, or south, or falls apart as it nears us. We have had just over half an inch total in the last 30 days. This morning I hauled something like two dozen watering cans out of our nearly empty creek to water my gardens. I'm exhausted.
Military, police, medical, firemen...They are young. They need to learn old survival techniques. It is very good for young men to work. They are not victims but survivers. Thank you to all!
"Climate Change: Alarmists ignore how changes in the Sun and Earth's motion dwarf CO2's power; ignore major cooling forces; suppress highly qualified dissenters; and alter dataβall to hype CO2 hysteria"
Yesterdayβs weather in Rapid City, SD was the coldest on record. 58 degrees surpassed the 1950 temperature, on July 16th, of 63 degrees. So, Iβm looking forward to the heat coming back.
I enjoyed (weird word to use for this subject) article then and now. I learned a lot from the Ethical Skeptic as well.
I have a background in Oceanography. We learn how the water currents and wind currents intertwine. Mess with one, you mess with the other.
It drives me crazy that folks donβt understand that we are in a closed system. If you push one area, another area will feel the effects. Equilibrium. Tge system has to cone back to balance.
Our entire world, nay the universe itself is founded upon this principle. Makes me think of this Thomas Sowell quote:
βThere are no solutions; there are only trade-offs.β
This plays out in infinite ways we donβt fully appreciate or understand. And itβs doubly infuriating when many deliberately stick their head in the sand.
My mom quoted a saying often as I grew up, and itβs stuck with me my whole life. βThere are none so blind as those who will not see.β
People discount the anomalies in the earth's solid core, the fact that it is not a perfect sphere. Thus, they ignore that it is subject to the Dzhanibekov effect and could tumble based on the non-uniformity of its moment of inertia around its axes.
And if the solid core is tumbling, it will create shear in the molten core. The result is circulation, that will bring hotter material to the surface. The rate of rotation is also subject to change, since angular momentum is conserved.
This explains the heating of the ocean floor, and recent news articles about changes in the length of the day.
This is all "in your face" evidence that global climate is not man-made. For this reason, it will never be acknowledged.
Just one more layer of obfuscation that there is a God and He is in control. The closer we get to Jesus' return, the clearer the eschatology will be. Daniel was told to seal up the book until the time of the end. As we approach the time of the end, I anticipate we will see more clarity, if we look with humility and put aside the pride of holding an opinion because we are afraid to be held in low regard.
For decades I never questioned the "science". I once took a great one semester course called Earth Science. I've always been fascinated with geology, geography, volcanism, meteorology, etc. The problem is that much of it is based on theories. The "theory" of evolution, in my mind, has been proven false, and is a cult following. Clearly, all the evidence shows a created Earth and a Creator being.
There is no proof that the earth has a solid core. There is no proof that oil is derived from the remains of dinosaurs. In fact, many scientists now believe in abiotic oil, that it's an abundant resource, not a finite "fossil fuel".
However, I did believe all my life, for decades, until about two years ago, that the earth was a spinning globe orbiting around the sun. There is no proof of that either, but much evidence to the contrary.
So I give the Creator Yahweh credit for creating this stationary plane earth, and for placing it in the closed system with our atmosphere above, our oceans and land masses, and subsurface underneath, which does include the undersea volcanoes. No wonder the Hunga Tonga event has caused such a disruption, it increased the water vapor in our "terrarium" by a great degree.
Yes! Thanks Dave! I, too, posted my response before reading yours. π€ For anyone whoβs interested, or has an open mind, here is the single best Bible-based flat Earth website, compiled by the late, great brother in Christ, Rob Skiba: https://testingtheglobe.com/bible.html#2
Makes perfect sense! I am sure we learned that in school at some point but may have not 'stuck' since I have lived my whole life FAR from any oceans. (MO obviously, lol)
Closed system??? Thatβs the only thing that explains why the Hunga Tonga water vapor, never mind our entire pressurized atmosphere, doesnβt get sucked off the Earth by the supposed 1Γ10β17 torr vacuum of space.
I thought I was well-read and could connect the dots.
Jeff, you are a human etch-a-sketch!
I had never heard of Hunga-Tonga - and now that I've "seen it" - all else makes a lot of sense ( though weather warfare and laser weapons have been used across the country- no where more so than La Hainia, North Carolina, Texas & the Pacific Palisades. In CA, in particular they've been lighting us afire since 2019 - not gaslighting - laser igniting).
Great callback to a great article, hope your vacation is fantastic and weather-drama free.
Itβs one of Jeffβs posts where I have it in a special place saved on my iPad. I have sent the original around a few times. I get no responses however. The science sense it makes is too much for some I figure. Sad.
I estimate that 70% of the U.S. populace are ostrich-like - heads in the sand. People like Jeff and other freedom fighters and truth tellers - are slowly making that number smaller- but we're in a race against time. Then, we have to change KNOWLEDGE - into action - because knowledge without action is the most trivial pursuit there is. Changing people from witnesses to brave participants may be the most important human alchemy that we ever undergo as a species.
Only 70%β¦I fear it is much higher than that, or if 70% is true, then 10+% of the non-sheeple are on the evil side of the team and are actively trying to destroy the world governments and usher in the end times one world government, and many of them thinking what they are doing is for good and not evil, too. We live in crazy times.
I think it was stratospheric water only. The Olympic swimming pool analogy is weak too. How about 1% of Lake Erie or something like that. Probably more like 0.0001% or less.
Thank you for rerunning this C&C post. For one thing, we need to remember that the experts are either mostly baffled or not interested since it defies their preferred narrative. Maybe thatβs for the best and will prevent them from trying to find one of their stupid solutions to all of the water vapor in the atmosphere. Iβm imagining theyβll decide to build giant dryers and send them into space, or maybe send up billions of moisture absorbing materials (Kotex in space?).
Good article! As soon as I saw the Honga Tonga water vapor explosion I told my housemate "This doesn't fit with their narrative, it's not going to be talked about anywhere." And here we are. It's still being ignored, and it's still affecting the weather.
I totally agree with the idea that we are flying blind as far as earth changes, but a lot of that blindness is closing eyes and hoping it goes away. Example is the Pacific Northwest of the US and Canada. They will happily say "The mountains were formed by plate tectonics" but seem stunned at the idea that that area is still moving, and when you see the pictures of one plate sliding under another, and the mountains growing and volcanoes going off, that also means they have not stopped. There have been earthquakes and volcanoes in that area for millennia, why would anyone think it would stop just because people we know live there?
I'd love to see a lot more actual non-politicized earth changes talked about in the mainstream. So few people know about this, and the mass of people listen to the dramatic news with no context. Yes, the flooding in Texas was terrible and killed a lot of people. I agree with the news on that. But if you look at the topography of the area, the Guadalupe basin is a drain, it's a valley that was made by repeated flooding like this. We have the technology to acquire and understand this information, why does it seem that it's not common knowledge? If the weather events are becoming more extreme, perhaps looking at what the historical extremes were in an area, going back hundreds of thousands of years, would give us ideas about how to mitigate damage now. Look at your own area in geological time frames and topographical current maps. What happened in that area? What might be coming up again?
Thank you for mentioning the PNW - I saw a chart just a day or so ago, showing increasing activity around Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens (remember her?) and Mt. Adams. I have lived most of my life in the South Puget Sound region and there has been much discussion over the years of the "Big One" earthquake (9.something) triggering an eruption of Mt. Rainier and possibly causing a chain reaction of the other mountains, as well.
Jeff, if the Western side of the Cascades were to be destroyed (Seattle, Olympia, Everett, etc.) maybe Eastern Washington would have a chance, politically speaking. We always breathe a huge sigh of relief when we cross Snoqualmie Pass heading east. It is as if a huge burden is lifted off our shoulders.
Yes, I have had a few moments of *uh-oh* in Spokane, but we have family there, so we pray for safety and keep our heads on a swivel when we go see the girls.
We would love to join you in Idaho! I truly wish that the whole "Greater Idaho" movement would become a reality, as I love the PNW and don't really want to leave, but the "Inland" Northwest is beautiful and has so many wonderful qualities that we love! We continue to look at listings in Idaho. A complicating factor is our aging mamas, who are needing increasing help; that issue is not going to lessen in the coming years.
Many people in ID do not want the states to βmergeβ. I donβt agree. I think the people and land of the eastern PNW are spectacular. Imagine how wonderful it would be if all this (ex-Spokane and Ontario!) were one state. It may happen; but before it does we may be wishing for these days, now. So enjoy the day!
All those lovely hot springs up in that area (I LOVED the ones in the mountains above Grant's Pass!) means this is a volcanic area, expect earthquakes and volcanoes. It will happen, it's how that area works. Just a matter of when, might be sooner, might be later.
And since the magnetic field of the earth is shifting, I'd put MY money on "sooner." And when I moved, I ruled out a lot of areas for things like that. I'm not in volcano territory. We have good data these days, if we are willing to use it intelligently. There's 70 years of tornado tracking info on the net, it's really obvious when you look at it where the patterns are, that they tend to walk the same lines (interestingly, in Missouri, at least, they walk the interstates) and 20 miles off that line will rarely get hit.
We HAVE good information available, it's a matter of if we choose to use it.
I can say as a native northwesterner we are more than aware about plate tectonics and them shifting in our area as much as we are aware of the devastating fires we have every summer. Our eyes are not closed to it. Itβs part of living. There is no place on this earth you can live and not have natural disasters or disasters waiting to happen. You just choose which ones you wish to deal with. Iβd rather live here where we get an occasional earthquake and maybe the βbig oneβ one day that they keep crying about. Not much we can do if it does come.
But in the meantime we are virtually flash flood free, hurricane and giant tornado free(we get rare small short lived ones), large insect and cataclysmic snowstorm free. You pick your poison so to say, and I can deal with fires and rare earthquakes (where I live anyways) if it means the bugs are small and the weather is generally mild and pleasant overall with zero to minimal humidity. Donβt assume we live here in blissful ignorance of the dangers. We choose to live here because we love it here and are aware life is full of danger and we arenβt afraid to face that reality and keep living. Just as we all are country wide. I get your point broadly, itβs just it may be a bit too narrow. Some places are obvious dangers to live, some just potential dangers we have to learn to live with. Itβs part of life.
PNW was just an example people would probably know about the tectonics of the area.
They are interesting all over the world, and it's fascinating to learn about the area we are each in, and see what actually is the major hazards, both long term (volcanoes) and day to day (less snow, few bugs) in an area, so they can be chosen with open eyes.
And yes, I'd vote one possible huge on vs a lot of small day to day ones might be a good decision.
I was in Brownsville TX for several months and I was surprised to learn that this fairly large city is built right in the middle of the Rio Grande delta which was a flood plain before we built dams like the Hoover Dam. Just saying....
Resacas. Large Mosquitoes and large cockroaches and yellow fever and one good Trump red Representative Monica de la Cruz. Border of huge city Matamoros- kill the Moors. All the US cash registers have drawers for both dollars and pesos.
Right. I think Brownsville is like 90% bi-lingual Mexican/Americans. As a rare gringo, I got a lot of attention. It was a fun place. Oh... and flocks of parrots and other large birds.
And HOT! I thought FL was hot but FL ain't got nuthin on Brownsville. It's like being in an oven. And the wind is almost constant.
Wouldnβt this result in increased humidity around the globe? Has anybody tracked the humidity of cities in the United States to see if they are significantly up since then? If anybody finds anything on that, please post!
I would think that would be the case too. And why not more widespread precipitation? It seems to be concentrated in certain areas right now. Iβm just jealous because we are dry as a bone right now in our now βtypicalβ Oregon summers. Not how they were when I grew up here though!
Clem, your question is answered very clearly in the Bible. Most people are very familiar with John 3:16. Read a little further, to John 3:18, which says βWhoever believes in Him (the Son, Jesus Christ) is not condemned, but whoever does NOT believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.β
Hugh Ross is an astrophysicist wrote a book called Why the Universe is the Way It is, explaining what had to be in place for our universe to exist. Spoiler alert - there had to be Divinity involved (major simplification on my part.)
I just finished listening to a fantastic interview of Lee Strobel by Shawn Ryan yesterday (it was from last Christmas) and in it they talk about how much all the science fields prove the existence of an intelligent God, and most physicists laugh at the theory that it was spontaneous. They cover so much in that interview and all the topics were so interesting.
Thank you, but I guess I don't believe in that particular book of stories which seems contradictory at times and doesn't always make logical sense. I don't believe God had a chosen son and that this son needs worship like some kind of egotistic leader (or you wind up condemned!). We are ALL children of God. So I choose to believe other stories. I guess since no one truly knows, all stories are as good as any others. You were raised with bible stories so you find comfort in that. Like I said, we'll all wind up in the same place in the end and then we can all do it again with new stories to follow.
We donβt just pray for people who are βbad personsβ. I just had the entire C&C community pray for me and my son last week, and Iβm not considered a bad person either. Prayer changes things.
God said βAgain I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.β
So β¦ if we really love others enough we should want them to know the truth about God and His word. And we pray that God will pursue them relentlessly until they do. Iβm hoping others here see the power of our prayer in reaching your heart, because only God can reach you, whether youβre good or bad has nothing to do with it. Technically we are ALL bad. Lol
Thereβs more proof about the authenticity of who Jesus was and is and why, as well as the legitimacy and reliability of the Bible than there is any other historical document on this earth or any other person who ever lived. Itβs mind blowing the amount of evidence we have. I pray that you find out just how much evidence there is, and you donβt need to βchooseβ which book to believe because itβs as real as the nose on your face. It would be like saying you choose to believe that tree in your yard is real. You donβt have to choose to believe it is if itβs actually, physically there! Lol Of course I understand that thinking about choice when talking about words/books that were given/written by mere men.
Hereβs an author that lays out the evidence so clearly. Start with the Case for Christ, because EVERYTHING hinges on that.
Iβm praying for you, Cousin Clem! For many years I believed much as you do, but God opened my eyes and heart to the truth. PLEASE, please take Jujuβs advice and read βThe Case for Christβ by Lee Strobel. Itβs an old book but Iβm so glad itβs still in print; it answered so many of my questions. What have you got to lose?
I think youβre right to question modern Christianity, even though I am a devout Christian. While the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) is the best critically-attested ancient text in history, it has gone through many revisions, mostly having to do with books that were deleted from the canon (Enoch, Jasher, Jubilees, etc.), but thereβs also very good evidence that the Rabbis tweaked the Masoretic text in the centuries after Jesus was crucified to try to disprove his claim of being the Messiah. It is from the Masoretic text that most Bibles are translated.
So, itβs a good idea to read the Bible that Jesus (real name Yashua) actually read and quoted from, the Greek Septuagint.
Most Christians will tell you that the Bible is all about Jesus, Old and New Testament alike. Thatβs true, but the real question is, WHY? Whatβs been going on with humanity that necessitated a Messiah? Thatβs the $64,000 question (Iβm aging myself π), and thatβs the subtext and backstory that connects all the books in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
The answer is: Genetics. Itβs right there in the name of the Bibleβs very first book. There is a βseed warβ happening on Earth, and itβs been going on since God created Adam in His Image. See Genesis 3:15.
Short version: Godβs Image, i.e. Adamites, are here to βsubdue and take dominionβ over the Earth because it has been corrupted and destroyed by fallen angels (Watchers). Genesis 1:28 β βBe fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.β
Notice the words REPLENISH, SUBDUE, and HAVE DOMINION. If the Earth were perfect at that early stage of the story, there would be no need for those commandments. There is no need to βsubdueβ and βdominateβ something that is not a threat to you.
Adamites were originally put here by God to help rescue the Earth. But their genome was corrupted by the enemies of God who were already here. THIS is the reason we need a Messiah. Jesus is called the Second Adam. 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 β βFor since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.β Adam was never intended by God to die. But the blood of Christ (read: GENOME) rectifies that problem. His blood is the vaccine against eternal death.
If you have problems believing in Jesus, I recommend doing a deep dive into the Shroud of Turin. Many non-believing scientists have looked at this thing in recent decades, and no one can explain it. In fact, it has made Believers of more than one atheist scientist. This interview is a good place to start: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OElbxDPsqpw&t=417s .
This is also an excellent website: https://shroud.com/. This website was created by Barrie Schwortz, the Official Documenting Photographer for the Shroud of Turin Research Project in 1978. He was a non-practicing Jew who eventually became a Christian because of the Shroud.
It's not really one book. It's a collection of books, various "authors" over hundereds of years. "Contradictions" might not be surprising; but there is no contradiciton in Jesus' teaching.
I fully believe that the Bible never contradicts itself. If you find what seems like a contradiction, chances are that you and/or the translators havenβt interpreted it correctly. Translators are subject to pre-existing biases just like the rest of us. Thatβs why there are over 400 English translations of the Bible.
And again, there is pretty good evidence that scribes and rabbis through the centuries have made, albeit minor, mistakes in transmission, or have purposefully changed the text, especially as it relates to the New Testament. Jewish authorities were desperate to thwart the new religion of Christianity in the first few centuries. The genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11 in the Masoretic Text are a perfect example. The Masoretic Text dates to the 7th century AD. However, the Greek Septuagintβs genealogies line up chronologically. The Septuagint dates to the 3rd century BC, and it is the Bible that Jesus and first century Jews read.
Then there are the problems of all the books mentioned in the Bible, over 20 of them, that donβt exist anymore, or that are no longer part of our modern Protestant canon. Books like βThe Book of the Wars of Yahweh,β mentioned in Numbers 21:14. What the heck?! Boy, would I love to read THAT book! But itβs gone. Or perhaps itβs hidden away in the bowels of the Vatican.
The Book of Jude in the NT directly quotes Enoch 1, and good arguments can be made that Jesus also quoted Enoch, or strongly alluded to it at the very least. Why donβt we have Enoch in our canon? The Jews of the first century were obviously very familiar with it.
But despite these problems, I think the Bible makes perfect sense from Genesis to Revelation. Iβm not saying I have it all figured out, but thereβs a theme, a subtext even beyond Jesus, that connects it all together from start to finish. And I think once you see it, the pieces fall perfectly into place.
I have great respect for the Bible and Godβs ability to use it as a tool to help increase a manβs knowledge and understanding of God, however, to say that there are no contradictions in the book is an indefensible position to take, and itβs not necessary. A simple example is the gospel stories about the women going to the tomb on the first day. One story talks about three women, another talks about two women, and the third, the gospel of John, talks about only one woman going to the tomb. These are obvious contradictions, but it is not necessary to defend, unless you are claiming that your book is infallible. (Which, incidentally, is also indefensible)
Well, only if you believe that. I believe everything is a part of God. All is It's creation. What Jonah, Satan and other biblical characters didn't remember is that they are still part of God. You can't be separated except in your mind. But God doesn't really care because God gave all it's creations free will to learn and grow and eventually, they all wind up back in the same place that they always were-- but just didn't remember. We all come here temporarily pretending we are separate from God and each other. An amusement park ride with lots of thrills and spills but then we all get off the same roller coaster together and wind up in one place. No heavens, no hells. Just one with all that is until we decide to get on the coaster again.
I donβt think for a minute that itβs all up to what we believe. There is just one true God. There can only be so many chefs in the kitchen.
If something as big as who created us and the universe and how that does and should look, etc. was up to what we all believed, things would be utter chaos.
Imagine a βfamilyβ wherein loads of men, women and children live under the same roofβ like Sister Wives on steroids. Would that go smoothly?
Someone would need to be the real DAD and the real
MOM, otherwise the kids would be downright schizophrenic trying to ascertain how to behave and who makes the rules and how to go about daily living. Can you imagine all the, βBut that other mommy says we can eat dessert first!β πMy beliefs come
straight from the word of God, as I have found Him to be far more wonderful and make the very most sense for daily
living and life in general. Heβs tried and true.
Jesus said, βI am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. No man comes to the Father except through Me.β Iβm all about living eternally, coming to the Father, through Jesus, my savior.
But I do sincerely wish you happy coaster riding as far as that takes you!
Thanks. As I stated, I do believe in a real Dad, just apparently, not the real Dad you want to everyone to envision. We all create our own reality. The ability to create is because we are part of THE creator of all. Of course there is chaos as everyone is trying to get everyone else to believe and follow THEIR particular creation as if that is the only way. Jesus was pointing this out. He demonstrated creation to others but instead of others trying to follow his demonstration they bowed down and worshiped him. Jesus didn't save me. No one can die to absolve others for their deeds. How can a guy die 2000 years ago save me from anything? Jesus was a master teacher trying to show people that they are all part of God and you, too, can remember that, as he did. I think back to the great film Life of Brian when the masses are all at his doorstep and he tells them "look, don't follow me. You can all think for yourselves" and the crowd all chants in blank unison, "yes we can all think for ourselves." Very funny. All roads lead to Rome. Your road is different from mine but we'll end up in the same place. No need to fear now worshiping the right way or the right deity. There isn't one right one.
"He demonstrated creation to others but instead of others trying to follow his demonstration they bowed down and worshiped him. " You would too if you knew Him!
Yeah, that put the ol' "fear of God" into them, didn't it? A great way to get people in line is to put the fear of God into them. Tell them God is a wrathful, angry old coot sitting on his throne ready to smite anyone who steps out of line, doesn't follow this book of rules some guy wrote down but said God told me these are His rules. It worked for the Catholic church for centuries, justifed Inquisitions and bloody crusades. You could of course, buy Indulgences and get a pass for bad behaviors. So you could get out of alignment with God but apparently you can buy your way out of them. But then we're told in the New Testament that God is love and he's not that grouchy deity of the Old Testament anymore. And instead of Indulgences, now you just worship Jesus and get your pass. Stories to get people to do things they ordinarily wouldn't do or don't want to do. All religions are books of stories we tell to each other. They become imprinted on the psyche of nations, they get modified, updated, made to fit the times. It is fascinating to read the stories of other religions because they believe them as strongly as people on this site believe the stories of the bible and each group believes their story is the only correct one and some are willing to kill for them. That's how strongly they believe their story is the only right one. Just my opinion<<--legal disclaimer ; )
All that is how βmanβ abused Godβs word, not how God designed it to be used.
Pardon me Cousin for replying so much to you, but you make for really interesting conversation. π
As for God pouring vengeance out on people, there are times when that absolutely is the only appropriate response. But He doesnβt always respond that way.
If a guest comes into my home and starts to destroy things I have painstakingly created over the years, and trashes my character and tries to enjoy my good graces but take credit for it all and not being thankful towards me, and hurts my children physically or emotionally, or tries to turn them against me, you bet Iβll bring the wrath of hell upon them and boot them to the curb. There is such a thing as righteous anger. We have rules in this house and some of them are nonnegotiable. If that makes someone fearful to break our rules when in our home then thatβs good. Most people follow them out of respect and love, but there are always those that are only controlled by the fear of consequences.
If God created everything and designed how our world works, as well as how our bodies and minds and spirits work, He knows better than anyone what we should do to maximize the potential of our life. Itβs like getting a new car and tossing the ownerβs manual in the trash thinking you know more than the manufacturer does about how it all works and how to use it. You may be able to get to and fro in it for a while, but I bet it lasts half as long as it could have due to unnecessary abuse. Which of us uses our dishwasher ownerβs manual to know how to use our weed whacker? Nobody knows better the proper way to use an appliance or other invention than the person who actually designed it. Sure we can use it whatever way we want, but it will never perform as well as it could have had we referred to the ownerβs manual. The Bible is an ownerβs manual to the human life, mind, and soul. You can toss it aside and still use your life but it will never function as well as the manufacturer designed it to. In that sense your idea behind βchoiceβ is right: you can choose to not use it and still live a life with your body, but you cannot choose the ramifications of ignoring how it was all designed to work.
Juju, here is a ? I have pondered. God says He is a jealous God but that is one of the 7 deadly sins?? I am flummoxed on that one. He does not need to be jealous of anyone or anything.
As for Him not needing to be jealous, that would be true if we had no choice to choose Him. But He gave us the choice to choose Him or the world (aka other Gods and beliefs.) Since we can choose, He feels the pain of rejection by someone He deeply loves.
I wonder what word for Jealousy is used in the original Arabic? Many words (like βLoveβ) have only one word/meaning in the modern day English language, but the original texts have several different words for Love that each mean something slightly different. Much gets lost in the translations because of that.
This is a very stilted view of Christian thinking as it has been for the better part of two thousand years. And your words above confirm my basis for asking, "How is [your view] different from Humanism?"
First, if God is just love and/or the emphasis is either solely, or primarily, or overwhelming focused on 'love' , then Christianity is merely rendered by hocus-pocus, sleight of hand, into a pagan love cult. One might as well worship Venus or Aphrodite. And it is precisely this love cult aspect aspect of modern 'Christianity' which is perhaps the biggest heresy of the fallen 'Christian' church of our time.
To the point, the Good Book has the 'fear of God' as being 'the beginning of wisdom'. The implication is this, that we must hate what God hates and love what God loves as defined by Holy Scripture ... and moreover ... as is expressly laid out in the Ten Commandments. In that way the Christian adheres to a morality which is the embedded Word in God's Law-giving. And thereby so adhering, upholding and affirming of Law, a society becomes just, orderly, and predictable ... and with God's peace covering the land; and just the opposite of what we see from the secular God-haters in charge of the current Western World whose main products are chaos, murder and mayhem. And my, how they the Godless love and abide in Forever Wars and genocide. And generally, ripping the world asunder.
Christian orthodoxy believes that God is Sovereign over all of His Creation, that God is the Lawgiver of Absolute Law and that Humanistic or Marxified Man does not get to make up rules. Christians also believe that God is a God of Judgement. And that those who upset the apple cart and make up their version of creation will reap the whirlwind.
When I was a young man in his twenties and living in New York on Upper West Side near Columbia University, I used to walk up Broadway to the university where I worked. Way up on the wall of a large brick building somebody had written, "The Wages of Sin is Death." I could not fathom it back then. I would stare. I would wonder. What could this possibly mean? But look around. And the meaning is everywhere to be found.
The love of God isn't a sexual, lustful or even human love. It must be something far greater that I can't even know. It is the stuff that binds the universe together. Maybe it's looking at another person and realizing you and that person are both part of the same thing. You certainly know everything I don't about the bible. I just know what I was exposed to in church and sunday school in my youth. That was enough for me.; ) It doesn't change that the books were all written by men. God didn't pen anything. It was all men who said they were speaking for God. All of it. Imagine if today, a man told you God told him a certain thing and said we must all follow God's dictate as was told to him. You'd say, "how can you be sure you weren't making it up or hearing your own ideas and believed it was God." What makes that guy different from a guy back when they were scratching on scrolls? Time. I think that men wrote the rules to get other people to obey them, make an orderly society and they worked pretty well. Some ideas like the Ten Commandments are practical rules to keep an orderly society. If you say, "God gave us these rules." It gets more adherence than saying "our leader says."
Youβve got some good stuff here daverkb and I only want to touch on two things. One, Cousin Clem didnβt say βGod is loveβ, he said that the Bible did. βBut then we're told in the New Testament that God is love and he's not that grouchy deity of the Old Testament anymore.β The NT does say that, although Iβm pretty sure that the OT does not. I agree with you that this love cult aspect is a problem with modern Christianity, but I wanna remind you that it was ancient Christianity that came up with the idea. The phrase βGod is loveβ is found in the NT and the NT was compiled by the same men that formed the church. So maybe the church was βfallenβ already in the beginning?
And then, concerning the βsecular God hatersβ that rule the Western world; Iβm thinking, that theyβre almost all Christians. The presidents of America for the last 60 years, have all been Christians. The Congress is overwhelmingly Christian. The Supreme Court is seven Catholics and two Jews and then in Europe almost all of the leaders are Catholics or Christians of some sort. I mean Spain is Catholic, Italy Catholic, Britain, Iβm thinking is almost Catholic, Anglican. And then you got Orthodox Catholics in Russia and Ukraine. Iβm saying the state religion of Russia is orthodox catholic, Ukraine is orthodox catholic. Catholics killing Catholics. Theyβve been doing it for centuries. Christians killing Christians is still going on today, then you got Christians killing Muslims, that too has been going on for centuries, and still going on today.
βAnd my, how they the Godless love and abide in Forever Wars and genocide. And generally, ripping the world asunder.β (good writing)
I like your post and agree with it, iβm just throwing a couple pennies out there.
I really don't believe anything idiots like those at NPR, PBS, NASA, NOAA and any of the other climate hysteria nutbags have to say so quoting them means nothing to me. It's is just more lies on top of their continuous other lies. Tonga's a curiosity and nothing more. CO2 has never been a greenhouse gas; it has always been water vapor. You can prove that with simple experiments that show CO2 holds very little heat and doubling the amount of CO2 does not double its ability to retain heat. The oceans have always been the largest heatsink for Earth and always will be.
What have the vaccinations protected you from? Everyone I know who was vaccinated got covid. Many young athletes who got the vaccinations died of myocardia and many are still dying from it. Turbo cancer is now a thing thanks to the vaccinations and so are many other deadly issues, that were never a problem before such as permanent spike proteins. Some people say the vaccines are experimental, but that is no longer true. We were the lab rats. They now know exactly how dangerous they are which is why they are no longer recommended except in extreme cases. Personally, I wouldn't even take one then.
So spot-on. The insanity spouted by the MSM boogles the sane mind. You tangentially explained why the hydrogen cell powered auto never came to market. The water vapor released in its combustion would act like millions of mini Hungary Tongas.
While this would be a fact I think you give too much credit to why it was rejectedβ¦. That was because of what that would have done to the petroleum industry. Water is abundant, costs less, and so much else to interfere with screwing the consumer over.
"βThen the earth shook and trembled; The foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, And fire out of his mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down: And darkness was under his feet.β
Please pray for our doctor Cammy Benton in NCβ¦she is going before the NC medical board for further action over her Covid era prescriptions for IVMβ¦.two woke pharmacists turns her in at the time and it has placed a massive burden on her and the practice.
So, as a firearm instructor, I always talk about recoil. If Hunga Tonga blew its lid in 2022, exerting force upward....is there any data or suspicion that it could've affected earth's orbit? That would affect our relationship with the sun and change weather patterns...IMO!
We, aka Earth, have been in an alignment with the Sun on one side and the gas giants on the other and the magnetic pulls are tugging on two sides. Last time this alignment happened was 79+/- AD, the year of Mt Vesuvius, and probably many unknown at the time, eruptions.
Since learning about Hunga Tonga from your 2023 column, I have used it often when "climate change" is mentioned. Doing so usually baffles the warm-mongers, since they haven't heard of it. It's like playing the trump card in the Climate Game.
As a Christian, I wake up every day trying to figure out what chapter of Revelation I'm living in. LoL Yes Jeff, as you correctly observed: "βScienceβ has only the barest notion of what heats and cools the Earth, and they even refuse to grapple with the evidence they do have. The climate has been changing ever since God created the World. It is the pinnacle of human hubris to believe that we know what the optimal global climate is, or to think we can somehow freeze that optimal climate into place without breaking everything else." I have kept a list of predicted climate disaster events for the last 20 years. None of them have happened. Climate Change is another false narrative designed to control people using fear.
Decades ago the great fear was climate cooling. There's the operative term: fear. "Experts" suddenly realized the climate was warming. Oops. So the narrative was updated to the more generic "Climate Change". It's the tyranny of the expert. HOW DARE YOU QUESTION SCIENCE!! Human governments will tell you they can't control the price of gas, but if you pay enough in taxes, they can be like God and control the climate.
Environmental disasters have been a common occurrence for millions of years. Do a Google AI search on "ancient environmental disasters" and look at the long list. Younger Dryas (comet) 12,900 yrs ago, Minoan eruption 1600 BCE, Permian-Triassic extinction event 250 million years ago that resulted in a dramatic increase in atmospheric CO2 and ocean acidification leading to the largest mass extinction in Earth's history.Β No fossil fueled vehicles or power plants back then, right? I could go on but do the search and see for yourselves. Learn to use common sense and question the fear-based narratives.
As a Christian, I avoid reading too much into the natural and man-made disasters. My faith in God results in a great contentment. He has a timeline and events will unfold under His control and when they do, ALL humanity will know it is God.
Think of how long the unemployment line would be, made up of unemployed so-called scientist, if they acknowledged a cause of weather enhancement. Claiming uncertainty is job insurance.
You hit the nail on the head. Climate change, Global Warming or whatever it's called these days has produced so much graft and grift. From the windmills to carbon capture. All makes a few very wealthy and like the covid hysteria before that, removes more of your personal freedoms in the process.
There's that but I am shocked to say a lot of the normies actually believe their BS. This climate change is a big commandment in their "religion." That and masks, shots, dei etc.π

Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you,
And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
How blessed are all those who long for Him.
β Isaiah 30:18 NAS
βοΈβοΈβοΈ
This is another beautiful, just wow, verse. He "longs" to be gracious to us....He "waits on high" to have compassion on us. That's our Father. Oh, how I love Himπ
It is profound isnβt it, that the Creator of the heavens and earth cares so deeply about each of us. Wising none to perish! π
Who is like the LORD our God, Who is enthroned on high, Who humbles Himself to regard The heavens and the earth? Psalm 138:6
I actually shared it almost two years ago on here, but I thought it was worth reading multiple times! Such beautiful truth and lovely words: longs, gracious, compassion, justice, blessed . . .

Capital "I AM": Don't leave Earth without HIM.
Perfect Scripture verse (as usual) Janice. Thank you. Come Jesus, come quickly!

This is worth considering:
The Day of the LORD
β¦The great Day of the LORD is nearβnear and coming quickly. Listen, the Day of the LORD! Then the cry of the mighty will be bitter. That day will be a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and a day of horn blast and battle cry against the fortified cities, and against the high corner towers.β¦
βI will completely sweep away everything from the face of the earth,β
declares the LORD.
βI will sweep away man and beast;
I will sweep away the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea,
and the idols with their wicked worshipers.a
I will cut off mankind from the face of the earth,β
declares the LORD.
βThe whole earth will be consumed
by the fire of His jealousy.β
For indeed, He will make a sudden end
of all who dwell on the earth.β

Enjoy and stop being melancholy. Enjoy your time it's short than you think.
Later Jay
I do enjoy but also have times of great melancholy. That is me Jay.
Later Lori
HEY! your stealing my outro..... but that's O.K. I think it's better than saying good bye or something like that; more like see you later.
I get the melancholy-thing. It's all good.
Later Jay
Yes, I am a thief, lol! I will change it a bit.
Later Gator! Peace out.
Dear Jay,
This is unimportant but I suggest you place a comma after the word βLaterβ otherwise it looks like you are saying later to Jay and not to everyone else.
He can do anything so I will continue to ask Him for a change in plan.
It worked with Jonah at Nineveh
Indeed Jeremiah indeed.
me too
I feel better now
lol
I can understand the plea, but doesnβt God possess way more wisdom about everything than we do? I believe that passage is talking about the very end when God destroys the world (His people have already been rescued by then) and the will make a brand new heaven and brand new earth, for the former things are passed away.
ummmm... yeah, me too

Alas, you who are longing for the day of the LORD, For what purpose will the day of the LORD be to you? It will be darkness and not light;
Amos 5:18 (NASB95)
Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end [is] it for you? the day of the LORD [is] darkness, and not light.

I remember reading this for the first time and having to rethink the way some of the letters in the New Testament were ended with the word βMaranathaβ, meaning βcome quickly, Lord Jesusβ

Like the "Justice" for the 400,000+ murdered in Gaza by God's "chosen"?
That ain't "gracious" Honey!
Father God I lift up AD to you and ask that you crack open his heart to know Your goodness and Your mercy. To bring him such an overwhelming sense of Your presence that You are undeniable. Block out the lies he believes so he can hear Your truth.
In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen

It is true. Dave, watch the Tucker interviews with Mother Agapia, Tony Aguilar and John Mearsheimer. It is horrific and AIPAC needs to check themselves.
How do you even FIT 400,000 bodies into that tiny little area? And where are they buried? Do Muslims bury their dead, or burn them like the Hindu do?
Always tragedy; it makes me quite forlorn.
Amen.

I trust and believe in God. God Always Wins.
Have a nice day.
Exactly: GAW, not merely TAW.
Right. And TAW because GAW. It's pretty simple, isn't it?
Don't forget JAR, Jeff is always right! π
Don't forget the Holy Ghost! He seems to be the quiet type.
The JAW is ment to be Jeff, but I think you understood it to represent Jesus. Correct Jesus/God are One.
Donβt forget the Holy Spiritβ¦ he is within us.
Interesting word, βconsubstantialβ (meaning of the same substance or essence (used especially of the three persons of the Trinity in christian theology)) when a definition of substance is;
βthe real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence.β
(This definition doesnβt work with our concept of spirits)
It seems to me that the word βconsubstantialβ simply cannot refer to God, which should lead one to question the creed (belief) in which that word is used about God.
You mean it doesnβt work for you. It works for me and for every other person who believes in the Creed.
Wouldnβt that be JAR???!!!! And I like the point about it also being that Jesus is always right, too! So a double win in acronyms!
Yes! Typo. JAR is definitely multi use.
Thank you for the recap. I am, as well, an incorrigible optimist. Unfortunately, that condition is not contagious.
The only reason Trump ever wins is due the mercy and power of GOD. please give HIM credit.
I pray often that Trumps stays aligned with God so he does not falter too badly.
Booyah!!!!!!!!!!!
Which he did when he said βRight. And TAW because GAW. It's pretty simple, isn't it?β
Amen. All other ground is sinking sand.

That is what happens when God is removed from the equation. Humans then fear death and kill themselves (and others) trying to keep it at bay.
LOL
Good to know Garden Lover!
Actually only since Noah.
The atmosphere was decidedly different before the Flood. But of course, "scientists" do not believe in the Flood, or Noah, or the Ark, or even a Creator for that matter.
GAW!
Darn tootin' Dan. God created evolution, climate change and everything else. This hubrisfest of humans has got to go.
I thank God every day for my faith! We can enjoy his beautiful world, and know that "whatever happens, happens," He's got us!
So true Amy. This knowledge affords great solace.
However, someone passing out in the attic and falling through the ceiling would probably have been a bigger deal. π€·ββοΈ
Try to avoid that.
So does mine. When we lived in TX, he suggested to the company owner that work should start just at sunup (during a sweltering summer of 90 consecutive days well over 100Β°) and end before the hottest temps of the day. The owner didnβt see the point.
The owner is an entitled twat.
LOL
Oh I remember that summer! I was in Dallas. I thought it would never end.
Methinks the owner didn't work in the field beside his employees?
π‘
Ugh that sounds absolutely brutal π
Hottest and sweatiest I have ever been, but Iβll spare you further detailsβ¦
Gold Bond, for the details you have spared.
Fortunately hasnβt gotten that bad yet.
I can only imagine, itβs bad enough trying to run in this (and itβs not even *that* hot although itβs incredibly humid) but Iβm only out for an hour or two max, so all day must be pushing you to the limits π Hang in there!
God have mercy and provide some ice water.
I suppose it must be an urgent replacement, else it would have been postponed until November.
Connerβππ»ππ»ππ»!
Here in El Paso, TX, our temperatures have been lower this summer than last year. Last year we had over 100 days in a row of over 100Β°F.
Up in the Panhandle of Texas we have not had many blistering hot days! The grass is still green and by this time in summer it is usually already brown! Although we can never get too much rain up here! Waiting for more and thanking God for what we have already received!
Same in Lubbock! I don't think I have seen this much GREEN in all of the 13 years I've been here! π³π±πΏ
Yeah just drove through there and NM, TX and OK were/are very green. We were jealous in AZ mtns until a couple days ago we finally started getting our rains.
Humidity actually moderates extreme temperatures. This is why low humidity Las Vegas regularly has 110 F summer days but high humidity Charlotte, NC rarely exceeds 95 F.
yeah but the humidity makes it FEEL hotter
Yep - currently living those low humidity, high temp days...lol
but it's dry heat....like making toast
Here in the Virgin Islands our temperature has been cooler and the water temps are still βchillyβ for us locals
on my way!
At a local music festival last weekend here in the UK, a young man (after much partying) went to sleep in his plastic tent. He never woke up. The temperature in his tent midday had reached over 130 degrees.
Oh wow thatβs awful π
That is sad π
Same in Roswell NM, Tonya. Weβve only had 2-3 days over 100 this summer (which makes me very grumpy since Iβm now spoiled).
Yeah but the humidity is worse this summer because the monsoon rains are stronger.
Iβll take a little temporary monsoon humidity over a summer of mostly over 100 though.
Temporary is the defining word. I'm in mid south Louisiana. Believe me humidity is horrible and is never temporary.
Iβd say a lot unusual on the rain.
I used to read a lot of apparitions and "end times" prophecy, and I don't remember where I read it, but...one of the "signs" was that mild climates would become hot and hot climates would cool...
Here in NE Kansas we seem to be in a rain shadow, although thankfully, it did rain last night, first time for weeks.
Itβs been so humid here that itβs rained almost every day lately, feels kind of like Florida only a little cooler overnight (in the low to mid 70s rather than upper 70s and low 80s).
Yeah the humidity is awful. I'm outside a lot plucking Japanize beetles off my grape vines and peach trees to feed my hens, and I tell myself as I walk about, "Just embrace it, Shayne." Sometimes it works. ππ
Hilarious ! Iβm relating so much to the self-talk lol π
This is me.
shayne - I so wish I had some hens to feed.
We need some of that rain here in EA WA.
And W WA, too.
WE WA?
Iβd gladly send you some if I could!
In central Ohio, it's hot and at times unbearably humid, and it rains either every day or every other day. I've just chosen to stay inside.
It poured buckets.
BBS - I now have a new expletive - Hunga Tonga!
I thought the same thing about the Hunga Tonga! expletive. And it serves double duty if expleted (?!) in reference to a very hot day.
Military, police, medical, firemen...They are young. They need to learn old survival techniques. It is very good for young men to work. They are not victims but survivers. Thank you to all!
Our mailpeople ride around in air conditioned trucks.
Whaaaat!? They don't get that here in AZ!
Is that a bad thing? π€
Not at all.
Hunga Tonga. Kansas City flooding.π€
For a thoroughgoing deconstruction of climate-change alarmism, readers might be interested in this piece in The Menelaus Gambit: https://ernestdlieberman.substack.com/p/climate-change-alarmists-ignore-how
"Climate Change: Alarmists ignore how changes in the Sun and Earth's motion dwarf CO2's power; ignore major cooling forces; suppress highly qualified dissenters; and alter dataβall to hype CO2 hysteria"
[And Hunga Tonga is in it!]
Decades upon decades ago, my Dad worked outside in home improvement.
We were the first house in our neighborhood to have central air conditioning, and we never "ate outside in the summer" because of the heat.
Yesterdayβs weather in Rapid City, SD was the coldest on record. 58 degrees surpassed the 1950 temperature, on July 16th, of 63 degrees. So, Iβm looking forward to the heat coming back.
Keep working, thatβs what they are doing.
Rain or shine.
Having labored outdoors for a long time...you learn to live with it.
You'll never get an appointment at the Bill Gates School of Geo-engineering with science reporting like this, Jeff.
I would pay not to have an appointment with something as insidious as gates.
I donβt think Jeff would accept such an appointment either.
I do not know anyone who would thank goodness!
Why hasnβt he been brought to trial yet?
I enjoyed (weird word to use for this subject) article then and now. I learned a lot from the Ethical Skeptic as well.
I have a background in Oceanography. We learn how the water currents and wind currents intertwine. Mess with one, you mess with the other.
It drives me crazy that folks donβt understand that we are in a closed system. If you push one area, another area will feel the effects. Equilibrium. Tge system has to cone back to balance.
Occamβs Razor
It's the Holy Spirit Who leads into all Truth.
The climate change fallacy is all about control and transfer of wealth.
I say the Hell with Hubris!
Thank you! Yes, exactly this! I think I learned this in 1st or 2nd grade science.
Mrs. "the Knife"
FEF - exactly. I made a comment above before reading yours. An enclosed system like a terrarium.
Amen
A butterfly flaps its wingsβ¦
I was thinking along those lines
70 is being generous. I would venture to guess the percentage of sheeple is closer to 90.
Your statement is the secular version of James 2:17-26, and is equally true.
It doesnβt seem like itβs been two whole years since Jeff have posted about that!
Was thinking the same thing! Time slow down please !
Iβve had that same experience. People who worship at the altar of man made climate change refuse to consider this
The math sense is terrible.
150 metric mega tons will cover 1 million acres in a inch of water, and we are to belive this is 10% of all atmospheric vapor.
Math is hard with all those zeros.
LOL
I think it was stratospheric water only. The Olympic swimming pool analogy is weak too. How about 1% of Lake Erie or something like that. Probably more like 0.0001% or less.
All the math and all the estimates are bad.
It's a drop in the proverbial bucket.
Experts are tools, for proper use common sense is needed.
Oh, and a calculator.
I am embarrassed to say I too never heard of HT until now. Where the hell was I in 2022??? It absolutely makes sense. Etch a sketch, love it!
Shoot Tampon Tim up into space to absorb moisture. Lol. ππ

Nah, they'll start taxing air-conditioning even more. Government any more exists to amplify and monetize bad news.
Mrs. "the Knife"
We here in EA WA are waiting for that big sucker too.
Mrs. "the Knife"
Stay outta downtown Spokane. It's lefty, it's looney, it's unsafe.
SpoComptonπ
Yes, I have had a few moments of *uh-oh* in Spokane, but we have family there, so we pray for safety and keep our heads on a swivel when we go see the girls.
Mrs. "the Knife"
If you get a chance, try the VIEUX CARRΓ© NOLA Kitchen or the Luna Restaurant. Pricey, but good.
I personally would like to see all of you in Idaho.
Mrs. "the Knife"
That is, as part of the geographic state. We could carve out Spokane π€
That may happen one of these days!
Just across the border in the 51 state and have a perfect view of Mount Baker. Last eruption occurred in 1843. Could be quite a show.
I saw that Rainier is dancing too.
Thank you for posting about the data that is out there - we have family in Missouri who keep sending us Zillow posts!
Mrs. "the Knife"
Ask your family in MO about the New Madrid fault. π
Well, there is that! I wonder which is worse, New Madrid or the Juan de Fuca Plate? Yikes!
Mrs. "the Knife"
Tsunami warnings for Alaska yesterday, I believe.
Yeah, 7.3 earthquake off the coast.
Exactly! You have your eyes open to it.
Reminds me of Venice, IT. Another disaster waiting to happen.
A good day to get right with God. Have no fear!
Amen. Upvote this post 1000 times. πβοΈβ€οΈ
We have been singing this song (No Fear!) every week lately in our local church worship service:
https://youtu.be/GYtUec8mzak?si=FLEeOhNHXxJCda8X
Can you be wrong with God?
Cousin Clem deserves a spot at the top of all our prayer lists. Letβs love him enough to do so.
Thanks, I appreciate the sentiment. I'm not a bad person. I just think differently.

Thinking differently is a good thing and certainly doesnβt make one a bad person.
Your comment βwe are ALL children of Godβ exhibits your personal belief in God,
so Iβm wondering if you have considered the murderers, rapists and thieves among us.
Do you βthinkβ that these are ALL children of God?
Can you imagine your God claiming them as his children?
Iβm just wondering what you think Clem, Iβm not knocking you or your thinking.
We welcome your thoughts and glad you walk your own path. Clones are boring:}
Happy hunting! π€
Jesus didn't say worship Him; He said, "The Kingdom of God is at hand (here.within reach now!). Repent, and BELIEVE the Good News."
For what itβs worth, I agree, The Bible is contradictory at times and does not always make logical sense.
It's not really one book. It's a collection of books, various "authors" over hundereds of years. "Contradictions" might not be surprising; but there is no contradiciton in Jesus' teaching.
Yeah, I agree with you. I was just saying it so maybe people wouldnβt be surprised.
Hard yes. Just ask Jonah, Satan, (He was the head honcho angel, before he became prideful and tried to usurp God), Cain, and loads of others.
I respectfully disagree.
God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. We are separated from Him because of the darkness in us, but Jesus took care of that on the cross.
Where can I read about Jesus demonstrating creation to others but not being a savior? Where might one derive
this notion?
Ugh, free will, see how that worked out for us:{
Clem ... How is this view of yours presuppositionally different from Humanism?
Yes, see the Prophets of the Old Testament warning ancient Israel (over and over) that they were out of alignment with God.
Great question. Iβll have to ponder that one.
Maybe there are different kinds of jealousy?
Ask Lot's wife. Ask the citizens of Sodom or Gomorrah.
Yes you can:{
I really don't believe anything idiots like those at NPR, PBS, NASA, NOAA and any of the other climate hysteria nutbags have to say so quoting them means nothing to me.
Well at least all those people are all fully vaccinated, unlike the geniuses here who are missing this critical protection.
I believe Florida man is being sarcastic, but I could be wrong.
Maybe. I considered that, but couldn't tell so I asked a question.
Isn't getting 8 shots the maximum protection?
I think Maxine Waters must have about doubled that, nothing else can explain that much mental deterioration...
Based Florida Man β- there is no max protection! Or at least to the covid-worshippers. π
I lost count - well, actually not really paying attention to the "get your next jab" BS.

Florida Man is sarcastic? Say it ain't so!!
Indeed he is Elaine!

Exactly.
Good morning! I love pushing that heart icon for C&C
Truth be told, saying "Hunga Tunga" is rather fun. π

So, as a firearm instructor, I always talk about recoil. If Hunga Tonga blew its lid in 2022, exerting force upward....is there any data or suspicion that it could've affected earth's orbit? That would affect our relationship with the sun and change weather patterns...IMO!
Clearly you're not a scientist.... I mean this as a compliment ππ€£

He cured me of any notion to ever have another vaccine π₯Έ

Right!?!? That sounds like such a logical question!!
We, aka Earth, have been in an alignment with the Sun on one side and the gas giants on the other and the magnetic pulls are tugging on two sides. Last time this alignment happened was 79+/- AD, the year of Mt Vesuvius, and probably many unknown at the time, eruptions.
Now that is thinking outside the box.
π€
Tim, do you happen to live in NC? What do you know about https://appleseedinfo.org/ ? I am thinking of attending one of their rifle courses.
I never attended an appleseed, but used their instructional materials. I found it very beneficial.
Since learning about Hunga Tonga from your 2023 column, I have used it often when "climate change" is mentioned. Doing so usually baffles the warm-mongers, since they haven't heard of it. It's like playing the trump card in the Climate Game.
"The warm-mongers": BOOM! Gonna steal that one.
Please do. I can't remember who I stole it from.
I as well!!
The new Scientific Method is all about maximizing personal earnings.
You hit the nail on the head. Climate change, Global Warming or whatever it's called these days has produced so much graft and grift. From the windmills to carbon capture. All makes a few very wealthy and like the covid hysteria before that, removes more of your personal freedoms in the process.
π―
There's that but I am shocked to say a lot of the normies actually believe their BS. This climate change is a big commandment in their "religion." That and masks, shots, dei etc.π
Abraham Lincoln: 'You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.'
Sam Clemens and PT Barnum both made similar observations. Barnum cashed 'em in at the entrance to the big top.
True, but it sure makes them look like idiots.
They ARE idiots.
Capital "I."
Wealthy idiots.
