I know, right!? He is a word Master!! Some of his sentences are seared into my brain like the poems and songs I learned in elementary school. For example, during the congressional hearings on antisemitism when Claudine Gay was testifying on behalf of Harvard. He described her as "Prancing Prettily into the Propeller blades". I laughed so hard when I read that at 5 something in the morning it woke my snoring husband up. I still laugh when I think of it.
Same!! I often listen to C&C on the Substack app usually running on Civil War battlefield next to my neighborhood and I hysterically laugh out loud most every day!!
I am forever indebted to Jeff for my daily caffeinated dose
I don't know if I'm overthinking this, but it seems to *me* that his use of "Pituffik" and italicizing it in,
"Replacement Space Force Colonel Shawn Lee has now assumed base command, and will presumably keep the dogs of maternal instinct on a tight leash. Pituffik."
was intended to be the phonetic sibling of "Perrfect" where you trill the Rs with an Eastern European accent.
That's how my mind's ear read it, and if that's how he intended it, then yeah, he is a brilliant and subtle wordsmith.
Perhaps he's TALKING instead of TYPING - I get the silliest e-mails and texts from friends because of that 'convenient' feature/app on "smart"phones (which I despise with a passion)!
Nice. I was thinking Jeff tossed out "Pituffik" in reference to a misguided "maternal instinct" in the military, much like Twain dismissing shuffleboard as "horse billiards." Now I have two wonderfully gentle expressions of contempt.
I thought his last Pituffik was equivalent to ‘pfft’ 😆
If so, also brilliant! I’m thankful every day when I see his substack in my inbox. His positive outlook during the last ‘4 years in the wilderness’ saved my bacon!
Four years?!!? Darn it! I just found out about him! I look forward to his emails and make sure I’m not drinking coffee while reading. I laugh so hard I’d choke! And you’re correct, the guy is a super genius.
Many of us early readers credit him with saving our sanity during those crazy times early in the COVID mind control thing. So thankful for him. I’ve spit many of mouthfuls of coffee over his quips
If I felt worn out looking for ways “to express how novel and unprecedented it all is,” I'd bask in the glow of this: “We are witnessing a mature and muscular Executive Branch calmly flexing the full strength of its legal powers and cracking its regulatory knuckles.” That's a LONG way from worn out.
I chuckled over his description of the ships Trump sent to Iranian waters: "aircraft carriers (5 holes), ten cruisers (3 holes), and the battleship (4 holes)." Jeff can find a way to inject humor into the gravest of situations.
It’s the Unexpectedly Administration! Inflation unexpectedly falls! The border is unexpectedly secure! Private sector job creation is unexpectedly high! While there are likely many more “Unexpectedly” headlines coming soon, the one I will enjoy the most is “Democratic Party unexpectedly disintegrates”. 👍👍😂😂
Also, those legal games being played to skirt around existing laws are very bothersome for the bad precedents they may set. It reeks of 'the ends justifying the means'.
Nationally, maybe. But locally they are stronger than ever. Our 2 conservative SB candidates in my district lost in a disastrous outcome on Tue. Between them and their PAC, the 2 lefties raised 2X the money, had dozens of volunteers out hitting doors every weekend and large packs of keyboard warriors attacking and lying about our candidates non-stop. And a segment of our base attacking one of our candidates for not being conservative enough. (true she was weak, but better than the 2 nut jobs who beat her). I couldn't even find enough volunteers to cover half the polls on election day - last year we covered 28/32 of them. My hubby was at one poll by himself, and the lefties had EIGHT PEOPLE there.
A conservative PAC in St. Louis/St. Charles area backing candidates lost all 13 races. Of the total of 14 candidates our KC-area We the People group supported, 7 won, 2 won by less than 20 votes. Lowest turnout in 4 years and tax increases and/or bonds on the ballot all passed, which tells me Conservatives stayed home.
Had some ask me for candidate recos in Cass County, just south of us. Reached out to the Cass County chair and was told there were NO Conservatives on the ballot at the 2 school districts in question. And Cass is a solid red county, unlike the purple one I live in.
They may be disorganized and infighting nationally, but here, they are united, mad, and fighting. And Conservatives are largely snoozing.
Couldn't agree more. I live in the SF East Bay, a very liberal bastion of California. However, there is also a large (and growing) contingent of conservatives, but we are not as well organized as the Left. I get so frustrated with our GOP Central Committee in our county because it's a bunch of meetings where not much gets done. I was asked to run for my district (which is equivalent to a precinct) in 2024, but my schedule wouldn't allow it. I am now praying about running in 2026.
I ran for committee in 2022 but lost as I was too busy campaigning for others to campaign for myself, but my main goal was to unseat a woman who bashed a lot of conservatives in public and on social media and she decided not to run. Decided to stay out of party politics as my thing is really helping run campaigns. New people who step up to run often have no idea how to run a campaign and fly by the seat of their pants. Our committee chair is really good at outreach though and I do volunteer - we have a R party booth at every major festival that allows political booths and sadly it's the same 20 or so people who volunteer. It WAS awesome to see how many young people (under 30) came to our booths last Fall to take selfies with our 6 foot cardboard Trump. Gives me hope for the future. But bottom line, there are lots of ways to get involved outside the formal party system.
My daughter’s pastor got signatures to be a school board candidate, but stopped at the required number and, of course, the powers found problems with the signatures and he didn’t have time to collect more.
Wow, well we don't have to collect signatures in MO. You just have to file to run and sign an affidavit that your taxes are current and that you reside in the district you are running in, although they don't vet that. In the past we've had a lefty candidate delinquent in property taxes, and one who lived outside the district, although filed listing her soon to be ex-husband's address. So opposition research is key.
Yes, Jeanne, definitely run or if there is a vacancy beforehand you can always be appointed or be an alternate. Your influence matters and you can help effect change for good. I’m currently an alternate on the GOP central committee in Marin which recently successfully became majority America first patriots. There is now a vacancy in my district so it looks like I’ll be appointed a full member soon. Part of me is weary of the uphill battle here in CA, the state GOP is corrupt, but there are also a lot of great patriots dedicating their time that need our support. 🙏🇺🇸👍
Yes! We most certainly need to pray that the corrupt California GOP will get tossed out, and we can get in some true patriots. They are all Old school, Country Club republicans.
I was mostly involved in local races the last ~15 years but 2020 spurred me to jump into the party stuff as our state and county party was weak and feckless too. But rather than try to change from the inside a friend formed a 'conservative' (not Republican) grassroots group in 2020 who backed candidates who the 'party' didn't support in the primaries. Meetings in 2021 had as many as 300 in attendance every month, more than the 6 'Republican' groups had at their meetings in total. (although, sadly, that number has dropped off this year, and it's closer to 150 as complacency is setting in). Some of our supported candidates won in 2022 and others had strong showings which helped with momentum to bring more solid conservatives into the party committee. A couple of old school squish Republicans were unseated for the state committee chairs at the state convention in 2024, although an effort to reform the platform got overturned on a technicality. There is still too many of the old guard as many of them are big donors and money is the mother's milk of politics, but it is definitely better than it was in 2020. Our county party had it's annual Lincoln Reagan fundraiser dinner last night, and the highlight of the evening was a panel of J6ers who told their stories. Some lost literally everything, but NONE of them had any regrets. One even joked, 'at least I look good in orange'. They would never have been invited a few years ago.
moved to NV from the East Bay during the height of covid insanity. We miss our church, friends and weather but obviously not the taxes and politics. Glad to hear there’s some minds and hearts changing there. Please run!
Agreed. And in red Lancaster County, PA we just lost a state senate seat by 490 votes. The Republicans barely knew about the special election and have been coasting. Time to stay awake.
Yes, I am also in Lancaster County and I was flummoxed by the loss. I was a poll watcher for the first time in my 74 years and volunteered for the recount of the general election and I wondered why no one contacted me (to confess, neither did I make any effort for the special election. Last time that I will be so passive!)
And I’m telling you now, it’s time for a third party. Republicants are doing everything they can to thwart trump, because they are as bad as dems when it comes to being on the dole. They are perfectly happy with the uniparty. I’d like to see how many would dump the republicants like a bad habit if they could still support trump, and real conservatives. This is bullshit.
Nationally maybe. But I am talking about local. In MO, local elections are "non-partisan" but that is a sham these days. Our conservative SB/City Council PAC is made up of card-carrying R's, libertarians and even some squishy middle of the road types. Some didn't even vote for Trump but they are against DEI, pushing trans agenda and wasting taxpayer money and willing to work.
YES, he came to KC and spoke in 2022, and it was standing room only, great message on getting off the couch and getting involved! Look up 'boundless energy' and it should be a picture of him.
Conservatives don't choose to participate or exert control over the existing Rep Party and you expect them to organize a 3rd Party??? Miraginary thinking, just like the Coolorado Liebertarians thinking they will gain popularity as Reps Suck and Dems are EVIL. Never gonna happen
I campaigned for Ross Perot in 1992, and that was the closest thing to 3rd party success in my lifetime. Granted the 'drop out and get back in' killed some of the momentum, but the net effect was to help Bill Clinton, so I gave up on that idealism.
Deborah, because the faker Rs are a club. Keep trying, attend the county GOP central committee meetings, get other conservatives to attend. My county had fake Rs but a group of tireless America first patriots fought hard, created an election integrity committee, prepared a comprehensive report that proved 2020 election fraud, ran for central committee seats for 2025, and won. We are now considered a success story across other counties in California to emulate. There’s a great book by Daniel Schultz called How to get into the real ballgame of politics where you live. It educates on how these central committees work, can be so influential, and help get good people elected.
well you don't say where you are, but I have heard that in solid red counties, that it is more of a club than a true party. Party committee meetings are open to the public, at least in our county. I just show up even though I am not on the committee. There are 6 different R clubs that meet monthly at various times and dates. We do have a big active R party here as we are purple but a lot of participation died after Trump won. Our local 'grassroots' (not affiliated with the R party as some people don't like the R's/ are more libertarian) group, that had 250 people attending last year now has half that at the monthly meetings.
The best way is to reach out to the candidates themselves. At least here, local races file right before Christmas then they have 3 months to run like h*ll for a first week of April election. And here, Jan and Feb are typically cold and snowy. This year we dealt with high winds off and on all through late Feb and early March that shredded banners and blew away yard signs. So there were 3 volunteers just doing sign replacements. Need people who can do campaign videos. Help with door knocking especially in March when the average voter actually starts paying attention. Hand address targeted postcards. Host a meet and greet or fundraiser. If you reach out to a candidate offering to help and they blow you off, try again. Many local ones are new at this and need all the help they can get and are overwhelmed and may not even know what help they need. Got one of ours a speaking engagement with a big group. And he forgot to ask for volunteers or money!?
We have the country club Republicans on the run in our county, but it didn't happen overnight. It's a constant battle, though, as most of the grassroots folks don't have a lot of money but many in the establishment crowd do write big checks.
Ignore the R's - reach out to the candidates themselves. Or attend a SB or city council meeting and just observe. I wandered into a city council meeting in 2010 and been active ever since from what I saw there.
It was funny - my son needed to attend a council meeting as part of his 'citizenship in the community' badge. We just so happened to attend the night of a conceptual presentation by a developer to bring a Lego Land to our town. My son was over the moon over Legos and he loved the idea. So we started attending meetings and he even got up and spoke during public comments. But the city paid tens of thousands of dollars for consultants, for this development as well as a couple of others, that produced boilerplate reports that were crap, and it was obvious that some of the the sitting council members did even read, let alone question the reports or their assumptions, or even the developer packets. I do business planning research (and other research projects) for a living and would have done 2X the job for half of what they paid. Started calling and emailing my council reps and pointing out questions they should ask, holes in the presentations, etc.
Sadly for my son, the Lego Land proposal went down in flames, and he quit going with me, but I stayed involved. (at least back then the council balked at the big incentive request which is not the case today, the developer crowd owns the council these days). Ran in 2018 against a long time incumbent but came up short. Haven't run again as my mom's health started failing and being a caretaker, working and being a candidate is just too much, but took my 'lessons learned' and apply to help other candidates. Had some good wins, and some bruising losses, there is always more to learn, especially as our town is shifting from red to purple.
My inbox/texts/messenger feed is constantly filled with stories and videos with breathless commentary/clickbait people send me with almost all of it relating to national issues. There is little the average Joe can do to move the needle on this stuff.
I did get the word out and we packed the chamber when the city proposed spending a bunch of tax dollars on a DEI commissioner and other crap. Between emails sent, public comments and a bunch of eyes on the council members, the measure failed 5-4. Wins and losses re: some 15-minute city developments, harder to fight big $ campaign donors. Bottom line: it is much easier to make a difference/move the needle locally than doing anything about Congress and president Cabbage the last 4 years. I have the cell phone numbers of all of the conservative SB and CC members and some will even ask the questions I send them during meetings. (even though looking at their phones during meetings may or may not be a good thing, lol.)
And many pols get their start locally, so stopping leftists from getting those spots hurts their career ladders.
That’s so discouraging. Sounds as if a lot of conservatives like to talk big, but don’t want to actually DO anything 😕 I’m sure they’ll be the biggest complainers too, once the leftists start pushing their agenda 🙄
You nailed it. I am probably going to step out of SB and just focus on city council next year. The PAC has been over-run with armchair quarterbacks (mostly millennials) who want to go to meetings and be in charge and not DO anything. Either way, I don't think we had a chance due to the super motivated big mad D's in an area that is rapidly trending purple/blue. Trump won here in both 2020 and 2024 but it was a lot closer - lost 15 precincts (vs 4 in 2020) and his margin of victory was lower in every precinct but one.
Republicans have to wake up to the importance of elections at all levels!
The Left is absolutely all in on them.
Demonrats got the cheating game down if they need it, but on the local level they don’t usually need to because of apathetic Republicans, who apparently just enjoy whining and complaining about the rule of the Left.
And non-partisan and off year elections---why does my Electric Co-Op buy an unusable $400,000 school bus? Why does my Sanitation District allocate money to support Pride Month? why does my Town honor Caesar Chavez Day but not Ronald Reagan's Birthday? Why does my County's funding of an elder care center now make them a Target to support Every Deadbeat Progressive Social grievance program? The Commie-Termite Parasites want EVERYTHING, and the DJT II speedbump is not a deterrence but rather an INCENTIVE to them!
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! or Just SURRENDER and Die a Worthless, Compliant, Complaining SLAVE
Demos definitely have the local cheating game down. Last election my local Demo congressman had a war chest of 8 million. His Republican challenger had 150k and no publicity and still got 48% of votes.
Our local R party boomed during covid--lots of engagement and people really went to work! It took a year, but we had local, state candidates in the Nov 24 election--after a long drought. None of them won. We have a 50/25/25 Dem/Unaffliated/Rep ratio in our county (college town) in a very Red state. Lots of outside money in these races, plus the current leadership in the county is 100% Dem and one or two RINOs--so they created commission districts (and at-large for the city) that pretty much guarantee Dems will always win. It's discouraging. At the state level, we had some wins thanks to our county turnout which was gratifying. I have noticed in KS that the grass roots have two enemies - the establishment RINOs AND the Dems! Thank you for your work in MO, Donna! Godspeed.
Sounds like Lawrence, KS? Yes Jackson County (MO) changed the charter to put in at-large districts which guarantees a D majority. Eastern part of the county is red, but the middle is purple and the KCMO part is solid blue (Trump got 21% in 2024). So, 6 geographic districts - 2 that are solid red, and 3 at-large seats means 7 D's and 2 R's in the county legislature. My dad grew up in rural KS and still have a smattering of relatives there. They are a different 'brand' of Republican and much more establishment types, although they held their noses and voted for Trump in 2024. MO is odd too. Flipped red in 2012 but voters still pass things like medicaid expansion and a minimum wage increase in 2024?!
Our county is kind of a wash, but thankfully at the state level, no medicaid expansion, medical marijuana, etc. They haven't caved to the lobbyists - at least not yet. That's unfortunate about MO
Once you get out of the cities, MO loves Trump. My hubby, recently retired, but was in sales and covered half of MO. Sent me pics all the time about 'Trump' being painted on haybales, and flags and banners stayed up all through 2021-2024. But we have a relatively easy initiative petition process and out of state interests pay people to collect signatures to put liberal initiatives on the ballot and they nearly always pass. Sigh. I don't get it.
Amen to that, Donna. If we stir up a nest of hornets and kick back in our lawn chairs, we're dead. Complacency got us into this mess, and we're FAR from out of it. "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Peter 5:8). Or like a swarm of angry hornets.
In PA, Philly suburbs largely the same story. MIB are killing us! The have mastered the art and don’t even need much at all on Election Day. How about you?
They have had years to perfect this. They have also spent several decades infiltrating the schools. On top of that, you have outside NGOs paying people to walk.
We lost our last election to two progressives for city council. One of them campaigned on lies. (Surprise!) The other one campaigned on… lies. She was an incumbent who spent her entire last two years voting against the common sense majority. Then, when she was running, she took credit for everything the majority she opposed accomplished. Now, the yahoos are wanting to defund the police and a bunch of other crap.
In 2022, I ran for school board. I didn’t win. (My gain was the city’s loss.) There were two other common sense candidates and three far left crazies. The crazies won because there is a well-established Democrat Socialist Party masquerading as the Democratic Party. Regardless, the chickens are coming home to roost now. Our district is nearly bankrupt because of their frivolous spending. Parents are seeing it and taking their kids to other districts. The schools are crumbling.
Honestly, I was born and raised in CA. I’m fourth generation. (My daughter is 5th.) My husband and I are talking about moving in a few years unless something changes. I’m involved in our local politics now because I have to be, but I am tired of being one of the few voices to speak up. I can only carry them so much before I’m ready to walk away.
Conservatives have gotten lazy. That’s why we have the crazies.
Good for you for running! I ran for city council in 2018, lost to a longtime incumbent who was a soft R. It's a grind, for sure. My sister and hubby live in So Cal and she has started trying to get involved, helped with the Newsom recall effort and joined a local conservative group. But their kids are grown and now live in TX and OK, both conservatives, and suspect they will move when they retire in a few years.
Lazy, or indifferent, or afraid of the crazy left. Who will stalk them, try to get them fired, harass their family members and so on. The left eats, sleeps and breathes this stuff. Conservatives are involved in their church, working, coaching their kid's soccer team, etc. I didn't plug in much til my kids were HS age, but at least I always voted and did my research. 15% turnout when Trump won 52% says conservatives stayed home, as we lost by double digits.
And you know how it must have pained Reuters and others to have to write those headlines. Days later they are probably still twitching about the inflation/gas prices article.
SOON it will be "sky is falling!" headlines over DEFLATION, why a 2% inflation rate, $5/doz eggs, and $3/gal gas must be maintained and how Trump is destroying economic independence and laisse-faire Capitalism. LEFTISM is ALWAYS oppose the Enemy of the Revolution NO MATTER What, and only ever criticize the leaders of Revolution in order to widen, deepen, and more radically enforce its advancement.
Speaking of the deflation, unfortunately the numbers are still well over the 2020 inflation. We had a 19% inflation and the numbers are reflected off of that, so down 2% is still high.
The Fed's mandate, by law, is stable prices. When calculating inflation, the 2% is an exponent, and exponents are not at all stable. Exponents run away to infinity.
I don't expect the Democrat Party to disintegrate. There are too many mean, smug, virtue signalers. Reality and critical reflection aren't in their playbook. They're pathetic, hateful destroyers, and they ain't changing. That's not a fringe percentage of Americans, either.
My naive friend, relatively new to the game of political awareness, was so excited when Trump won. She thought all the good things he would do would benefit the haters as well and they would ‘see the light’.
I didn’t even try to explain. I knew she would see their nasty incorrigible essence soon enough.
I hope she does. I've noticed some on our side are slow to shed their naivete though. They can't see the haters as they are. They believe, despite all the evidence otherwise, in the universal intrinsic goodness of people.
well, except that it is likely only dried and hardened, not fermented, cabbage-headed democrats who will be caught with unexpected expectations of cpr from some kind of woke deus (diablo?) ex machina.
We’re riding a wave of miracles, but we're still a long way from shore. Steady as she goes, C&C army! “If my people . . . will seek My face . . . I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Article 88, provides “Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, . . . in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may be instituted.”
General Milley grossly violated Article 88 in his self-serving speech criticizing President Trump pandering to the Trump-deranged choir of Castroite castratos in late 2020 in which he also defended the Burnings,Lootings and Murders of that summer as being mere exercises of First Amendment rights. He should still be court-martialed and busted in rank down to PFC and pension and other benefits revoked.
Both Milley and Lloyd Austin need to be recalled to active for the botched surrender in Afghanistan and forcing the troops to take the experimental covid DeathVax against their will.
Yes Milley absolutely needs to be brought back for Treason, which I believe is NOT a pardonable offense. Bragging about telling his Chinese counterpart if Trump was up to anything which would concern China is absolutely Treason!!
I remember back when Lt. Col. Oliver North was often criticized by fellow Marines for compromising his professionalism by becoming a partisan for the Reagan administration. By contrast I thought Milley completely prostituted himself to Democrats partisan politics. And for what? Just to maintain his Chairmanship for the incoming illegitimate regime!
" .... Iran —a country perpetually two weeks from developing weapons of mass destruction, according to US intelligence professionals ... ". Thanks for saying this, I was starting to think I was the only person who noticed this. It started during Bush the Lesser-Elder, didn't it?
It took the Israelites a miracle of God to be jerked into freedom. Blacks still can't think like a freeman. Fearing failure and death is worse than being caged and starved by the slave minded. Jesus frees us from the fear of failure and death. Thats the miracle.
When the Hebrew slaves were freed and left Egypt with Moses, they all complained and wanted to go back to being slaves in Egypt. Note no on in that generation ever made it to the promised land, as the old mindset had to die out. Slavery is a mental condition and I see our government has continued to use that to their advantage. Enslaving people to living on a government check to next check and thinking they are truly living a free life. Eventually the checks get smaller as fewer people go to work and eventually checks will end as all socialist societies have done in the past.
I always tell people “freedom is dangerous” and “safety isn’t found in freedom” . No, freedom is difficult and it is fraught with danger but the alternative is to live in a gilded cage. A LOT of people love their gilded cage . How do you free someone who refuses to consider leaving their cage?
can you imagine the chaos that is going to be unleashed when the 30% of liberals on SSRIs have their supply interrupted due to the China trade being disrupted? Oh the self-indulgent liberal hairs on fire!!!
Yes I’m really tired of people who refuse to be disciplined in their words and deeds, and when they get called on it, whine, make excuses and blame everyone else 🙄
It's narcissistic evil brought about by the proliferation of the devil himself encouragement by lawless gov and parentlessness. Bottom line is no one takes responsibility to obey but the exact opposite. End times: polarization of obedience and worship of God vs selfishness and disobedience to all.
It’s about time they disciplined. Imagine a snarky, disrespectful teen that feels it’s their right to criticize and accuse their parent’s leadership to anyone that will listen, interfering with the smooth running of the household and rest of the family. When allowed that child becomes undisciplined, becomes a spoiled brat, and the household environment unravels. Discipline protects everyone from the spoiled brats.
I have a military FB friend I have muted because she’s said very disrespectful things about our President, the Sec of Defense and others in the Trump Administration. I used to respect her but then she said NOTHING about Biden, and is now complaining about Trump, it’s very telling and it really ticks me off 😡 She is allowed to have her private opinions but should NOT be sharing them in public even if it’s for a relatively limited group.
If someone has the information and intentions those are Kash and Bongino.
I guess for the record, Kash and Jan on the series of weakly shows for the Epoch Times documentary described exactly every step of the charade of Comey and Company.
Meantime Bongino took us by the hand describing every day for years all of the activities and actors that were working hard under Barry Soetoro to destroy Trump’s first term…..all of them…
He has names, numbers, emails, birthdates, favorite books, songs and dishes, and where are hiding………of all of them.
There is No Casualty that DJT chose his cabinet members.
Boom and boom with the boomerang.
Just one example; The Mexican Cartel are out of business and the (4T) Narcogoberment are shaking in their pants.
Maybe the President should invite him to the WH. Michigan’s Gov. Whitmer was there last week. She’s part of a bipartisan governor’s counsel on manufacturing and environment, (something like that). We all wondered why he selected her. She can’t stand him and from all appearances he doesn’t think much of her. She is term limited, so a hotly contested race in 2026. But she gave a speech to some Dem group in DC complaining about the tariffs and how bad Trump is. Later she is at the WH and invited to stand in a corner during a Trump EO signing/press conference. He singles her out during the press conference and says what a fine job she is doing. She looked absolutely mortified. Played! Afterward she tried to explain that she had no idea she was being included in a press conference, but had gone to the WH to discuss aid for the devastating ice storms that had hit northern Michigan in early April. That was the first time any of us heard this. She was in Spain during the ice storm on a junket. Almost like she knew…..
Jeff, you’re so great at breaking down the complex for us simple folk. The additional wit and occasional sarcasm, coupled with your alliterative flourishes paint a lovely mental picture of comprehension. I look forward to reading your substack each and every day! Thanks for the news and smiles. Cheers!
The thing you've gotta understand about tariffs is that they change behavior, and not just in the respective countries. US manufacturers now realize they simply must re-shore production, and they need to start today. Their Chinese counterparts are hearing war drums and feeling impending doom. China's evil leadership is also getting a message. They've acted in bad faith and committed acts of cyber war on us, and we're done pretending they're our friends. The US is the largest market, and China is the largest producer. We will remain the largest market, but will no doubt reclaim considerable production from China. I like our odds.
And we are “re” building our factories to utilize AI and robotic technology, which can eventually be as cheap as the slave labor that China has been using… our democrat constituents are the same Democrats that didn’t want slave labor to quit picking cotton. They don’t care about the fact that all these cheap Chinese products are made with slave labor.
I’m flabbergasted by the number of people, especially those like Christians and liberals who pretend to care about other people, blithely ordering all kinds of cheap goods from Shein etc., and crowing about how much money they’ve saved 😕
Much, if not most, of the fentanyl is put together/ manufactured in Vancouver from the Chinese precursors. . Then it is moved to other countries, including, but not limited to Mexico. So, that's not my, or Trump's idea of Canada not being massively involved in the fentanyl coming into the US.
That is correct and I’ve read that at the ports, they don’t even check for drugs on a regular basis, so the product gets shipped out, not going across land borders.
I know no one is promised anything in life, for instance that the business climate will be stable for ever and ever, Amen. But, the talks of tariffs, then no tariffs, then paused tariffs: it is certainly destabilizing, for stock market, but also, and much more so, for small businesses that sell China made products. It is almost without fail the "little people" who bear the brunt of uncertainty (lockdowns and "nonessential" businesses). I come across people affected by such things, and they have needed to make the hard decisions--not how much gas and food to get, but whether they should get gas OR food. It is tough to see this and not feel empathy. I am fortunate not to be in that situation. Can there not be clear signals from on high? What is the problem with wiping out tariffs across the board, reducing regulations, and thus creating a friendly business climate where we have to beat them down with a stick for flocking here 🤔 😉 😳 😜 🤣 ? I know...I'm a dreamer.
Re-Shore Production: I totally agree with the OP (Who is John Galt anyway?) Business leaders need to meet with the administration AND the Congress. If president Trump allowed Bill Mahr to speak, it is a near certainty that he would allow so called American Business to speak. The meeting has to be with the Congress also because otherwise the businesses will consider whatever they have done as temporary.
I would like to see a reverse Congressional hearing where we the people get to ask the Congress why they did the things that led to the offshoring in the first place. I realize that from time-to-time the proletariat is allowed an audience with the "Honorables" but the Congress treat it like they are in power instead of answering to us. They abuse and cutoff witnesses and only push their own agenda.
Perhaps in this reverse hearing, the Democrats can be questioned by Conservatives and the Republicans by Liberals. I doubt the later would have much to disagree but still. Make it a debate format where the questioners only get to ask questions and can interrupt if the politician is not answering the question but not for anything else.
I would like to interview judges myself but not in "Their" courtroom and under their control. It is not a personal dislike. I have not been before a judge or a jury. I would like to do this only because that seems to be the only branch of government that does not answer to "we the people" in any way.
Jeff joking that Ayatollah Khomeneih is getting U.S. Social Security and has covid loans... now that's funny. It would be hilarious if DOGE actually verified it as true...
Exactly! Hot damn Mr. President, I am so proud of you and your admin. Waste Management is taking care of business! I am especially thankful that I am alive during this Presidency and thank you with all my heart for what you are doing!
I'm getting more and more cheerful every day in every way!! stocking up champagne for when the first of the deep state is perp walked... somewhere mid next year is what I guess is going to happen. Also we are in the middle of a grand solar maximum and planetary alignment not seen since 529 B.C. .... when coinage was introduced. ... While I do not follow astrology and solar physics I do follow people who follow it.... Don't miss the super charged and magnificently bright full moon tonight at 7:30 p.m. central. Will this current alignment result in a new monetary system? hmmmm... inquiring minds and all
But it must make it difficult for corporate executives trying to plan investment, marketing, and production. Unless they eschew imported inputs, they can't forecast. Very few kinds of production don't use imported machinery or materials.
I was doing the same thing and also Don Surber Highlights of the week which are always great! Love Ms Nickson though she is relentless. Always hits with both fists where it counts.
In the “old days” being exiled to Thule was a kind of threat for poorly performing military folks (“F— this up and you’re going to Greenland”). Perhaps it’s not as austere a location as it once was. Nevertheless, if this officer is allowed to remain on active duty, her career progression has hit an end. Adios, amigo
They probably gave her a LT job in Millington. She won’t promote as she will have a field code 17 in her record… and every promotion board member will see it every year she goes up. It is bye bye.
Like approximately 'all' DEI hires, she had absolutely no conception of the 'FO' part of the FAFO equation wrt receiving criticism that is certainly justifiable.
Actually she would have a direct line to the base Jag (lawyer) who has told her multiple times about this very thing. You can not criticize your chain of command. During COVID, elections and Damn ass Biden stuff, we would get an email reminding us what is allowed and what will get you in trouble. I couldn’t wait to retire so I could speak my mind.
Perhaps some unnamed DeepState monitoring post within Syria or 100 yards from Iran's border where she can pine about feelings of others all she cares to
So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.
NPR did a story within past couple years...Danish doctors who were routinely and deceptively sterilizing the Women of Greenland as standard medical Government policy, for DECADES!
Vance should list the Colonialist-Racist wrongs done to the non-white population of Greenland by the oppressive Imperialist Danish govt.
That is beyond foul. What gave them the right to do that. May those doctors balls fall off if men and the women docs have perpetual menopause with the worst symptoms beyond perpertuity.
I remember this. Not the NPR story, I think many news outlets picked it up. Seems they concentrated a lot of their efforts on indigenous Inuit women. Can't get much more oppressive colonialist than that. But they are Europeans so they get a pass.

My God, my friend you are wearing yourself out? Connoisseurs of excellent prose will enjoy bantering over your posts for years to come. I am in awe.
Childers is a "metaphoric master", isn't he, Sue!!
Same!! I often listen to C&C on the Substack app usually running on Civil War battlefield next to my neighborhood and I hysterically laugh out loud most every day!!
I am forever indebted to Jeff for my daily caffeinated dose
Yep, an alliterate metaphorical magician. 👍😂 He really is.
Jeff is improving my vocabulary!!
I think I spend more time correcting Apple's talk-to-text "feature" than I would if I just typed the dang thing to begin with.
EXACTLY - you're in the minority though, Andrew--most people I know who use that app just "send" the silly stuff without corrections!
Yes, they do and it's normally totally incoherent. 😖
Nice. I was thinking Jeff tossed out "Pituffik" in reference to a misguided "maternal instinct" in the military, much like Twain dismissing shuffleboard as "horse billiards." Now I have two wonderfully gentle expressions of contempt.
Horse billiard! now that’s a picture.
Welcome to the party! Better late than never, right?
If I felt worn out looking for ways “to express how novel and unprecedented it all is,” I'd bask in the glow of this: “We are witnessing a mature and muscular Executive Branch calmly flexing the full strength of its legal powers and cracking its regulatory knuckles.” That's a LONG way from worn out.
It's not exactly either prose or poetry.
Prosetry, perhaps?
Yes, and I've shared it with all my family and friends. Their response has been great gratitude.
I chuckled over his description of the ships Trump sent to Iranian waters: "aircraft carriers (5 holes), ten cruisers (3 holes), and the battleship (4 holes)." Jeff can find a way to inject humor into the gravest of situations.
Amazing ha…
But i am in trouble 'cause ESL...
What tiepos?
Toupees ???
😆😆😆
Typos? We don't see no stinkin' typos!!!
I don't see Jeff's 'typos' b/c I'm overcome with his dazzlingly massive vocabulary!
I like the content if I can still understand I don’t care! #winning YES TO BORDER SECURITY! Yes to MILITARY STRENGTH and uniform. ❤️🤍💙💪🏽🇺🇸❤️
"How DARE you," said Greta, in her plastic boots, while stomping on the deck of her plastic yacht.
The only expected parts are coffee and Covid being a daily dose of sanity, while insane pearl clutching media melts down: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/pearl-clutching-centrists-fake-conservatives
I love it when you interject!
Loved that 'stack, Comrade! ❤️🔥
That was fun!
Thank you Yuri for your correction of the dubious 'Hanlon's Razor' that is part of my library.
Doug Casey has this correction to the 'National Security" scam too.
https://www.crisisinvesting.com/p/national-security-is-bullshit
Also, those legal games being played to skirt around existing laws are very bothersome for the bad precedents they may set. It reeks of 'the ends justifying the means'.
Yes to daily dose of sanity 🙌🏽
Excellent Yuri
LOCAL MATTERS!!
There’s lots to learn about being a candidate.
Been there, I always get 25% (at least) over the required number. Next time.
Good for you Jeanne! We
moved to NV from the East Bay during the height of covid insanity.
So, Roger. . . class of '69 then?!
Yes, but of Radnor, PA high school.
Yes, too,
but of Streator Township HS, Illinois.
Born in Champagne, lived Elmhurst through 4th grade
college in Champaign, Urbana. . .
small world, huh?
upsetting. I have tried so many times to get involved locally and no one will call me back from the republicans. I don't get it.
Scott Pressler
YES, he came to KC and spoke in 2022, and it was standing room only, great message on getting off the couch and getting involved! Look up 'boundless energy' and it should be a picture of him.
No, we Republicans need to be more vocal and involved. Pride in our party.
Easier to take over the R locally, though not saying it is easy.
Wow....im so thankful 4 this. I will order and read
Because winred sucks, and most hate trump.
Skimred
well you don't say where you are, but I have heard that in solid red counties, that it is more of a club than a true party.
Attend a local meeting. Loud voices are needed.
🤗 I'm not alone! That makes me feel better! Maybe they like being losers and they don't want any new people that might mess that up. 😖😱
We have the country club Republicans on the run in our county, but it didn't happen overnight. It's a constant battle, though, as most of the grassroots folks don't have a lot of money but many in the establishment crowd do write big checks.
Me too!
Ignore the R's - reach out to the candidates themselves. Or attend a SB or city council meeting and just observe. I wandered into a city council meeting in 2010 and been active ever since from what I saw there.
Donna - what did you see at your city council meeting in 2010 that motivated your involvement in local governance?
Sounds like they need you to stay involved with the shift from red to purple. Good job for your involvement!
Makes me so mad!😡
Precisely! We need to do a whole lot more than complain about the miserable environment around us.
Especially for judges, they seem to be overturning the will of the people
Demos definitely have the local cheating game down.
Godspeed.
Too bad ‘outside’ money is allowed.
I wonder how many of the unaffiliated aren't really crypto-republicans, especially in a college town. Colleges are liberal magnets
They are 'normal' Democrats; the registered ones are more like Progressives
GOTTA GET THE VOTE OUT> get the couch potatos off the sofa!
Cheated!
Great analogy & verse! Pretty much sums it up in my town, we were out-worked by the hornets.
This is not good news!
In PA, Philly suburbs largely the same story. MIB are killing us! The have mastered the art and don’t even need much at all on Election Day. How about you?
Opps! Slippage...
Inflation at 2% is a crime.
The Fed's mandate, by law, is stable prices. When calculating inflation, the 2% is an exponent, and exponents are not at all stable. Exponents run away to infinity.
WE are the REVOLUTION. text book example.
Yeah, it seems they are unexpectedly baffled.
Unexpectedly flummoxed. It’s an epidemic!
“Unexpectedly” headlines coming soon, the one I will enjoy the most is “Democratic Party unexpectedly disintegrates”.
I sincerely hope you are correct, NothingButNet. However, we know how strong evil can be.
Haha. Yes!
Praying for 🙏
🙌 YES! I want to see that one, too! 🤗
Well I’m not taking anything off the table these days.
AOC for President in 2028! 👍👍😂😂
Wonderfully said. 😂😂👍🏻
Milley could be brought back to active duty and then be courtmartialed along with reduction of rank.
Love this!
Both Milley and Lloyd Austin need to be recalled to active for the botched surrender in Afghanistan and forcing the troops to take the experimental covid DeathVax against their will.
Who remembers Austin’s stuuuupid outfit like he’s Darth Vader hahahaha!!!! Such a disgrace to Darths character in general. That photo will never die
That photo epitomized not only the insanity of covid, but also how far the military fell under Biden.
Weakened! Ugh disgusting
Agreed, Milley is not only a POS, he is a pussy to boot. Repugnant coward.
Patient little grasshopper…
I’m for it!
That is libeling PFCs!
Be fun to see on front lines. If we needed front lines this term. Probably not, but boy would he be effed with!
"Ayatollah Khomeneih (106, and probably drawing U.S. Social Security and sixteen covid loans) ...", odds are he voted for Biden & Harris.
At least three times, plus casting ballots for each of his wives and concubines.
He is likely also collecting unemployment checks from the U.S.
No doubt!😂
So hilarious!
others report he is 85... I actually went to look.. 106? where is that documented.
Did you not notice Jeff's tongue firmly planted in his cheek?
Exactly, he’s done the same thing with Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell (exaggerate their age for comic effect).

" .... Iran —a country perpetually two weeks from developing weapons of mass destruction, according to US intelligence professionals ... ". Thanks for saying this, I was starting to think I was the only person who noticed this. It started during Bush the Lesser-Elder, didn't it?
Republicans in Kansas should invite Iranian officials to personally meet the Satanists at their Capitol, just to break the ice
Wait, ice?? So hell really HAS frozen over now?? 😆😂
😁😀😂🤣
My thoughts too! The endless, success undefined, war on terror.
Back when Obama picked up the hysteria after Cheney was slapped down, the CSM ran a timeline.
https://www.csmonitor.com/World/Middle-East/2011/1108/Imminent-Iran-nuclear-threat-A-timeline-of-warnings-since-1979/Earliest-warnings-1979-84
The Christian science monitor is a far left rag.
Perpetual war meant perpetual profits for Halliburton and the Cheneys.
Yes that’s been the mantra for decades Iran is on the absolute verge this week of completion of the Nuclear Bomb.
Yep, they'll have one in two weeks. BTW, the Durham special council report will be released at just about the same time...
5 holes, 4 holes, 3 holes, lol. I appreciate the Battleship reference, brings back memories.
Hilarious! I laughed all the way through! Jeff at his finest 👍😎
Always!
Agree 💯%
Genius.
But he left out the most deadly of all, the Submarine, an SSGN.
Or an SSBN!
Possible, but I know the Georgia is there.
I know!! That was awesome 😁😂
I played it for the first time in like 50 yrs a few weeks ago with my grandson. Jeff cracked me up with that one
Lol, I was wondering what he meant by that 🤣 🤦
“Towel snapping distance” cracked me up! The image that popped in my head was hilarious!! 😂
That was my favorite today. Lol
Agree, that one was *chef’s kiss* 😁
"I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but discipline is essential to the military, ...".
Very true but it isn't just the military. Discipline is required where ever chains of command exist; say FBI, CIA and every other governmental entity.
The Federal, and most state government's are not job programs.
And self-Discipline is required of every human being, especially in adulthood. That used to be a generally common thing.
leftism is about never growing up
Leftism is literally destroying society: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/how-the-democrats-are-destroying
leftism is about believing everything is supposed to be free.
And everyone else is at fault and responsible for things except you 😑
Slavery is free.
I always tell people “freedom is dangerous” and “safety isn’t found in freedom” . No, freedom is difficult and it is fraught with danger but the alternative is to live in a gilded cage. A LOT of people love their gilded cage . How do you free someone who refuses to consider leaving their cage?
Dang, another great bumper sticker!
can you imagine the chaos that is going to be unleashed when the 30% of liberals on SSRIs have their supply interrupted due to the China trade being disrupted? Oh the self-indulgent liberal hairs on fire!!!
They better stock up so they can properly wean themselves off of them.
I doubt that will happen, and if it does it’ll be horrible for those on SSRIs, you can’t just quit them cold turkey.
It is at the root of the death of a civil society with a work ethic, combined with the end of individual responsibility
Agree
Self-control is the last of nine fruit of the Holy Spirit listed in Gal 5:22-23; a gift from God to guide us.
Yes I’m really tired of people who refuse to be disciplined in their words and deeds, and when they get called on it, whine, make excuses and blame everyone else 🙄
Yes, always play the victim too.
💯
But … but didn’t all these spoiled brats rise to the top in the Democrat Party. And, still run it?
Yes, and they need to be disciplined badly 🤣😆
Then those children become Democrats
Raising children also
I think that's where it all went wrong.
I'm not trying to raise children.
I'm trying to raise adults.
Amen!!
the problem is they are in fact jobs programs
Help has arrived, believe me.
GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸
Bongino, another Israel Firster.
Except in Pa where Gov Shapiro wrote an EO for the state to give hiring preference to the feds that have been let go😜
Maybe the President should invite him to the WH.
Anyway, the President played her like a fiddle.
Jeff, you’re so great at breaking down the complex for us simple folk. The additional wit and occasional sarcasm, coupled with your alliterative flourishes paint a lovely mental picture of comprehension. I look forward to reading your substack each and every day! Thanks for the news and smiles. Cheers!
Ditto.
Well put!
Thank you! Gotta give credit where credit is due!
I’m flabbergasted by the number of people, especially those like Christians and liberals who pretend to care about other people, blithely ordering all kinds of cheap goods from Shein etc., and crowing about how much money they’ve saved 😕
https://youtu.be/MKTN2OiR2R8?si=QTK3XiXzKMdRUnqY
Wow spot on SNL 😮
I won’t buy anything from them and when I mention slave labor to a few friends who just love all the cheap clothes they just poo poo me.
Same 😕😞
More than cyber war... chemical/bio weapons like COVID-19.
And they still refuse to stop sending the fentynal precursors to Mexico and Canada. they look upon it a a bargaining chip
Fentanyl coming across Canadian borders accounts for 1% of the imports.
Interesting.
China owns ~ 30 % of Vancouver, and pretty much the Canadian government
It would be hilarious if DOGE actually verified it as true...
those pallets of cash that Obama sent Iran weren't loans though
I will give you a hint.
13 Billion Dollars CA$H money in pallets flown directly from USA to the Ayatollahs.
Courtesy of Barack Housein Obama and John Kerri
?🥴
Yeah, me too Carlos!🤔
Can you say this in English ?
🎯
Both hilarious and it wouldn’t surprise me at all.
It is absolutely impossible not to feel cheerful about everything that is finally happening, and at such speed!
Exactly! Hot damn Mr. President, I am so proud of you and your admin. Waste Management is taking care of business! I am especially thankful that I am alive during this Presidency and thank you with all my heart for what you are doing!
Trump Speed (Jeff C.)
Or, to rewrite that famous covid era line: “at the speed of Trump.”
Right?!!!!
Happy Saturday!! Beautiful Day here in the Yakima Valley…
I would have been first, but I as caught up in reading Elizebeth Nickson, Welcome to Absurdistan this morning….
She is finally back from her sabbatical.
I was doing the same thing and also Don Surber Highlights of the week which are always great! Love Ms Nickson though she is relentless. Always hits with both fists where it counts.
I read that too, great article.
Uncle Juan,
You’re still number one in my book 📕 Have a blessed and beautiful day!
She's fantastic.
I would love to to see Salt Spring again, this time as a tourist, and bump into her.
Great ☕🦠!
A special little dirge for the DEI Colonel as she cleans out her desk:
🎶 "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye...🎶
Next stop Indian Reservation post!
Will we hear her removal has been blocked by a federal judge? When will her lawsuit be announced?
They are so tiresome.
😭 bwaah
What a woke ass kisser she is. Well, she kissed the wrong ass. Too bad, so sad!
No, court martial
In the “old days” being exiled to Thule was a kind of threat for poorly performing military folks (“F— this up and you’re going to Greenland”). Perhaps it’s not as austere a location as it once was. Nevertheless, if this officer is allowed to remain on active duty, her career progression has hit an end. Adios, amigo
Lots of herring and kippers for chow at Greenland base, not that bad.🥴
They probably gave her a LT job in Millington. She won’t promote as she will have a field code 17 in her record… and every promotion board member will see it every year she goes up. It is bye bye.
I read somewhere she was already considering retiring, and she definitely should now!!
Perhaps some unnamed DeepState monitoring post within Syria or 100 yards from Iran's border where she can pine about feelings of others all she cares to
Bye Bye DEI hire! 😃
She was to cold in Greenland, new post Salomon Islands.
With no AC
Or military tribunal
No, court martial or Captain’s Mast. Mostly like Captain’s Mast and I expect she already had it.
Agreed

So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

Amen and Amen 🙏
Just sharing…
Shabbat Shalom Erev Pesach (Eve of Passover)
First Seder tonight.
Happy Passover.
It is our fault we saw it (His beauty) no sooner
That we did not love Him sooner
I ought to have loved God always. It is of His mere mercy that I love Him now.
"My wife went in for exam and dehydration and got an accidental tubal ligation"
I remember this. Not the NPR story, I think many news outlets picked it up. Seems they concentrated a lot of their efforts on indigenous Inuit women. Can't get much more oppressive colonialist than that. But they are Europeans so they get a pass.
While at the same time opening their borders to every person in the world who hates them.
Europeans colonized North America…though
What does that mean? What point are you attempting but failing to make about Danish treatment of indigenous Inuit women in Greenland?
Was Bill Gates an advisor in that effort?
Great idea!
Ooh I second this idea!!
