It's hard to understand anyone who would vote against the SAVE act.

Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, et. al, all warned that democracies lead to tyranny due to the uneducated electorate and Plato elaborated by using the metaphor of sailing a ship (do you want an incompetent captain and crew who have never sailed a ship to steer the ship?)

Plato also used the metaphor of the oligarch giving birth to the democrat who gave birth to the tyrant. So, the constitutional republic that was supposed to restrain democracy gave birth to a corporatocracy giving us too many industrial complexes.

Politico Phil's avatar

Well, America isn't the America of my youth, ie, the America we all wish it still is. When nearly one-third of the US population are now aliens, ie, non-citizens, the SAVE Act is pretty close to a life or death issue for the Demonrat Party which is well on it's way to extinction.

Addendum: I feel impelled to add that the "writing is on the wall" for all to see who have eyes. Out of a total population of 330 million, aliens now account for about 105 million, half of which are illegal and the other half on visas. In 1970, white Christian Americans accounted for 90% of the population. Today, that number is less than 60% and falling. The reproduction rate of white Americans is below the replacement rate. The reproduction rate of the alien immigrants is prolly around 5 or 6 babies per wife and frequently, a man has multiple wives.

Just do the math. White America is headed for extinction or close to it. This is what I mean by "the writing is on the wall". (For non-Christians, that is a Biblical reference.)

Yes, the SAVE Act interferes with mail in ballot box stuffing which got uncle Joe into office.

I live in a state that has had ONLY mail ballots for decades. In that time period, Oregon has gone from a quirky but normal state to full batshit crazy.

More than one election has been settled with an amazing discovery of ballots in the middle of the night that magically had just enough Democrat votes to turn the election to the Democrats.

Mail in ballots result in compromised elections. Change my mind.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Exactly. Mass illegal immigration and Massive/wholesale mail in ballot fraud is stealing our country. The corrupt crime-ocrats (and by that I mean 99% of dems and all rinos) know their only chance to win is to load the election full of fake ballots (rinos do it during the primaries to get to the general, then some of them win and some of them lose to make it appear our elections are legit.) When illegals came across the border the first mission was to register them to vote in their final state for the federal elections with the ballot going to a drop house to be voted by a dem operative. And since there is no chain of custody and no requirement to show an ID to get a ballot, it becomes simple to steal an election.

DS's avatar

I used to live in Oregon. Oregon went to the mail-in ballots in 1987. The last Republican Governor for Oregon was from 1979-1987 (Vic Atyiyeh). Not a coincidence. I agree that mail-in ballots result in compromised elections.

Duckduffer's avatar

You really don't even have to be critical to see how it's messed up Oregon. Just look at the box checking politicians, Kate Brown was the first openly LGBT Gov in Oregon. By the end of her term, Brown had the lowest approval ratings of any incumbent U.S. governor at that time. Do we really believe residents of OR then voted in Tina Kotek? "May I have some more sir, please?" Umm...no.

Sharon Michael's avatar

Same is true here in Washington. All the elections seem rigged to me.

Marcus's avatar

The same thing happens in Washington State. I cleary remember the 2004 Governor election. Dino Rossi (R) won the election over Christine Gregoire (D). Gregoire demanded a recount, Rossi won the second count. Gregoire demanded another count and lo and behold a box of ballots was found behind the break room refrigerator and they were all Gregoire votes and she wins the Governor race. Horse lucky!!! They clearly cheated Rossi.

My state is Bat$hit crazy as well. Sideshow Bob is actively doing everything he can to install an income tax against the wishes of the population and the State Constitution. I love my beautiful State, but the politicians that have held the Capitol for 4 decades have run it into the ground.

Sadly the America of our youth was setting the stage we are dealing with today. The so called greatest generation, which includes my parents whom I love, were not as great as we like to think. For the most part their offspring are responsible for the events of the day.

It's disappointing because what we thought we had back in the day was really the calm before the storm; and it didn't have to be like this, but nobody stopped it when it could have been stopped.

The Greatest Generation label is an overworked label out of nowhere. Perhaps it was used to glorify WWII as validation of the political New World Order drive which was then being sought after?

The moms of that generation called 'the greatest' were real ladies and the men for the most part were manly and came with a code of ethics now sorely lacking. Men were men and women were still women, and all in a recognizable way. In this sense, these folks were 'great' compared to huge numbers of today's 'anything goes' population who seem to be lost fractured identity souls . However, the moms and dads of the so-called 'greatest' generation had no way of knowing what future was being engineered for them from on high by the wicked Dear Leader class, people like front man David Rockefeller. Walter Conkite surely was not going to let any dirty secrets out of the bag on the CBS Evening News. America was daily being betrayed for the whole of our dad's and mom's lives and they had no way of knowing the extent of it because 'news' was already all bottled up by the corporate press of the day.

But in present time, the younger generations, many of them want to be real men and woman again, and they long for sanity to return back to life. Such are my daily rays of sunshine.

Karmy's avatar

In the 60's, God started to be removed from our culture. Prayer was removed from school. People were encouraged to be free to experiment so morality went out the door with the sexual revolution. The following decades were just a spiral into degeneracy. Now we are at a point where satanism is being boldly showcased in our culture. In state governments, schools, music, movies, etc. Conversely, many young people (Gen Z) are returning to the Church. There is a hunger for tradition, morality and God. Aslan is on the move and I pray that the younger generation will bring a resurgence of greatness to America. We need to turn to God, repent of our sins, otherwise it will be as God planned to do to the people of Ninevah. Praise be to God for He is good all the time. His mercy endures forever.

One comment I would add to these good ones is this biblical truth from the book of Ecclesiastes 1:9:

That which has been is what will be,

That which is done is what will be done,

And there is nothing new under the sun.

Each generation has good and evil because of the curse of SIN!

Thank God, He has made a way to redeem His creation and mankind made in His image - with the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ! Amen!

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

I agree with most all of what you say, but have a very hard time assigning a "generation" as being more inclined to failure than another.

I would like to add that during the entire duration of our republic Bureaucracy has recursively built upon itself. The resulting level of complication(Gov. Employees, laws, regs, populism, and special interests) catalyzed crises as various stages of critical mass were reached. Just as the stock market spikes high and eventually dumps, the mess you see now is likely the culmination of critical mass causing catastrophic situations.

I assign this mess to entropy.

Proberta's avatar

I love when newbies blame the Boomers.

Boomers fought back. We marched, we protested, we circulated petitions, we demonstrated, we fought back.

The subsequent generations did NOTHING.

Did you stop the flouride, the autism-causing childrens vaxxines, the Chemtrailing, the 5(G), the deliberate dumbing-down of American children, the glyphosates?

No, you played video games. And did NOTHING.

The subsequent generations are THE reason the New World 0rder is unfolding exactly as planned and on schedule.

You did nothing.

Karmy's avatar

That's because they all got participation trophies for just showing up. They didn't have to try at all.

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

Saying "generation" is a generalization for a focal point.

It's easier to trust your government, until it's too late. As far as I know there has never been a government that should have been trusted. They are always corrupt; always. That was true throughout the 20th century too.

Karmy's avatar

Man's nature is corrupt. That's what got us into this situation in the first place with Adam and Eve.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I disagree, they were great, they worked hard, made babies (didn't murder them) and families and built the nation post WW2. If they failed anywhere, it was in trusting their elected officials, most of whom were and are deeply corrupt criminals with hidden agendas.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

On a different subject and re: "Mojtaba Khamenei". He hasn't been seen, or heard from in several days. I believe he is iran's version of an autopen leader (like braindead retard biden) and the underlings and IRGC will be the ones actually running the show. So, if Israel and/or the US hits him (there are rumors he was wounded in the strike that killed daddy terrorist and wifey terrorist) it wont really mean anything to how the country is being run.

Leskunque Lepew's avatar

IRGC structure is probably running everything there.

The big question is where are those protesters and their leadership? Obviously, they fear the IRGC.

Politico Phil's avatar

True. In the 50s and 60s America was still coasting on the inherited cultural capital of prior generations while the contemporary generation was basking in the "glory" of having been the "heroes" of the greatest forever-war in American history, the great war of WWI/II.

Maureen Hanf's avatar

Yes, agree. Speaking for my long gone parents who might be considered to be decent working class people who worked hard to get to middle class. They had a firm idea that the march of history was inevitable and the way it had always been was the way it would always be. They assumed a continual march of constant incremental improvements that all sane people would support, just as they all saw all sane people pull together on the war efforts. They further always presumed any enemies would come from outside, never dreaming any could come from within, still less that anything they were doing would cause problems later on.

But the most important thing, to critically examine their leaders, went against the 'we're all in this together now' approach. And i think that thought didn't occur to them and perhaps others until after at least another decade of coasting from prior generations work as well as post-war euphoria.

Thankfully they had their final declines on the late nineties, just when things were starting to take a noticeable turn for the worse and by the first few years of the early '00's, they were gone without understanding how bad things were starting to get.

That assumption of things always improving, people always pulling together sensibly, and the most optimistic view possible of politicians has proved disastrous.

Yet, if they were here today, I doubt they would understand what happened. In their case, they just wanted to be left alone to live their lives and let smarter, fully trusted people handle the big stuff. They were not alone in those beliefs. A lesson that taking things for granted and insulating oneself from realities is a terrific way to have a nation slip through your fingers.

It will be a very long time until there is another generation in that position again.

JudyC's avatar

So agree, but in fairness I look at the truths we have uncovered in the last six years and I can understand how so many missed what was happening. I remember thinking after the 2020 (s)election, as I was going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole, that I wished it was JUST about a stolen election. I’m thankful my parents never lived to see what was uncovered.

You could well be correct and I certainly can't refute your historical citations but isn't it kind of OUR FAULT, We The People, who failed in each of our respective States, to restrain the Federal government?

Liz LaSorte's avatar

Absolutely. We the People lost our way. We forgot that we are supposed to take care of ourselves. So, instead of wanting the government to protect us, as in our founding, we allowed for the government to take care of us. Bad idea!

We allowed this madness to happen - in 1913 with the 16th and 17th Amendments and the Federal Reserve Act. People were outraged during the Giled Age and created the progressive movement where the big government will take care of the people.

And, then in the 1930s, the depression era big government made it worse, and then in the 1960s, it turbo charged the idea of big government with the War on Poverty, and so on...

But, what if we examined the big federal government and checked off what agencies protect us v. what agencies take care of us, get rid of the "taking care of us" agencies and let the rich fund charities again, instead of the government: https://lizlasorte.substack.com/p/let-the-rich-fund-charity-again?r=76q58

Juju's avatar

I’d say our public academic institutions over the past 30-40 years didn’t properly teach our nation’s children, specifically so most of those children grew up expecting that it’s normal and proper for the government to take a bigger role in taking care of us. We were given a much different assembly diagram for our bikes of freedom, and it’s missing both the pedals and the brakes.

Most people don’t understand that it’s our fault, and weren’t given the right kind of education to be able to recognize that. Are they really guilty or were they misled down the wrong road?

Liz LaSorte's avatar

I hear you. When I was about 7 or so, my Dad used to tell me "ignorance is no excuse." That's how I was brought up. A bit extreme for a child, but it's really the truth. No excuses.

That said, I graduated from Univ. of DE in 1989 with enough credits to be a history minor (and I was too ignorant to do the papework, thus I'm just an English major). But my point is, is that I took so much American history - because I loved it - but here's the real kicker: with all that early American history, I never learned about our founder Robert Yates (Brutus) - until not that long ago when reading the Anti-Federalist Papers out of curiosity.

Thing is - Brutus warned us of all the corruption we know today. But he got vaporized down the memory hole as an "Anti-Federalist."

Brutus was right about everything: https://lizlasorte.substack.com/p/brutus-was-right-about-everything?r=76q58

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

You are correct up to the point you say ".... we weren't given ....".

GregWA's avatar

I'll have to re-read my history (really, not being snarky...as much as I LOVE that) but I don't think the People created the progressive movement.

I like all the comments here about how America used to be, how we used to be more rooted in the Constitution and individual responsibility. However, to give our parent's generation a little slack, just a little, those pushing communism (let's not call it progressivism, leftism, whateverism...call it what it is) were and are deeply misguided. Deeply as in suicidally misguided.

And our parents did not push back on that. But to be fair, neither are we! The entire Dem Party is captive to that evil. Mamdummy is a lot of things, but above all else I suspect he is a "good Muslim". Meaning that his deepest desire is to see all of us dead! Sure, converted would be ok too, but in the dark heart of the Islamists, they want murder more than converts. I don't know their hearts...I'm just judging by their actions.

Liz LaSorte's avatar

Our founders tried to make the constituion rock solid, but in 1913, 3/4 of the states voted for the 16th Amendment (income tax = big government), 17th Amendment (so dumbheads like Kamala Harris could not be a senator) but worst of all, perhaps is that Congress voted for the Federal Reserve Act that created the banking cartel we know today.

And, the Progressive era followed the Gilded Age. Why is that?

Politico Phil's avatar

All of the comments and observations in this thread are part of the truth. As Biblical history illustrates, the underlying truth to this whole thread is that civil government always ends up becoming the enemy of the people. Why? Because as Richard Maybury said, "Power corrupts the morals and the judgement." The political earthquake that fractured the constitutional bedrock of our former republic was the Lincoln war of 1861 which was subsequently lionized by the Lincoln Memorial temple of worship, the greatest war president in American history. From that point forward, the USG has forever been on a quest for more and more centralized power over the people. And the rest is history, albiet aided and abetted by the centuries old British banking empire who twice failed to conquer by force the rebellious Americans in 1775 and 1812.

And without becoming weak in faith he [Abraham] contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to do. Therefore it was also counted to him as righteousness. Now not for his sake only was it written that it was counted to him, but for our sake also, to whom it will be counted, as those who believe upon Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, He who was delivered over on account of our transgressions, and was raised on account of our justification.

Hard to believe there are still open court cases concerning "comply or starve" forced vaccination protocols, i.e., forced medical procedures. See also: forced bodily intrusions. Nevermind that these wonder shots can maim or kill you. How much more evidence needs to be brought to the table? This has to be settled in court?! Truly mind boggling. I shake my head in utter disbelief. The covid/vaxx perps sure knew what they were doing. Played us like a knock-off Stradavarius.

How about this: “Good morning everyone. For the good of the company, there's been a new set of protocols put in place, one of which is all female employees must sleep with the boss. Those with ideological or religious “complications” will be escorted off property. Refusal will result in your immediate termination.” Well, that would just be ridiculous.

Fauci is in the box with Schrödinger’s cat.

Yeah, I saw that. Not in the least bit surprising. I doubt it'll ever hit mainstream.

clearly a violation of the Nuremberg protocols and the government's own rules about "experimental" medications - should be a slam dunk for the plaintiffs and I hope the punitive award is staggering to United and a lesson to every other business

The Imaginary Hobgoblin's avatar

Yeah…we've all witnessed plenty of slam dunk moments that bounced unceremoniously off the rim. This place is a lunatic asylum. Fauci, Gates et al still making the rounds sailing off the wake of their most recent contrived maim and murder spree.

Demeisen's avatar

The push continues in medicine, students are required to get the COVID shots for clinical rotations. All the "systems" still continually push COVID boosters. Stupid security theater type masking protocols.

With Trumps beautiful vaccine which killed, I mean, "saved millions".

Politico Phil's avatar

One of the few "constants" I've been able to identify behind all the drama on the political stage is the fact that every aspect of the Depopulation Agenda is still operational and unimpeded by the Trump regime. The crowning piece of this Agenda is the military's slow-kill bio-weapon injection that is STILL supported by Trump.

The Imaginary Hobgoblin's avatar

A great big beautiful uniparty.

Politico Phil's avatar

That is another "constant" that never seems to go away thanks in large part to the RINOs, ie, Republican NeoCons who are sold out to the MIC.

The Imaginary Hobgoblin's avatar

It's interesting to behold. Some topics - immigration, for example - are easily distinguishable, but so many other massively important topics get drawn out or totally pushed aside by both sides. I use “both” in the loosest of terms.

Exactly.

Or, pregnancy and child rearing interferes with your commitment to the workplace. Mandatory sterilization for all.

The Imaginary Hobgoblin's avatar

At this stage of the game I'm giving up on trying to make sense of anything that's out of my control. It's a sure path to insanity.

“Yesterday, midwit Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) posted a selfie arguing against the SAVE America Act that was so ridiculous and moronic that I briefly lost confidence in our constitutional system of government itself. Her argument —and I wish I were making this up— was that married women won’t be able to navigate an ID requirement to vote.”

One google search reveals how “complicated” it is for married women to get the “required documents” needed to register to vote.

I called the county clerk’s office, an hour from where I live now, and requested copy of my first marriage certificate (from 49 years ago). It cost $16.50 to have them certify and mail to me the same day. It was so hard!!

Curtis's avatar

And thank about all the poor POC folks who are unable to get to the DMV office because it's just too hard....

Terri Mauro's avatar

Any woman who got herself an official ID with her married name on it already went through this "I am who I was and here's who I am" exercise to get that ID in the first place. If you're lucky, you put those documents someplace safe to use whenever you needed multiple points of identification for a driver's license or a passport or a job or whatever, in which case you already have what you need. If not, you got it once, you can get it again.

Juju's avatar

If it’s that complicated, then clearly Hirono is in a job that is way beyond her capabilities. She should immediately resign before she hurts herself and others.

Unwoke in Idaho's avatar

John Thune is spineless. Except when it comes to being against doing the right thing, then he has a stubborn spine.

These senatewhores are so worthless. Even the ones who want to do the right thing don’t want to depose the very jerk that stands in the way of them doing the right thing.

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

He is disgusting and worthless. He certainly doesn't represent his constituents. Way too many in the Senate who believe they are the sole arbiter of policy, the people be damned.

Barbara ( Portlander😵‍💫)'s avatar

I wonder how much his bank account(s) increased!

YourGalapagosGullfriend's avatar

I've said here before that I'd been calling, emailing, and bugging as much as possible about the SAVE Act.

No one in his office picks up the phone. No one is checking the answering machine. No one is calling or emailing back.

And then I see that he is labeling someone like me as a "paid influencer" for wanting to protect my vote by making sure it isn't offset by manufactured votes?

I'm cranky. I'll just leave it at that.

Unwoke in Idaho's avatar

Pretty much every DC so called representative office is the same. IF the phone is even answered by a person, it’s a low level minion who likely ash cans the message. They don’t care about you for the 21 Months or the five years 9 months of the time. They only “care” the few months before an election and even then they don’t really “care”.

Juju's avatar

I remember the push for him as senate leader against … who was it, Rick Scott? And most of MAGA wanted Scott and were furious when the establishment ignored us and delegated Thune to that role. We need to dish out some “I told ya so” noogies.

Demeisen's avatar

Apparently it used to be that senators can be recalled by their states. I would like to see this return.

Skenny's avatar

While there is reasonable suspicion that Thune is still alive, it is not as certain that he and most of his colleagues are, in fact, not represented in the Senate by anything other than cardboard cutouts.

Amy's avatar

Call his office and pester them. Tell him you're not a paid influencer.

Juju's avatar

Also…I think Thune is angry that X has so much power, and reveals the truth of things. They can’t control the narrative anymore and it infuriates him because he doesn’t know how to navigate truthful waters where sunlight hits everything.

God bless those United Airlines employees, I hope they successfully sue UA into oblivion. But either way it's heartening (pun intended), to know that over 2000 professionals were smart enough to save their lives, and ultimately their livelihoods by refusing the myocarditis cancerous death juice, so win or loose they actually won. If I had an airline I'd be recruiting those folks hard...

Fabes55's avatar

I was put through a similar ordeal in the summer of 21 when I was forced to get an RA or face termination. The company I worked for gave me accommodations for 90 days at a time (illegal); wouldn't let me in a room with more than 3 other employees (why not 2 or 4?); wouldn't let me see customers (I did anyway). They ended up cancelling the vax requirement in Apr 2022. People here also got fired for not getting vaxxed. One woman was pregnant at the time and her doctor said to wait until she gave birth. The company didn't care and fired her anyway.

Taiga Rohrer's avatar

Similarly, I worked for the US Forest Service, upon the 2021 mandate requested a RA which was NEVER processed or even looked at, fought it and joined the lawsuit by Feds for Medical Freedom which got the federal injunction in 2022, filed an EEO which was dismissed by the USDA/FS after which I retired to end the nonstop intimidation and harassment which they had no intention of stopping, but formally filed with EEOC which is still pending now 5 years later but still being requested to dismiss by the CURRENT USDA/FS as of 2025, also was required to mask and test per the retribution and coercion at the time... I fully expect the EEOC to eventually dismiss the case per their track record, and there was not enough USDA employees willing to join and pay for a class action to seek justice... Bitter moral and otherwise injuries after 35 years of firefighting protecting people and property, but I'm alive today and my principles remain intact so thank God for that.

Fabes55's avatar

Wow. I hoped someone would have started a class action, but reading this it probably would have ended the same way. I retired in Jul 22; but not before taking my 6 week sabbatical at the end.

CHop's avatar

Just think what would have happened if even 40-50% of their employees would have refused. That happened to Smuckers with their floor workers in their plant. They quickly reversed the mandate, but stood firm on the mandate office worker - most of whom were working from home! And some were fired for it including their private pilot and mechanic.

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

I read that the unjabbed United employees were prevented from accessing their retirement accounts to help them survive during the covid punishment.

FH's avatar

Don’t feed the trolls.

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

I have no idea who you are (hiding behind a stupid avatar) or why you made that comment.

You could have easily done a simple search to find this statement from Fox Business:

"Unvaccinated United Airlines employees who were placed on unpaid leave due to the company’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate reported being restricted from accessing certain company benefits, including their 401(k) retirement accounts, according to legal complaints and testimony from employees."

The SAVE Act is one thing our current crop of RINOs can't abide - common sense. Not only is it perfectly constitutional, not only is it the runaway favorite of all the people, it fortifies the backbone of the republic - that one man (person) has one vote, and by that power the republic is governed.

John Thune is still beholden to the donors, lobbyists, and power mongers that infest politics today. The only improvement made by replacing the Murder Turtle with Thune was that he probably wouldn't stroke out or fall on a weekly basis.
