Byron Donalds is indeed awesome.

During the scamdemic (2021) he skipped the Jab saying he was immune from prior covid infection.

He fought mask and Jab mandates, causing anguish in his south-western Florida district.

He's articulate and takes the battle to the commies.

I don't think Trump knew the truth about the vaxx. Pence was in charge & maybe kept things from Trump. I felt Trump did a good job having news conferences every day & talking about the other cheaper, everyday drugs, & other treatment options. He sent the hospital ship to NY, but Cuomo wouldn't use it. Franklin Graham set up medical services, Cuomo wouldn't allow them to be used either. Democrats were using people's fears, while Trump was giving hope. I don't believe for one minute Trump would have mandated it. I don't fault him one bit because the vaxx would have been an option, available only if we wanted it. I think if Biden hadn't cheated, he would have managed to get the cheap options available, too.

If a brother in Christ sins against us and then asks for forgiveness, we will forgive him as Christ forgives us for our failings no matter how many times he sins against us. Forgiveness is not for the unrepentant and the demon motivated. Christ who forgives our sins will sit in judgment on the children of Satan and will condemn them. As such He sets the example for us.

Civilly, the law will not "forgive" the convicted law breaker. There must be consequences in society or we will lose in this war we find ourselves in.

Do not confuse the two.

Expand full comment
daverkb's avatar

Yes, forgiveness is not an exemption from evil deeds. It is not a pardon of the crime. We, of course, may forgive the repentant. And still, the civil magistrate is commanded by Scripture to be 'a terror to evil doers'.

One does not love thy neighbor by soft-peddling, enabling, or plain out ignoring criminal activity. We love our neighbor, and the strength of a nation, by affirming the administration of justice by upholding and defending God's Law Order. We do this not only by the courts, but with a consciousness of righteousness in the conduct of our daily affairs.

Luke 17:3 states he who repents must be forgiven

Luke 13:3 states we must repent to be forgiven.

Acts 3:19 states we must repent, BE SORROWFUL (and change the way we do things if we're truly repentant) to be forgiven.

But those verses do not address how we choose to forgive those who have sinned against us without repentance. Jesus teaches us in the Lord's prayer, "forgive us our sins/trespasses as we forgive those who sin/trespass against us." Nothing about repentance...

I don't wait for someone who has wronged me or others I love to decide if I'm going to forgive them. To do that is to keep ruminating over that sin and the pain, thus keeping the "poison" in my system. Christ didn't wait for those He healed to repent of their sins, He healed and forgave them, then told them to "go and sin no more."

I choose to forgive without repentance. If that repentance never comes, I'm ok. My forgiveness isn't based on that. What I don't do is continue to trust that relationship....

I’ve been to Bible school where we studied the Bible inside and out. Context. Historical events, and time periods when the Bible was written. Old and New Testament references. You have a great grasp on what scripture actually teaches on forgiveness. I see on this thread some misinterpretation of what forgiveness is and how we approach it. Join your state's election integrity group, attend county election board meetings, find out local and state laws (can your county clerk choose to return to paper ballots, for instance?), advocate for return to single day voting, on paper, in person except for overseas military and those physically incapable of getting to the polls, and precinct voting rather than countywide vote centers (if your county has fallen for that).

All great suggestions. Voters have been fed information in the past through various media. First, it was the town crier, then notices posted on walls, then the newspapers, then the talking box. It never occurred to any of us during the growth of TV reporting that that information was inaccurate at best and total propaganda at worst. Our eyes are open. The world is changing and the way we get accurate information is just that. We must search out credible sources, talk to our like-minded friends about where they get their information, share your information, if necessary, and help them navigate the new world of online information. Challenging our opposite-minded friends with our thoughts should be included and if they get hostile, turn around, bid them a good day and leave. I think we MUST stop repeating the phrase ā€œnever discuss politics or religion.ā€ That habit alone helped the snakes slither under the door when we weren’t looking. We’ve become lazy and would rather let everyone tell us what to think than to think ourselves. Oh yes, it’s work searching for information and not everyone has the time to do so but that’s when discussions come into play. Work and persistence is what will help us save our Republic.

ā€”ā€œit didn’t have to contain its obvious contempt for Trump and his audience.

The Times’ reporter described the audience’s responses as ā€œa laugh track on a sitcom,ā€ and said the New Hampshire attendees ā€œaudibly ate up the shtick of the decades-long showman.ā€ā€

Yep so typical. Dripping with contempt for average Americans who don’t fawn over NYT reporters and their ilk and dare to support a candidate not approved by the elite šŸ™„ I think it’s worse seeing people fawning over Biden’s incoherent drivel. And talk about a decades long showman. Biden has been a lying, cheating taxpayer funded pretender for pretty much his entire life.

šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘ Byron Donalds! Nice to see some new(er) conservative faces making strong arguments and showing the legacy media’s buffoons for the brainless idiots they are.

ā€”ā€œTrump: ā€œOur country is being destroyed by stupid people.ā€

He forgot evil. Stupid and evil.

ā€”ā€œwere more rattled than Carmen Miranda’s favorite maracas.ā€

🤣🤣🤣

Your similes and metaphors are always the BEST, Jeff!! 😁 So creative and so apt! Might have to use them as examples for my homeschool English lessons šŸ˜šŸ˜†

Couldn't agree more! Yes, I am glad Trump calls them out for being morons, but I do wonder why he hasn't pointed out that they are just plain evil yet.

The federal government is akin to metastatic pancreatic cancer that has spread to all other major organs in the body. Even Dr. Mengele would refuse to treat at this point.

Trump a true Peace-Hawk; a Reaganesque Foreign Policy-- that ALONE should qualify him to lead the WEST while neo-libs can continue pursuing graft, societal ruination and statewide and local Marxist endeavors (Just like the 1980s). REMEMBER--the Dems and Libs HATED that the USSR collapsed!!! They despised Reagan, Thatcher, PJP II, They also didn't know how to truthfully handle the narrative of Lech Walensa, and all the other dissidents that spoke against tyranny and Soviet Imperialism. Perhaps this is why it was a far easier route to more rapidly and rabidly Empower a more Ruthless China (Tiananman Square) than to reconstruct a shambles of SSRs under a liberalizing Russian nation. The timeline of this switcheroo seems possible but I'm not brilliant and educated and a loyal Globalist Lap-Dog like Albright or Rice (sorry lap-dogs).
