If you are in the military, space and privacy are usually very tight and sometimes non-existent.

Who wants to share a sleeping, bathing, bathroom space with someone who is confused about their gender?

At one time, the military would not take anyone, who at any time, took ADHD meds.

Now...The Village People are running the Pentagon.

My oldest is about to eagle out, but scouts wasn’t for my two other boys. If scouts was what it is today 7 years ago we would have left during the first meeting. Once they stopped meeting on zoom they moved outdoors, with masks with hula hoops on the ground to show 6’. Outside! I won’t get into the trans activist mom rewriting the 90+ year old troop songbook. Or the fact that they now have an e-sports merit badge, or the new mandatory for eagle badge, which is just a bunch of DEI crap!

I was shocked a few days ago. We went to a grocery store and out front was a darling little girl and her dad selling girl scout cookies. We asked her to recite the pledge and she couldn’t so we said we’ll stop on our way out. They looked it up and she recited it perfectly. The shocking part, it says ‘God and Country’. I was so happy to hear that. It doesn’t say duty though.

(We bought one box, then asked her to cite it, and when she did we bought another). It’s a pleasure for us old folks to meet sweet and earnest little ones ♥️

I agree. Try and schedule a paint ball outing though and see what happens. Meanwhile, you’re free to organize an entire weekend of “e-sports.”

The organization is on its way out. They lost the Mormons over their capitulation to culture, are trying to backfill with girls, all while placating the crowd that says gender is a social construct. Your troop sounds like it’s hanging in there, but rot has set in. scouts, absent a return to its founding ideals, won’t be around for our grandkids. That’s my prediction.

My older sons' troop was run by a group of outdoorsy men who really embraced the Scouting ethos so it did well. Overtime, though, as the top level of Scouting administration acquiesced to the Zeitgeist of the day, the culture changed. We didn't even consider it for my youngest son.

My family Scouting heritage goes back to 1917 and attending the first World Scout Jamboree in 1920. In fact, I have a photograph on my wall of the entire American Scout delegation, with my grandfather proudly standing in the back row. I announced two weeks ago at our Scoutmaster Corps meeting that I am stepping down and away, as I can no longer support the BSA organization financially or as a Leader, though I will remain available as a Registered Adult to provide assistance with camping and hiking as needed (my son is still in).

It was an extremely difficult decision which has been weighing on my mind for the past few years. Aside from watching the organization twist itself into knots complying with the woke/DEI agenda, the institutional fear-mongering over COVID, the watering-down of Scouting skills mastery, and making it co-ed... far too many of the boys just aren't even taking it seriously.

The Boy Scouts have had problems with pedophiles forever and were keeping files on abusers starting back in the 1920s.

The problem is human nature and enablers getting into positions of power.

I think one of the big problems with Scouts, churches, etc., is that they attract pedophiles. We as parents must realize that pedophiles will purposely join these groups and appear normal. They'll befriend you to get near your children. Parents need to know this. We tend to be comfortable with people we see as being in our tribe, but we can't let our guards down or assume that just because an organization is good doesn't mean all the people within the organization are good.

A few years ago I worked briefly at an Episcopal church where the minister told me the scouts use the church for meetings. The leader of the troop was accused of abusing boys in their basement classrooms. She said the trial hadn't occurred yet so this guy was free to walk around the church and many of the members claimed that such a thing could never have happened with such a nice man in charge! I said "no thanks" and left that job. The minister still kept the Sunday school classrooms in the basement (with solid doors for each & no windows) just as they were with this guy able to stop by whenever. A "woke" minister in charge of a "woke" congregation. Sad that children aren't the priority!!

I definitely am not suggesting that any asylum should ever experiment on or torture a human being. As a survivor of childhood trauma myself, I understand how hard it is to recover from that. But the problem is, we have some seriously mentally ill people in this country who are spreading their mental illness to those who are vulnerable. I have a serious problem with that. There is no doubt in my mind that most of these trans people were sexually abused. Then, someone comes along and manipulates them to cut off their body parts. That isn’t going to make their sexual abuse go away, it’s just going to prolong the inevitable pain of dealing with it. As for Fauci, I believe that man is Satan incarnate. He is pure evil. I actually would like to see some Nurenberg trials take place with him center stage. I’d happily be at his hanging, seeing as how he has killed three of my family friends and made others horribly sick.

I have doubts any asylum was ever good knowing what we know now. Our hospitals used remdesivir and midazolam as the ONLY treatment for covid knowing what it would do. We are chattle to them but we are also loved by God.

So true... the mentally ill population is growing, but I think it is a spiritual and moral problem that our society is creating. We have to bring families and morality back and only God can fix it.

Sorry about your trauma. I had some crazy stuff happen to me that messed me up too.
