More militia? Healthy preventatives? You’re making me want to move to Florida! And I live in a free Tennessee. DeSantis is everything all governors should be, taking back power from this decrepit, amoral federal administration.

I have kids that live in and around Nashville. It becomes more Liberal every week. I was there for Thanksgiving and plenty of masks in shops and even outdoors. Knoxville in the east, Nashville in the middle, and Memphis in west are becoming pretty Liberal. Bill Lee seems a pretty wishy washy governor at best. Visited our nephew’s family halfway between Nashville and Memphis on the Tennessee River and he told us the neighborhood checked him out to make sure they were Conservative. Trump flags flying from nearly every house.

Lee has not impressed me at all. He is not a strong leader. He seems more concerned about not meddling in businesses and less about protecting his citizens. We have a decent LtGov and a good legislature.

More militia for what? Oh yeah, to fight the feds hahahaha

DeSatanis passed anti protest laws a bit back... He's an authoritarian like the rest of the 2 party cucks

But is Tennessee really as ‘free’ as reported to be? I think not, but likely more ‘free’ than CA!

Rural is better but I’m jaded because I love the country. Kids have been unmasked and in school since last fall in my area south of Knoxville. Masks were few and far between in stores in the rural areas throughout this. Knoxville city and Knox County were in disagreement about mandates for most of this. Funny, I went to Trader Joe’s last week and the maskers were definitely dominant. Went to Sam’s Club and very few masks. Unless areas are getting 1,000 cases per 100,000 population, masks cannot be required and no vax passports cannot be required.

Poorly worded. Proof of vax cannot be required.

We were in the Pigeon Forge area last March 1st, renting a cabin just to get out of communist Michigan. We’d heard it was like being in a different country. All the restaurants had masked servers and asked you to wear masks in. We didn’t. All the shops had mask signs and workers were masked except the Trump store. Even going into Cades Cove asked to wear masks outdoors. We didn’t wear masks anywhere and never had a problem save for one antique place the young woman working told us we had to have a mask to enter, so we didn’t. But I was surprised at how many masked people we saw on all the streets. It wasn’t that much different than Michigan.

At one point, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg had high transmission rates and the residents were up in arms about it being the tourists. So the cities cracked down. I didn’t think it was that early on but it could have been. I rarely go to that area, my patience for that much traffic is limited. I did go over once last year to see a friend play at Ole Reds around July/August. No one was wearing masks outside. Ole Reds handed out masks, people wore them to their tables, took them off and never put them back on.

Tennessee in the top 5 for states with the most freedom 😻

I wonder if Gov DeSantis realizes how rare a voice like his is in the covid world. Hope he lives forever

I wish the Governor would stop referring to that semi-conscious turd pile as "president." There's nothing even remotely presidential about Brandon. He was installed, like a toilet.......but at least the toilet offers some kind of redeeming value.

The "Healthier You" site contents are Iindeed a good start. Now if DeSantis can take the next steps and mention Ivermectin and HCQ, legally protect docs from retribution should they prescribe them, and require pharmacies to fulfill those prescriptions.

you guys are really really lucky to have Governor De Santis down there. WOW.

Expand full comment

Extremely lucky. And to think he almost didn’t win the 2018 election due to some hefty Obama money getting injected into the state so they could try and get the corrupt Andrew Gillum installed instead. And if you google Mr. Gillum, you’ll see just how lucky the state of FL got. It’s called dodging a bullet for sure.

Young college students are in a crap position. I know of some cases were parents are stopping them from getting the injection, and other one were the parent said "well you are 21 and you can decide". I see the generation born during the late 1990s all glued to their phone. And I don't think they are reading C&C or even have an idea how to identify fake news vs. objective information. We may have a generation with issues but God help us keep our country together for them. All we can keep doing it's keep spreading the word.

Agreed. In addition, the social pressure to get jabbed is intense even for kids who are skeptical. My 20-year old got double-jabbed last spring and how I am trying desperately to talk her out of getting boosted. She said she won't -- at least until her school changes the definition of fully vaccinated.

The colleges are doing GREAT damage, mentally and spiritually. There is little value sending your kids to college and greater risk that you won't know the indoctrinated person that comes back AND you're paying for it - way too much!

Expand full comment

Yes. Colleges- even in free states- are making life very difficult for the kids who didn’t get the shots.

Expand full comment

Wow…seriously is she okay? No health problems whatsoever?

Expand full comment

Yes, my very laid back 25 YO son had avoided the jab, I sent him LOTS of info to talk him out of it. But got married in Sept and the cruise he and his jabbed wife had paid for was going to basically ruin it - he could not go to certain parts of the ship, could not get off at certain ports, and would have to pay big $ to get tested EVERY DAY. I am stubborn - would have said hell no I just wont go. But he got the jabs. No ill effects so far thank God but very disappointed that he caved. His wife is a nurse and got it back in March, she is high risk due to being a Type 1 diabetic, and works on the covid floor, so kind of 'get it'. But had an emergency appendectomy in April, I blame the shot.

What's the idea: freedom, if we can keep it? I loved, "young people! You are in a war! Wake up!". It would be amazing, if all this caused a great awakening. There are early signs, but so much more to be done.

I'd suggest the younger generation read Common Sense by Thomas Paine, but it would conflict with their time with Pokemon Go.

Expand full comment

Come on, can't you get all that Paine larnin by gaming? You old folks are just out'a date. Ohhh, right you want them to spend time in "deep" education. I don't think they have had that experience. Maybe you're on to something there.

A truly brilliant person will build a virtual game that teaches them what Thomas Paine wanted them to know.

I’ll say this… there are plenty of members of the young generation that remember life pre-Covid and are less than thrilled at the mandates and people control coming out of this president. The key will be mobilizing them and making them feel as if they have a voice that won’t get them cancelled. Remember that Let’s Go Brandon came out of the FJB chant that originated this fall in college football stadiums. There’s hope yet in the war for their hearts and minds.

Re the Swedish study:

Good news! Get the jab and you'll have a 20% greater risk of dying! But you won't get COVID! Well, that is if you get a booster ... or two. Such a deal!

If you get the Injection, you'll have a 20% greater risk of dying. So if you get a booster or boosters, doesn't that increase that death percentage? Somethings wrong here!

Well, DeSantis is right, of course. And I'm going to Florida for Christmas because I want to see normal people's faces again and hang out with other people who are over Covid. Basically, once I leave Vermont and get on the 81 South, it's all good from there.

Jeff, Thank you! I love your daily posts and it’s the first thing I read in the morning. Can you touch on what federal civilian employees have ahead of them? I know the potato has said to wait till after the holidays to begin firing federal employees, but where are we on the legal front as far as this mandate being repealed?

Love, love, love this post! Oh, to have a Gov. DeSantis in Ohio. DeWine is keeping his head down because he's in reelection mode, people will forget.

Don't let the 'media' scare you again, like they did when this first started, Covid is NOT around/behind every corner. Supplements can help avoid all the actual viruses but supplements cannot control how you react to BS the media spews.

So there was a speech last night, that explains why my company, long silent on the issue, indicated today they were ready and willing to go along with the OSHA rule once court cases were settled. On top of that, my kid's preschool is shut again for COVID exposure, with the administrator saying we just need to accept this until everyone 6 months and up can be injected... we're looking for a way to visit Florida this winter also, and may not come back. Fear not, we will remember why we left Long Island!

Like so many others, we are heading to Florida for a two week vacation in January. It will be a nice break from our hyper vigilant, mandate crazed governor here in North Carolina. Our county commissioners here in Buncombe County are right there with governor Cooper and insist everyone keep those “protective” masks on for all of eternity.
