Thank you for your work. I look forward to your posts every morning. As a 17 year elementary teaching assistant, I can't begin to tell you the devastation the masks are causing. I don't think anyone realizes how dangerous this is. We have an unbelievable increase in behavioral problems because no one can see the visual cues on the face (I routinely wear mine around my chin because it makes a huge difference in diffusing conflict). I challenge anyone to teach the "th" sound, new vocabulary, letter sounds, etc. with a mask on. Really, put a mask on and try it with a friend. Make sure ypi are at least 6 feet apart and further since that's the reality in the classroom. (Try a word you don't know how to pronounce and don't know the meaning from the dictionary...idiots in charge).

My biggest concern, however, is the physical harm. The masks are soaking wet within the first hour. The kids pull them down to drink water, snack, etc. and they are chock full of dirty bodily fluids. The most sinister part if this is the long term damage from inhaling flame retardants that are in the fabrics, polyester and cotton fibers, dyes, laundry detergent residues and fabric softener residues. This literally keeps me awake at night. Who would trade a chance for lung cancer or lung disease for covid? This has not been thought through. Since you are an attorney, is it possible to stop this by going after the manufacturers of ALL masks on the market (all the way through the supply chain including the added dyes, flame retardants and fibers) and the big corporations that make laundry detergents? I believe they have an obligation to the consumer that their product is safe for the lungs. I'm terrified that my children (and the adults including myself that are forced to wear these all day) are unknowingly at risk for something much worse than Covid.

Many of us are experiencing headaches and burning throats at the end of the day. My students are masked for the entire day (including 50 minutes of PE in a hot gym) except 30 minutes at lunch. Add to that the bus ride home. I find it appalling that adults are at restaurants, bars, football games, etc unmasked while my students can't even take theirs off at their desk. Please, there must be a way to insure the safety of our children.

My daughter, an employee of a mega giant computer company in the Bay Area of Calif, was about to lose her job if she didn’t comply with the mandates, she works from home in another state! She was notified yesterday the mandates were put on hold, unless she travels for them. I can’t tell you how relieved I am! As a nurse I have been fortunate enough to work for a hospital in Calif that has accepted our religious exemptions.

So grateful for the work you and so many others continue to do on the part of sanity!

Polis is a slimy snake in the grass. His MO is to say “the STATE” isn’t requiring this, while pressuring the counties to do it. He’s trying to walk a line so that there isn’t total revolt and huge swaths of the state breaking off to join Wyoming or Utah. Though there isn’t a statewide mask mandate, there is a lovely vaccine passport system in many of the counties including Denver. Businesses may only drop the mask mandates if they agree to ensure, and be able to prove on random health department inspection, that everyone inside is vaccinated. This is something Polis helped engineer and strongly supports. Shortly after he says the quote you mentioned, he said he encourages local counties to enact mandates. All of the major metro areas have some sort of program, and many of them have colluded to make identical programs.

“ Businesses that don’t want to impose a mask order will be allowed to verify patrons’ vaccination status, instead. Under this option, only people who are vaccinated may be admitted.

Denver’s order joins identical orders covering Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Boulder and Jefferson counties.

The new orders go into effect on Wednesday. They apply to all indoor public spaces and anyone older than age 2. ”

I just returned from Breckenridge last night, and can report that I was delightfully shocked at the lack of mask requirements from restaurants in town. I had been expecting not only mask requirements but proof of vax to dine, as I had previously read would be the case. I was planning to cook in every night, but voila, not only did half the people at the grocery store not wear masks, but restaurants operated like normal, like, dude, what virus? It was awesome! So go Breck, and go Colorado! Way to see the light!

"Gruesome" Gavin Newsome writing a children's book?? Is Stephen King writing the forward? Possible titles: "I'm Okay, You're Okay"....."California Dreaming"....."Clifford goes to Hell"....."A Day at the Beach With Tony Fauci".... "The Evils of Oxygen".... There's no telling where this could end up.

Colorado native here. Uh, let’s see regarding Polis. His poll numbers are down, wants re-elected in November so now he is changing his tune. Will return to full tyranny if re-elected. Considering our elections are rigged here and not the gold standard as our supposed SOS “says”. Would like masks and mandatory v@x gone here. Our mayor and Guv seem to want them enforced for venues as well and talk of passports. So, I have a hard time believing what these two officials say… if elected in will still be like CA and NJ. Other better candidates out there in CO.

Feels like we’re winning! I said to my husband THIS is why we didn’t comply! It has all been illegal. Never complied from the beginning, and from Oregon where the dictator there went all in from the very beginning. Many times I went into stores and was the only unmuzzled person. You get used to the stares 😂. Courage is contagious. By not complying we are fighting for our country. Every single person that stood up and did not comply is a fighter and continues to be a fighter.

These emails reaffirm the good news that we can fight tyranny. We have a long ways to go so we cannot let up!! Colorado is an example of that. These evil serpents will change colors just long enough to manipulate the people into letting down their guard and then they’ll bite and spread their poison once again. Beware Colorado, and other tyrannical states. You will know them by their fruit. We’ve seen their fruit (for years now) and it’s rotten. Planting rotten fruit in fresh soil will not produce anything but more rotten soil. Do not be deceived by their words. They mean nothing. They all deserve prison time, not being re-elected.

As a native of Colorado, I believe that Polis has changed his stance b/c of election season. He has been such a dictator during this whole thing. it’s sickening as well as infuriating but not as uprise that he has flipped his stance now!

Maybe we have another candidate for mulitplier campaign?

Rob Astorino running for NY Gov: "On Day 1 as governor, I will lift all mandates. We have vaccines and effective therapeutics in the tool kit. It’s time to return to normalcy like the overwhelming majority of states and countries have done. NY can’t continue like this."

(I don't know anything else about this guy ...)

“[Editor's note: in a statement released by the Governor's office after this interview aired, the Governor said that "he was referring to the state role" in implementing mask mandates in Colorado. "Of course," the statement continued, "he believes that local leaders can and should put disease reduction protocols in place based off their disease levels and community support for those policies."]”

We live in a CO county that has a mask mandate in place right now. The governor may not be mandating state-wide, but he’s supportive of the counties doing so.

So very thankful for your daily emails. They keep my family peaceful when fear threatens to flare up in our hearts. Thank you.

If your governor is just now decrying mandates and Covid authoritarianism, it’s for re-election, not a genuinely held belief. I won’t applaud anyone who’s ‘getting on board’ with freedom simply because they know they’ll go down in flames come November if they don’t.

I look forward to C&C every morning. We live in the southwest corner of Colorado (Montezuma county) which is mostly red. Polis mandated twice weekly testing for all unvaxxed state employees back in September. My husband works for CDOT (2 years from retirement) and they have lost many of their employees in our area. The roads were a mess after this last snowstorm due to a shortage of employees and the motorists are the ones suffering. I'll be writing to Polis this weekend to try to get this ridiculous testing mandate stopped since " the emergency is now over".
