These are all conservative voters, but some can get lazy and take our freedoms for granted. I will be leaning on them. And contacting a bunch of friends/acquaintances too. Taking our constitutional freedoms — especially the right to vote — for granted is an insult to every fallen hero and veteran that has served or is currently serving to protect and defend them for us. Remember the closing scene of Saving Private Ryan: “Earn this.” Show that you appreciate their sacrifices by investing the relatively minuscule amount of time it takes to cast your ballot. I too am kicking against the goads in national elections when it comes to presidential and senatorial races, but can still make a difference at the local level. I believe it is a moral imperative to vote in every election, and I have. And take a bunch of friends with you to the polls, if your state votes that way. Make a day of it. Generations of veterans would appreciate that.

I started reading the WSJ in the 1970s. It was a great paper and one could get an education on business, finance, taxes, etc. from its pages. That all changed during Obama's first term. The quality of the reporting had me shaking my head so often that it became hard to justify the subscription price.
The last straw was when some "reporter" wrote that both bond prices and interest rates were both rising - a mathematical impossibility. The paper that gave me my financial education was now a rag being run by financial illiterates.
Used to enjoy reading it, but their subscription price is astronomical and they insisted on handing the “news” department to 20-something journalism graduates.
I used to be a subscriber for decades. Then I left. Now I read it for free (and can comment too HAH!) by using the digital resources at my library. It signs me up for three days and it’s free and I can renew every three days forever and ever amen.
If the Republicans had passed the Save Act which everyone wanted, there would be no question for Nov victory. But frankly, this failure will cause a lot of R voters to stay home. I will vote but I do feel like Charlie Brown when Lucy holds the football!!!
