We should always be deeply disturbed by loss of human life, most especially when it was (at best) unnecessary, or (at worst) intentional. If I see an “unmarked” picture of a happy person or family, I don’t really pause to take in the essence of the picture. But when there is a glaring ugly ❌ through their face - you bet I am disturbed and take a pause to think about the reason behind it. I think each person deserves an extra thought(s) on their life, and a feeling of compassion for their surviving family. Are we really being human and all that comes with it, if we are not compelled to stop and consider another’s loss of life?
