Happy Friday! I am SO excited for Monday! We are going to do a homeschool focus day on US Presidential Inaugurations. Well, mostly just this one 😂 Maybe highlights of President Trump’s first inauguration as well 😁

Thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely check it out, and that makes me think we should pull up the Inaugural addresses of some other notable presidents too. Great idea!
(My kids may not be as excited about this unit study as I am 😂)
I just heard on the news (Fox?) that the inauguration is now going to be moved inside, due to the freezing temps expected. So, I guess all the patriots from the USA and elsewhere will be standing outside watching on big screens. Personally, I am glad he will be more protected from attempts on his ears, I mean life! Still, cover him in prayers because the evil is everywhere!
Isn't it delish, that feeling of control you have when you homeschool? I did it for only one year (8th grade) with youngest, but it was such a relief to be the one making the choices of what to study.
I LOVE it! I mean, it’s hard and exhausting but the payoff is just amazing. So thankful that I get to do this!
Sometimes on hard days, when we’re all exhausted and stressed, I take a deep breath and tell my boys, “it’s hard right now, but there is nowhere else I’d rather be than here with you. Being your mom is my favorite.” It’s a good reset for all of us!

I'm looking forward to this inauguration more than I have any other.
Me too! It feels like Christmas 😂🤩
With a small hint of “I hope they don’t pull another 9/11 on Inauguration Day” 🫣
Exactly. I will breathe easier on Jan 22 after the formalities and festivities.
I'm flying from SC to Atlanta on Monday, family reunion The thought hit me today-HOPE we're not hi-jacked!
Hi Susanna, may I humbly suggest checking out Yuri’s Substack as well today, https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/jfk-1961-inaugural-address-maga, in which he posts JFK’s Inaugural Address. Would be a great lesson plan addition. :)

Trump's first inauguration speech is an historic one.
And we had no idea how much so at the time!
I hope they have good security and are wearing bulletproof vests
"Does this make me look fat?"
😂 well honestly yes yes a bullet proof vest does make one look a LITTLE fat 😂
With dignitaries from foreign countries you can be sure security will be tight! President Trump will be in a bullet proof enclosure, or so I read.

Praying for the helmet of salvation, the breast plate of righteousness and God’s angels surrounding them
The swearing in has been moved indoors so that helps a little.

I was a little relieved to see that too. Because of the “cold”. Hey whatever it takes. Thank you, Lord, for a bitterly chilly day in DC.
And who could forget the belt of truth… most important
It was just moved indoors!
