I live in deep blue NYC (sapphire blue Brooklyn, to boot!) and when it comes to the ideas of wokism (as opposed to people who just automatically vote Democrat), I see no evidence even here that woke ideas are close to that percentage. That may be true in Canada as well; I don’t pretend to have the statistics. Of course, that does means that even so, there are more woke people here in the US, because we have far more people.

As President Trump indicated in his recent address, there is evidence that we should not go by election results to judge what Americans think, as I can assure you, a lot of our election results are, if not thoroughly rigged, at least not indicative of Americans’ real wishes.
I’m sure that is very likely true in Canada, too, so perhaps I’ve been unfair. It’s just that I suspect that Canadians’ penchant for politeness has left them open to being manipulated by woke ideas, while our rougher edges probably have made it a bit harder for them to stick.

The first time I saw this guy/woman in a dress in a short clip on TV (when he was still in a political health position I believe in PA), I remarked to my husband, “I feel So Sorry for that woman. Thanks to my discovery of the first local talk radio station in America (in heathon Seattle, no less!) in 1991 during the Iraq war, I learned that my political beliefs had a name: conservatism. Those beliefs only hardened from there. And by '94, my husband had switched sides and was firmly in the conservative camp with me where he gladly remains today. He was really always kind of conservative, but was confused because he was the son of public school teachers who loved to claim they were Democrats but seemed to always live like conservatives haha. The funniest example of that was when my husband's dad talked about how instead of hiring a union electrician, he just decided to do the wiring himself for family'd home he had been building.

As for the Founding Fathers, I think they started rolling in their graves beginning in the mid-1800s and washed their hands of us entirely with Pres Wilson's regime that enslaved all of America to the British banker's system of taxation and fiat money printing to support foreign wars. And that's how we got to today.
One Founding Father who foresaw where we were going was Patrick Henry. He was a staunch supporter of the Declaration of Independence (and a hard core Reformed Calvinist) whose fiery words were quoted throughout the Revolution: "Give me liberty or give me death." He was not one of the delegate signers of the Declaration as he was serving as the Governor of Virginia at the time. (Back then, serving in office meant "serving the people", not serving yourself.)
When George Washington organized the unsanctioned, secret overthrow of the Articles of Confederation, George invited Patrick to attend the secret meeting in Philadelphia. Patrick Henry responded by refusing, saying "I smell a rat in Philadelphia." He clearly understood that the centralization of power that George wanted was anathema to the Declaration of Independence.
And here we are today. What we are witnesses to in the 21st century is the slow unraveling of the American Empire. By every measure, the empire of the USG is overextended. We are fraying at the edges and imploding at the center. Trump's initial instinct to draw back and consolidate the empire was the only logical course of action. But, as Richard Maybury is fond of saying, "power corrupts the morals and the judgement." The key here is the second part of that observation. Has anyone ever written a comprehensive article or report that lays out how much cash or cash equivalent a non US citizen is entitled to receive every month or year? Food stamps amount, rent subsidies, medical insurance premiums or other medical reimbursements paid , all other amounts of sm cash received or fees etc waived. The foregoing does not of course include things like costs incurred by schools, hospitals etc that hopefully are paid by states and not reimbursed by the fed govt.
Similarly, any analysis of how much employers save by paying lower wages with govt making up the difference ( essentially the rest of us are subsidizing those employers)
The above data would help make the case why the failure to.deport even non criminals costs the average us citizen and makes their lives less affordable, an argument that would appeal to many and put real context into the deportation arguments that today center on ICE activities
I, too, would like to see a report on how much it is costing US taxpayers to support illegal immigrants. At a local level, it is easy to see how much they take from food banks, housing, hospital, schools, and even legal aid service providers. Examples: They use the emergency department at the hospital as a primary care because they won’t be turned away if they can’t pay. A teacher I know who works in a rural county said they have students who speak 10 different languages other than English or Spanish. The staff has to use Google translate to communicate with those students. Think about how much effort is put into accommodating those few students to the detriment of the citizen students.
My daughter is a kindergarten teacher and has had to do the same when she’s had four different foreign language kids in her classroom! Kids catch on pretty quickly, it the parents don’t. Google Translate has been her godsend!
And, that was based on 15 million.... It is probably > 30 million, as I believe a Harvard study suggested years before the onslaught happened during Obummer and Bidumbs evil reign. We may have as many as give or take 50 million illegals by now.

What galls me to no end is that in the 90s, someone I know who married a non US citizen at the time actually had to sign a document stating that neither the person nor the spouse (remembering that one of them was an actual American citizen) would ask for any government support. I think it was for a certain amount of time, like 20 years or something but can’t recall exactly. So these people, one a citizen and one a legal immigrant, had to promise not to get government help at that time. But now, no problem, ILLEGAL immigrants get free or in state tuition at college, food stamps, housing assistance, medical care, all kinds of help and people just shrug their shoulders about it 😡😡😡

Those beliefs only hardened from there. And by '94, my husband had switched sides and was firmly in the conservative camp with me where he gladly remains today. He was really always kind of conservative, but was confused because he was the son of public school teachers who loved to claim they were Democrats but seemed to always live like conservatives haha. The funniest example of that was when my husband's dad talked about how instead of hiring a union electrician, he just decided to do the wiring himself for family'd home he had been building.

What a hoot! Or should I say "Clown Show"? That was the most un-serious C&C ever. I knew the Democratic Party was headed for extinction but I didn't think it would exit the stage as a political trajicomedy and laughing stock.
And then it hit me. The Maine Dems are symptomatic of the entire political landscape in the US. From the Maine clown show to the circus event on the White House lawn, politics has ceased to be anything anyone can take seriously. And remember, we really don't have "two parties". In reality, there is but only the Uniparty that pretends to give Americans the illusion of choice. And we buy it! I learned this back in the 70s (see "The Irony of Democracy" by Thomas Dye, first published in 1970 and is STILL in print being used as a political textbook for the elite). But most of America never caught on. More's the pity!
As for the Founding Fathers, I think they started rolling in their graves beginning in the mid-1800s and washed their hands of us entirely with Pres Wilson's regime that enslaved all of America to the British banker's system of taxation and fiat money printing to support foreign wars. And that's how we got to today.
One Founding Father who foresaw where we were going was Patrick Henry. He was a staunch supporter of the Declaration of Independence (and a hard core Reformed Calvinist) whose fiery words were quoted throughout the Revolution: "Give me liberty or give me death." He was not one of the delegate signers of the Declaration as he was serving as the Governor of Virginia at the time. (Back then, serving in office meant "serving the people", not serving yourself.)
When George Washington organized the unsanctioned, secret overthrow of the Articles of Confederation, George invited Patrick to attend the secret meeting in Philadelphia. Patrick Henry responded by refusing, saying "I smell a rat in Philadelphia." He clearly understood that the centralization of power that George wanted was anathema to the Declaration of Independence.
And here we are today. What we are witnesses to in the 21st century is the slow unraveling of the American Empire. By every measure, the empire of the USG is overextended. We are fraying at the edges and imploding at the center. Trump's initial instinct to draw back and consolidate the empire was the only logical course of action. But, as Richard Maybury is fond of saying, "power corrupts the morals and the judgement." The key here is the second part of that observation. The POTUS and the USG as a whole have been co-opted by the British banker's Zionist wars and now the USG is caught in a war they cannot win yet cannot withdraw from without losing credibility.

Has anyone ever written a comprehensive article or report that lays out how much cash or cash equivalent a non US citizen is entitled to receive every month or year? Food stamps amount, rent subsidies, medical insurance premiums or other medical reimbursements paid , all other amounts of sm cash received or fees etc waived. The foregoing does not of course include things like costs incurred by schools, hospitals etc that hopefully are paid by states and not reimbursed by the fed govt.
Similarly, any analysis of how much employers save by paying lower wages with govt making up the difference ( essentially the rest of us are subsidizing those employers)
The above data would help make the case why the failure to.deport even non criminals costs the average us citizen and makes their lives less affordable, an argument that would appeal to many and put real context into the deportation arguments that today center on ICE activities

At a local level, it is easy to see how much they take from food banks, housing, hospital, schools, and even legal aid service providers. Examples: They use the emergency department at the hospital as a primary care because they won’t be turned away if they can’t pay. A teacher I know who works in a rural county said they have students who speak 10 different languages other than English or Spanish. The staff has to use Google translate to communicate with those students. Think about how much effort is put into accommodating those few students to the detriment of the citizen students.
