But in spite of forgiving them and showing them grace, they can never be allowed any position of power. After the robber has served his sentence, we allow him to participate in society, but we don't give him the keys to our homes. The forgiveness and grace would be imprisoning them as opposed to lynching them. The forgiveness and grace is holding them accountable so they can receive justice and atone for their sins, and hopefully get themselves right with God.
