This election will sweep in a slate of America First candidates like JD Vance, Blake Masters, Herschel Walker, and some others. We're just going to have to keep their feet to the fire and work on electing more America First candidates in 2024. This way, we transform the Stupid Party, into a populist party which represents America and her ideals. At least, that's the plan.
Is an America First candidate the same as a neocon or a “my country right or wrong” candidate? I just need to know because I , a decades-long conservative, woke up in 2020 to what our foreign policy has done around the world for the past 30 years or so. I just can’t go along with it anymore. Our foreign entanglements have caused a lot of misery and I just can’t support the Military Industrial Complex anymore. I still love my country but I can’t ignore what our government is doing in my name any longer.
I feel exactly the same way. The realization that we've been the bad guys all these years is devastating, so you're not alone in this. And to answer your question: No. America First doesn't go around the world causing color revolutions for regime change. Right now, congress is rushing to wash the last 50 billion dollars in the Ukraine laundromat before the election, because after the election, the grift ends. Can we trust these people who ask us to elect them and promise to put America first? Do we have a better option right now? We need to try. Because if we can't change the tide of tyranny that is choking our nation at this moment through peaceful means, the cold civil war we're currently in - becomes a hot civil war. It may still happen, but we need to try to win through the ballot box (yes, I know they cheat.) Right now, the November election promises to be nothing short of historic. Democrats don't see it coming, and they will lose seats in all levels of government all across the country. They won't take it lying down, but if the loss is devastating enough, they'll be marginalized as a party, and as a destructive force, for years to come. That's my hope, anyway.
If there still exist any middle of the road, traditional Democrats, I wish they would oust the radical far left progressives from the party and tell them to start their own third party, call it whatever they want. For a long time, the progressives have been hiding inside the Dem party and a lot of Dems who are fairly clueless about what has happened to their party just keep voting Dem without truly understanding what their party is really up to. And the reasonable Dems have had to go along without necessarily wanting to. So they need to get rid of the radicals, and the Republicans need to get rid of the Cheneys and the group of war hawk R's.
