I think the humility comes individually, starting first with all of us who are in the freedom fight. What is *my* attitude and inner posture? Am I trusting my own efforts, my own skillful persuasion, the elections (haha, sort of), etc? Or am I using my best efforts, speaking persuasively, working for secure elections, AND truly acknowledging that all of this ultimately depends on God?
The same God who rescued the Israelites who were trapped between mountains and a formidable sea of water doesn’t *need* me any more than he *needed* Moses to hold his staff over the sea.
A very thoughtful answer Copernicus. The Lord is sovereign over the nations and he needs nothing from us to bring about his purposes and yet he uses secondary means (us) to accomplish his goals in history. We work for freedom but rest in Him for the outcome. It’s win-win.
