Ron DeSantis is amazing. We are so lucky to have him as our governor in Florida. No one else could have done this. Over 2 million people had their power restored in less than a week. Water and sewer operating again in most of the storm ravaged areas. NO LOOTING. Law and order. Tremendous cooperation between government, private companies and NGO's.

I sure wish we could clone him and make him governor of everywhere.

He is setting a great example for other governors and many of them are finding the courage to follow suit. I don’t know why we don’t hear more about them in the media.οΏΌ

And here in Michigan we are trying desperately to vote down a constitutional amendment that garnered enough signatures, (miraculously), to be on the November ballot right after Roe v Wade was overturned. If passed this law will open the floodgates for underage abortions, child mutilations, and puberty blockers, all without knowledge or consent of parents or guardians, along with a host of things that will make back alley abortions look good.

Expand full comment

OMG how did that get voted on. Some parents must be totally out of their minds.

Expand full comment

We vote on it in November. As soon as Roe v Wade was overturned this ballot initiative supposedly had 750,000 signatures to put it in the November ballot. Having been a signature collector for the Repeal the 45 law, it doesn’t happen that quickly or easily. Then it sailed right through the SOS office but ended up with a deadlocked Board of Canvassers, 2 and 2, along party lines. The deadlock was over 60 typographical errors, run on sentences, and over 100 character long words. This was in the original petition that signers signed but was going to be deleted in the proposal on the ballot. Problem is this has to go directly into the Constitution as worded on the petition. It went to the Michigan Supreme Court which now holds a Democratic majority thanks to 2020 and the steal, and they voted the night before the ballot language had to be approved to allow it on the ballot. They are hyping it as an abortion amendment for women’s reproductive rights listed as health care β€œfor all”. The language is vague and open ended and will make Michigan the abortion Mecca. We are trying like crazy to get through to parents if this passes they will lose their parental rights to their children’s health care. The lazy media in Michigan are making no attempts to ferret out what this amendment really is.

The reason you don't hear more about DeSantis's successes in the media is that the media does not "report." Media are propagandists and enforcers for the globalist elites who control this country. Concentration of wealth for them, poverty and communism for the rest of us. DeSantis is an obstacle.

Expand full comment

I agree, but I do hear about DeSantis' success. Maybe because I follow publications that write about him and interview him live and his own FB page and l live in Florida! But I was referring to other Governors that are doing good works. Maybe I don't hear about them for the opposite reason that I do hear about DeSantis - I don't follow them as much!

Expand full comment

There are multiple disparate mediums to choose from and they are anything but homogenous.

DeSantis is not a obstacle to anything that deserves to exist.

Expand full comment

They don't want him reelected, or want us to know.

Expand full comment

I wish him success, but it won't be as Governor, not for a term at least. I've lived in FL nigh on 20 years and only recently learnt that he cannot serve consecutively.

On Wednesday's news I caught the Pres. Biden tour of the hurricane damage. In my opinion, DeSantis erred in agreeing to be anywhere near Biden. His refusal to be on the same set as Biden would, of course have generated negative publicity, but it would have been the equivalent of millions of dollars of campaign advertising.

Expand full comment

From what I have read, here in Florida, a term is 4 yrs, the governor can run for 2 terms, consecutively, skip a 4 year term, and run again for governor.

I lived in California from 1950 to 2005 in and around the San Fernando Valley. I traveled up and down the coast and all around town. Had to get out. The traffic was horrible and personal income and sales taxes were getting out of hand. I picked Florida. What a smart call! I love it here and even more with DeSantis leading us through the Covid nightmare so sanely. And what he did to prepare us for Ian was groundbreaking. He really showed the States how to do it right. Learn from the past and prepare well in advance with the correct estimation of effort. We were so lucky in my town. Ian was headed for a direct hit then suddenly turned and hit about 100 miles south. Those poor people. But they have about 90% electricity back up, Musk has given them StarLink for internet, water is running, bridges are being repaired at warp speed. My son goes down everyday with a large group from our church with water, hygiene kits and food. And he and a few others are chainsaw experts who clear trees off the roads so all disaster relief people can get through and from peoples yards. I'm so proud of him and all the people there helping giving their time and money to help strangers in need.

What helped is his management of the state. He has been able to put $22 billion into the rainy day fund. Then he got the legislature to appropriate $500 million for disaster relief. My mother took the flu shot for as long as I can remember, for as long as there have been flu shots. I remember every year she had the flu AFTER the shot a little bit worse each time. She finally developed dementia with absolutely no familial history.οΏΌ I knew it was the flu shot before there was any real controversyοΏΌ about vaccinations. I have never had a flu shot for this reason and neither has anyone in my family and I tell the story to anyone who listen to discourage them as well. And of course I feel the same way about the experimental serum being mandated. I happen to be immune compromised and as careful as I was I did get Covid. But I road it out on my couch at homeοΏΌοΏΌ with Ivermectin, steroids and nebulizing glutathione which healed up my lungs at warp speed. Would love to know the essential oil protocol. I have several friends still suffering with the loss of taste and smell. For some reason everything she smells, smells like garlic.

Expand full comment

This took me a bit to look up my notes - that’s the reason it took me so long to respond.

οΏΌI had a one note sense of smell but I could never identify it.

It is extremely important to have certified pure, therapeutic grade oils. These cannot be bought at Walmart or Bed Bath and Beyond or from a company that is offering them at ridiculous prices. Avoid Amazon at all costs! They simply cannot be high quality because of what it takes to make a truly pure essential oil. Contaminated oils can do more harm than good. Reference a study done at Roseman University - Researchers Study dōTERRA Essential Oils [and 3 or 4 top name brands]. Go to roseman.edu and search dōTERRA

That being said, based on scientific studies, the four key oils to recover smell are rose, eucalyptus, lemon, and clove.οΏΌ You smell them in that order for about 10 seconds each and a short break in between. οΏΌ You can do that for five or six times a day if you want. I kept the oils on my coffee table in my living room and I would do it while I was watching TV.οΏΌ While you are smelling the oil you want to think of pleasant memories. When I was a little girl my grandpa, the love of my life, had an award-winning Rose garden and I would think of being with him in the garden. We had eucalyptus trees outback of our family home when I was growing up and I used to collect the acorns and grind them up with rocks, pretending I was an Indian making food! Then there was a time I walked through a lemon orchard and times I made lemonade with my kids that they could sell on the cornerοΏΌ. Clove recalled decades of fall Holiday memories. It’s a very fun exercise actually!οΏΌοΏΌ It took several weeks of doing this to start noticing a difference. It was οΏΌabout three months before I was about 95% recovered. I kind of gave up on it but this is inspired me to start again to get that final 5% so thanks for asking! πŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈπŸ’§πŸƒ

Doterra really works! I was a total skeptic, but my SIL had me try OnGuard (my kids would get sick every winter). Ever since no major illnesses and if they start sniffling they get it and that's the worst it gets. I've slowly been getting oils as I can afford to for different things and can verify Oregano oil works to get rid of warts, I didn't have Lavender to try on a wasp sting, but used Eucalyptus and it worked almost immediately! There really is a science to these. Apple cider vinegar works well too, I cleared up my strep throat with gargling that 3x a day.

By the way, Aura Cacia is the oldest essential oil company in the US and just as high a quality as Doterra at a fraction of the cost

Expand full comment

No disrespect, but I disagree. Here’s why. An essential oil company simply cannot make a pure oil at a fraction of the cost. All you have to do to verify this is ask that company to show you the 3rd party lab results before the oils are delivered to that company. The early oil companies are using middlemen to get their oils. DoTERRA Partners with the farmers and sets up farms all over the world and builds the infrastructureβ€˜s for the farmers to grow the plants and distill the oils. They are tested on site, they are tested when they arrive in the US twice by 3rd party labs and they are tested again by doTERRA when they arrive in house. No one does that to ensure quality and purity. And no other essential oil company works with hospitals and laboratories all over the country to discover what the oils do and how they work. Independent labs that have tested other essential oils have found contaminants that are actually harmful. It’s a very easy research task to discover what I said here. Just email your company and ask them to send you Independent lab results. You can start research here http://roseman.edu/ and search DoTERRA.

You can also go to pubmed.ncbi.nih.gov search doTERRA essential oils and find 21 results of peer reviewed papers on the oils. Then search for Aura Cacia and find no results.

Essential oils are no joke. They’re a nutraceutical and require a very special handling.

I guess it’s the old adage you get what you pay for!

Expand full comment

Doterra lost me with that certified therapeutic grade nonsense. There are no tests for grading essential oils, only for quality and purity. That’s why they have that little tm in a circle for trademark above that phrase.

NIH is the same source that’s been giving us β€œpeer reviewed safe and effective jab studies” for the last couple years.

I’ve actually done my own research on this already. Be back later with the sources I found.

I have used the below enzyme for decades (holistic dr told me to use it when diagnosed with prostate cancer). Caveat: must be taken on an empty stomach in order for the enzyme to get into your blood system. If you take with food, the enzyme is used up digesting the food.

I took Nutrizyme by American Nutraceuticals Clinical Strength. You can get it on Amazon. I took 10 a day for 10 days. You don't have to take them all at once. Take them an hour before a meal or 2 hours after.

I don't know of a before and after test. Maybe a blood test? They are being done for the spike protein but you would have to research where.

Neither mRNA nor science are "junk." Specific to using mRNA as a gene therapy, it holds much promise but to date there seem to be too many safety issues or even limited efficacy. The "junk" part to date has been the trashing of traditional ethics, discarding conventional investigative technique and silencing dissent. These fall purely into the political realm, having zero to do with true science.

Yes. The junk part is the "way" they have used the technology. So in that sense, they are PRACTICING junk science.

"I am opposed to total liability protection."

Me too, Jeff! To me, total liability protection is an Unconscionable Contract. Definition: If a contract is unfair or oppressive to one party in a way that suggests abuses during its formation, a court may find it unconscionable and refuse to enforce it. A contract is most likely to be found unconscionable if both unfair bargaining and unfair substantive terms are shown.

This liability freedom that's been gifted to Big Pharma should be undone by reasonable courts of law!

I gotta wonder how many of the (our?!) representatives, that voted for "no liability for pharma" amendment, had big investments in pharma at the time ... and still do, which is why it's not being overturned. πŸ€”πŸ˜

Expand full comment

I seriously doubt that ANY Congressman has not been on the take from BigPharma. Almost without exception, they are all corrupted and no one wants the truth to come out. Full financial public transparency should be a REQUIREMENT of membership in Congress. I doubt if anyone could withstand that illumination, so it will never happen.

Expand full comment

I think your analysis presupposes that the "other party" to the unconscionable contract is a government that is dedicated to protecting its citizens. What makes you think our government takes our interests into account? I'm more likely to think that the officials/entities granting immunity to Big Pharma did so for nefarious reasons of their own, reasons that have nothing to do with benefiting the people. But you raise an interesting point. Jeff, have there been any legal challenges to the liability protections, perhaps on the theory that the people were the intended third party beneficiaries and their the government violated its duty?

It was the Vaccine Injury Act of 1996 that created the VAERS court and exempted Vaccine makers from liability. In a nutshell they were being sued for reactions and threatened to stop making vaccines. So, Reagan was convinced , by Henry Waxman I believe, to sign the bill. You’re limited to a 250k payment and you have to use attorneys in DC, where the Court is located. If they even take your case. The childhood vaccine schedule has grown exponentially. A good site for more information is www.learntherisk.org

I disagree. Imagine a world where you or your doctor could prescribe nearly any product you wanted, for any purpose. That would be maximal medical freedom. But at what cost? Very simple, you give up any and all rights to sue. Except perhaps for something like impurity of product. The waiver of liability must be fully informed and voluntary. Under my regime, liability claims would be allowed, but only for 'approved" treatments by "approved" practitioners. The latter would be paid by some version of regular insurance. The patient would pay a higher price for the good or service, to compensate for the right to sue in the event something goes wrong.

Welcome back, Jack I mean Jeff. 😎Commenting today before reading, as this passage from Ezra struck me last night, but I absolutely must go back to sleep. The verses are followed by commentary from Matthew Henry.

But at the evening offering I arose from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn, and I fell on my knees and stretched out my hands to the Lord my God; and I said, β€œO my God, I am ashamed and embarrassed to lift up my face to You, my God, for our iniquities have risen above our heads and our guilt has grown even to the heavens. Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and on account of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity and to plunder and to open shame, as it is this day. But now for a brief moment grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us an escaped remnant and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage.”

β€” Ezra 9:5-8 NASB1995

Matthew Henry on Ezra 9

Matthew Henry:

Though but a little reviving, it was a great favour, considering that they deserved none and the day of small things was an earnest of greater. "Now," says Ezra, "how ungrateful are we to offend a God that has been so kind to us! how disingenuous to mingle in sin with those nations from whom we have been, in wonderful mercy, delivered! how unwise to expose ourselves to God's displeasure when we are tried with the returns of his favour and are upon our good behaviour for the continuance of it!"

Please Lord…even just a little reviving…

Janice, the word that caught my attention in this reading is - Remnant. I love the idea of remnants of God’s people throughout all time…it was a remnant saved from the flood, Mary and Joseph were a part of a remnant through which God brought Jesus into the world. On and on, true believers are a remnant living out the purpose for which God has chosen them.

There is a reason why the Greek word β€œpharmakeia” translated as β€œpharmacy” or β€œpharmacist” appears in Galatians 5:20 and Revelation 18:23. Terms from the same root word appear in Revelation 9:21, Revelation 21:8, and Revelation 22:15. These are typically translated into English as β€œsorcery,” β€œwitchcraft,” or β€œsorcerer.” The pharmaceutical companies will play a role in the end. Alas, they already have!

Expand full comment

Before you Believers fall down the Blame-Satan rabbit hole, a bit of historical context. In the first place, until fairly modern times, in many places, the closest thing to a doctor was something like a Gypsy healer or a witch doctor. They often had knowledge of herbs which was basically the only thing with any medicinal value. Thus, equating a "witch" with a "healer" is not completely unjustified. Until probably the 20th century, the average patient was likely better off NOT seeing anyone who called himself a "doctor of medicine." There are still plenty of isolated places on Earth where the nearest "real" MD is hours away and unaffordable even if local. In such cases, one's medical treatment may be best-guess by a village elder using herbs or perhaps over-the-counter "normal" drugs.

I'm surprised no one mentions that "pharmacy" comes from the same root as "poison." Yes, that sounds ominous at first go doesn't it? Surely more Devil's doings! Not so fast. The dose makes the poison. The right dose is a medicine. A big dose can be harmful or fatal. This was especially true with older drugs, where the margin of safety between those two was quite narrow. There are good reasons, for instance, why ether is not used for anesthesia any more.

Expand full comment

What translation would show the original pharmakeia vs sorcery or witchcraft? Seems none of my Bibles show that.

Unless you have a Bible written in the Greek you would not find the Greek lexicon β€œpharmakeia” written. Here is a resource for you to explore the transliteration of this word https://www.biblestudytools.com/lexicons/greek/nas/pharmakeia.html
