"Voting harder isn’t going to cut it. We have to build. The existing system will collapse. It’s not a matter of if, but when. When that happens we need to have Christian infrastructure in place to fill the power vacuum. The Amish have had it right this entire time. Their communities are growing and thriving. They will continue to do well. We must become a form of neoamish, building sovereign communities and families away from Babylon. Technology is okay and a good tool. It’s something we can use to our advantage to communicate, build, and engage in commerce with one another.
We are the new pilgrims. We must move to deep red states, push them further right, build, and secure a future for our families. Forget politics at the national level. That rigged game is over. Focus on state and local elections, not what is going on in DC.
Conservatism has failed. It has been trying to conserve a country and a culture that is never coming back and has long been gone. The future of the West depends on those of us who are going to build. Build our own infrastructure, our own families, our own communities, our own parallel economy, and our own strongholds of deep red states. We’ll build a wall around the borders of those states if that’s what it comes to. We need to accept exile from Babylon and get to work."
Agree with most of this, but we cannot forget national politics until we divorce our infrastructure from it. We MUST refuse all federal dollars. That's the control lever, giving all the other illegal and unConstitutional policies teeth.
The 10th amendment and federalism in a moral society are key, but first we need to ween ourselves off the gov't money.
"They suggest that state legislatures should enact a “State Sovereignty and Federal Tax Funds Act,” known as an “escrow” law. Federal taxes would be required to go into a special fund controlled by the state government. Once they calculate the actual constitutional federal spending, the state would only send that percentage of funds to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Remaining funds would go toward state expenditures that were reliant on federal funding, or be returned to taxpayers." They also suggest eliminating the Federal Reserve.
"We MUST refuse all federal dollars." 33T in debt and sky-high inflation due to QE and printing - won't last much longer - especially as other countries move away from the dollar...
I have come to the same conclusion. Conservativism has failed. I truly thought that there were millions of true Americans just waiting to vote these clowns out of office. But no, after Afghanistan, inflation, covid tyranny and on and on and on, but no. The citizens of this "country" (any nation that can't control it's own borders is not truly an independent nation anymore) decided that this insane unlawful government is exactly what they want. I KNOW there was vote fraud but I don't believe that it is the only reason this turned into nearly a demoncratic victory. And I don't believe that Trump helped, in fact he hurt the cause imo.
Have to agree in the sense that those who call themselves "conservatives" have failed to conserve a single thing. I don't think Conservatism in itself failed, but that it was co-opted by corrupt crony capitalists (Ryan, Boehner, McConnell, McCarthy, National Review, ad nauseum) who portrayed themselves as Conservatives but actually weren't. These people fooled us into thinking being pro-multinational corporation was the same things as being pro-free market. They aren't.
In addition, these same people were also libertarian rather than conservative on social issues. They insisted we surrender on traditional marriage, gay rights, and a host of other issues claiming that these were side issues that would drag the party down. It was not until the state demanded the right to actively promote homosexuality and mutilate our children's bodies, that people started revolting. These same alleged "conservatives" didn't say a word about it until they were forced to, even then their criticism was muted. They are not Conservatives.
It's not "Conservatism" that failed, but people we allowed to lead us that called themselves conservatives. The last real conservative was probably Ronald Reagan though despite his mistakes, he actually believed what he said. He was also the last Republican to have a successful presidency which is no coincidence.
Thank you for a clarification. I get very frustrated and emotional about it all. In the Navy I was willing to die for this country during it's various wars. Now I ask myself "Who's country?" Die for this gangs of demonic clowns? Not me. It's very personal and hurtful watching it torn apart.
Agree...Though I admire what Trump did for the country...his behavior only made the Trump haters hate him even more...and that spread to the GOP and undecided. He can be SO Presudential when he wants to be. See his last Ohio rally. He is his own worst enemy.
Yup, and the fact that so many refuse to see this is a real problem. You can love his policies, even love the man personally, and still realize he's a loose cannon. When someone dares mention this they get attacked, called RINO's, sell-outs, and worse.
There's a faction of Trump supporters that are just as bad as anything on the left with an "ends justifies the means" mentality. Trump encourages this with his reckless behavior such as his unprovoked attacks on DeSantis and Youngkin. It's ugly no matter which side is doing it.
The problem is that we need to convince the great mushy middle, the people with no real political philosophy or principles. They may like the results of Trump's policies, but they don't like his behavior. Understandably, in all fairness.
There was really good R turnout, just not in all the spots we needed. Anecdotally, my entire family voted R in Florida, even though it was probably meaningless in the big scheme of things given how overwhelmingly the conservatives won. But we all made it a point to vote - it was a vote of confidence in DeSantis and a rejection of Covidianism. Just wish that had happened everywhere. And I agree with you that Trump didn't help in some areas. I have family in other states who would vote R except when it comes to Trump (not that I agree with them necessarily).
Hopefully nobody ever believes that casting a ballot is meaningless. Never believe the polls, never take anything for granted and if the elections are going to be stolen make them do it each and every time. But I understand your perspective.
So, are you saying that if your voting precinct is in a blue area of the country and you are not in favor of that sort of government you should not bother to vote or something else?
Your candidate is not going to win when you live somewhere where one side and one side only will keep harvesting ballots until their side wins.... So what's the point of voting when what matters is how many ballots you harvest or create???
Your candidate is positively not going to win if you don't vote. At this point you are saying that whomever has the best methodology for altering the numbers will win the elections. If that is the case, skip the voting and let's just have a technology battle to see who will have superior election hacks. Thought you would be a bit more rational CS.
"At this point you are saying that whomever has the best methodology for altering the numbers will win the elections." You nailed right there... That's blue states summed up... You are NOT going to vote your way out or get the results you want by voting harder and you won't change many mindsets...
It was because you all made sure to go out and vote that that huge conservative result happened in Florida. Continue your mindset because it is important and keeps Florida free.
The failure of the Conservative message is the only likely reason for the vote splitting that went on. Agree some funny business went on in some states, but that is not the whole answer. I cannot even imagine voting for a D in this current environment yet it appears that I am in the minority, and lots of folks did just that, vote for candidates on both sides. https://ballotpedia.org/Election_results,_2022:_Split-ticket_voting_in_statewide_elections
Well, me too, but there seem to be more low information voters out there than I realized. I have run across an occasional person who smugly will say, 'oh I am an INDEPENDENT, I don't vote the party, I vote the candidate. Heck, 20 years ago I may have voted for a D or 2. But ever since 2008, the lines have become very clear. Independent to me means "guess you don't pay much attention." I get that the R party has plenty of issues, but a 3rd party vote in most races is a vote for the D's. I used to see a fair number of Green Party candidates back in the day but they are very rare now. None this year even in the primary on my ballot. Guess the D's paid them off, not that they differ much nowadays anyway.
We can’t separate like that. Our sole purpose on earth is to share the gospel and live it out in front of unbelievers. Communes won’t help others find their way to faith in Jesus. We will be unknown and just weird to them.
I agree we must be witnesses of the Light of God, but this world has now become so depraved that you must protect yourself from being conformed to its standards. Protecting children, at this point, is a primary goal.
I, no longer, want to listen to lies, immorality and excuses from pagans or those masquerading under the guise of religion. So, I’ll excuse myself from them to protect my own soul and sanity.
“But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.”
FYI: Most of the world is getting fed up with toxic western wokeness and see through our sham elections... What the wokesters at home think will be increasingly irrelevant...
I have only read a little bit about the gab guy lately. Could you describe more about why he's distasteful? I think a lot of us really haven't followed it much
He makes some statements against Jews and about things like replacement, or male/female roles that rub people the wrong way. I don’t like or agree with some of the things he says (I also think conflating some of the Jewish people in positions of power with average regular people is wrong, and a lot of those are barely nominally Jewish, kind of like saying Pelosi and Biden represent Catholics, but that is a whole other discussion I guess). But I think he’s got some things right and I also admire him for his refusal to back down even when banks and other companies refuse him service because of his views.
I used to be on Gab a lot after Parler was shut down (I particularly admire Torba for his savvy in avoiding the same fate, by not being beholden to Amazon, Apple etc.). But there was too much trolling and people just spouting off nonsense and vitriol. I prefer civil and reasoned discussions, so Substack seems to suit me better on that score. But I do like some things that Torba has said and done.
If you are on GAB and he is in your feed, expect alot of "jew rants" - either blatant or subtle without mentioning them by name but everyone knows who he is talking about... Maybe if he spent less time ranting on them, GAB would be further along with his ideas of a parallel economy that they can't cancel... Parler apparently is also getting into data services and other back-end stuff that's needed...

Interesting piece at Corey's Digs:

Agree CraigN.
Its meaningless IF you are in a BLUE AREA of the country...
So, are you saying that if your voting precinct is in a blue area of the country and you are not in favor of that sort of government you should not bother to vote or something else?
Yea... But if you want to waste your time giving credibility to Kabuki theatre, go right ahead and participate in state and federal races...
So, unless you know that your candidate is going to win there is no point in voting. Wow. (head scratch)
Your candidate is not going to win when you live somewhere where one side and one side only will keep harvesting ballots until their side wins.... So what's the point of voting when what matters is how many ballots you harvest or create???

I'm hard pressed to think of anything that would cause me to vote D.
